NZ-W vs PAK-W Match Prediction:Recent days have not been ideal for the ICC Womenâ€s World Cup 2025 as Colombo witnessed two consecutive washed-out matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. That, though, made things more interesting in the points table as Pakistan and Sri Lanka gained points through no results.

With only one point in the bag from four matches, Fatima Sanaâ€s team will line up in Colombo again on Saturday when they meet New Zealand, the women in green still looking for their maiden win of the competition.

New Zealand, who lost their first two matches before hammering Bangladesh by 100 runs, saw their match against Sri Lanka peter into a washout after the halfway point. With India and England slated as their remaining opponents, the White Ferns would desperately want two points from this fixture.

On October 15, the Pakistan W vs England W match in the 2025 Womenâ€s ODI World Cup took place at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. The Pakistani womenâ€s team won the toss and decided to bowl first. England started their innings by losing their first wicket at the score of 13 runs in the second over. The Pakistani bowling attack completely outclassed Englandâ€s batting line-up, and they kept losing wickets after wickets. Fatima Sana took 4 wickets in this match by giving just 27 runs in her 6 overs. During the first innings, this match was interrupted by heavy rainfall, which resulted in a shorter match of just 31 overs. After the rain break, England resumed their innings and scored 131 runs for 9 wickets in 31 overs.

As per the DLS method, the target for the Pakistani womenâ€s team was 113 runs. As a result of this, despite an overall brilliant performance from the Pakistani womenâ€s team, they had to share a point with the England womenâ€s team.

IND vs AUS:The India tour of Australia 2025 will get underway on October 19 in Perth. The Men In Blue will take on the hosts in a white-ball tour, comprising three ODIs and five T20Is.

All of these matches are important for different reasons. The ODI series signals the beginning of the Shubman Gill era as Indiaâ€s ODI skipper, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli now officially in the final stages of their international careers, as both seniors will now have to merit their places in the ODI XI as batsmen as the selectors begin preparing for the 2027 World Cup.

The T20I series is part of Indiaâ€s preparation for next yearâ€s T20 World Cup, which is indeed only a few months away.

India have historically fared half-decently in Australia when it comes to ODI cricket.

On October 16, the Australia W vs Bangladesh W match in the 2025 ODI Womenâ€s World Cup will take place at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The weather report from Visakhapatnam for this match is described as partly cloudy and humid. So far in this tournament, we have seen that the pitch at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium is very batting-friendly, with dew factor playing a huge role in the second half of the game. Similar conditions will apply for this game, and it is highly predicted that the toss-winning team is going to bowl first.

The Australian womenâ€s team has faced the Bangladeshi womenâ€s team 4 times in an ODI match, with Australia having the upper hand and winning all the matches. Bangladesh has never defeated Australia in a One-Day International match; this upcoming match will be the 5th time that these two teams will face each other in an ODI match. Australia will be coming into this match with very high confidence, as in their previous match, they defeated an in-form Indian womenâ€s team in a historic chase. On the other hand, Bangladesh lost their previous match against the South African womenâ€s team.

Australia W vs Bangladesh W 2025 ODI Womenâ€s World Cup: What to Expect?

The Australia W vs Bangladesh W match in the 2025 ODI Womenâ€s World Cup will be a do-or-die for the Bangladeshi womenâ€s team. They have played 4 matches in this tournament, and have only one match against Pakistan. Currently, Bangladesh sits at the 6th position in the table with 2 points, and a net run rate of -0.263. For Bangladesh to have a realistic chance of qualifying for the semi-finals in the 2025 ODI Womenâ€s World Cup, they will need to win this match.

However, if they lose this, their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals will become unrealistic. After this match, Bangladesh only has 2 matches left, and even if they win both these matches, they can only get up to 6 points, which is generally not enough for a team to qualify for the semi-finals.Â

On the other hand, the Australian womenâ€s team currently sits in the 2nd position in the table with 7 points and a net run rate of +1.353. If Australia wins this match, they will move up to 9 points and will ensure a virtual guarantee of their semi-final qualification. Even if Australia loses this match, they are on the safe side, as after this match, they also have 2 matches, and winning at least one of these matches will likely secure their semi-final qualification.

AUS Vs IND Match Prediction: This ODI series will see two of the best all-format cricket teams in the world compete for supremacy in the one-day format.

The Australian Cricket Team has been in decent form this year, despite losing out on two ICC trophies. First, they were eliminated in the semi-final of the 2025 Champions Trophy, before losing the World Test Championship 2025 final. However, since then, they have found their winning ways, thrashing the West Indies in a three-match Test series 3-0 and a T20I series 5-0. This was followed by a win in T20Is against South Africa and a loss in ODIs to the Proteas. Most recently, the Kangaroos have defeated New Zealand 2-0 in a three-match T20 series.

On the other hand, the Indian Cricket Team has been in excellent form this year. They started 2025 with a win in CT 2025, before playing out a classic Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England against the Three Lions, drawing it 2-2. Recently, not only did they win the 2025 Asia Cup without losing a single match in the competition, but they have also defeated the West Indies in a two-Test series 2-0. This upcoming ODI series will also see Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma return to the national team for the first time in about eight months.

AUS Vs IND Final Optus Stadium Pitch Report

A far cry from its scary image in the past, the pitches of the Optus (Perth) Stadium have been more batting-friendly in recent years, especially in limited-overs cricket. While there is still a bit of a bounce to the surface here, it mostly helps the ball to come nicely onto the bat. In the duration of a 50-over innings, towards the end, the ball starts gripping the pitch a little more, bringing spinners into the game. The boundary dimensions here a a bit lopsided, seeing this is a multi-purpose stadium. While the square boundaries average about 68m in length, the straight boundaries are as long as 82m.

AUS Vs IND Final Weather Report

As the winter in Australia is coming to an end, the temperatures will be a little higher, but still perfect for playing cricket. In the afternoon, the mercury will rise as high as 18 degrees Celsius and will go into the low 10s as the sun sets. The skies will be partly cloudy, but the chances of rain are next to none. The winds will be moderate, and so will be the humidity.

The Indian cricket team will usher in their new era of ODI cricket with the upcoming ODI series in Australia, as it will mark Shubman Gillâ€s first ODI series as Indiaâ€s newly heralded captain in the 50-over format.

Gill has replaced Rohit Sharma at the helm, bringing curtains to Rohitâ€s illustrious tenure as Indiaâ€s ODI skipper. India clinched the last two white-ball ICC trophies under Rohit—T20 World Cup 2025 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025—after losing the final of the World Cup 2023, where India had been unbeaten throughout their campaign until the fateful night of November 19.

The IND vs AUS ODI series will also be keenly watched as both Rohit and Virat Kohli, returning to international cricket for the first time since March, are now under pressure to perform as batsmen and merit their positions in the XI as India start building towards the 2027 World Cup.

When is India vs Australia 1st ODI?

The IND vs AUS limited-overs tour will begin with a three-match ODI series on October 19 in Perth, with Adelaide and Sydney hosting the second and third ODIs, and will be followed by a five-match T20I series.

Indian fans will be setting their alarms, even during the festive Diwali week, to watch Rohit and Kohli. For, who knows how much more international cricket these two giants have left in them?

Talking about Indiaâ€s squad, Jasprit Bumrah is rested, while Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy, who were part of the Champions Trophy squad, are not included. Hardik Pandya will miss the tour due to a quadriceps injury, and Rishabh Pant because of a foot injury.

The players who have replaced them are Mohammed Siraj, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh, Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Prasidh Krishna.

Talking about India playing XI for the IND vs AUS 1st ODI, most of the players pick themselves in the first-choice side.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are set to open, followed by a settled core of Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, all of whom were excellent in the ICC Champions Trophy. Iyer, meanwhile, is named the vice-captain.

Reddy is expected to fill the role of Hardik in the side as a seam-bowling all-rounder, followed by Axar Patel, who has been used as a left-handed disruptor of spinners in the middle overs over the last year and a half in white-ball cricket both by Rahul Dravid and Gambhir.

This forms Indiaâ€s top 7 with two all-rounders in it.

The difficult task for Gill and Gambhir would be to pick the bowling attack. Arshdeep Singh is likely to get the nod, and either Prasidh Krishna or Mohammed Siraj could be the second bowler.

It seems that Harshit Rana, who can hit the deck as a pacer and also whack the ball over the fence as a batsman, is being groomed for the No. 8 role. Given Kuldeep Yadavâ€s excellent form, he is very likely to slot into the XI as the frontline spinner.

Another combination would be to include Washington Sundar and a third pacer in place of Harshit and Kuldeep.

IND vs AUS: India Playing XI For 1st ODI In Perth – Predicted

Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill (C), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer (vc), KL Rahul (wk), Axar Patel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj/Prasidh Krishna

That is something which is very important.”Obviously they are quality players, and their experience will be valuable in Australia. Hopefully, both will have a successful tour in Australia.”Kohli and Sharma are part of India’s 15-man ODI squad that faces the Aussies in three matches in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney on October 19, 23, and 25.That squad will be led by recently appointed Test skipper Shubman Gill, who will take the full-time reins of the 50-over side for the first time in this series.Earlier, opener KL Rahul hit an unbeaten 58 as India beat the West Indies by seven wickets in the second Test to sweep the series 2-0 on Tuesday.Chasing 121 for victory, India resumed on 63-1 and reached their target in the first session after losing two wickets on Day Five at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.West Indies skipper Roston Chase struck twice with his off-spin to send back overnight batter Sai Sudharsan for 39 and skipper Shubman Gill for 13.Rahul hit the winning four, and India celebrated victory over the visitors, who had launched a spirited fightback while following on.India’s left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav returned a match haul of eight wickets, including 5-82 in the first West Indies innings.

As India fell to their second successive defeat at the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup with a three-wicket loss against Australia on Sunday, coach Amol Muzumdar stressed on the importance of finishing well.

Muzumdar pointed out how his wards failed to close out the match against South Africa with the ball and then again fell at least 20 runs short with the bat against Australia after getting off to a good start.

“I always say in the dressing room that we need a good start but we need to have an even better finish,” Muzumdar said in the post-match press conference.

“The finish that we had against South Africa, we ended up losing the game in the last five overs with the ball. Even today [against Australia] if we had gotten another 20 runs, maybe things could have been different.

“At the same time, it has been a gradual progress for us and there have been a lot of learnings. I keep talking about positives and learnings and one of the things to learn is how to finish well,” the coach added.

Having been asked to bat first against Australia, India got off to a stellar start as openers Smriti Mandhana (80) and Pratika Rawal (75) added 155 runs for the opening partnership. The hosts were later bowled out for 330 with more than an over to spare.

Australia, in response, chased down the target with an over left, thanks to a stunning century by captain and opener Alyssa Healy (142). It marked the highest successful run chase in women’s ODI history.
