WWE’s takeover of AAA has seen a complete overhaul of the creative team for the Mexican company. While many assumed Triple H and The Undertaker have major roles in AAA, it seems that might not really be the case.
Ernesto Ocampo of Superluchas reported on the real creative structure within AAA. He noted that Triple H is not actually involved in AAA’s creative direction, though WWE’s narrative positions him as the mastermind behind it.
The person leading the company creatively is Jeremy Borash, who serves as the main producer and Chief Creative Officer. He is supported by Konnan, who remains the most familiar with the company’s direction but now works more in an advisory role.
It was further revealed that the Undertaker does not hold an official position but attends AAA events out of passion for the product and continues to support the company in that way.
“What we know is that Triple H actually has no involvement in AAA’s creative side — but with WWE’s new narrative, it’s important for him to appear as the genius behind it all. The main producer and Chief Creative Officer is Jeremy Borash, supported by Konnan, who is the most familiar with the direction of the company, though he now acts more as an advisor. The Undertaker doesn’t really have an official position. He just wanted to attend AAA events and continue supporting them, and there’s no one as passionate about the product as he is.”
This comes after Triple H named The Undertaker as the driving force behind WWE and AAA’s expansion in Mexico. Now that the real creative team has been revealed, fans better understand who is guiding AAA’s new direction, so we’ll have to see how the relationship continues to develop in the coming weeks.
Do you think Jeremy Borash and Konnan are the right duo to lead AAA creatively or should Triple H and The Undertaker actually have some creative involvement? Sound off in the comments.
