WWE’s Cathy Kelley Is Having An Extremely Rough Day

WWE personality Cathy Kelley might’ve just experienced the roughest day of her life.

Kelley currently works for the Stamford-based promotion as an interviewer for SmackDown every Friday. She joined WWE in 2016 as a correspondent for NXT and made her official television debut on November 1, 2019, before leaving in 2020. The 37-year-old returned on October 6, 2022, as a backstage interviewer for RAW until June 2023, when she joined SmackDown. Afterwards, she quietly swapped shows with Byron Saxton in February 2024, returning to RAW until July 2025, where she currently does interviews for Friday Nights.

Kelley maintains a busy schedule as a WWE broadcast journalist. However, there may be times when she finds herself in an unfortunate situation. On X, the interviewer shared that she had a terrible day as she listed what happened to her. First, her flight was cancelled, so her redeye was rebooked.

Later on, she found out that someone had stolen her luggage, and when she tried to check into a hotel to get some rest, her assigned room had been given away and would only be available after she went to work.

LA Knight Gave A Shout-Out to Cathy Kelley’s Mother on WWE SmackDown

On the November 29th episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight took time for a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley before his match at The Last Time Is Now Tournament against a mystery opponent.

The Megastar emphasized that if a certain competitor is not available, his opponent should move on in a “bye,” but quickly stopped on his tracks to apologize to the WWE personality by saying he didn’t mean to shoot the messenger.

Knight then said hello to Kelley’s mother, who was in attendance.

Eventually, Knight’s mystery opponent was revealed to be The Miz, whom he defeated in the quarterfinal round. LA, however, could not go all the way in the tournament as he eventually lost to Gunther in the finals.
