AJ Lee has signed a new WWE contract.
Shortly after her return to the company on Friday’s SmackDown, Triple H posted a video of Lee signing her new WWE contract.
“Ink to paper…the calm before the storm,” he wrote.
He also posted an additional picture of himself with Lee and CM Punk following her return on SmackDown.
After being gone from the company for the last ten years, Lee made her return to WWE on Friday’s SmackDown, skipping to the ring to confront Becky Lynch who had repeatedly slapped her husband just moments before. Lee eventually made it to the ring and took out Lynch with a Thesz press, then sent her packing with a slap. The last moments of SmackDown saw Lee and Punk hug to close out the show.
Lee had been gone from WWE for over 10 years, choosing to retire after WrestleMania 31 due to a neck injury. She chose to largely remain out of pro wrestling during that time, instead developing a career as a writer and a mental health advocate.
