The long-rumored AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship will soon be a reality as AEW head Tony Khan revealed on Wednesday’s Dynamite that the inaugural champions will be crowned “soon” in 2025.

Khan did not reveal any details or a timeframe, merely saying that it’s been a great year, he feels AEW is where the best wrestle, and he was so proud of how the women’s division has been this year.

He then kicked it to Renee Paquette who revealed the title belt design (seen below) which follows what the men’s tag belts look like.

The announcement came before the first title defense for new AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander who faced Mina Shirakawa, friends with former champion Toni Storm.

Khan has been asked about Women’s Tag Team titles frequently during media calls with Khan recently intimating that injuries to the division were holding up plans.

The new addition will make the eighth title in AEW, joining the men’s & women’s World titles, the men’s Tag Team titles, the Trios titles, the Unified title (comprised of the International and Continental titles), and the TBS and TNT titles.

AEW joins WWE and TNA who both have their own versions of women’s tag team titles.

CM Punk has recently revealed that heâ€s secretly mentoring one of WWE‘s rising talents.

WWE Superstar CM Punk was a recent guest on Kevin Hartâ€s Cold as Balls on the LOL Network. When asked what young WWE Superstars he saw as being future top champions, Punk immediately went to Bron Breakker despite his current dislike for him.

“We have a few on the roster. The problem is, I think, personally, I donâ€t like any of them,†CM Punk said. “I think Bron Breakker is an obvious bona fide WrestleMania main event superstar.â€

Punk would go on to reveal that someone on the roster he does like is WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, and reveals that heâ€s been secretly mentoring him even though Dom tells everyone that they hate each other.

“And actually somebody thatâ€s on the roster that I really do like. Iâ€m kind of his mentor, is Dominik Mysterio,†CM Punk revealed. “Dominik likes to tell everybody that he hates me and we donâ€t like each other. But every morning, Dominik starts his day with a phone call to Uncle Phil. Thatâ€s me. And, you know, we talk, we talk about life.â€

It will be interesting to see how Mysterio responds to Punk blowing up one of his favorite interview responses.

Wayne Rooneyâ€s glittering spell at Manchester United produced five Premier League titles, a Champions League crown and a haul of unforgettable goals.

But according to the clubâ€s record scorer, the secret ingredient behind Sir Alex Fergusonâ€s dominant side wasnâ€t tactics or training – it was playing on the PlayStation.

Speaking on his BBC podcast The Wayne Rooney Show, the 38-year-old revealed that much of the teamâ€s bond was forged not on the pitch, but on the road. The players regularly played SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs on the PlayStation Portable, turning long journeys into fierce five-versus-five battles.

“I really believe a big part of our success was playing on the PSP,” Rooney said. “It got us communicating more.

“We used to play it on the plane, on the team bus,” he explained. “It would be me, Rio [Ferdinand], Michael Carrick, John Oâ€Shea, Wes Brown. You have to talk, you have to tactically be right, go and revive people when they get killed, and it was a massive part of our success. Ask any of those players – it was brilliant.”

Rooney added that his teammates†styles in the game often mirrored their personalities on the pitch.

“Michael Carrick was a little sneaky, calm one. Youâ€d be lying down hiding and suddenly hear a grenade bounce nearby – heâ€d thrown it,” he said. “I was just all in, frontline of the trenches, straight in there.”

So while Fergusonâ€s legendary leadership and the squadâ€s quality remain undisputed, Rooney insists that SOCOM and the PlayStation may just have played an underrated role in creating one of footballâ€s most dominant dynasties.

Amid Colorado’s 2-2 start to the 2025 season, head coach Deion Sanders has had to endure some good-natured ribbing from his son Shedeur, who is now in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns.

“Tough. Jokes. They clowning me right now and I’m clowning them right back,” Sanders said about coaching the Buffaloes without his sons during an appearance on the New Heights podcast (5:50 mark). “I just got off the phone with Shedeur. We got this family chat, then we got the girls involved with the chat, then we just got all the boys and all the girls. We got all different kind of chats because we’ve got five kids. So, right now they on my butt. I just told Shedeur, ‘I know you miss me.’ He said, ‘I know you miss me!'”

This marks the first time in Sanders’ coaching career that he is leading a team that doesn’t include one of his sons on the roster. In addition to having Shedeur as his starting quarterback for the past few years, he also coached his son Shilo, a defensive back who spent the preseason with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being released before roster cut-downs.

Colorado has struggled to find consistency during its up-and-down start to the season, but the team earned a confidence-boosting 37-20 win over Wyoming on Saturday. Liberty transfer quarterback Kaidon Salter, who lost the starting job a week ago, was reinserted as the starter this week and delivered with 304 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions on 18-of-28 passing while adding a team-high 86 rushing yards and another score.

“It’s been rough not playing last week,” Salter said after the win. “I just want to go out there and be the best version of me for the team.”

If Salter continues to perform at a high level, the Buffaloes will have a good chance to right the ship.

Colorado will be hosting No. 25 BYU on Saturday, and the matchup is a bit more meaningful after the Cougars defeated the Buffaloes 36-14 in last season’s Valero Alamo Bowl, which was the last game that Sanders coached his sons before they moved on to the NFL.

This current WWE Superstar disclosed a rather brazen act by a fan in an airport urinal, of all places.

WWE Superstars are well-known figures because of their charisma and wide reach, especially those that are top performers. As a result, there will be times that they might get mobbed or worse, harassed by fans who want their autographs and pictures.

Ludwig Kaiser is no stranger to the outrageous fan interaction, and it happened more often during his time with Gunther in The Imperium, since the latter was the more popular. In an interview with Kennt jederpodcast, the German national experienced intense fan mobbing every time he’s in the United States.

He then shared an outrageous story about a time a guy moved closer to The Ring General in an airport urinal by leaning over.

Weâ€ve even been approached at the urinal in the airport. A guy leaned over and said, ‘Hello Ring General, whatâ€s going on?,” Kaiser revealed.

The 35-year-old WWE star also recounted that after he posted an Instagram story, a number of fans swarmed to the lobby of an undisclosed location waiting for him to come out and take pictures with them.

A security guard came up and said, ‘Sorry to disturb you, but there are about 30 fans downstairs in the lobby. They saw your Instagram Story and they wonâ€t leave. Can you come down, take a few pictures, so they go away?,” he added. [H/T Ringside News]

Ludwig Kaiser Unveiled the Reason Why WWE Broke Up The Imperium

The Imperium was formed in NXT UK in 2019, which consisted of Gunther (then Walter), Ludwig Kaiser (Marcel Barthel), Giovanni Vinci (Fabian Aichner), and Alexander Wolfe. The villainous stable lasted six years, and the first two members who departed were Wolfe and Vinci.

This left Gunther and Kaiser, the two remaining pillars of the faction, but eventually, they got split on December 30, 2024, to go their separate ways. The Ring General was the World Heavyweight Champion while the 35-year-old was relegated to the midcard.

During the same interview, Kaiser admitted that it was his and Gunther’s idea to break up The Imperium as they felt that the group had run its course.

The WWE Universe was treated to a heartfelt moment when The Undertaker posted a new behind-the-scenes reel explaining McMahonâ€s surprise induction into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. In the Instagram reel, he shows backstage clips from Wrestlepalooza, starting with his arrival on the iconic Harley-Davidson. He then meets McMahon, who is visibly moved. CM Punk explains how he became such a pro on the mic.

Punk took part in GQâ€s “Replies To Fans Onlineâ€Â feature and responded to some fan feedback about him. During the video, Punk was asked who taught him how to cut promos. First, he said a lot of his skills were natural, but also credited some of pro wrestlingâ€s best talkers for inspiring him over the years.

“I think a lot of it I was born with. A lot of it I learned from watching the great wordsmiths of our business. Roddy Piper, Paul Heyman, Jim Cornette, people who had a way with words. And Iâ€ve always just had that chip on my shoulder and a mouth. So a lot of it, I was indeed born with.â€

CM Punk also pointed out how every promo is different, so he tries not to script things out too much. Rather, Punk says he tries to feel things out and react in the moment since things can change so quickly.

“When it comes to promos, each situation is drastically different from the next. I come — I try not to plan too much because I feel like it needs to be in the moment. I need to be less of an actor and more of a reactor, so a lot of moving parts constantly changing.â€

During the same feature, CM Punk was also asked about his potential retirement plans.
