This current WWE stalwart hinted at a possible character transformation after going through a ‘therapy’ session.
Every once in a while, a gimmick change is a must in the Stamford-based promotion so that the superstars can further advance their careers and make things interesting for themselves. One example is Bayley, who’s having a “split-personality” gimmick while teaming up with Lyra Valkyria. In addition, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate did one of their own and are now going under the names of Rayo and Bravo as Los Americanos, alongside their leader, El Grande Americano (who’s being played by Ludwig Kaiser).
Another WWE Superstar is seemingly set to alter their identity, and that is Wendy Choo, who currently performs for Evolve and NXT. The 33-year-old was seen on the online streaming show this week as she lay therapeutically and was asked about who she is right now.
Choo revealed that she has been struggling despite trying to be unique, to the point that she’s losing herself.
I think for so long I just tried to stand out. I wanted to be different. Along that way, I lost my identity. I feel disassociated all the time. I feel disconnected from everyone – including myself,” she admitted.
You can check out her ‘therapy’ session below:
When questioned about the prospect of being understood, the NXT and Evolve star expressed uncertainty and said that she doesn’t know what the future holds for her as the vignette ended. Choo’s last match was from the WWE NXT Live house show on September 13, wherein Thea Hail defeated her. For the EVOLVE show, she scored a victory over Nikkita Lyons on the September 5 episode.
Wendy Choo’s ‘Therapy’ Session Didn’t Sit Well With THIS WWE Talent
Wendy Choo’s confession was a sign that she might change her identity to make a push for respectability in WWE. However, there’s one talent who didn’t find the star’s ‘therapy’ session interesting.
Chantel Monroe, a 25-year-old prospect, harshly said that she didn’t care about what Choo was doing.
Monroe added that she would slap some sense of reality into Choo and would make her go back into her Spirit Halloween gimmick. It will be interesting to see if the two stalwarts will cross paths in the future episodes of WWE Evolve.
