While John Cena was still in the midst of his heel run earlier this year, R-Truth had the opportunity to wrestle the 17-time World Champion on two separate occasions, first at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and then again on “WWE SmackDown.” R-Truth first competed against the 48-year-old portraying his “Ron Cena” alter-ego, as he cosplayed the future WWE Hall Of Famer by wearing his iconic red shirt and jean jorts. However, the second encounter between both men was more serious, with R-Truth wrestling Cena under his Ron Killings persona after being controversially released from WWE over the summer. Now that Cena’s nearing the end of his retirement tour, R-Truth commented on having the privilege to wrestle his long-time colleague twice this year in a recent interview with “CBS Sports.”Â
“I’m tickled pink, dog. I love it,” Truth said. “It’s a humbling thing. I feel honored. I feel appreciated. I feel like a lot of fans know the history we’ve had. People have paid attention. There are so many things that go around with that. It’s hard to pick one good emotion out of it.”
Over the last couple of months, R-Truth has returned to his less serious comedic character, though he hasn’t been featured in a televised match since last July. As for Cena, the final chapter of his farewell tour remains uncertain with his next appearance scheduled for November 10, though its been rumored that his last WWE match will be against former World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
Stevie Turner is excited to get back in the ring now that her tenure with WWE has come to an end. On X, Turner shared her excitement.
Canâ€t believe Iâ€m gonna get to wrestle again ??
— STEVIE TURNER (@StevieTurnerWWE) October 11, 2025
Turner had just 52 matches during her tenure with WWE, a run that began upon her signing in March 2021. Her post hints at frustrations over feeling underutilized as an in-ring talent within the promotion. Turner’s most recent match was in February 2025, where she was on the losing end of a tag-team match at an NXT live event.
In March 2025, Turner was announced as the General Manager of Evolve, though the English performer later dubbed herself as Evolve’s Prime Minister. This role would have seemingly ended Turner’s in-ring career with WWE, in favor of being an on-screen authority figure.
Before WWE, Turner wrestled on the UK independent scene as Bobbi Tyler and became a six-time champion across various promotions. She also wrestled for STARDOM, where she was part of the Tokyo Cyber Squad.
Now, Turner/Tyler is ready to re-establish herself as an in-ring threat. Her post shares how being in WWE isn’t always fulfilling for those who want to wrestle.

After climbing Mount Everest earlier this year, AEW star Darby Allin continues to broaden his horizons in new ways. The wrestler is set to take part in an exhibition alongside Raymond Pettibon, the award-winning artist who designed the Black Flag logo among many other projects, and AEW Special Projects Manager Charlie Ramone.
The exhibition, which is titled HARDWAY, will run from September 26 through October 11 at the 52 Walker art gallery in New York City. Featuring works of art from Pettibon inspired by his love of pro wrestling, Allin’s participation will consist of him wrestling live at the venue on October 3 and 10. There will be additional matches as well as live music on both of those nights, curated by Allin, and the exhibition will include drawings and wrestling props created by Ramone.
It hasn’t been announced who Allin will wrestle at either of the exhibition dates, or what other wrestlers might take part. However, it was indicated that they’ll be “up-and-coming figures” from the industry.
According to the press release, HARDWAY will explore the intersection of performative and genuine violence, and it will “scrutinize and satirize American myths of masculinity, power, and spectacle.” Pettibon’s work is described as bringing wrestling’s homoerotic subtext to the surface, while Ramone’s drawings are in tribute to the industry’s connection with the punk rock and metal subcultures.
It was also noted that Allin is currently working to construct a skate park in McDonough, Georgia, where he grew up. In the short-term, though, Allin first has to wrestle on next week’s “AEW Dynamite,” where he’ll team with Kris Statlander against Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir of the Death Riders. Then, Allin will face Jon Moxley in an I Quit match at AEW WrestleDream on October 18.

WWE legend The Undertaker has remembered pitching a match with fellow Hall of Famer Kurt Angle at WrestleMania, which ultimately did not happen.
“The Deadman” and Angle had a rivalry that spanned several years, beginning in the Attitude Era, but the duo never got to have a WrestleMania match against each other. They discussed that and several other topics during Angle’s appearance on The Undertaker’s “Six Feet Under” podcast, where the latter first talked about the Streak and how it should have never been broken.
“No, I didn’t want anybody to break that [the Streak]. Hell no,” said Undertaker.
Angle interjected and said that they wanted to wrestle each other at ‘Mania, to which ‘Taker added that he was interested in having that match at “The Show of Shows,” but was keen to keep intact his streak. “We wanted to wrestle at ‘Mania, but I didn’t want anybody to break the Streak,” Undertaker added.
The Olympic gold medalist then echoed what many — including The Undertaker — have stated over the years: that the Streak should have remained undefeated. He also revealed that they pitched the WrestleMania match idea to McMahon, but the former WWE Chairman rejected it and proposed something else.
“I don’t think the Streak should have been broken. We presented to Vince and Vince said, ‘No, you’re going to wrestle a month before, that’s what he said.'”
Going by The Undertaker’s reaction, it seems that he, too, was displeased that the match between him and Angle didn’t happen at WrestleMania. The match that they are referring to could be their No Way Out bout in 2006, which was the pay-per-view before WrestleMania.
Angle has previously claimed that there was talk that he could end the Streak at WrestleMania in 2006, and ‘Taker’s subsequent loss to Brock Lesnar at ‘Mania is a decision that he doesn’t agree with, as he thought the record should have stayed intact forever.Â
