Titus Oâ€Neil Addresses Possibility of WWE In-Ring Return After Years Away

Titus Oâ€Neil may be known these days as WWEâ€s Global Ambassador, but fans havenâ€t forgotten about his time in the ring. With years passed since his last match, the former WWE Tag Team Champion is now speaking openly about whether heâ€ll ever lace up the boots again.

During an appearance on Inside the Ring, Oâ€Neil made it clear heâ€s not ruling out a return, but it all depends on the right moment—and WWEâ€s interest.

“Itâ€s definitely a possibility now. But again, itâ€s all based on the situation — whether the company wants me to do it or not. It would have to be the right scenario for it to happen.â€

While the door is open, Oâ€Neil also admitted heâ€s more than content staying in front of the cameras without risking injury. At 47, he remains committed to his health, training five days a week and even adding Pilates to his routine. But he knows firsthand that no amount of gym time truly prepares you for in-ring action.

“Iâ€ll be honest with you, though — Iâ€m happy being in front of the cameras and not having to take bumps. Iâ€m still in great shape; I work out five times a week and even do Pilates now. Iâ€ll always stay in shape, but being in ring shape is a completely different challenge, as anyone whoâ€s taken time away and come back can tell you.â€

Whether itâ€s wrestling, commentary, or anything else WWE-related, Titus says he views every opportunity as a gift. And heâ€s ready to embrace any role the company asks of him.

“Anytime I get a chance to do something — whether itâ€s in the ring or on television with WWE — itâ€s a blessing, and I treat it as such. Itâ€s an opportunity. WWE gave me the Titus Oâ€Neil character, and if thereâ€s ever a need for that character to be in the ring, on commentary, or on screen in any way, Iâ€ll always be open to it.â€

Beyond the squared circle, Oâ€Neil believes WWE has given him a platform thatâ€s far bigger than any match or storyline—one that allows him to inspire and unite people across the world.

“For me, WWE gave me a platform that allows me to bring people together from all walks of life, whether Iâ€m in the ring or not. Thatâ€s a powerful reminder of how great this business is — and how blessed I am to be part of it.â€

Titus Oâ€Neil hasnâ€t wrestled since late 2020, but if the right opportunity presents itself, fans may still see one last run. And judging by his mindset, heâ€s ready whenever WWE needs him.
