Multiple big matches have been announced for next week’s episode of Raw.
After Finn Balor refused to help Dominik Mysterio due to their confrontation last week, JD McDonagh reluctantly agreed to help the IC Champion in dealing with his ‘Rusev problem’ on this week’s Raw. This resulted in a match between JD and Rusev.
Dom tried to interfere in this bout but the referee warned him off, and the Bulgarian Brute picked up the victory with the Accolade. Rusev continued pushing on even after the bell rang, and Dom stayed frozen at the ringside until Finn Balor came out to make the save.
Balor then yelled at Mysterio for not helping JD. After this it was announced that Rusev will be challenging Dominik for the IC Title on Raw next week.
Jey Uso also made an appearance on tonight’s show after a concerning spot during the WrestlePalooza PPV. The former world champion showed a more intense side of him while interacting with his brother Jimmy Uso and Cody Rhodes backstage.
The Yeet Man went on to pick up a singles victory over LA Knight later in the show, thanks to some interference from Bron ‘n Bron Connection. Jimmy Uso showed up after the bell, trying to get his brother to help Knight fight the duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
After Jey refused to get back in the ring, Jimmy picked up a chair and fought off the heels on his own. It was later announced that The Usos will face Bron ‘n Bron Connection in a WrestlePalooza rematch at Raw next week.
Apart from this, a singles match between Bayley and Raquel Rodriguez, and a tag team bout where AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will face two of the three El Grande Americanos, has also been confirmed for the September 29 show.
The stars were out in Indianapolis for WWEâ€s Wrestlepalooza.
Wrestlepalooza marked WWEâ€s debut on ESPN. The event was hyped up all week in the hopes of getting WWE fans to watch on TV or attend in person. One “surprising†name that showed up in Indy was Ava Addams.
Addams describes herself as a social media content creator. However, if youâ€re more familiar with some of her earlier work (like some of the fans in the comments section), you also know sheâ€s a former adult film star.
One fan found a picture of her during a meet and greet with WWE Superstar Kairi Sane, questioning if itâ€s her, or why sheâ€s there. (The answer: yes, itâ€s her, and sheâ€s allowed to be a pro wrestling fan just like everyone else…)

Addams confirmed she was in town for the event, posting a photo of herself on the entrance ramp on Twitter. She shared more photos of her Wrestlepalooza weekend on her Instagram page. This includes photos of herself meeting Tiffany Stratton, Drew McIntyre and IYO SKY, along with the same photo with Sane.
According to her IMDB profile, Addams has not acted in any adult films since 2021â€s “Filthy Moms 7.†However, you can still follow her recent work on her YouTube channel and respective social media accounts like TikTok.

WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer became the promotion’s first Chilean-born world champion at Wrestlepalooza 2025, adding the belt to a collection that already includes the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s North American Championship. However, the build up to her Wrestlepalooza clash with IYO SKY seemed off; according to Paul “Triple H” Levesque, there was a valid reason for her absence.
“She absolutely does have it all,” Levesque said after being told how much of an impact Vaquer has with the fans during the Wrestlepalooza Post Show. “I’ll let everybody in on a behind-the-scenes secret to Stephanie: in the last few weeks, Stephanie has been very sick.” Levesque explained that Vaquer had been suffering form a flu-type disease, which led to her missing several television dates. “It was why there was some odd build to it and she was able to feel well enough and get cleared medically tonight,” he added.
Levesque then praised Vaquer for being able to perform at the level she did at Wrestlepalooza against SKY and capture the Women’s World Championship. “She’s been here for a very short time, so as we move forward now, she becomes a dominant force,” he noted. “The landscape of WWE and the Women’s Division just changed with Stephanie Vaquer becoming the Women’s Champion.”

WWE fans were shocked when Brock Lesnar steamrolled John Cena in the opening match of WrestlePalooza, but according to a new report, that wasnâ€t the original plan.
A new update from BodySlam.net revealed that Cena was actually booked to win the match—until the decision was abruptly changed. As of Saturday morning, just hours before the show, Cena was still supposed to defeat Lesnar in whatâ€s being called one of his last retirement bouts.
The match had already raised eyebrows when it was moved to open the event, despite originally being scheduled to close the show. Many assumed Lesnarâ€s usual preference to leave early was the reason, but Fightful Select reported otherwise. According to them, ESPN wanted a “big title match†like Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre to close the night instead.
Fightful added that “it was not changed because Brock wanted to fly out early. Itâ€s because of the creative, but ESPN had wanted Cody and Drew McIntyre for the pomp and circumstance surrounding a world title match.â€
Lesnarâ€s performance was brief but brutal. He landed multiple F-5s and left Cena motionless, dominating the 17-time world champion in minutes. What was originally pegged as a heartfelt farewell match for Cena instead became another crushing Lesnar moment—though now it looks like that wasnâ€t supposed to happen at all.
The match kicked off a packed card, followed by The Vision vs. The Usos, Stephanie Vaquer defeating Iyo Sky for the Womenâ€s World Title, and the mixed tag match with CM Punk & AJ Lee battling Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch. The night closed with Cody Rhodes retaining against Drew McIntyre in a title clash that ESPN reportedly pushed to headline.
This last-minute Cena–Lesnar switch raises a lot of questions about how flexible WWE booking still is, even for icons like Cena.
What do you think about WWE flipping the result on Cena and Lesnar at the last minute? Should Cena have gone out with a win? Let us know in the comments.

Jey Uso suffered from a nasty cut at WWE WrestlePalooza.
The show featured a tag team match between The Usos and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision. The match took an unfortunate turn when Jey Uso got injured, forcing it to end quickly. The injury happened when Jey Uso hit Breakker with a chair.
The chair bounced off Breakkerâ€s back and struck Jey in the head, leaving him busted open. Fans also spotted special referee LA Knight instruct Breakker to give Jey a spear to finish the match. Following the match, medical staff rushed in with a towel to attend to Jey Usoâ€s head, which had been busted open.
Reports from Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer confirm that Jey was placed in WWEâ€s concussion protocol after the match, a standard precaution for injuries like this. He said, “Jey busted himself open. He hit Bron with the chair, and it bounced off Bronâ€s back and split him six ways from Sunday. Heâ€s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.†[H/T: WrestlePurists]
Despite reports that Jey Uso is in concussion protocol, he reassured fans with an update on his Instagram story, posting a picture of himself backstage with the caption, “Iâ€m good.â€

Jonathan Coachman didnâ€t hold back after realizing WWE left him out of their WrestlePalooza tribute video—and he took his frustration straight to Triple H.
WWE kicked off its new era with ESPN at WrestlePalooza by airing a slick opening video narrated by Triple H. The package celebrated the crossover legacy between WWE and ESPN. But one major name was noticeably absent: Coachman, who helped bridge that exact relationship during his time with the company.
Coachman voiced his disappointment in a direct post on Twitter/X, making it clear he felt disrespected by the omission.
“The fact that me and my team didnâ€t make this package hurts us a little. We took Sportscenter to multiple Manias. We did Tuesday interviews from Smackdown for over 2 years.â€
He then took a jab at WWE for including anchors with no real wrestling background instead of those who actually put in the work.
“But at least anchors that donâ€t know anything about wrestling made it. Thank you TRIPS. LOL. To my 5 guys who rolled with me we know.â€
Coachmanâ€s frustration isnâ€t coming out of nowhere. Heâ€s been vocal for years about how WWE has treated him, and heâ€s already gone on record confirming he has no plans to return to the company ever again.
Whether this was an oversight or something more personal, Coachmanâ€s absence from the tribute video only added to the perception that WWEâ€s relationship with former talent isnâ€t always smooth—especially when the politics behind the scenes start showing.
Do you think WWE intentionally left Jonathan Coachman out of the video? Should Triple H have acknowledged his contributions to the ESPN partnership? Drop your thoughts below.
What do you think—was Jonathan Coachman unfairly snubbed by WWE and Triple H? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.

A former WWE talent has voiced his displeasure after being ignored for Wrestlepalooza.
WWE’s foray into the world of ESPN began with Wrestlepalooza, their first PLE. The show started with a video package highlighting the importance of both companies in their respective domains. The package was narrated by Triple H, and with him being the Chief Content Officer, it was probably his idea too.
However, the entire scenario has not sat well with former WWE talent Johnathan Coachman.
Johnathan Coachman was an instrumental part of WWE coverage, especially as a backstage correspondent and interviewer. He later had commentary duties and was an important part of WWE growing up. Coach then moved on to ESPN and brought a lot of attention to the product there as well. However, he was neither featured nor mentioned in the video package, much to his disappointment.
Taking to X/Twitter, the former talent called out the company and Triple H and spoke his heart out, stating that not getting mentioned at Wrestlepalooza hurt him a little.
The fact that me and my team didnâ€t make this package hurts us a little. We took Sportscenter to multiple Manias. We did Tuesday interviews from Smackdown for over 2 years. But at least anchors that donâ€t know anything about wrestling made it. Thank you TRIPS. LOL. To my 5 guys who rolled with me we know,” he wrote.
