Kurt Angle has revealed the vital role Vince McMahon played in the development of his character in WWE and its success.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, WWE Hall of Famer and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle credited former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for creating his character and coming up with the Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence catchphrase.
“Heâ€s (Vince McMahon) the one that came up with intensity, integrity, and intelligence,†Kurt Angle stated. “Heâ€s the one that came up with my character. He wanted me to talk about my accomplishments and not brag, but try to be modest, while still bragging.â€
Kurt Angle further stated that he played the gimmick perfectly due to McMahonâ€s involvement and contributed to its success.
“Vince is the one who came up with it, and I played it perfectly, because he kept on with it and worked extremely well.†[H/T Wrestlingnews.co]
Kurt Angle Also Reacted To A Former UFC Champion Using His Theme Music
In the same interview, Kurt Angle also reacted to former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington using his iconic entrance music over the past few years.
Angle stated that he gave the nod when Colby Covingtonâ€s agent contacted him, asking for permission to use the music. He also agreed to Ariel Helwaniâ€s claim that when fans chanted “You Suck†during Covingtonâ€s entrances, they were actually saying it to him.
“Oh, listen, he called me out of nowhere. His agent called me and said, ‘Hey, we want to use your music, will it be okay?†I said, ‘Yeah, Colby, heâ€s an a** kicker man, go ahead, tell him to do it.â€â€ But youâ€re right, I think when the fans chant ‘You Suck,†theyâ€re really saying it to me.â€

A former WWE and AEW personality shared a series of disturbing social media posts while responding to fans.
Former AEW and WWE coach and producer, Sarah Stock, recently found herself in the news for her scathing comments about the Jon Moxley and Darby Allin match at WrestleDream. This led her to receiving a lot of backlash from fans, and in response, she doubled down on her stance with a series of absurd tweets and even name-dropped Vince McMahon.
Entire Saga of Former WWE & AEW Personality Sarah Stock’s Tweets Explained
The entire ordeal began when Sarah Stock got in a back-and-forth on X/Twitter with Brodie Lee’s wife, Amanda Huber.
Huber called Stock out on her hypocrisy for criticizing AEW, when she herself was involved in a violent segment during her time in TNA, where she choked out Velvet Sky with a belt.
While Sarah Stock did not respond to Huber’s tweet, she started responding to fans calling her out when one of them pointed out that Stock was acting like a killjoy and should not impose her opinion on everyone else. She replied by stating that the fans were being worked into believing the aforementioned match had wrestling psychology involved. She then quoted Vince McMahon’s ideology about the wrestling audience:
You all got worked. Your behavior is predictable. Each insulting, uneducated, ignorant reply spread the message that Attempted Murder in Wrestling is Dumb. & you all thought ‘psychology’ was about putting moves together. ‘# 1 rule of communication: know your audience.’ -VKM.”

In response to this, another fan expressed their disappointment in Stock, quoting McMahon and acting like a jealous ex as she was let go by AEW. Stock doubled down and defended the former WWE CEO, stating that he was nice to her and she did not experience anything he was currently being accused of.
She tweeted:
Ex of whom? Vince never r***d ME. He was cool af to me.”

When a fan sent a wild response to the tweet above, suggesting that Stock end her life, she doubled down on her defense of Mr. McMahon and said that was not something she thought was worth dying over.
She wrote:
You are more than welcome to request that I end my life because I’m not a p***y. Thankfully, I like myself, and I like my life, and I like Vince. It’s not that deep and certainly not worth dying over.”
When a fan advised her to delete the tweet about McMahon, she said that she was not a coward and that she would not apologize for her stance:
I sincerely apologize both for not being a coward and for having bigger ba**s than you. Wait…. I liiiied!”
I sincerely apologize both for not being a coward and for having bigger balls than you. Wait…. I liiiied! https://t.co/UhDxjkZDZF

Sarah Stock refused to back down on her opinion and defense of McMahon and continued her tirade.

Steph Curry finally might get what he has wanted during the 2025-26 NBA season.
The league’s new “Heave Rule” takes effect this season, which states that any shot taken at least 36 feet away within the final three seconds of the first three quarters will count as a team shot attempt — not an individual one.
The goal is to encourage players to take more long-distance, end-of-quarter shots without negatively impacting their personal shooting percentages. Curry, who has taken plenty of those types of shots over his career, has been on board.
“I used to be like the grumpy old guy sitting on the porch yelling at people who didnâ€t take that shot because they were afraid of what it does to their shooting percentage,” Curry said (h/t The San Francisco Standard’s Tim Kawakami).
Curry has no shortage of unimaginable half-court buzzer-beater shots, and now with the new rule, he might have some competition.
The rule states the play must have started in the backcourt for it to apply.
While Curry is a fan of the half-court heaves, he acknowledged that the technicalities of the new rule are a bit too complex for his liking.
“That’s too much to think about,” he said. “Just play basketball.”
In 1,026 career games through 16 seasons with Golden State, Curry has averaged 24.7 points on 47.1-percent shooting from the field and 42.3 percent from 3-point range.
It’s safe to say his shooting percentages haven’t been damaged by his many, many long treys.
“I could care less,” Curry said. “I get, what? 10 extra field goals maybe throughout a whole season.”
Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has led a captivating life, one full of highs and lows, both personally and professionally. Now, a movie about the WWE Hall of Famer’s life is in the works, but getting the production finished is proving easier said than done.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, ‘Diamond’ Dallas Page shared that writers have tried to turn Jake’s story into a screenplay. Despite their best efforts, none have been able to capture Roberts’ story and DDP’s connection to his friend.
“Weâ€ve had a couple of guys come in and try to write it… The writing was great, really great, but it didnâ€t quite capture what they wanted it to be.”
Roberts was the subject of The Resurrection of Jake the Snake, a 2015 documentary chronicling his battles with substances and the help he’s received from DDP. Speaking to Helwani, DDP acknowledged that getting a feature film project off the ground is easier said than done.
“It’s been going on for years. I don’t really talk about it because… hard hard it is to get something made, bro.”
Wrestling biopics have proven popular, including the critically acclaimed The Iron Claw from A24 that detailed the lives and tragedies of the Von Erich family. Mildred Burke’s life was the subject of Queen of The Ring, chronicling the life and career of one of pro-wrestling’s most influential women.
Whether this project ever sees the silver screen, time will tell. Nevertheless, Jake’s story of struggle and redemption shows the determination of the beloved WWE Hall of Famer.
Kota Ibushi suffered an injury during last weekâ€s AEW Collision tapings.
The accident happened in his match against Josh Alexander, when Alexander pushed him off the top rope. Ibushi fell from the turnbuckle to the floor outside the ring, causing injury to his leg. Officials immediately checked on him, and he was eventually stretchered to the back.
After the incident, AEW President Tony Khan expressed his gratitude for Ibushi, calling him one of the best wrestlers in the world and wishing him a smooth recovery. Kota Ibushi now have provided an update on his condition.
He confirmed the injury but reassured fans that he does not plan to end his career and revealed that Tony Khan sent him a letter and flowers to show his support. On his Instagram he wrote, “Again? Again? Iâ€ve only had serious injuries. This is a broken femur, and the broken bone is trying to break through the flesh. They told me to stop, but the surgery was completed successfully!! “(Unless I get another serious injury) I plan to live my life as a normal person from now on. Itâ€s been about five years of breaking, healing, and accidents but it didnâ€t end like this, right? “
“Above all, the best boss Tony Khan and my colleague as vice president Kenny Omega, Nakazawa-san, who helped me with so many things I canâ€t believe the president himself gave me a bouquet and a letter. After something like this, I canâ€t quit again. I cried. I donâ€t know if it will take a year or a year and a half, but Iâ€ll start by doing something. Right now, Iâ€m in so much pain that I can only move my toes. I was surprised that I still had a sense of pain. Mr. Tony Khan…I just have to keep tryinâ€

WWE NXT star Blake Monroe recently revealed that she never wanted to use ‘Mariah†as her in-ring name.
Before making her WWE debut, Blake was part of AEW, where she performed under the name Mariah May. This is also a name she used on the independent scene. After leaving AEW, she signed with WWE and debuted with a new name, Blake Monroe. However, the NXT star disclosed that she wishes she had never used her real name, ‘Mariahâ€, in professional wrestling.
In a conversation with Busted Open Radio, The Glamour shared that using her real name in the ring felt weird. For those who might not know, Blake Monroeâ€s real name is Mariah May Mead. Monroe reflected on her move from AEW to WWE despite her success in the former promotion.
“Yeah, I mean, I had a fantastic experience and I did things Iâ€m so proud of and cherish, and I did everything I needed to do. I feel like I told a great story. I feel like I made people feel something, and itâ€s time to close that chapter, and itâ€s time to start a new one, and like getting a new name and a whole new experience. There are so many women here. Like womenâ€s wrestling is very important in WWE. And thatâ€s something, as a woman, like, I want to be a part of. And just, like I said, all these different matches and possibilities, for me, it just was a great deal. And it was just a challenge. I want a challenge.â€
When asked about changing her name from Mariah to Blake Monroe and which one she preferred, the NXT star admitted that she found using her real name in the ring weird. She also shared that she also chose Blake because itâ€s a tribute to her niece, too.
“No, because if youâ€re familiar with my prior name, I feel like it was the end to a story, and I cherish that, and I feel like itâ€s kind of cool that she died, almost, and thatâ€s done. And also, I canâ€t turn back time, so I never really think about it, but Mariah was my real name, and I wish I never used it in wrestling. Because itâ€s weird. But I did it and I canâ€t change it. But just the chance to start something new. And I feel like, you know, with WWE, itâ€s like, hey, weâ€re going to make this new thing and weâ€re going to make it a megastar. And I feel like week by week we do that. And yeah, I love it. And itâ€s also a tribute to my niece.â€

If the Warriors are to reach their goals in the 2025-26 NBA season, Jonathan Kuminga figures to be a big reason why.
But, as Golden State coach Steve Kerr sees it, thereâ€s still a sizable hurdle for Kuminga to clear: playing effectively with Warriors stars Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler. And in Sundayâ€s 111-103 preseason win against the Los Angeles Lakers, Kerr wasnâ€t impressed.
“Well, there wasnâ€t much spacing, which is the big concern,†Kerr said of the Kuminga-Big Three lineup in his post-practice press conference Tuesday. “But weâ€ve got to continue to give them some looks.â€
Kuminga finished with five points in 15 minutes on Sunday, days after signing a two-year, $48.5 million contract to remain with Golden State after a prolonged restricted free agency. However, the Warriors†offense seemed to sputter when he shared the floor with the teamâ€s other stars.
“It still feels to me like if weâ€re trying to play Jimmy, JK [and] Draymond, just from the other night, immediately…the spacing was not great,†Kerr said. “And it puts pressure on our offense to really have to execute. But itâ€s early in camp, too.â€
Neither Kuminga, nor Green nor Butler, is considered to be a strong 3-point shooter, which limits how far the Warriors can stretch opposing defenses when they all are on the court. Kerr is hoping that the addition of center Al Horford will help solve that problem and let Kuminga find lineups to thrive in.
“I think Al kind of changes the equation here,†Kerr said. “Iâ€m really intrigued to put Al and JK together with Draymond or Jimmy. That lineup makes perfect sense.â€
Kerr added that the Warriors will continue to explore every option in an effort to unlock the 23-year-old Kuminga.
“If we can execute the stuff weâ€re trying to operate, then it can be effective,†Kerr said. “Itâ€s just not a smooth fit.â€
Now that heâ€s officially back in the fold, Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga is ready to build off his promising end to the 2024-25 NBA season.
Specifically, the 22-year-old hopes to refine the chemistry he cultivated with veteran star Jimmy Butler. Speaking to reporters during his media session on Thursday, Kuminga acknowledged the crucial experience he gained playing with Butler in Golden Stateâ€s Western Conference semifinal loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves last season.
“I think itâ€s very important that weâ€re here now, early, trying to figure each other out,†Kuminga said. “And I feel like we actually did [figure each other out] going through that series.â€
When Stephen Curry suffered an injury in Game 1 that ultimately ended his season, the Warriors called on Kuminga to help plug the gaping hole left in their offense. The Timberwolves prevailed in five games, but Kuminga led Golden State in series scoring and shot over 54 percent from the field, while Butler led the team in assists.
That duo figures to play a huge role in the Warriors†upcoming 2025-26 season, and Kuminga wants to do his part in helping his connection with Butler flourish even more.
“Itâ€s very easy and simple to play with Jimmy,†Kuminga said. “And we actually get to sit down more now. I get to go ask him certain questions. How does he like to play? What does he like? I feel like us having a lot of time together, me being healthy, him being healthy, him being here from day one training camp-wise…itâ€s going to help us figuring out certain things about each other going forward.â€
Dub Nation, the greatest shooter in NBA history will take the floor in the Warriors†2025-2026 NBA preseason opener.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, coach Steve Kerr revealed star guard Steph Curryâ€s minutes strategy during Golden Stateâ€s preseason opener on Oct. 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers at Chase Center.Â
To no surprise, Kerr and Co. will restrict Curryâ€s minutes, but the Chef will play, nonetheless.
“I talked to Steph today and Rick [Celebrini]. [Steph] is going to play 15 minutes probably,†Kerr told reporters on Friday.Â
Last season, Curry, with a massive scoring responsibility on his shoulders, recorded his 14th season with more than 32 minutes of average playing time.
Kerr also added that stars Jimmy Butler, who co-carried a substantial scoring load since being traded to the Warriors in February, and Draymond Green will also have their minutes limited.
“And the same plan will be there for Draymond and Jimmy, pending how they are feeling on Sunday,†Kerr added.
“We are going to scrimmage tomorrow as well. We will have to talk to the guys before the game Sunday, but 15 minutes sounds about right for that group, if they are playing.â€
With a key issue for the Warriors being surviving non-Curry minutes, it appears the best strategy is managing the Chefâ€s workload from the get-go.
