TRENDING RUMORS
– Mohamed Salah’spoor form has Liverpool considering a January move for Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, according to the iPaper. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United both scouted the Ghana winger during the last transfer window, but it’s the Reds that are firming as favorites to sign the in-form 25-year-old. The upcoming Africa Cup of Nations may play a big role in whether the mooted £75 million move is made; Salah will lead Egypt at the continental tournament but, with Ghana failing to qualify, Semenyo will be available to play club football throughout the fixture-heavy January period.
– Chelsea are prepared to make an £87m offer to FC Porto for striker Samu Agehowanext summer, according to Record. The Blues had been close to signing the Spain international from Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2024, but the move collapsed and he joined Porto instead. Samu scored 25 goals in his first season in Portugal, and has netted eight goals in nine games so far this term. The 21-year-old has a contract at the Estádio do Dragão until June 2029.
– Stuttgart have set their fee for Angelo Stiller at €50 million with Manchester United among the clubs who have expressed an interest in the midfielder but the 24-year-old’s valuation could still rise, according to Sky Sports Deutschland. While Stiller has a €40m release clause, the Bundesliga club can buy that out and make his transfer fee freely negotiable. Meanwhile, TEAMtalk reports that United are looking to January with their list of options featuring Sporting CP’s Morten Hjulmand, Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba, Borussia Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham and Porto’s Victor Froholdt. The Red Devils are optimistic that they can reunite coach Ruben Amorim with Hjulmand for £50m despite the 26-year-old’s £70m release clause, with this coming due to Sporting’s relationship with their former manager.

– Sky Sports Deutschland have offered an insight into the domino effect that could happen regarding free agent centre-backs in the summer. A final decision hasn’t been made on David Alaba‘s future but he is likely to leave Real Madrid, while the Saudi Pro League is watching the situation of his teammate Antonio Rüdiger with his future uncertain despite an offer having been tabled for a contract that runs until 2028. Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté could be the replacement if either of them leave, while Marc Guéhi could replace the Frenchman at Anfield but is also wanted by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Dayot Upamecano could also move despite Bayern wanting to extend his contract to 2030.
– Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is weighing up a January loan move with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Brentford all looking at the 20-year-old, according to TEAMtalk. Mainoo remains committed to the Red Devils, but the feeling is that he needs more minutes to aid both his development and ambitions to represent England at the FIFA World Cup. Man United’s lack of depth in midfield has raised questions about whether they will be willing to allow a loan move.
– Barcelona are monitoring Mallorca winger Jan Virgili and could look to re-sign him, as reported by Diario Sport. The 19-year-old left the Blaugrana for €3.5m this summer as he didn’t want to be part of a reserve team any longer, but Barca included a clause that would see them receive a percentage of the funds from his next move and another clause that would allow them to re-sign him. Virgili marked his return from the Under-20 World Cup by providing the assist for Vedat Muriqi‘s equaliser in Mallorca’s win against Sevilla.
EXPERT TAKE
ESPN’s Sam Tighe looks at how well Samu Agehowa would fit in at Chelsea:
In the summer of 2024, Samu looked all set for a move to Chelsea, following the conclusion of his gold medal-winning campaign with Spain in the Olympics, but the move fell through and João Félix joined instead.
That’s a series of events that the Blues have likely regretted ever since, as Samu has continued to blossom into one of Europe’s top young strikers at FC Porto — while Félix made minimal impact before being jettisoned to Saudi Arabia.
The Spain international is a powerhouse No. 9, able to bully defenders using his huge frame. Look back at his goals catalogue while on loan at Deportivo Alavés and you’ll see opponents literally bouncing off him and hitting the deck. He can back into centre-backs Romelu Lukaku-style, or hit the channels and stretch the pitch.
His time at Porto has given him useful experience of playing in a dominant team setup, as before all of his football had come for lesser sides who played more reactive football. This would aid a transition to a club like Chelsea, who are quickly developing a “type” that they like up front — Samu, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu are all battering ram centre-forwards.

After a quiet summer, Austin Theory seemed set to emerge in a big way this fall. Recent reports had Theory joining former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman as the newest member of The Vision, with Theory’s debut set to occur prior to Survivor Series: WarGames. But those plans have had doubts cast on them after last week, when Rollins was kicked out of The Vision and revealed to be out long-term with a shoulder injury.
For the moment, however, things still look good for Theory, though perhaps not as good as before. Taking to X this morning, Wrestlevotes reported that many voices within WWE were continuing to push for Theory to be involved with the promotion’s ongoing creative plan. It was also confirmed that discussions involving Theory joining The Vision had occurred, and that, regardless if he joined the group or not, Theory had plenty of “internal support” regarding a return in “a significant manner.” While this outlook still appears largely optimistic, and suggests Theory’s return is imminent, it must be noted that the idea of Theory joining The Vision appears to be far less definitive than it was in previous reports.
Sources indicate there are still voices within the company pushing to keep Austin Theory involved in creative plans, even after the recent shuffling caused by Seth Rollins’ injury.
The idea of Theory joining The Vision was at least discussed, and he still has internal support…
— WrestleVotes (@WrestleVotes) October 21, 2025
Theory has been absent from WWE since July 12, when he was defeated by El Grande Americano in an episode of “WWE Main Event.” A week later, Theory’s long-time partner Grayson Waller announced that Theory was injured and that their tag team had officially broken up. Though there was some speculation about Theory’s WWE future after he was removed from the internal roster, it was later confirmed that Theory was still with WWE, and had been moved to the injured section of the internal roster.
The New York Jets are 0-7 and, understandably, are fielding calls for one of their most talented players.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that teams have called about running back Breece Hall ahead of the November 4 trade deadline.
Hall has been one of the most promising young tailbacks in the league since arriving in 2022 but the team’s offense has failed him.
Through seven games in 2025, he has tallied 99 carries for 448 yards. He has added 19 receptions for 164 yards. He has been shut out of the end zone to this point in the season.
Despite his strongest start since that rookie season, which was cut short due to injury, Hall has not helped a Jets offense that, at times, has appeared inept. Finding a trade partner, who could benefit from an explosive back would help New York accumulate draft capital, though it would also be an admission to failure and a major rebuild moving forward.
The team has also received calls for defensive end Jermaine Johnson, a highly skilled rusher whom many teams would gladly have on their team.
In the case of Hall, a team that could benefit from an upgrade at the running back position, like the Cincinnati Bengals as they look to stay alive in the postseason conversation, would be a fit.
The Los Angeles Chargers, who have lost several starting backs, including Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton, would be another quality landing spot for him.
Prediction: Hall ends up in Los Angeles in return for a second or third-round pick
The Miami Dolphins reportedly were hoping to avoid making major changes during the 2025 season, but Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Cleveland Browns could be the last straw for head coach Mike McDaniel.
During Monday’s episode of SportsCenter, ESPN’s Adam Schefter explained that the Dolphins’ patient approach likely changed after the team fell to 1-6 with an abysmal 31-6 loss against a Browns squad that was starting rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel.
“I can tell you that the organization had been planning, and I emphasize the word planning, not to make any changes and didn’t want to do anything. Now, we’ll see whether they stick to that or whether one of the worst losses in franchise history, and I think I can call it that safely, would change their plans,” Schefter said.
McDaniel was already on the hot seat entering the 2025 season, but the team’s regression this year could signify the end of his tenure in Miami. The play of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been particularly concerning, as he threw for just 100 yards and three interceptions in Sunday’s loss before being benched for rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers.
Schefter added that it appears to be an inevitability that McDaniel will be out of a job, but the only question is when will the franchise make that decision.
“Look, I think everybody knows the pressure that the organization is under. I think everybody knows that there are going to be changes that come to the organization,” he said. “The question is how soon do they come and does ownership decide to make any sort of change today? After the game yesterday, the plan was no. But I would say last week the Titans also were not planning any changes and then they wound up firing their head coach on Monday. And sometimes owners want certain things done.”
Still, Schefter noted that Miami’s philosophy has been patience, so there’s a chance that McDaniel gets to finish the season. He will focus on preparing the team for next Sunday’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, but another loss would surely exasperate things further.
“Again, their thinking all along has been to be patient and to wait before making any changes,” Schefter said.

TRENDING RUMORS
– Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is on the radar of Bayern Munich, the Daily Mirror reports. Amid continued interest from the Saudi Pro League, the Bundesliga champions now look set to join the race to sign Fernandes, whose transfer is valued at around the £70 million mark. United are open to entertaining bids to sign the 31-year-old if the fee is right, although it remains to be seen whether a deal could be sanctioned in January, as Fernandes is under contract until June 2027.
– Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have set their sights on FC Cologne wonderkid Said El Mala, says Bild. The 19-year-old is enjoying a breakthrough campaign in the Bundesliga, where he has already scored three goals in seven appearances. While El Mala is under contract until 2030, he could be available as soon as next summer for a fee in the region of €30m-€40m. Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for the Germany U21 international in recent weeks.
– Manchester United midfielder Casemirois continuing to attract interest from the Saudi Pro League, according to Football Insider. Despite impressing of late for club and country, the 33-year-old Brazilian is prepared to listen to offers heading into the January transfer window. Casemiro’s contract expires next summer, and while a new deal has been mooted, it would require the player to take a pay cut.
– Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has told Corriere dello Sport that the club won’t be looking to sign Brazilian icon Neymar, 33, if he becomes a free agent at the end of his Santos contract: “Neymar? Come on, that’s b——-. Never contacted, never offered — it’s nonsense.”

The New York Giants may yet trade veteran quarterback Russell Wilson ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.
Raanan reported Sunday that “there is a belief in league circles that Wilson could eventually become a trade target for a quarterback-needy team.”
The 10-time Pro Bowler, for his part, is eager to get back onto the field.
“I definitely want to play. I know how much more ball I have left in me,” he said, per Raanan. “I’m doing everything I can where my feet are and helping our football team win, and that’s important and learn that along the way is be present where you are and try to do everything you can to be prepared every day. So that’s what I’m focusing on.”
Jaxson Dart hasn’t excelled under center since replacing Wilson ahead of New York’s Week 4 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. Through three starts, he has thrown for 508 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Giants are 2-1 with Dart as the starter, though, and the rookie is arguably ahead of schedule in his development given the general predraft belief he’s a long-term project.
Many fans starting counting down Wilson’s days in the Big Apple from the moment he got benched. From New York’s perspective, it makes too much sense not to seriously entertain trade offers.
The 36-year-old is only signed for one season, and he presumably won’t want to return to a situation where he’s all but guaranteed to be a second-stringer in 2026.
The security and leadership Wilson provides as a backup is basically no different than the Giants would get with Jameis Winston moving up a spot in the depth chart, either.
Even if New York only recoups a late-round draft pick for Wilson, that’s something of value in return for a player who’s not helping that much now and is likely out the door next spring.
And surely, when surveying the QB landscape, another team would be willing to make a play for Russ.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are well on their way to a second, consecutive World Series title after a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series and will almost certainly open as favorites to win the Commissioner’s Trophy, regardless of whether they play Seattle or Toronto.
Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported the team will not be silent this offseason, with the Dodgers expected to target Kyle Tucker.
The third baseman missed time due to injury but still hit .266 and accumulated 133 hits, 22 home runs, and 73 RBI, so it is easy to see why the franchise would be interested in adding him to their lineup.
The team possesses an option on Max Muncy’s contract, and should they choose not to pick it up, they would need a new third baseman, making the potential for Tucker’s arrival in the City of Angels even greater.
There is something to be said about chemistry, though, and its role in the Dodgers’ second World Series trip.
The roster in 2025 is nearly identical to that of the 2024 championship squad. The extent to which manager Dave Roberts knows his players and how to utilize them to get the desired outcome.
The players know each other’s tendencies and skill sets. Potentially replacing Muncy to bring in Tucker, while it would be an upgrade offensively on paper, may disrupt the chemistry the team has at this point and threaten to derail the closest thing to a dynasty MLB has had since the 1998-2000 New York Yankees.
For that reason, while it is mighty appealing to add another superstar player to a lineup full of them, it is best not to toy with a good thing.
Especially if the 2025 squad is able to become the first repeat champions since those same Yankees.
The San Francisco 49ers could use some defensive reinforcements given the injuries they are dealing with this season, and they are reportedly interested in a handful of New York Jets players ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline.
ESPN’s Rich Cimini reported Sunday there is belief around the league the 49ers will inquire about edge rushers Jermaine Johnson and Will McDonald IV and linebacker Quincy Williams.
Notably, former Jets head coach Robert Saleh is the defensive coordinator for the 49ers. Cimini called that trio of defensive players “some of Saleh’s favorites in New York,” so there is already an obvious connection in place.
What’s more, Williams is playing on the final year of his deal, so the Jets may want to move him and get something back in return before he potentially leaves next offseason.
New York is 0-6 and already seems to be playing out the string on a lost season. Whether it is these defensive players, running back Breece Hall or someone else, it is an obvious trade candidate team that could start focusing on the future with draft assets.
San Francisco is a team that entered the season with a win-now plan, and a 4-2 start has done nothing to quell those expectations. However, defensive stars Nick Bosa and Fred Warner are both out for the season.
Williams could help make up for some of the veteran leadership lost with Warner in the middle of the defense after four straight seasons with more than 100 tackles, while Johnson and McDonald are potential replacements for Bosa on the edge.
It is unrealistic to expect either of them to be as productive as Bosa, but the 49ers need healthy players to bolster their depth chart.
And Saleh is someone who is familiar with the options from the Jets and could maximize their impact after a trade.
Even though the vibes around the Philadelphia Eagles are odd right now as they search for answers amid their two-game losing skid, the defending Super Bowl champs aren’t looking to trade A.J. Brown.
Per The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Eagles have told teams asking about Brown they “aren’t moving him now.”
Brown’s future in Philadelphia has been a hot topic of discussion ever since his social media post quoting a Bible verse following the Eagles’ 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4.
Addressing the post on Oct. 1, Brown said it wasn’t directed at Jalen Hurts or any of the Eagles coaches and he just “let my frustrations boil over.”
The Eagles were 4-0 after that victory over the Bucs, but they have since lost back-to-back games to the Denver Broncos and New York Giants. The offense has scored a total of 34 points in those games.
In the aftermath of the Giants’ loss, Albert Breer of SI.com reported the Eagles view Brown’s actions “as part of the deal with their mercurial receiver” even as teams have tried calling to gauge their interest in trading him.
Philadelphia’s offense under first-year coordinator Kevin Patullo has received a lot of criticism so far this season. Even when the team was winning games, the offense has failed to impress both in terms of scheme and performance.
There are plenty of reasons for the issues, including injuries on the offensive line, Saquon Barkley not being as explosive as he was in 2024 and no juice in the passing game.
Trading Brown would seem like an extreme move for the Eagles, especially since he received a three-year, $96 million extension in April 2024 that runs through the 2029 season.
Brown is only 28 and has been named to the All-Pro second team in each of the past three seasons. He’s averaging a career-low 11.0 yards per reception so far this season, but history suggests his output will improve over the course of the season.
For all of their recent struggles, the Eagles still lead the NFC East with a 4-2 record. They are the only team in the division that is currently over .500.
Despite being benched just a handful of games into the new season, one struggling Philadelphia Flyers defenseman has at least one admirer out in the Western Conference.
On Friday afternoon, Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff reported that the Calgary Flames, who did business with the Flyers as recently as January with the Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee trade, are looking for a young defenseman. They also reportedly want to move some defenders out.
”Sounds like the Flames are looking for a young, left shot defenseman with size. They have too many bodies on 1-way deals on defense and want to move some out; Bean and Miromanov being two, I’m told,” Di Marco wrote on his X account.
“PHI’s Zamula, who played JR in CGY, I’ve heard CGY likes.”
If the Flames indeed like Zamula enough to make an offer to the Flyers for his services, there could be mutual motivation to get a deal over the line.
Rick Tocchet Issues Blunt Warning to Struggling Flyers DefensemanThe Philadelphia Flyers may have lost to the New York Islanders in Thursday night’s preseason game, but their continued struggles on defense are of much greater concern.
Zamula, 25, has been on the ice for 11 high-danger chances against at 5-on-5 in his two games this season – having been benched for the Flyers’ last two – and has been on the ice for only three high-danger chances for, according to Natural Stat Trick.
The formerly undrafted Russian’s 27.27% on-ice share of high-danger attempts is the lowest amongst Flyers defensemen by a large margin; Nick Seeler is the next closest at 48.15%.
In addition to Zamula’s performances on the ice, agent Shumi Babaev had some recent viral comments on his client’s perceived lack of opportunity to succeed and reach his full potential, so it’s just another unwanted fire the Flyers may have to put out.
As for Jake Bean and Daniil Miromanov, it’s not likely the Flyers would have much interest in either, though Bean, 27, has 263 games of NHL experience and can move the puck at a high level.
Flyers Reportedly ‘Open’ to Trading Emil AndraeAfter Emil Andrae failed to make the Philadelphia Flyers roster out of training camp, the team is reportedly open to moving on from the undersized defenseman.
Bean has one year left on his contract at a $1.75 million cap hit, so if Rick Tocchet and the Flyers want more finesse from the back, that could be an option for them; Bean is 6-foot-1, while Emil Andrae, for example, is 5-foot-9.
Miromanov, 28, is mostly a reclamation at this point, especially given his age. The formerly undrafted Russian has one year left on his deal at a $1.25 million cap hit and finally broke though as an NHLer last season, scoring two goals, seven assists, and nine points in 44 games for the Flames to go with a respectable +2 rating.
The upside lies in his being 6-foot-4 as a right-shot defenseman, but, again, he’s already 28.
As far as defensemen go, the Flames and the Flyers would be making lateral moves unless they find other teams to be takers for these players.
It is, however, interesting that the Flames have interest in Zamula, given that the two teams made a rather large trade with each other earlier in the calendar year.
That line of communication is open, so there certainly could be something there down the road.
