Je’Von Evans has apparently made quite a splash backstage in WWE.
The 21-year-old star is already making a good impression behind the scenes. Joining the Stamford-based promotion in 2023, he took on some of the best names in NXT and managed to earn the respect of even Ilja Dragunov, although he lost his first match. Since then, he has continued to perform at a high level and is scheduled to face Gunther on RAW next, as part of the Last Time Is Now Tournament.
According to a recent report by BodySlam on Patreon, Evans is believed by several executives to be not just the present, but also the future of the company. The significant screen time and exposure he is getting are a testament to how much the company believes in his ability.

The Young WWE Star Was Recently Praised By Sheamus
The Celtic Warrior went up against Je’Von Evans recently in a WWE NXT live house show. While the match ended with Sheamus picking up the win, Evans apparently impressed him enough for the veteran to put him over afterwards.
After the match ended, a video recorded by fans showed Sheamus praising Evans and hugging him. He also told the 21-year-old star to beat up Gunther on RAW.
Not only are you an unbelievable high-flyer with some gifted ability, you were also a tough ba**ard tonight. Tonight, you earned of my respect, and everyone elseâ€s respect here in St. Paul. The future is in safe hands lad. So do us all a favor and kick Guntherâ€s a**!

Considering Gunther’s brute strength and experience, it would be a surprise if Evans even manages to put up a fight, let alone take down The Ring General. However, stranger things have happened in World Wrestling Entertainment.
