WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia says she hopes to announce John Cenaâ€s final match when he officially retires later this year.
Cena is currently in the last stage of his farewell tour, with only four appearances left. His final match is scheduled for WWE Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event on December 13, 2025, in Washington, D.C., marking the official end of his in-ring career.
During an Instagram Live Q&A, Lilian Garcia announced she recently got engaged. She also shared that she will likely be part of John Cenaâ€s final match unless plans change. “I will be there, so barring any surprises that I donâ€t know, I will be announcing it. Hopefully, fingers crossed.â€
She shared that the moment would be extra special for her because she was the first to introduce Cena early in his career when he performed as “The Prototype.†“Itâ€d be really cool, especially because I announced John Cena as The Prototype before he was John Cena. It was at a live event. Iâ€ll never forget, I was there, and I was like, ‘Who is this Prototype guy?’â€
“When he came out, I was like, ‘Wow, heâ€s got a look.†And then just to see his entire career, itâ€s been absolutely incredible. And what heâ€s done now with the Farewell Tour. So, fingers crossed that I get to announce that. It would be such an honor. Absolute honor.†[H/T: WrestlePurists]
