One of the starters on the Cincinnati Bengals defense reportedly requested a trade Thursday.
According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, linebacker Logan Wilson asked for a trade after seeing his playing time decrease this season. While he has started in all seven of his appearances in 2025, rookies Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight Jr. have cut into his opportunities.
Cincinnati selected Wilson with a third-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, and he established himself as a starter and a key figure on the defense by his second season.
He entered the 2025 campaign with four straight years of 100 or more tackles, including last season when he tallied 104 tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pass defended in just 11 games.
Wilson was named a team captain at the start of the 2025 season and figured to be one of the defense’s most important players.
But that has not been the case.
Baby noted he played 47.5 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in the most recent victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers after playing just 19.7 percent of the snaps in the previous game against the Green Bay Packers.
Despite not playing as much of late, it still hasn’t impacted his leadership role as a captain.
“It hasn’t changed our relationship at all,” Carter said. “I still lean on him heavily with stuff, still ask him questions every single day. He’s been a great leader, just like the man he is since the day I got here.”
Wilson is signed with the Bengals for two more seasons after the 2025 one, so honoring the request and trading him ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline would take away a defender the front office surely planned to have in the middle of the defense for multiple more seasons.
But those plans may have changed anyway with this year’s shift to younger players.

WWE has requested the Black Widow, AJ Lee, to return to the company.
AJ Lee returned to WWE after over a decade on the September 5 episode of WWE SmackDown in Chicago, Illinois, after CM Punk was getting outnumbered by Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. She appeared for a couple of episodes after that, leading to a match at Wrestlepalooza on September 20.
However, since that victory where Lee made Lynch tap out, Lee has been away from the WWE Programming, raising concerns about the legendary wrestlers. Now, WWE has requested AJ Lee to return to the company on social media.
AJ Lee’s Absence from WWE TV Now Crosses a Month
Seth Rollins had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship following his shoulder injury at Crown Jewel Perth, during the coast-to-coast headbutt against Cody Rhodes. Now, since CM Punk was already the #1 contender for the title, he needed an opponent to face off against at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event. To determine this opponent, GM Adam Pearce announced a 20-man Battle-Royal on the October 20 edition of RAW, which was won by Jey Uso in a debatable manner.
Now, during this match, CM Punk himself was sitting on the commentary table, taking a close look at the ongoing match. When LA Knight was beating Jimmy Uso in the middle of the ring, SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett questioned something to Punk.
Barrett: Are your loins tingling Punk?
Punk: Loins? (Joe Tessitore: Please tell me no, please tell me no.)
Barrett: Well mine certainly are!
Punk: Mine aren’t.. Speaking of tinglig loins, what do you call the new tag team champions? Is it the tag team of AJ Lee. That tingles my loins!
Barrett: That’s really good.

Following this interaction between Punk and Barrett on the live commentary table highlights the light side of professional wrestling, often overshadowed by the brutal and heated side. It would be interesting to see when Lee returns and who she challenges after she’s back in the company
Tod Gordon, the visionary founder of Extreme Championship Wrestling, is currently hospitalized and focusing on his recovery, his family announced Saturday via his Instagram account.
“If you’ve reached out and haven’t heard back, please know he’s not ignoring anyone — he’s just focusing on his health right now,” the family’s statement read. “While he is unable to receive visitors, we appreciate all your love, support, and prayers during this time.”
The family revealed Gordon has been hospitalized “for some time” but did not disclose specific details about his condition or prognosis. They requested the wrestling community keep him in their thoughts during this difficult period.
Gordon founded Eastern Championship Wrestling in 1992, which became an NWA affiliate the following year. After hiring Paul Heyman as booker in 1993, the promotion controversially split from the NWA in 1994 and rebranded as Extreme Championship Wrestling, revolutionizing professional wrestling with its hardcore style and counterculture appeal.
In 2009, Gordon was inducted into the 2300 Arena’s Hardcore Hall of Fame alongside Sabu, with posthumous inductions for original ECW booker Eddie Gilbert and Chris Candido. Most recently, Gordon co-authored “Tod is God: The Authorized Story of How I Created Extreme Championship Wrestling” with Sean Oliver in 2023.
The wrestling community continues to send well-wishes to the ECW legend during his hospitalization.
