The NXT Deadline 2025 was a WWE livestreaming event for the NXT brand, along with wrestlers from TNA and AAA. It was held on December 6, 2025, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. This was the fourth Deadline event and the first one shown on Netflix for international viewers.
The show focused on the Iron Survivor Challenge matches for men and women. Each match lasted 25 minutes and featured five wrestlers trying to score the most falls. This event also featured Joe Hendryâ€s first in-ring match as a full-time WWE wrestler after coming from TNA.
There were five matches on the card. Jeâ€Von Evans won the menâ€s Iron Survivor Challenge in the main event. Kendal Grey won the womenâ€s Iron Survivor Challenge. Oba Femi defeated Ricky Saints in the opening match to become the new NXT Champion. The show also included the return of Tony Dâ€Angelo.
WWE NXT Deadline 2025 Highlights
Oba Femi vs Ricky Saints
Ricky Saints opened the show by defending the NXT Championship against Oba Femi. The fight spilled outside when Saints pulled the top rope down, sending Femi out of the ring. Saints then hit a DDT on the steel steps after Femi ran into the ring post.
Back in the ring, Femi blocked Saints†lifting attempt and turned it into a jackknife powerbomb for a two-count. Saints charged again, but Femi caught him and finished the match with the Fall From Grace.
With the win, Femi became a two-time NXT Champion and earned a Champion vs. Champion match against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event on December 13.
Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge
Kelani Jordan and Kendal Grey started the match with fast counters and near falls. Grey got the first fall after catching Kelani with a powerslam. Jordynne Grace entered next and used her power to control both women. Kelani later rolled up Grey to score her first fall, making it 1–1.
Lola Vice entered and quickly pinned Grey with a spinning kick. Grey answered back by pinning Grace, taking the lead with two falls. The match became chaotic, with all four women trading big moves. Grace powered through Kelani to score her first fall.
Sol Ruca entered last but was attacked before reaching the ring. When she returned, she hit Sol Snatcher twice and scored two quick falls to tie Grey at the top. Grace added another fall, Lola scored one more, and Kelani tied the scores with her second.
In the closing seconds, chaos broke out as the timer ran down. Grey capitalized on an opening, hit Shades of Grey on Lola, and secured her third fall.
Winner: Kendal Grey (3 Falls)
Ethan Page vs Mr. Iguana
Ethan Page started strong with power moves, but Mr. Iguana used speed, arm drags, and dropkicks to surprise him. Iguana kept using his puppet to distract Page and nearly stole a few pins. Page got angry and threw Iguanaâ€s puppet away, which fired Iguana up. Iguana hit a tornado DDT, a super rana, and a big dive outside. He followed with a flying headbutt for a close two-count. When Iguana went up top again, Page stopped him, slammed him off the ropes, and hit Twisted Grin to win.
Izzi Dame vs Tatum Paxley
Izzi tried to attack Tatum from behind, but Tatum caught her and started strong with forearms and a flip leg drop. Izzi pretended to beg for mercy outside the ring, then tricked Tatum with a fake hug and slammed her into the steps.
They fought on the top rope, and Izzi caught Tatum with a dropkick, followed by a neckbreaker. Tatum answered with a superkick, a crucifix bomb, and a suicide dive. Tatum placed Izzi on the announce table and hit Cemetery Drive through it. When Tatum tried to get back in the ring, Shawn Spears distracted her with dolls. Izzi used the opening, kicked her, and hit a sit-down powerbomb for the win.
Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge
Leon Slater and Jeâ€Von Evans started the match fast, trading cutters, kicks, and rollups. Evans scored the first fall with a rana. Myles Borne entered next and attacked both men with uppercuts, suplexes, and an Olympic Slam. Leon and Evans teamed up at moments, but Myles kept breaking up pins.
Dion Lennox entered third and powered through everyone. He hit an Island Driver on Evans to tie the score. Myles answered with big suplexes and a sleeper, while Leon used fast kicks and springboard attacks. Evans kept landing clotheslines, dives, and a frog splash.
Joe Hendry entered last and immediately took control, dropping everyone with clotheslines and fallaway slams. He pinned Myles with an uranage. All five men then traded rollups, kicks, and near falls. Leon scored a fall with a Swanton 450. Myles hit Borne Again to earn his first fall as the clock ticked down.
In the final minutes, Dion trapped Evans in the penalty box, Joe hit Standing Ovation, and Leon hit another Swanton. Evans caught Myles off guard with an inside cradle when he attempted another pin.
Winner: Jeâ€Von Evans

The Vancouver Canuck snapped their four-game losing streak on Saturday with a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild. Tom Willander scored his first career goal while defenceman Elias Pettersson also found the back of the net. As for the other two goals, they were scored by Aatu Räty while Nikita Tolopilo was solid, stopping 28 of the 30 shots he faced.
Starting with Tolopilo, he was one of the main reasons why the Canucks were able to skate away with a victory. He stopped nine of the 10 shots he faced in the first, including a massive stop on a breakaway against Kirill Kaprizov. Tolopilo also stepped up in the third, turning aside 13 of the 14 shots the Wild directed his way.

The other star for Vancouver on Saturday was Räty. Not only did he record three points, but he also went 14 for 16 in the faceoff. Post-game, Räty spoke to the media about the win.
“It means a lot,” said Räty. “We talk about it. I think we played better than the scoreboard has shown in the last few games. It’s a game of wins, and we got one today. So that’s great.”
As for a special moment, that came in the second period when Willander beat Jesper Wallstedt for his first career goal. The 21-year-old also added an assist during his 13:18 of ice time. Post-game, Quinn Hughes spoke about Willander and even reminisced about his own first goal in the NHL.
“he’s a really good player,” said Hughes. “Steady. You know, the more and more he plays, he gets 80, 100, 140 games in the league. He’s going to continue to develop and get better and better, more confident. Just seeing more reps in different situations. Obviously, I remember scoring my first goal and how excited I was, so I’m sure he’s feeling that right now, and probably nice to get off his back too.”

The biggest storyline from this game, however, happened pre-game as center Elias Pettersson departed warm-ups early and did not play. As per Head Coach Adam Foote, Pettersson is dealing with an upper-body injury and will be getting an MRI on Sunday. More information should be available on Pettersson when the team hits the ice for Morning Skate on Monday.
The best word to describe the Canucks performance on Saturday was gutsy. They didn’t back down from the Wild and were able to get some standout performances from their younger players. Ultimately, Lady Luck was in Vancouver’s corner as they sent the fans at Rogers Arena home happy for the first time since November 8.

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Troy Terry and Mason McTavish scored in the shootout, and the Anaheim Ducks snapped the Washington Capitals’ six-game winning streak with a 4-3 victory Friday night.
Beckett Sennecke took the NHLâ€s rookie scoring lead with a goal and an assist for the Pacific Division-leading Ducks, who rebounded from a 7-0 loss to Utah on Wednesday with a much-improved effort. Cutter Gauthier scored his 16th goal and Ross Johnston had a goal and an assist for Anaheim.
Logan Thompson made 34 saves in a standout performance for the Caps, who took a point from every stop on their three-game California road swing despite losing for only the second time in 11 games. Tom Wilson, Ethen Frank and Aliaksei Protas scored in regulation for the Caps, and Anthony Beauvillier tallied in the shootout.
Ville Husso made 18 saves and gloved Frank’s shootout try to end it.
After Wilson scored his 17th goal from the slot midway through the first period, Gauthier tied it off a clever setup from Sennecke.
Frank scored on a rebound early in the second period. Johnston tied it 13 seconds later with a redirection of Radko Gudas’ slap shot for the fourth-line grinder’s second goal, but Protas scored on a fat rebound moments later.
Sennecke tied it again late in the second with a deflected shot for his eighth goal and his 22nd point, both tops among rookies.
Washington rookie Ryan Leonard didn’t return after his face was bloodied on an unpenalized first-period check from Jacob Trouba.
Mikael Granlund returned after missing 18 of the Ducks’ previous 19 games due to a lower-body injury.
With Charlie Lindgren injured, Washington’s backup goalie was Parker Milner, a 35-year-old retired minor-league goalie who occasionally practices with the Caps — and who coincidentally came along on the road trip.
Milner, a minor-league teammate of Thompson, is now the food editor at The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina. Before warmups, the Caps gave Milner the traditional solo lap for players making their NHL debuts.
Capitals: Host Columbus on Sunday.
Ducks: Host Chicago on Sunday.
AJ Lee reacts to her Survivor Series win.
On social media, Lee posted a picture of her team standing tall following their victory on Saturday. Leeâ€s message was short, but to the point, comparing them to a famous superhero alliance.
“Tell your kids these were the avengers,†she wrote.
Lee teamed with Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY to defeat Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and the Kabuki Warriors at Survivor Series. Lee scored the victory for her team, submitting Lynch with the Black Widow octopus hold.
The two have been feuding since Lee made her return to WWE earlier this year, teaming with husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Lynch in a mixed tag team match at the Wrestlepalooza PLE. Earlier this month on Raw, Lee made her return and distracted Lynch, causing her to lose the Womenâ€s Intercontinental Championship to Maxxine Dupri. Soon after, Lee joined the Women’s Survior Series WarGames team while Lynch retaliated by blindsiding Lee and aligning with Asuka’s team.
In the main event of Survivor Series, The Vision, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar defeated Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos in the menâ€s WarGames match, with Bron Breakker pinning CM Punk after a spear. The show ended with Cody having strong words for Reigns, teasing a future match between the two.

WarGames was a WWE Premium Live Event and livestreaming event held on November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California. It was the 39th Survivor Series and featured wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown. This edition continued the WarGames format, which uses a roofless steel cage built around two rings set side by side.
The show had four matches, including two WarGames matches. The main event was the menâ€s WarGames match, where Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) faced the team of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso). The event opened with the womenâ€s WarGames match, where the team of AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley faced the team of Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). During this show, we also saw the long-awaited return of Liv Morgan.
Survivor Series 2025: WarGames Highlights
Women’s War Games Match
The Women’s WarGames match opened the event. The teams were AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley against Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Asuka, and Kairi Sane of The Kabuki Warriors. The match did not use shark cages, and each wrestler entered one at a time. Charlotte Flair and Asuka began the match. Iyo Sky, Becky Lynch, and Alexa Bliss entered next. Kairi Sane gained control for a short time using a metal chain.
AJ Lee entered after climbing the cage, jumping down with a crossbody after Lynch tried to stop her. Nia Jax entered and overpowered several wrestlers until Rhea Ripley arrived with weapons and cleared the ring. Lash Legend came in last, officially starting the match. Asuka accidentally sprayed mist at Legend. Ripley and Flair then hit a double suplex on Jax, and Bliss followed with Twisted Bliss.
Iyo Sky attempted a senton from the top of the cage while inside a trash can. Lynch managed to avoid the move but was left alone in the ring. She was hit by Flair, Bliss, and Ripley before AJ Lee locked in the Black Widow, making Lynch submit and giving Leeâ€s team the win.
Dominik Mysterio vs John Cena by pinfall
John Cena defended the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio in what was billed as Cenaâ€s final match on a major event. Dominik came to the ring with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, while Cena received a long ovation from fans chanting “Thank you, Cena.â€
A referee accident gave Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh a chance to interfere, but Cena stopped them with a double Attitude Adjustment. Dominik then tried to use the title belt as a weapon, but Cena avoided it. Liv Morgan returned and hit Cena with a low blow.
Dominik took advantage by landing another 619 and a final frog splash. He pinned Cena and won the Intercontinental Championship for the second time.
Stephanie Vaquer vs Nikki Bella by pinfall
Stephanie Vaquer defended the Womenâ€s World Championship against Nikki Bella in the third match. Vaquer took control early after blocking an attempted cheap shot from Bella at the start. Bella gained momentum when Vaquer missed a knee drop on the apron, keeping the advantage for a while.
Vaquer turned the match around again by hitting a knee drop on the apron. She then delivered the Devilâ€s Kiss onto the reinforced announce table, which shifted the match fully in her favor. After bringing Bella back into the ring, Vaquer hit a second Devilâ€s Kiss and finished with a corkscrew splash. She pinned Bella and successfully retained the Womenâ€s World Championship.
Men’s War Games Match
At Survivor Series 2025, the menâ€s WarGames match ended in chaos after a mystery WWE star appeared. The match featured CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos on one side, facing Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed, who were joined by Paul Heyman. Breakkerâ€s team won the match by pinfall.
The turning point came when an unidentified man dressed in all black climbed the cage. He had his face covered and entered the ring. He hit a superkick and a curb stomp on CM Punk. This created confusion because Rollins recently had shoulder surgery.
The mystery man left the cage right after the attack. Bron Breakker then hit a spear on CM Punk, which led to the winning pinfall. There has been talk that the mystery man could be joining The Vision. Possible names include Austin Theory, Tony Dâ€Angelo, Ricky Saints or Ethan Page, though nothing is confirmed.
After the match, Punk, Rhodes, and Reigns had a tense moment. Reigns told Rhodes that “This is the last time weâ€re ever teaming. Just know that.â€

Barcelona’s Dani Olmo, back, celebrates after scoring (AP Photo/Joan Monfort) Barcelona secured a 3-1 victory against Alaves in La Liga, with Dani Olmo scoring twice to temporarily place the team at the top of the standings. The match began with a surprising development as Pablo Ibanez gave Alaves an early lead in the first minute. Barcelona quickly responded through young talent Lamine Yamal, who scored from Raphinha’s assist.Olmo put Barcelona ahead in the middle of the first half and secured the win with a late goal at their partially reconstructed Camp Nou stadium.Barcelona now leads Real Madrid by two points, with Real Madrid scheduled to face Girona on Sunday.Following their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League, Barcelona managed to secure their fourth consecutive league win during their 126th anniversary celebrations.”They caught us a bit by surprise in the first minute, but the team came back well from that situation, keeping our idea (of how to play), we got the first, then the second, we dominated and got the win,” Olmo told DAZN.”It’s a dream come true to be able to play here, to score and help the team to win.”The team played without Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong, while Jules Kounde was benched after his own goal at Stamford Bridge.Raphinha returned to the starting lineup for the first time since his injury, and Marc Bernal made his first start since August 2024 after recovering from knee surgery.Alaves proved to be more challenging opponents compared to Athletic Bilbao, whom Barcelona defeated 4-0 in their previous home match.Ibanez capitalized on Marc Casado’s failed corner clearance and Victor Parada’s assist to score the opening goal.Barcelona equalized when Yamal scored from Raphinha’s cross, which Olmo missed initially.Joan Garcia made an impressive save to prevent Calebe from scoring, before Olmo gave Barcelona the lead with assistance from Raphinha.Yamal nearly increased Barcelona’s advantage but hit the post after getting past Antonio Sivera. Lucas Boye almost scored for Alaves before halftime. The return of Pedri Gonzalez as a substitute in the second half was warmly welcomed by the 45,000 spectators in the three operational stands. Both Yamal and Olmo had near misses as Barcelona sought to extend their lead. Pau Cubarsi made a crucial block to deny Boye’s attempt to equalize.Olmo finally scored Barcelona’s third goal in stoppage time, assisted by Yamal.”We couldn’t keep our lead but after that we had our chances,” Alaves defender Jonny Otto told DAZN. “It’s not easy to make Barca end up asking for the final whistle.”
DENVER — On the eve of Thanksgiving, Ross Colton served up the first course himself — snapping a shot past San Jose Sharks netminder Yaroslav Askarov and giving Colorado Avalanche fans something to savor before the holiday feast.
From that point on, Colorado did what it has done most of the season — laid down a country-style butter whipping. Nathan MacKinnon added a late first-period power-play goal to stretch the lead to 2–0, and the Avalanche blew the game wide open in the second. Colorado struck three times in a blistering 76-second span — Sam Malinski at 3:44, Josh Manson at 4:51, and then Joel Kiviranta, who buried one in his first game back from injury just nine seconds later — pushing the advantage to 5–0 and effectively ending the night for San Jose, who wound up taking a 6-0 loss.
And the Avalanche (17-1-5) arenâ€t just lighting it up offensively; theyâ€re smothering teams defensively, and the numbers make that abundantly clear. Colorado has stacked three consecutive shutouts, a feat the franchise hasnâ€t achieved in more than 24 years. Two of those have come from Mackenzie Blackwood, who turned aside 26 shots last night and posted a 35-save, 3-0 win over Nashville on Nov. 22. Scott Wedgewood, who opened the season as the starter while Blackwood recovered from lower-body surgery, is playing the best hockey of his career. He leads the NHL in wins (13) and was recently named to Team Canadaâ€s Olympic long list.
The entire team is firing on all cylinders, from goal scorers to shot blockers to goaltenders making pivotal saves. At this point last season, it was a different story. Players were finding the back of the net, but like a fighter leaving gaps in their guard, the team was absorbing too many hits and surrendering far too many chances. While no game this season has been flawless, rather than searching for every way to lose, this Avalanche squad is discovering countless ways to win, with everyone contributing to the effort.
The Hockey News spoke with Colton following Wednesdayâ€s night win to comment on Coloradoâ€s much-improved defensive structure.
“I think weâ€re playing well. I think obviously weâ€re getting amazing goaltending with that tandem back there, so they give us all the confidence in the world to play our game in front of them on a nightly basis, which is awesome,†Colton said. “The whole season has has kind of what weâ€ve been preaching, letâ€s play well in the d zone, limit turnovers, because we know we got the horses in here that are going to produce some offense for us.â€
The Avalanche right now are like a finely tuned race car. Every gear is operating at full capacity, and no matter the course, theyâ€re ready for the challenge. In hockey terms, that translates to depth. Consider this: Colorado has scored 94 goals this season, and their top three scorers — Nathan MacKinnon, Martin Necas, and Cale Makar — have combined for 40 of those goals, roughly 42 percent of the total. Thatâ€s a healthy balance. If a teamâ€s premier players are producing more than half of its goals, concerns about being top-heavy start to emerge. While the Avalanche certainly boast a trio of generational talents, they are not carrying the team alone; their contributions are significant but proportionate, thanks to the remarkable depth across the roster.
Players like Ross Colton are a key part of that depth. The 29-year-old has tallied three goals in his last five games, including strikes in consecutive contests. He is riding a hot streak alongside the rest of the team, which has won 10 straight, yet Colton continues to approach each game with a business-as-usual mindset.
“We do a great job managing the bodies, managing the time on and off the ice. Weâ€ll do some video, study what we can change, and then turn the page here. We got a big back-to-back coming up here.â€

The Avalanche will face the Minnesota Wild (13-7-4) on Friday at Grand Casino Arena at 1:30 p.m. local time, before quickly flying back to Denver to take on the Montreal Canadiens (12-7-3) on Saturday with a 1 p.m. start.

The Ottawa Senators generally come up snake eyes in Vegas, but the house doesn’t always win.
The Senators entered the game on Wednesday night with a 1-12-1 record against Vegas but finally conquered the Knights, 4-3. It figures that Shane Pinto would come up big in Vegas. He scored once and also had the only goal in the shootout.
Jake Sanderson led the Senators offence with a goal and two assists, Claude Giroux and Tim Stutzle each had two assists, and Linus Ullmark made 32 saves, including a few beauties in the third period and in the shootout.
The Senators opened the scoring just 51 seconds into the game. Shane Pintoâ€s harmless-looking, bad-angle wrist shot from the bottom of the circle somehow leaked through Vegas goalie Akira Schmid, a terrible goal by anyoneâ€s measure. Pintoâ€s 11th goal of the season, tying him with Tim Stützle for the club lead, gave the Sens a 1–0 lead.
Jake Sanderson added to Ottawaâ€s lead on the power play just over 13 minutes into the game. Claude Giroux, standing at the top of the left circle, got it back to Sanderson at the top of the umbrella, and he one-timed a slap shot off the post and in past a screened Schmid.
With just over 3 minutes remaining in the first, Mitch Marner took a long stretch pass from Shea Theodore and dropped it for Brett Howden.
But the Senators restored their two-goal lead with just 17 seconds left in the period. Tim Stützle sprinted past everyone down the left wing and centered to Drake Batherson, who one-timed a snapshot past Schmid to make it 3–1 after one.
Just over 2 minutes into the second, Jack Eichel cut the lead to 3–2. Down at the goal line, Eichel found a loose puck and crammed in a backhand.
That score held up until the third, when former Senator Mark Stone tied it with a fluky power-play goal. Stoneâ€s centering pass to the front of the net bounced off Stützleâ€s skate and in.
That power play was set up by a controversial high sticking call, as it appeared Eichel skated right into it. It was the second such penalty of the game, the first coming earlier in the period with Giroux down on the ice and getting called for tripping when Eichel skated over top of him and fell.
The Senators held on in a one-sided third period, getting outshot 11-5, but still clinching a point on the road.
This was the ninth overtime game this season for Vegas, which has only won one of those games. Ivan Barbashev had the best chance of ending the game in OT, charging in alone on Ullmark and ringing one off the post.
Shane Pinto had the only goal of the shootout for the Senators, who improved to 12-7-4 on the season. Their next game is on Friday at St Louis, where Brady Tkachuk is slated to return to the lineup.

Wales and Great Britainâ€s Anna Hursey made a winning start to the doubles at the World Youth Championships in Romania, but Englandâ€s Kacper Piwowar was unable to replicate her success.
Hursey, playing the Under-19 Mixed Doubles alongside Iulian Chirita of Romania, had a tough draw against Wen Ruibo & Zong Geman in the first round.
When they lost the first two games 11-9 and 12-10, it was a long way back, notwithstanding the close scorelines. So when the Europeans romped into a 10-1 lead in the third, it was something of a surprise.
They went on to win that 11-4 and levelled up with an 11-9 margin in Game 4 – they were two points from going out but won five in a row from 9-6 down. With belief now flowing, they pulled away from 4-4 in the deciding to take it 11-8.
They then faced the third seeds, Steven Moreno & Edmarie Leon of Puerto Rico, in the last 16 and won it in three straight, albeit in close games once again.
The first was 11-9 – the won two points from 9-9, and the second 13-11 as they took their fourth game point. They then won the third 11-9, again from 9-9.
In the quarter-finals, they will face Flavien Coton & Leana Hochart of France.
Piwowar was partnering Mariia Lytvyn in the Under-15 Mixed and the pair had an opening at 9-8 up in the first against higher-ranked Ritvik Gupta & Ananya Muralidharan of India in the round of 32.
But that was as good as it got as their opponents won three points in a row to take the first and went on to complete a 3-0 (9, 5, 5) victory.
Piwowar & Mark Gergely begin their campaign in the U15 Boys†Doubles on Wednesday, against second seeds Zhou Ghuanhong & Yu Haiyang of China.
Hursey & Mia Griesel of Germany will face Sally Moyland (USA) & Kheith Cruz (PHI) in the first round of the U19 Girls†Doubles.
The singles gets under way on Thursday, with Piwowar up against third seed Danilo Faso of Italy and Hursey – top seed in the U19s – facing Czechiaâ€s Veronika Polakova.
Piwowar has a big task against Faso, who was the youngest player competing at the senior European Team Championships last month and who has shone in the team competition at this event, winning two matches at deuce in the fifth as Italy beat China in the semi-finals.

In recent years, the RSM Classic has served as a coming-out party for its winners. Talor Gooch earned his maiden Tour victory there in 2021 and went on to have a career year on LIV. Ludvig Aberg matched the feat in 2023 before his ascent to becoming a top-10 player. And Mav McNealy did the same last fall prior to producing a career-best season in 2025.
If that trend holds, Sami Valimaki has some good fortune ahead.
Valimaki, who hails from Finland, won the 2025 edition of the RSM Classic on Sunday, capping his one-stroke victory with a four-under 66 in the final round. The win is the first on the PGA Tour for the 27-year-old as he becomes the first-ever winner from his native country.
“That’s why the emotions come up,” Valimaki said. “I hope I can bring more golfers from Finland.”
Valimaki entered the day alone in the lead after rounds of 66, 62 and 65 over the first three rounds, and to earn his maiden victory, he needed to replicate that steady play. Luckily for him, he did just that. Over the course of the final 18 holes, Valimaki carded five birdies and just one bogey on his way to a four-under 66.
The win caps a magnificent last month of the fall season in which Valimaki finished T2 at the World Wide Technologies Championship along with another top-20 showing at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. With the win, Valimaki not only takes home a winner’s check worth $1.26 million but also secures himself a two-year exemption that will keep him on Tour through the 2027 season.
“It has been long road,” Valimaki said. “I feel like it’s a really tough year even when I kind of played decent golf, and then to keep pushing and find some good grooves in the last few tournaments, so it feels amazing.”
If he can replicate the success other RSM Classic winner’s enjoyed after their victories, the best is yet to come.
