WWE Star and music sensation Bad Bunny just made history as he got the biggest news of his career on Sunday night.

The Puerto Rican superstar is set to headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8, 2026. The announcement came during Sunday Night Football when the Dallas Cowboys played the Green Bay Packers. Bad Bunny now becomes one of the biggest Latin artists to ever perform on the NFL’s biggest stage, marking a big moment for Latin music. He previously appeared as a guest performer during the 2020 halftime show with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, but now he gets to take center stage by himself.

The 31-year-old artist shared his excitement in a statement, stating,

What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.” (H/T: ESPN)

Bad Bunny posted a cryptic message on social media just before the reveal. He wrote,

I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States.”

Bad Bunny’s Music and WWE Success

Bad Bunny has dominated music charts worldwide. He was born on March 10, 1994, and the three-time Grammy winner became the world’s most-streamed artist on Spotify multiple times. His latest album, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” hit number 2 on the Billboard 200 when it came out in January this year, also topping the U.S. streaming charts.

Bad Bunny also made his mark in WWE. He won the 24/7 Championship in 2021 with help from Damian Priest. At WWE WrestleMania 37, he teamed with Priest to beat The Miz and John Morrison. He later returned to face Priest at WWE Backlash 2023 in a San Juan Street Fight and has called himself the best celebrity wrestler in WWE history.
