WWE SmackDown saw a decrease in viewership on September 26.
According to Programming Insider, SmackDown averaged 1.238 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.35 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last weekâ€s episode, when an average of 1.342 million viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last weekâ€s show (0.37 rating in the same demographic).
What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?
This weekâ€s show kicked off with a promo from Paul Heyman, who was interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked Rhodes, but he was saved by Randy Orton.
The Street Profits defeated Melo Donâ€t Miz to become the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
Elsewhere on the show, Sami Zayn defeated Jeâ€Von Evans in the US Title Open Challenge.
In the main event of the evening, Tiffany Stratton defeated Nia Jax and Jade Cargill in a triple threat match to retain the WWE Womenâ€s Championship.
