Both Sydney outfits — Sixers and Thunder — along with Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers, have expressed strong interest.

What do you think about Ashwin’s decision to retire from IPL?

The 39-year-old is expected to begin in the UAE, where the ILT20 runs from December 2 to January 4, before flying to Australia for the BBL, which runs until January 25. The tight scheduling means he will not be available for the entire season in Australia, but his presence is still seen as a marquee addition. With his IPL retirement freeing him from BCCI restrictions, Ashwin has opened the door to other overseas leagues too, including Major League Cricket (USA) and The Hundred (UK).Before those commitments, he will also represent India at the Hong Kong Sixes from November 7-9, adding star value to the side. “This format requires a different strategy and will prove to be high octane,†Ashwin said. For one of Indiaâ€s greatest spinners, the next chapter looks set to be global, high-profile, and action-packed.

Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis had the first press conference for their November bout on Monday, and a handful of details about the fight were revealed.

The fight will have a maximum weight of 195 pounds, and there will be 10 three-minute rounds. Additionally, the two boxers will use 12-oz gloves, and there will be three judges for the fight.

The fight takes place on Friday, Nov. 14 from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The date of the fight apparently slipped Davis’ mind.

The two boxers agreed to the fight in August, though it was originally planned for State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions announced earlier this month that the fight would instead take place in Miami.

“New city, same mission, seek and destroy the tank,” Paul said in a statement, per ESPN’s Andreas Hale. “Kaseya Center. Friday, November 14. I’m bringing the heat, and Miami will see me take down this angry elf while the world watches live on Netflix.”

The fight is arguably Paul’s biggest test to date. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has gotten off to a 12-1 start to his career, though he hasn’t faced an opponent as tough as Davis. Paul’s last three fights, all of which he won, have come against Julio César Chávez Jr., a 58-year-old Mike Tyson and Mike Perry, who is predominantly an MMA fighter.

Davis, on the other hand, is 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts over the course of his career. Davis won the WBA lightweight title in 2021 and has since retained it five times. His most recent fight was a draw against Lamont Roach Jr. in March.

While Davis is more experienced than Paul, there is one aspect that could work to Paul’s advantage: his size. Going off of their most recent weight-ins, Paul has more than 60 pounds on Davis and will look to use that weight to his advantage.

A new report from PWInsider has revealed the ticket prices for next year’s two-night WWE WrestleMania 42 Premium Live Event, and fans planning to attend the show in Las Vegas can expect to pay premium prices. The pricing structure reflects the new strategy under TKO Group Holdings, which aims to maximize revenue for the company’s biggest events. The high cost positions WrestleMania as a premier destination event, with prices that are comparable to other major sporting event like the Super Bowl.

The report details the cost for a two-day ticket across various sections of Allegiant Stadium, where the event will be held for the second consecutive year. According to the report, the highest-priced two-day ticket on the floor will cost nearly $9,000 before any additional handling fees, while the lowest-priced tickets in the upper sections will start at over $850.

This pricing continues the trend of increased ticket costs for major WWE events that was recently discussed by TKO COO Mark Shapiro, who stated the company would be replicating the successful “ticket yield” strategy of the UFC.The reported two-day ticket prices are as follows:

  • Section A1 on floor – $8,998.00
  • Section B on floor – $3,868.00
  • Section R101 – $2,200.75
  • 100 level – $1,495.00, $1,303.54, $1,174.80
  • 200 level – $1,303.54, $1,174.80
  • 300 Section – $1,174.80
  • 400 Section – $854.15

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Tickets for the event will go on sale to the general public this Wednesday, September 24.

WWE is returning to Las Vegas next year for WrestleMania 42. But if you want to attend next yearâ€s event, itâ€s not going to be cheap.

A lot has been made of WWEâ€s rising ticket prices in recent months, but last weekâ€s comments from TKO Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro that the company hasnâ€t been maximizing ticket revenue because Vince McMahon was pricing tickets for families really struck a chord with a lot of people.

Despite the negative publicity of last weekâ€s comments, WWE is doubling down on its ticket prices for WrestleMania 42.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has been able to confirm the two-day ticket prices for WrestleMania 42 before the official on-sale later this week. Mind you, these prices are before any Ticketmaster and handling fees.

  • Section A1 on the floor: $8,998.00
  • Section B on the floor: $3,868.00
  • Section R101: $2,200.75
  • 100 level: $1495.00, $1303.54, $1174.80
  • 200 level: $1,303.54 – $1,174.80
  • 300 Section: $1,174.80
  • 400 Section: $854.15

These tickets are set to go on sale this Wednesday, September 24.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.

When John Cena made his entrance at WWE Wrestlepalooza, he brought out many of his young fans with him, dressed like him. In that moment, viewers were possibly under the impression that Cena was going over Brock Lesnar.

But this was Brock Lesnar’s first match in two years, and he does not simply do the job. An athlete of his stature needs a very good reason to take the fall. This is John Cena’s Farewell Tour, but The Greatest Of All Time has a few more dates before his final match on December 13.

Throw in Paul Heyman and the former UFC Heavyweight Champion’s reunion, and it seems the seeds have been sown for a blockbuster WarGames match in November. Perhaps this is why WWE decided to go with Brock Lesnar drawing first blood.

John Cena Was Originally Slated To Beat Brock Lesnar At WWE Wrestlepalooza

According to BodySlam via Patreon,as of Saturday morning, John Cena was scheduled to defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestlePalooza, but plans were reportedly changed.

Lesnar manhandling The Last Real Champion broke the hearts of many children in attendance. With this bold move, Cena now has a redemption arc to complete before he rides off into the sunset. A win over Lesnar to end his career could be the endgame.

The Never Seen 17 made a career out of overcoming the odds. Big Match John has endured many painful losses and bounced back from them. Should WWE continue the Lesnar storyline till December, it would be reminiscent of Cena’s rivalry with The Rock.

The Farewell Tour has been filled with highs and lows. Despite it peaking with a solid heel turn in March, the success of the heel run is debatable. Eventually, the fans could not continue booing the natural babyface star, and he gave up his villainous ways before SummerSlam, much to everyone’s delight.

The next few weeks should give us a clearer idea of where his story is headed.

WWE fans were shocked when Brock Lesnar steamrolled John Cena in the opening match of WrestlePalooza, but according to a new report, that wasnâ€t the original plan.

A new update from BodySlam.net revealed that Cena was actually booked to win the match—until the decision was abruptly changed. As of Saturday morning, just hours before the show, Cena was still supposed to defeat Lesnar in whatâ€s being called one of his last retirement bouts.

The match had already raised eyebrows when it was moved to open the event, despite originally being scheduled to close the show. Many assumed Lesnarâ€s usual preference to leave early was the reason, but Fightful Select reported otherwise. According to them, ESPN wanted a “big title match†like Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre to close the night instead.

Fightful added that “it was not changed because Brock wanted to fly out early. Itâ€s because of the creative, but ESPN had wanted Cody and Drew McIntyre for the pomp and circumstance surrounding a world title match.â€

Lesnarâ€s performance was brief but brutal. He landed multiple F-5s and left Cena motionless, dominating the 17-time world champion in minutes. What was originally pegged as a heartfelt farewell match for Cena instead became another crushing Lesnar moment—though now it looks like that wasnâ€t supposed to happen at all.

The match kicked off a packed card, followed by The Vision vs. The Usos, Stephanie Vaquer defeating Iyo Sky for the Womenâ€s World Title, and the mixed tag match with CM Punk & AJ Lee battling Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch. The night closed with Cody Rhodes retaining against Drew McIntyre in a title clash that ESPN reportedly pushed to headline.

This last-minute Cena–Lesnar switch raises a lot of questions about how flexible WWE booking still is, even for icons like Cena.

What do you think about WWE flipping the result on Cena and Lesnar at the last minute? Should Cena have gone out with a win? Let us know in the comments.

Eleven Olympic medallists, including one champion, head a star-studded entry list for the WTT Star Contender London at the iconic Copper Box Arena next month.

Top-20 world-ranked players from Japan, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong are heading our way, along with some of Europeâ€s strongest players, including the likes of Bernadette Szocs, Dimitrij Ovtcharov, Darko Jorgic and Anders Lind.

Englandâ€s top players will also be in action, along with Wales†Anna Hursey – and there is still the chance to put yourself at the heart of the action, with tickets still available for the early days of the competition, which starts on 21 October.

Who are the mega-stars heading to London?

The Olympic gold medallist heading to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is Japanâ€s Mima Ito (WR 8), who won the Mixed Doubles title alongside Jun Mizutani in her home nation in the delayed 2020 Olympics.

Ito has no fewer than four Olympic medals, having won Womenâ€s Team silver in Paris last year, as well as Womenâ€s Singles and Womenâ€s Team bronzes in 2020.

She spearheads a world-leading contingent from Japan who are inbound for London, with siblings Tomokazu and Miwa Harimoto likely to be top seeds in the respective Menâ€s Singles and Womenâ€s Singles events.

Both are also Olympic medallists – Tomokazu (WR 4) having been in the bronze medal-winning Menâ€s Team in Tokyo and Miwa (WR 6) in the squad which took Womenâ€s Team silver in Paris.

Germanyâ€s Dimitrij Ovtcharov is one of the most decorated table tennis athletes of the modern era, having won six Olympic medals overall – team silvers in 2008 and 2020 and bronzes in 2012 and 2016, as well as singles bronzes in both 2012 and 2020. He also has five World Championships medals and a bulging collection of titles at European level, including 10 European Championships golds.

Also coming to London are Womenâ€s Singles bronze medallist from Paris, Hina Hayata (WR 13), and two-time team silver medallist Miu Hirano (WR 32).

The bronze medal-winning Mixed Doubles pair from Tokyo 2020 – Lin Yun-Ju (WR 11) and Cheng I-Ching (WR 15) of Chinese Taipei – further add to the stardust of the event.

South Koreaâ€s World No 17 Shin Yubin (Mixed Doubles bronze and Womenâ€s team bronze from Paris 2024), Hong Kongâ€s Doo Hoi Kem (WR 39; Womenâ€s Team bronze 2020) and Germanyâ€s Shan Xiaona (WR 64; Womenâ€s Team silver 2016) are the other Olympic medallists who have entered.

There is a stack of other high-ranking players who have the London date circled in their diaries, including No 1 female European player Bernadette Szocs (WR 16) of Romania and multiple Europe Top 16 champion Darko Jorgic (WR 10) of Slovenia.

World No 12 female Shi Xunyao of China and Franceâ€s world No 28 Prithika Pavade are in the Womenâ€s Singles entry list.

On the menâ€s side, top attractions include Denmarkâ€s Anders Lind (WR 14), Dang Qiu of Germany (WR 16) and Japanese trop Shunsuke Togami (WR 20), Sora Matsushima (WR 24) and Hiroto Shinozuka (WR 28).

Which home-grown talents are playing?

GB rising star Anna Hursey and a clutch of English athletes will test themselves against some of the best in the world at the WTT Star Contender London.

Hursey, still a teenager, has proved she belongs in stellar company, having recently impressed against world No 1 Sun Yingsha of China on her WTT Champions debut in Macao.

She will be seeded into the main draw – the only British player to automatically be included in that stage after Tom Jarvis just missed the cut-off.

Jarvis is the highest ranked English male player in the field in the absence of the injured Liam Pitchford, and he is joined by Sam Walker and Connor Green, three of the quartet who will represent England at the European Championships just before the Star Contender.

Tin-Tin Ho leads the English female contingent, which features some exciting young talents keen to grab a chance to shine in exalted company. Tianer Yu, Ella Pashley and Jasmin Wong will feature after first representing England at the Europeans, and they will be joined in London by Sophie Earley, Mari Baldwin and Sienna Jetha.

More English players could still be added to the field, with wildcards yet to be confirmed.
