It sounds like what we saw kick off this weekâ€s episode of WWE RAW wasnâ€t the original plan.
Last nightâ€s episode of WWE RAW kicked off with General Manager Adam Pearce stripping Seth Rollins of the World Heavyweight Championship due to injury and taking the title away from Bron Breakker.
However, a new report suggests that this was supposed to play out differently.
According to TC of WrestleVotes Radio, a lot of things changed in regards to the opening segment of RAW. Tweeting out:
“A source backstage at #WWERaw in Sacramento tells me there were a lot of late changes to the opening segment where Adam Pearce stripped Seth Rollins of the World Heavyweight Championship. Original plans had things playing out differently than what we ultimately saw on screen,†TC of WrestleVotes Radio said in a post.
Is Triple H adopting Vince McMahonâ€s previously bad habits?
We donâ€t know what the original plans were as of this writing. However, itâ€s interesting to hear that WWE made a lot of late changes to the segment. As things like this were more common during the Vince McMahon regime than whatâ€s been occurring under Triple H.
The opening segment led to a battle royal in the main event of the evening, which was won by Jey Uso. He will go one-on-one with CM Punk later this month on Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship. This upset many fans who believe Bron Breakker should have been in Usoâ€s position.
WrestleZone will have live coverage of WWE Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event later this month.
