Womenâ€s Premier champions Ellenborough will be favourites to make it four Premier Division titles in a row when the Veterans†British Clubs League returns this weekend.

The Enfield club (pictured above) has the same quartet who were on duty last season, when they won their first nine matches and only lost to Foresters in the final match once the title was already secured.

Sara Williams, Hurey Ahmetoglu, Sanja Clements and Tumay Ekrem will feel they can repeat that sort of performance and keep the trophy in their possession.

Foresters will look to go one better and have two top-five players in Gabriela Tankel and Kinga Oryl.

Bribar Deighton, TT Shop Liverpool, Market Rasen and Bribar Knighton Park complete the division, and all have top-10 representation when dummy ratings are taken into account.

By contrast to the womenâ€s top flight, the menâ€s Premier Division has had three different champions in the past three seasons.

The current holders are Topspin Fusion, who leapfrogged the previous winners Ormesby and Bribar Knighton Park on the second weekend, with No 1 ranked Lorestas Trumpauskas spearheading their campaign – as he does again this season.

Ormesby and Bribar Knighton Park – the 2023 winners under the guise of Team Bribar – are again strong and are led by Adam Fuzes and Jason Ramage respectively.

Every team has at least one top-10 player, once dummy ratings are factored in, with Global University Systems Horsham Spinners having three of them. Central and Ormeau Masters complete the line-up.

There is a total of 93 teams competing across 15 divisions at two venues – Derby Arena is the primary location, with Draycott & Long Eaton TTC once again a satellite venue for menâ€s Division Five. More than 400 players will feature.

Results, tables and averages will be updated on TT Leagues throughout the weekend.
