Darby Allin has always been a babyface throughout his career, but recently discussed what it might look like to turn heel.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Maggie and Perloff show (via Fightful), Allin said heâ€d be open to anything. While his main goal will always be to do things for himself, he knows the fans are an important part of things.

“You know, honestly, itâ€s just wherever the wind takes me. And I feel a lot of fans, theyâ€re always like, ‘Darby! You donâ€t have to go crazy anymore to impress us.†Iâ€m like, ‘Iâ€m not doing it for you. Iâ€m doing it for me.†I actually love going out there and jumping off ladders or whatever it is I get myself into,†said Allin. “But I also on the flip side, I do see how fast the fans forget about you. I do see how quick they move on. Say if you got an injury or something, theyâ€re, alright, whatâ€s the next shiny toy?â€

Allin went on to say that he could see himself being a heel. However, it doesnâ€t sound like a heel turn is coming anytime soon. Currently, Allin finds himself in yet another popular run as one of the biggest babyfaces in the company. He does seem open to whatever may come, though.

“So in that sense, I could see being a heel and just straight up being like, you are so ungrateful for what it is that we do. But at the end of the day, I donâ€t do it for them so I feel like you canâ€t get mad at them for that. But, who knows? Wherever the wind takes young Darby Allin. Maybe I will go rogue…â€

Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant doesn’t believe he’ll miss the start of the regular season, telling reporters Thursday that anybody worried about the possibility is “tweakin’.”

The Grizzlies announced on Oct. 6 that Morant was considered week to week after suffering a left ankle sprain in practice.

Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo said the injury occurred during a “basketball play” toward the end of practice.

“Luckily, it’s preseason, and we look to have him back soon,” Iisalo said at the time.

Morant has played just 59 games over the last two regular seasons combined due to injuries and suspensions.

He appeared in 50 games of the 2025-26 season, returning for the first round only to suffer a hip contusion that sidelined him for the Grizzlies’ elimination Game 4 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In his last four seasons with the Grizzlies, Morant has appeared in just 56 percent of his team’s regular-season games, per the AP.

The Grizzlies face a steep climb to an eventual playoff bid in a stacked Western Conference. The team’s postseason hopes hinge in large part on a strong season from Morant, whose numbers dropped slightly last season as he averaged 23.2 points and 7.3 assists per game.

Morant potential return in time for his team’s Oct. 22 season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans, and hopefully returning to his previous All-Star production levels, could help the Grizzlies get off to a strong start to the 2025-26 campaign.

TNA Wrestling and WWEâ€s partnership has led to all sorts of crossover matches that fans never thought were possible. However, one name thatâ€s yet to crossover to TNA is Penta and now he has addressed possibly making his way to TNA.

While speaking on the Battleground podcast, Penta was asked about the possibility of crossover matches now that the door is wide open for talent exchanges. He was specifically asked if there was any chance fans might see him step into a TNA ring.

Penta responded by saying he is open to everything and made it clear that before coming to WWE, his goal is to conquer everything in front of him. Whether itâ€s the NXT Championship, AAA, or going to TNA, he wants to face it all without hesitation.

“Why not, man? Iâ€m open for everything. I say very soon before I come to WWE to conquer everything no matter what. No matter if itâ€s NXT Championship, sorry. No matter in AAA, no matter TNA, no matter nothing.â€

We will have to wait and see when Penta will make his way to TNA Wrestling and compete in a TNA ring again, since itâ€s clear there will be plenty of opportunities for him to make that happen in the future.

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

SHOW SUMMARY:PWTorch editor Wade Keller presents the weekly Flagship edition of the Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Podcast with guest co-host Jason Powell from ProWrestling.net and the Pro Wrestling Boom podcast. They discuss these topics:

  • Reaction to WWE confirming today that John Cena’s final match will ve at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December and who are possible opponents that make sense for that major spot.
  • Assessing Cena’s list of opponents so far including how notable it is that only one was under 39 years old (Logan Paul) so far. Is there still time for Cena to step outside his “comfort zone” and actually give back by giving a “big moment” or a boost to someone younger than, say, 35 years old?
  • Thoughts on the storyline and the acting in the Asuka-Iyo Sky-Kairi Sane storyline
  • Where is the Jey Uso-Jimmy Uso-Roman Reigns story headed
  • Reaction to Cody Rhodes needling Seth Rollins over whether he is in favor of and in the loop on the Paul Heyman-Brock. Lesnar dynamic
  • A look at AEW Dynamite’s 6th Anniversary show tomorrow night
  • Should AEW even “try” next week against a big NXT show in a rare Tuesday head-to-head battle
  • Assessing Ricky Saints becoming NXT Champion.
  • And more (including reaction to Kirill Kaprizov signing a record contract to remain with the Minnesota Wild for eight additional years).

IN THE VIP-EXCLUSIVE AFTERSHOW

  • A look at the TNA Bound for Glory PPV line-up including if Santana has shown signs he’s a good top babyface to build around as champion, the odd shake-up in the Women’s Division, the Hardy vs. Team 3D and the electric atmosphere in the Minneapolis Armory, a compelling X Division match, and more.

When Karrion Kross’ WWE contract expired this past August, many fans believed that AEW would be interested in signing him following his growth in popularity over the summer. Although there’s been no indication that AEW is pursuing Kross just yet, a former WWE star who is currently signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion recently shared his thoughts on the idea of the 40-year-old being “All Elite.”

Speaking on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” Ricochet touched on Kross becoming a member of AEW’s roster by listing opponents he could step in the ring with while complimenting the uniqueness of his character.

“Yeah, he’s great. I think again, you think Karrion versus Ospreay is a great match, versus Takeshita would be a great match, versus Fletcher, versus Swerve,” Ricochet said. “I feel like there would be a lot of great matches that he could have. He’s a great character. He would be great at any company because I think he brings something that the fans want to see. They were obviously showing that they want to see it … Him and Scarlet both, they got a great package.”

Since leaving WWE, Kross has easily become one of the hottest free agents in the industry and has main evented shows in promotion’s such as DEFY Wrestling and WrestlePro. On Friday, October 10, Kross is set to enter battle with Matt Cardona at House Of Glory’s With Glory Comes Pride event after the former NXT Champion attacked “The Indy God” at GCW Homecoming.
