AEW star Swerve Strickland shared his thoughts on the recent performance of this WWE superstar.

Strickland is currently out with a torn meniscus injury that goes way back during his WWE run in 2019. He had a successful surgery but the timetable for his in-ring return still remains uncertain.

The former AEW World Champion’s last match was at Forbidden Door on August 24 at The O2 Arena in London, England. He challenged Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Unified Championship but came up short after falling victim to the Rainmaker. Okada then attacked Strickland’s right knee repeatedly as this was a way to write the latter off television.

While currently recuperating, Strickland took to X to react on a recent matchup on WWE SmackDown. For context, Je’Von Evans stepped up to the Sami Zayn’s United States Championship Open Challenge.

The game and gutsy 21-year old impressed the WWE Universe in Orlando with his top-tier athleticism and insane high-flying skills, which pushed The Underdog from the Underground to his limit. In the end, though, Zayn delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb on Evans to remain US Champion.

Strickland couldn’t help but be proud of the performance showed by NXT’s Young OG.

Check out his tweet below:

A user then took note of the former AEW World Champion watching SmackDown. The latter admitted by saying he’s watching his friends, like Evans.

AEW star Swerve Strickland Teases Retirement and Stepping Out of the Wrestling Ring Completely

During a recent interview, Swerve Strickland admitted that he never received five-star ratings from wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, until he went to AEW.

The former world champion was also elated when he learned that he’s the only African-American wrestler to achieve such feat. A user on X shared their thoughts on Strickland’s interview by calling him the “corniest wrestlers ever.”

Swerve responded sarcastically by letting the user know they don’t have to worry and he will hang up his boots eventually.

While the remarks are just for banter purposes, the AEW star previously revealed that he’s might consider retiring and that’s a discussion that needs to be addressed five years from now.

Kelani Jordan made history at TNA Victory Road by capturing the vacant Knockouts World Championship, but it was her real-life Fiancé Carmelo Hayes who delivered one of the most talked-about reactions of the night.

After TNA Wrestling announced Jordanâ€s victory in a tweet, Hayes quickly reposted it with a heartfelt message, writing: “Definition of a Champion!! Who better. Prada you @kelani_wwe â¤ï¸â€ — a play on “proud of you†mixed with a touch of style that fits both their brands.

Jordanâ€s win came after Ash by Elegance vacated the Knockouts Title at the start of the show. Life threw Ash a curveball, and she made the emotional decision to step away from in-ring competition. That left a massive hole in the division, but TNA wasted no time in finding a new champion.

A battle royal was held to determine the final two competitors who would face off later that night for the title. NXTâ€s Kelani Jordan and Léi YÇng Lee emerged as the finalists, with Indi Hartwell serving as the special guest referee. The main event delivered, featuring ringside brawling, technical wrestling, and several near-falls. After a chaotic closing sequence and a top-rope frog splash, Jordan sealed the win with her finisher and became the new Knockouts Champion.

With this victory, Jordan joins a rare group of NXT stars whoâ€ve captured gold in TNA, and she has a target on her back — especially from Indi Hartwell, whoâ€s already booked to challenge for the title.

As fans continue to celebrate Jordanâ€s big moment, Hayes†reaction serves as another reminder that these wins resonate far beyond the ring.

How do you feel about Kelani Jordan becoming Knockouts Champion? Do you think Indi Hartwell will dethrone her? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.

Michelle McCool and The Undertaker had a humorous response to some of the claims fans have made about her.

The latest episode of the Six Feet Under podcast featured a segment called “Coattail Confessions,†where the couple reacted to fan comments.

McCool came under fire after she replaced Mickie James on WWE LFG. McCool also replaced former co-host Matt Lyda on the podcast when it moved over to WWEâ€s platform. This led to a ton of negative feedback from fans, including many who spammed the YouTube channel with comments criticizing the move.

McCool read some of the comments, which got some hilarious responses from the pair.

“[She reads the comment] ‘Taker please, this take your wife to work day needs to stop.†Itâ€s the only chance I get to see him, people!â€

“Oh my goodness,†Taker replied. “Well, you follow me everywhere.â€

“I canâ€t help it. Those coattails are long,†she quipped.

Michelle read a few more comments, including one fan who said her neck was so weird and bony that she looked like “a failed attempt at someone restoring a corpse.†Michelle and Undertaker both burst out laughing at the dig.

“What the hell does that mean?†Undertaker asked.

In regard to his podcast switching things up, The Undertaker said this was just the direction he wanted to take the show.

“Whether you like it or donâ€t like it, I do this, we do this for fun,†he said.â€

Undertaker said that he hopes fans are entertained, but if they arenâ€t they have the choice to do what they want, or not listen to it. However, he encouraged them to “relax and enjoy the ride.â€

Lyda has commented on leaving the show, telling Maven Huffman that the move naturally caused some disappointment for him. However, he says that he and Undertaker remain close friends and there is no bad blood between them.

“[Undertaker] just looked at me and goes, ‘We good?†I said, ‘Mark, we said something a long time ago… if money ever comes in between us, weâ€re going to shut the whole thing down… And weâ€ll forget about all of it,â€â€ Lyda recently told Maven Huffman (H/T toÂSEScoopsÂfor the transcription). “And I was like, ‘Dude, thereâ€s nothing business-wise that on my end would ever come between you and I. I was like, ‘This is a podcast, man.â€â€

Green Bay Packers edge-rusher Micah Parsons told reporters on Tuesday it would be “painful” sacking former teammate Dak Prescott during Week 4’s matchup between the teams, calling Prescott “my guy” and a “good mentor” during his time in Dallas.

Prescott, of course, is hoping that Parsons doesn’t have the chance.

“I hope it’s not (painful) for me. And I hope he doesn’t get to me,” he told reporters Thursday. “It’ll definitely be fun. It’s one me and my fiancée were just talking about the other day. Just all the reps of practice going against Micah, times when he couldn’t hit me, whether him getting back there, just the trash talk back and forth, me telling him he wouldn’t tackle me anyways, he still can’t bring me down. Just getting to go out there and compete with a guy that that’s a good friend, that I’ve competed with in numbers of ways throughout this building, outside of this building. Just excited to go and have that matchup. But he’s got five guys up front, plus tight ends and running backs that he’s got to get through. Then we’ll worry about if he can get to me.”

There’s a pretty good chance that Parsons will at least get a hit on Prescott—through three contests with the Packers he has six quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks and a tackle for loss. Given that he’s been with the team for less than a month and was given limited snaps to start the season, that’s pretty solid production.

And you have to imagine he’ll be motivated to torment his former team after the Cowboys chose to trade him to Green Bay rather than extending him. Prescott should probably keep his head on a swivel on Sunday night.

Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer’s real-life boyfriend, also a WWE star, penned a heartfelt note to her following Wrestlepalooza.

Myles Borne is currently signed to NXT. A few months ago, he confirmed his relationship with La Primera, calling her his “Chilean Queen.”

After winning the World Title for the first time in her WWE main roster career, Borne congratulated her on Instagram with an post of the two together.

Iâ€m so proud of you. You are so special and amazing in and out of the ring. Never doubted you for a moment, keep reaching for the stars mi amor. Congratulations mi campeóna, I love you,” Myles Borne wrote.

Stephanie Vaquer was showing signs of greatness in NXT already, before her jump to WWE’s main roster. At Evolution, Vaquer won the titular 20-woman Battle Royal to become the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship, establishing her position right off the bat. However, unfortunately for her, the planned title contest at Clash in Paris had to be cancelled owing to Naomi’s pregnancy announcement and the vacating of her title.

After Naomi relinquished the title, Adam Pearce announced that the previous titleholder, IYO SKY, would be Stephanie Vaquer’s opponent. The match was booked for Wrestlepalooza, WWE’s debut PLE on ESPN.

With Vaquer’s win last Saturday, WWE has shown massive faith in the Chilean wrestler. It remains to be seen who steps up to her next, as for the time being, she has an annual tradition to partake in.

Stephanie Vaquer’s Match At WWE Crown Jewel: Perth

At Crown Jewel: Perth, she will wrestle SmackDown’s WWE Women’s Champion for the Crown Jewel Championship.

Reigning champion Tiffany Stratton or Jade Cargill, or Nia Jax will be Vaquer’s opponent, depending on who walks away with the gold from the Triple Threat title match this Friday on SmackDown.

Meanwhile, on RAW, megastar Rhea Ripley has sown the seeds for a future title feud against Vaquer. The future looks bright for the 32-year-old Chilean champion.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh didn’t sugarcoat Derrick Henry’s fumbling issues.

After the star running back fumbled the ball for the third time this season, Harbaugh said the problem has to be “fixed.”

“We’ve got to get it fixed,” Harbaugh told reporters. “…We just want to protect the football. All the guys do. We’ve gotta do it and we’ve gotta be good at it.”

Henry lost a key fumble in the fourth quarter and was extremely upset on the bench afterwards:

The Ravens trailed by just four points halfway through the fourth quarter and forced a Lions punt to get the ball back. Baltimore was hoping to put together a scoring drive, but Henry had the ball punched out by Aidan Hutchinson. Detroit recovered and capitalized on the other end with a field goal.

The Lions went on to win 38-30 as Baltimore fell to 1-2 on the year.

In Henry’s defense, his fumble on Monday might be more of a result of an outstanding play by Hutchinson than a lapse in judgment on his part, but it’s still clearly a problem that needs solving.

“I apologized to my teammates, my coaches, I apologize to Flock Nation,” Henry told reporters. “Just gotta keep working.”

The fumble in the fourth quarter of Monday’s loss was his second fumble in the clutch this season. In the Ravens’ season-opening loss to the Buffalo Bills, Henry lost the ball with just over three minutes to play, and the Bills cut it down to a two-point lead before winning on a field goal.

It’s an uncharacteristic problem for Henry, as he had just three fumbles last year and none in 2023. It’s unclear what he can do to solve the issue, but it’s clear its weighing heavily on him.

“I’m gonna try to not beat myself up too much but it’s hard not to,” Henry told reporters.

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey walked away from MMA nearly a decade ago, but it sounds like she’s rediscovering her passion for the sport.

Rousey posted a video on Instagram showcasing her progress since returning to MMA training after giving birth to her daughter in January, and she wrote in the caption that she’s fallen back in love with the grind.

“From 8 weeks after having a baby and 8 years of stepping away from MMA to 8 months postpartum and finding my love for it again,” Rousey wrote in the caption.

The 38-year-old admitted that she was self-conscious about her diminished skills since stepping away from MMA following her loss to Amanda Nunes in 2016 and experiencing her current postpartum issues. However, she said her joy for the sport has returned over the past few months.

“The first clip is my first session working with @aj_mma I was super self conscious, embarrassed of how much I regressed, and honestly trying my very best not to pee my pants throwing punches so soon after having baby PÄ’Å«,” Rousey stated. “Second clip was yesterday, I’ve never laughed or smiled so much on the mat as I do these days. The last 6 months have been an absolute blast, feels like I have so much left to grow, and without the weight of the world on my shoulders nothing is holding me back.”

Rousey’s revelation comes amid the UFC’s announced plans for an event at the White House in 2026. The company recently released the first renderings to show what the event would look like.

Rousey even caught the attention of former rival Cris Cyborg, who expressed interest in finally settling their differences in a fight:

It remains to be seen if Rousey’s return to training will lead to an official fight, but the UFC undoubtedly would move mountains to get her back into the Octagon if she’s interested. The White House card would be the biggest spectacle for her potential return.
