Seeing Cody Rhodes have so much success makes Arn Anderson feel like a proud uncle.
The two aren’t related by blood, but Anderson has been close with the Rhodes family since he and Cody’s late father Dusty were fierce in-ring rivals. Anderson — who has known Cody since he was young — served as Cody’s on-screen advisor in AEW and also made a special appearance with him at a WWE event last year.
Rhodes is currently on his second reign as WWE Champion, having won the title from John Cena at SummerSlam this August. Busted Open Radio asked Anderson what it was like as a viewer to see Rhodes defeat Cena (who Anderson also played a role in mentoring) in that passing of the torch moment.
“Like a doting uncle. Very, very proud of him,” Anderson responded. “Because he did it the right way. He had a tough road to climb being Dusty Rhodes’ son. You know, most people don’t realize, he’s always going to be compared to his dad. That’s not fair, because nothing about him is like his dad was. They were both megastars in different ways, different eras, in different times in the business. I would just say his dad would be very proud.”
Rhodes’ next title defense is set for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1. He’ll be facing off against Drew McIntyre.
On November 20, Anderson is scheduled to make an appearance for MLW at a live special in Charleston, South Carolina. His son Brock Anderson is part of the MLW roster.

Irfan Pathan has defended the call to not include Sarfaraz Khan from the India A squad (Images via Getty Images) Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan weighed in on the growing debate around Sarfaraz Khanâ€s exclusion from the India A squad for the upcoming first-class matches against South Africa A, urging caution against turning cricket selection into a political or communal issue. Sarfaraz, who turned 28 on Wednesday, was not included in either of the two squads led by Rishabh Pant, despite an impressive domestic record, including a first-class average of over 100 in the last five years.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!His omission reignited discussions among fans and observers questioning whether the Mumbai batter remains in contention for Indiaâ€s second-string side.”Selectors and the coach (management) will always have a plan. Sometimes it might look wrong in the fans†eyes, but please donâ€t twist things or create narratives that arenâ€t even close to the truth,” Pathan wrote on X, seemingly in reaction to the discussion and debate that was flaring up on the internet.

Congress national spokesperson Shama Mohamed fueled the debate on social media, alleging religious bias in the non-selection and questioning the stance of head coach Gautam Gambhir. “Is Sarfaraz Khan not selected because of his surname! #justasking. We know where Gautam Gambhir stands on that matter,†she wrote on X. The remarks drew sharp criticism from BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla, who described the comments as divisive. “Stop dividing India on communal lines, caste lines. Keep your dirty political communal agenda out of cricket Shama,†he said, noting that other Muslim players, Mohammad Siraj and Khaleel Ahmed, remain part of the team. Reacting to the contrasting opinions, Pathan emphasized the need to focus on the game rather than letting social media and political narratives create unnecessary tension. He highlighted how quickly wild conclusions were being drawn without context, urging fans and leaders to respect the selection process. Pathanâ€s remarks come at a time when Sarfarazâ€s international appearances have been sporadic. After making his Test debut under Rohit Sharma against England in February last year, he has scored 371 runs in six Tests at an average of 37.10, with a century and three fifties. His last outing for India was in the home series against New Zealand in November 2024, and he has since been left out of major tours, including the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, the England tour, and the home series against the West Indies.

Do you believe Sarfaraz Khan’s exclusion from the India A squad was justified?
The debate around Sarfarazâ€s exclusion from the India A team was also understood as the ‘door being shut’ for him, as emphasized by former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Grayson Waller doesn’t take the Logan Paul comparisons negatively.
The Australian star recently had an interview with Battleground podcast. He talked about things such as his viral Meet & Greet moment, working with big names such as John Cena and Edge and more.
During the talk, Waller was also asked about being compared to the YouTube star. Grayson explained that he doesn’t take the comparison negatively at all, mentioning the success Logan Paul has had inside and outside of WWE:
“I donâ€t think that is a negative at all. Obviously, everything Loganâ€s done inside a short amount of time is very impressive. Look at everything he does outside the WWE. Look at the eyes that he brings to WWE.”
He Genuinely Cares: Grayson Waller
Grayson Waller then revealed that he actually got to work with the former US Champion when he first joined the company. Waller was in NXT at the time and since Shawn Michaels was not going to get in the ring with Paul for his training, the job fell on the former tag team champion:
“I could tell that day like he genuinely cares about what we do, and heâ€s very passionate. When youâ€re coming in as a celebrity, I think thatâ€s, thatâ€s the line that we draw in the locker room. Like, do you actually care about this?
Are you trying to get a payday, trying to get eyes on you? Are you trying to just take from us? But Loganâ€s not that guy. He genuinely cares, and heâ€s very good at it, and I think that upsets a lot of people, so if I get compared to him, Iâ€m not stressing, but I also do think I set myself apart from Logan in a lot of ways.”
The 35-year-old later explained that him being a full-time talent sets him apart from Logan. Since the social media celebrity has a lot of things going on, he can’t be constantly available for appearances in WWE the way Grayson Waller is.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers reacted to teammate Cameron Heyward’s joke about the age of Rodgers as well as Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco heading into a Week 7 matchup between the AFC North foes.
“I think it’s great for all the old guys,” Rodgers said, per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “I know that when I watch other sports, maybe it’s because I’m the older guy, but I tend to pull for the older guys to win championships.”
During the veteran passer’s media availability on Tuesday, Heyward called the game against the Bengals the “Icy Hot bowl.”
The upcoming clash between the two division rivals will feature the oldest current starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Rodgers is 41 years old, while Flacco is 40 years old.
They’re set to become the second pair of opposing quarterbacks of at least 40 years old to start a regular or postseason game against each other in NFL history (h/t Pryor).
Rodgers has been impressive to open his first season in Pittsburgh, completing 68.8 percent of his throws for 1,021 yards and 10 touchdowns compared to three interceptions. The Steelers sit at 4-1, owning an early lead atop the AFC North standings.
As for Flacco, he’ll make his second start for Cincinnati after he was acquired by the team in an Oct. 7 trade with the Cleveland Browns. He started the first four games of the regular season for Cleveland until he was benched on Oct. 1.
While Flacco lost his first start with the Bengals on Sunday, he still performed admirably against a Green Bay Packers squad that owns the NFL’s No. 10 scoring defense.
He finished 29-of-45 for 219 yards and two touchdowns without committing a turnover in the 27-18 loss to Green Bay.
Kickoff between the Bengals and Steelers is on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Becky Lynch didnâ€t make the trip to Australia with Seth Rollins for the latest run of WWE events, and she might be regretting that decision now.
Saturday at WWE Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event, becoming the new menâ€s Crown Jewel Champion. Unfortunately, on the coast-to-coast headbutt, Rollins appeared to injure himself even though he was able to finish the match.
Rollins spoke about the injury on the Crown Jewel Post Show. He admitted that the move could have long-term ramifications, teasing that he was potentially injured.
Less than 48 hours later, The Vision turned on Seth Rollins in the closing moments of WWE RAW when Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed savagely attacked the World Heavyweight Champion and left him lying. This move is being reported as a major creative pivot as Breakker wasnâ€t set to break away from Rollins until some point next year.
Becky Lynch isnâ€t happy with The Vision
Rollins†wife, WWE Womenâ€s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, didnâ€t make this trip to Australia over the weekend. A decision that she seemingly regrets now.
The Man took to social media today to react to the closing moments of RAW, tweeting out:
“Iâ€m gone for one week…,†Becky Lynch said in a post.
Lynchâ€s presence at RAW likely wouldnâ€t have changed anything, as it appears Rollins†injury is very much legitimate. With new reports suggesting he could be heading towards surgery for his shoulder or rotator cuff to repair the damage.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.

Following their historic and emotional victory over their legendary rivals, Team 3D, at the TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view, Matt Hardy has shared his thoughts on the match and the shocking post-match retirement ceremony. The Hardys defeated Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley in a brutal Tables Match to retain both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships, bringing an end to their 27-year rivalry.
Speaking in a post-show interview, Matt Hardy discussed his confidence going into the match, but also his genuine shock at what transpired after the bell.
“I knew we were going to go to war with Team 3D, I was confident we would beat Team 3D. Weâ€ve been on an absolute regular grind, weâ€re doing well for ourselves, especially at our age. Weâ€re both very healthy, very physically fit. Those guys havenâ€t done this in a while, so I thought we would be able to pull off the win tonight and get that W, establish ourselves as the greater of the two teams. They came out looking for a knockout, no doubt, 3Ds right off the jump, right out of the gate. But what I was shocked about was that when the match ended, they took off their boots. They called it a career, I did not expect that. And they gave us their boots, which was the ultimate sign of respect.â€
Hardy also reflected on what has been one of the most successful and decorated weeks of his entire career, in which The Hardy Boyz captured three different sets of tag team championships.
“What a week. We became the NXT Tag Team Champions, we became House Of Glory Tag Team Champions, and then we went on to retire Team 3D, the Dudley Boyz, our biggest nemesis over the last quarter of a century. If you donâ€t think weâ€re the best in the game right now, I donâ€t know what youâ€re thinking. I have four words for everyone, the GOATs are here.â€
AJ Styles has spoken out after seeing Frankie Kazarian break out one of his signature moves during Bound For Glory 2025.
The October 12 pay-per-view from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, delivered plenty of big moments, including the unprecedented ending of the Call Your Shot gauntlet match where Kazarian and Nic Nemeth were declared co-winners.
During the gauntlet, Kazarian caught Steve Maclin with a Pele Kick that instantly reminded fans of Styles†classic offense. The Phenomenal One noticed the move and dropped his reaction on Twitter with a short but pointed response, “ðŸ˜â€
Kazarian followed up the Pele Kick with an Angel Wings, the trademark of Christopher Daniels. The timing drew even more attention since Styles himself had used an Angel Wings against John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel in their own throwback-heavy clash.
While Bound For Gloryâ€s main event saw Mike Santana defeat Trick Williams to win the TNA World Championship, Kazarianâ€s decision to pull out a move made famous by Styles added an extra layer of buzz to the show. Styles†reaction made it clear that he recognized the moment and appreciated the nod to his arsenal.
Do you think Frankie Kazarian using AJ Styles†move was a respectful nod, or should Styles step back into a TNA ring one day to show how itâ€s really done? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
WWE Crown Jewel 2025 featured John Cena and AJ Styles paying tribute to their iconic opponents throughout the match. This included Cena paying homage to Undertaker and now the Deadman has reacted to Cenaâ€s tributes.
The Phenom took to Twitter and reacted to John Cenaâ€s tribute to him at WWE Crown Jewel, thanking both Cena and AJ Styles. He called their match a “masterclass†and a “beautiful tribute to wrestling,†adding that the WWE Universe summed it up best by saying, “That was awesome!â€
“Thank you @JohnCena and thank you @AJStylesOrg . A masterclass and beautiful tribute to wrestling. The #WWEUniverse said it…but that was AWESOME!â€
During the iconic match between the Leader of Cenation and Phenomenal One, Cena hit a chokeslam on AJ Styles to pay tribute to the Deadman. Thatâ€s not all as Cena ended the bout with a thunderous Tombstone Piledriver, following it up with an AA for the epic win.
John Cenaâ€s tribute to The Undertaker wasnâ€t just a way to honor one of wrestlingâ€s legends, it also showed how WWEâ€s legacy continues to grow. As Cenaâ€s in-ring career nears its end, moments like this remind fans of the strong bond between different generations of wrestlers who have build up the sport.
The Undertaker called the match a “masterclass,†showing that it meant more than just a good performance. It was a celebration of wrestlingâ€s history and fans wouldnâ€t have it any other way.

A popular NXT star has reacted to the newfound alliance between Zelina Vega and Aleister Black on WWE SmackDown.
The October 10 broadcast of SmackDown featured a chaotic Last Man Standing main event between Aleister Black and Damian Priest. The Archer of Infamy had the match under control until Zelina Vegaâ€s sudden appearance changed the tides.
Black capitalized on a distracted Priest, blinding him with a fireball to the eyes before sending him crashing through a table with a Black Mass. The show ended with a distraught Zelina standing beside a victorious Aleister Black.
It appears the alliance caught some superstars off guard just as it did fans, as NXT star Lola Vice took to social media to share her reaction. Vice, who is dating Priest in real life, posted a GIF of George Clooney sneaking a peek — possibly implying her potential involvement in the storyline.
On paper, Lola Vice joining Priest against Black and Vega seems like a solid setup for the NXT starâ€s WWE SmackDown debut. The real-life Valerie Loureda has been part of WWEâ€s developmental system for quite some time, most recently representing Team NXT against TNA at Showdown.

Roxanne Perez doesnâ€t have to worry about “when†she gets called up to the WWE main roster anymore. However, she says facing pressure can be a good thing.
Perez and Raquel Rodriguez recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about their tenure in Judgment Day. The pair are two of the newest members of the group, with Perez getting added to the lineup in June.
Prior to her spot on RAW being formalized, Roxanne Perez made several main roster appearances in 2025, including in this yearâ€s Royal Rumble match and a match with Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown. She also appeared in the Womenâ€s Elimination Chamber match, as she qualified as a member of the NXT roster by beating Rodriguez in a qualifying match.
During this time, and towards the end of her NXT Championship reign in 2024, Perez was one of the names consistently mentioned when the topic of main roster call-ups was approached. Perez was asked about not having the pressure of “when†might be. “The Prodigy†noted that pressure can be a good thing, too.
“I think regardless, pressure is good. Being part of both brands, itâ€s not like I was just doing NXT and not coming back to the main roster. I was doing both,†she pointed out. “Theyâ€re having me go to SmackDown and RAW, coming back to NXT, so I thought that was really fun. I thought it was a great opportunity to continue showing the world why they call me ‘The Prodigyâ€. And why I deserve a spot like in Judgment Day. Now Iâ€m having so much fun and enjoying my time.â€
Roxanne Perez faces off with Lyra Valkyria on this weekâ€s episode of WWE RAW.
