Most Royal Rumble Wins:The Royal Rumble is a professional wrestling event produced annually by WWE since 1988. It is named after the Royal Rumble match, a variation of the battle royal where wrestlers enter the ring at timed intervals rather than all starting together. The inaugural event took place in 1988 as a television special on the USA Network. From 1989 onward, it became a pay-per-view event and has been livestreamed since 2015.

The Royal Rumble match usually serves as the main event. Exceptions include 1988, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2013, and 2023, where a menâ€s world championship match was the main event instead. The first womenâ€s Royal Rumble match took place in 2018, and that event was also the first to feature both menâ€s and womenâ€s Rumble matches on the same card. Since then, both versions have become standard.

The 2025 Royal Rumble was the first to be hosted in an NFL stadium. The 2026 edition will mark the first time the event is held outside North America, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, also making it the first of WWEâ€s “Big Five†events to be hosted in the country.

Stone Cold Steve Austin holds the record with three Royal Rumble wins in 1997, 1998, and 2001. He famously re-entered in 1997 to eliminate Bret Hart, then beat The Rock in 1998, and in 2001 eliminated Haku, Billy Gunn, and Kane to win his third.

Cody Rhodes won in 2023 and 2024, entering 30th and 15th, eliminating Gunther and CM Punk. Edge claimed victories in 2010 and 2021, entering 29th and 1st, becoming one of the few to win from the opening spot.

Triple H won in 2002 and 2016, John Cena in 2008 and 2013, Batista in 2005 and 2014, Brock Lesnar in 2003 and 2022, and Randy Orton in 2009 and 2017, each winning the Royal Rumble two times in their career.
