Tiffany Stratton set another record as the WWE Women’s Champion in her extraordinary year.
Stratton is making real history with her run as the Women’s Champion. She won the title on January 3, 2025, when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax. Since taking the Women’s Championship, Stratton has faced a ton of tough challengers. She beat Bayley just two weeks after winning on SmackDown, then Jax came up on Valentine’s Day. Later, she faced Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41 and came out on top.
Stratton beat Jax again in a Last Woman Standing match to end their feud once and for all. At WWE Evolution in July, she defeated Trish Stratus, and at SummerSlam in August, she beat Jade Cargill, who got the title opportunity after becoming Queen of the Ring. Every defense has shown her ability to handle whoever steps up to challenge her for the title.
Now at 297 days into her reign, she’s sitting in third place for the longest championship runs in WWE history. The 26-year-old from Minnesota has proven herself as one of the toughest competitors in the women’s division. She celebrated this milestone by posting it on her Instagram story, without any caption, as the achievement speaks for itself.

Only two women have held the title longer than Stratton: Bianca Belair held it for 419 days, while Becky Lynch held it for 398 days. Stratton is chasing both their records and still has time to move up the list. She’s defended her title multiple times against top competition, proving why she deserves to wear the gold.
Tiffany Stratton is the Longest Active Champion Right Now
Stratton has the longest active title reign of any current WWE champion. While other champions have lost their belts and new ones took over, Stratton has kept the Women’s Championship. That says a lot about how long she’s managed to hold on while everything around her has shifted.
Before becoming champion, Stratton won the Money in the Bank briefcase at the event earlier last year, which guaranteed a shot at any title she wanted. When she used it against Jax on that January SmackDown, that cash-in changed everything for her career. Now she’s one of the biggest names in women’s wrestling and a top draw on the SmackDown brand.
Looking ahead, Stratton is still hunting for history. She needs 101 more days to tie Becky Lynch’s record and 122 more days to reach Bianca Belair’s mark. If she keeps the title, she could become the longest-reigning WWE Women’s Champion in the modern era.
