WWE Clash In Paris 2025 Announced Match Card: WWE Clash In Paris is the upcoming premium live event by the biggest pro wrestling company in the world. This will be their first PLE in France since the historic Backlash 2024, which took place in the city of Lyon. This show is the third-ever “Clash” WWE PLE that takes place in Europe. The first two were Clash At The Castle 2022 and 2024, which took place in Wales and Scotland, respectively.

This show in Paris is shaping up to be a memorable one. We are just over a week away from the event, and four matches have been announced for the show. With WWE generally preferring five matches on a PLE show, it means that at least one more match will be added to the card in the coming week.

Today, we will look at the Clash in Paris 2025 match card, discuss a few matches that could be added to the show, and reveal the one match that was previously announced but has since been cancelled.

First, let us start with the announced matches –

WWE Clash In Paris 2025 Announced Match Card

    1) John Cena vs. Logan Paul: Singles Match

John Cena’s heel turn during his WWE retirement run was a mixed bag. While the turn itself was a generational moment, the subsequent title reign and his heel act could be considered underwhelming. But now, in the final stretch of his retirement run, the 17-time world champion has finally turned face. Now, without a title, his first match since losing to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam will see him take on the ever-detested Logan Paul.

The two men, back when both were heels, teamed together for a tag match at Money in the Bank 2025 in a losing cause against Rhodes and Jey Uso. After SummerSlam, when Cena put out a challenge, Paul accepted.

The two men’s rivalry is heating up week by week. On the most recent episode of SmackDown, the pair torched each other on the mic, with Cena showing why he is considered the GOAT on the microphone. In response, Logan laid John out with a rogue punch backstage.

These two will compete in a one-on-one match that has the ability and the star power to steal the show.

    2) Sheamus vs. Rusev: Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match

After almost two decades on the WWE main roster and being one of the most popular stars in the company, it is only right that Sheamus gets his own signature match type. That happened in 2022 with the Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match. The latest rendition of this match type will see the Irish superstar take on Rusev.

Rusev returned to the WWE after WrestleMania 41, back after a promising yet underwhelming run in AEW as Miro. He tormented the Alpha Academy following his return. And after a particularly brutal attack, Sheamus came out to rescue. The two have a long history together, with them being two quarters of the ‘League of Nations’ faction around 2015.

This will be the fourth Sheamus vs. Rusev one-on-one match over the last two months. The Bulgarian Brute won the first one, with the Celtic Warrior picking up the second. Their most recent match ended in a double count-out, and the match at Clash in Paris will seemingly be the feud-ender.

    3) Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed: Singles Match

We covered the entire story behind the Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed match recently (can link the Roman vs. Reed article). But in short, the decade-long rivalry between Reigns and Seth Rollins led up to the WrestleMania 41 Night One main event, where the two competed in a triple-threat match that also featured CM Punk. Paul Heyman betrayed Roman and Punk to align himself with Rollins.

Over the coming weeks, Seth’s faction grew to include Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The two youngsters took on the team of Roman and Jey Uso at SummerSlam. Over the past month, ‘The Vision’ has been attacking the Tribal Chief. On two such occasions, after hitting Reigns with the Tsunami, Reed would ‘steal’ Roman’s sneakers. After doing it twice, he started wearing them around his neck, calling it the ‘Shoe-la-fala’, and dubbing himself the ‘Tribal Thief.’

The two will now compete in a one-on-one match, which will be the biggest match of Bronson Reed’s career. However, Roman Reigns is just leading up to an even bigger match against the man who is most likely to be the breakout star of this faction, Bron Breakker.

    4) Seth Rollins (c) vs. CM Punk vs. LA Knight vs. Jey Uso: Fatal-Four-Way for the World Heavyweight Championship

Seth Rollins has been feuding with LA Knight since before Money in the Bank this year. At the total ladder match, Knight almost brought the briefcase down, but Rollins ended up winning the match. At Saturday Night’s Main Event a month later, Mr. Los Angeles Knight defeated Mr. Money in the Bank after Seth seemingly injured his knee for real.

However, after CM Punk defeated Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, Rollins revealed that it was all a ruse. He cashed in his MitB contract and became the champion. Couple that with the long-standing rivalry between Punk and Rollins, and it was sure that their beef was far from over.

So we know why LA Knight deserves a title shot and why CM Punk does. But how did Jey Uso enter the picture? Over a week after SummerSlam, The Vision was beating down Punk and Knight after the babyface duo defeated Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed via disqualification. ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso came out to rescue the pair. So after the brawl ended and the two sides were separated, the RAW General Manager, Adam Pierce, walked out and announced a fatal four-way match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash In Paris, where champion Seth Rollins will have to defend his title against the top three babyfaces on the RAW roster.

Naomi (c) vs Stephanie Vaquer: Singles Match For The Women’s World Championship

After a memorable heel turn earlier this year, Naomi embarked on the most successful run of her WWE career. A heated feud with Jade Cargill was followed by her qualifying for and then winning the Ms. Money in the Bank match. In the main event of the all-women’s PLE Evolution, Iyo Sky defended her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley in an instant classic. Towards the end of that match, Naomi cashed in her briefcase, made it a triple-threat match, and won the title.

The same night, Stephanie Vaquer won the Evolution Battle Royal to get a title shot at the Women’s World title. After Nami defended the belt in an excellent triple threat against Sky and Ripley at SummerSlam, the match was locked in for Clash in Paris.

However, earlier this week, Naomi announced that she will relinquish the title, as she is pregnant with her first child and will go on maternity leave amidst her best run in the WWE. So the planned title match has understandably been cancelled.

WWE Clash In Paris 2025 Probable Matches

These are some feuds that can lead up to a match at Clash in Paris. Mind you, only one of these will likely be at the PLE.

    1) Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton: Singles Match

Drew McIntyre has had a simmering rivalry with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for some time now. So, a couple of weeks ago, the Scottish Psychopath laid the champ out with a brutal Claymore Kick against the announce table. Cody, in the storyline, is injured and unable to compete. Really, he is just away filming his role for the upcoming ‘Street Fighter’ movie.

On this week’s episode of SmackDown, while McIntyre was in the ring, Rhodes’ friend Randy Orton slithered into the squared circle and hit Drew with an RKO out of nowhere, teasing an upcoming match between the two, probably at Clash in Paris.

    2) Aleister Black vs. Damien Priest

Aleister Black returned to the WWE a month after WrestleMania 41. For the past month or so, he has been embroiled in a rivalry with R-Truth and Damien Priest. He has competed against the two in multiple matches, but none of them ended in a clean result.

On the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Truth was supposed to take on Black. But in a classic R-Truth gag, he travelled to Dublin, Georgia, instead of Dublin, Ireland. Damien Priest was his replacement. But instead of having a match, Damien and Aleister had a massive brawl. This teases a hard-hitting match between the two in the near future. And with Clash in Paris being the upcoming PLE, it only makes sense.

    3) Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella: Singles Match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship

This is a classic big-name rivalry with a title on the line. In recent weeks, Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella have had a back-and-forth on the mic, which would eventually dissolve into a brawl. While this match is in our near future, it is not known whether the site for it will be at the Clash in Paris.

    4) Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Sami Zayn or Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga vs. Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso

Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, now called the MFT, has been feuding with Sami Zayn and The Usos for over a year now. Now, there are a few combinations this match can take place in. With Solo Sikoa being the United States Champion and Sami Zayn eyeing gold, a singles title match between the two is predictable. However, if WWE wants to shake things up and leave the title match for a later date, a tag-team match is also a possibility at Clash in Paris, where Solo will team up with his MFT teammate Talla Tonga, while Sami will tag with long-time ally Jimmy Uso.

WWE Clash In Paris 2025 Date and Time

WWE Clash In Paris 2025 premium live event will emanate live from the Paris La Défense Arena in the Nanterre prefecture in the suburbs of Paris, France. The show will take place on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 10:30 pm IST (7:00 pm local time).
