A video showing a young fan being devastated after the loss of their favorite WWE star led said wrestler to share a heartfelt and determined response to comfort the distraught fan.

During last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, United States Champion Ilja Dragunov continued his weekly challenge that led to Carmelo Hayes stepping to the plate to get a chance at winning his first singles title on the main roster.

While he put up an impressive performance, and it looked like he had the match won, it was stolen by Tomasso Ciampa, who interfered in the contest when referee Charles Robinson was attending to Dragunov. The Blackheart tripped Hayes, who was on the top turnbuckle, which led to Dragunov inadvertently capitalizing on the distraction and retaining his title.

Young WWE Fan Devastated At Loss Consoled By Carmelo Hayes

This loss devastated a lot of fans; however, it seemed to have a great effect on a young fan whose mother took to her social media to share a clip of the child seeming distraught at his favorite wrestler’s loss and could be seen crying.

Carmelo Hayes responded to said clip via his X/Twitter with a determined message to come back stronger, stating that his time to shine was coming soon. He wrote:

“This reminds me never to forget or downplay the impact we have. My time is coming lil man 💪ðŸ¾ðŸ«¡”

You can read the entire interaction below:

Fans praised this move by the former NXT Champion. When he debuted on the main roster last year, as the third overall draft pick, fans were excited to see how he would be treated on the main roster, as Hayes had built considerable hype around him during his time in NXT.

However, they have been disappointed with the way he has been treated, with many claiming that World Wrestling Entertainment is wasting his potential on the main roster. How Hayes bounces back from this massive loss remains to be seen, but if his message to the young fan is any indication, fans can expect him to build up his wins and hopefully win gold soon.

John Cena has sent a message to Bayley

Cena attended Bayleyâ€s recent training seminar in Orlando, Florida, taking notes on matches performed and offering one-on-one advice to each wrestler. He is said to have spent eight hours at the camp on Saturday.

Bayley thanked Cena in a social media post yesterday. On Sunday, Cena responded:

“Pam, you had asked me a while ago how you could help ‘the businessâ€. You have created something that does exactly that. A collaborative environment with the purpose of making everyone in the room better than they were yesterday. Attitude is infectious, the attitude youâ€ve created allowed me to be better than I was yesterday. Thank you for all you do. Thanks to the entire group of incredible individuals. It was my honor to be invited into the room.”

Brie Coda, the former Elayna Black/Cora Jade, also responded to a post about Bayleyâ€s camp, saying that the wrestling world is lucky to have her.

“The wrestling world is lucky to have @itsBayleyWWE â¤ï¸ Her passion, selflessness and love for wrestling/the future of it inspires me and is truly something special. Everyone should learn something from her #ROLEMODEL”

blankMitchell Starc (AP Photo) Mitchell Starc has officially stepped past a living legend. The Australian speedster is now the most successful left-arm fast bowler in Test history, surpassing Pakistan icon Wasim Akram’s tally of 414 wickets during a sensational spell on day one of the second Ashes Test at the Gabba.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!Starc produced a fiery 6/71 against England, the performance that elevated him to 418 Test wickets, pushing him to the top of the all-time list for left-arm pacers — and triggering an emotional tribute from the man he overtook.Within minutes of the milestone, Akram took to social media and posted a heartfelt salute to Starc, calling him a worthy successor to the throne he has held for decades. His message read like a coronation.“Super Starc! Proud of you, mate,†Akram wrote on X. “Your incredible hard work sets you apart, and it was only a matter of time before you crossed my tally of wickets . I am pleased to give this to you! Go well, and keep soaring to new heights in your stellar career.â€Akram’s words are more than praise. They symbolise a baton being passed between two generations defined by reverse swing, toe-crushing yorkers and unrelenting aggression.Yet, in a moment of humility that stunned reporters, Starc insisted Akram remains untouchable.“Wasim’s still a far better bowler than I am,†Starc said. “He’s the pinnacle of left-armers… I’ll just try and keep churning a few out.â€While he plays down the achievement, Starc now sits alongside cricket’s immortals. Among Australian wicket-takers, only Shane Warne (708), Glenn McGrath (563) and Nathan Lyon (562) stand ahead of him. At 35, with form sizzling and the Ashes still unfolding, his chase isn’t over.

Detroit Red Wings top defenseman Moritz Seider isn’t known as a fighter, as he had dropped the gloves only one time in his NHL career entering Saturday evening’s tilt against the Boston Bruins.

But in the waning seconds of the opening 20 minutes of play, Seider got into a scrum with Boston’s Mark Kastelic that eventually turned into a full-fledged bout.

Both players traded multiple punches, and it was Kastelic who ultimately got the takedown with a vicious right hook.

Seider and the Red Wings would ultimately fall by a 3-2 final score in the shootout to the Bruins, whom they will face once again on Tuesday evening at Little Caesars Arena.

Afterward, Seider said part of the reason why he felt the need to drop the gloves was as a response to the physicality showed by the Bruins and to answer when the club gets, as he put it, “pushed around”.

“A very tough guy, but I think we just needed a little bit of a spark,” he said of his fight with Kastelic. “I think we sometimes get pushed around a little bit, and sometimes we just need to answer. It doesnâ€t matter the outcome, just got to show face and be ready for it.â€

There were some tense moments for Red Wings fans at the beginning of the second period, as Seider wasn’t on the bench. However, Seider would eventually return to the contest and ultimately finished with a team-high 28:18 of ice time.

Dylan Larkin, who extended his point streak with an assist on Lucas Raymond’s third period tally, gave Seider props for taking on Kastelic.

“Thatâ€s important that we stuck together,” he said. “Great for Mo to stick up for himself. Thatâ€s a tough customer he took on. He did really well.â€

“It was good for Mo,” head coach Todd McLellan said. “Good for our team to stand our ground. He did a real good job.â€

Like most NHL teams, the Red Wings no longer carry a traditional enforcer – a player who sees limited ice time, contributes little offensively, and is used primarily as an on-ice sheriff. The role of an enforcer has fallen by the wayside in NHL competition in recent years.

But there are multiple Red Wings who have more than one fighting major on their resume, including both Larkin and Alex DeBrincat along with J.T. Compher and Travis Hamonic.

Depth forward Austin Watson, who had one fighting major during his brief NHL stint with Detroit last season, amassed seven fighting majors with the Grand Rapids Griffins that same year and has added two more so far this season.

There could be more fireworks on Tuesday evening when the Red Wings and Bruins reconvene at Little Caesars Arena for the conclusion of their short home-and-home series.

NAPLES, Fla. — When the final putt of the 2025 LPGA season dropped, the player who defined the campaign lifted her arms and smiled. Jeeno Thitikul had just defended her CME Group Tour Championship title and put herself in the LPGA record books in the process.

The World No. 1 entered the final round at Tiburon Golf Club with a six-shot lead over Nelly Korda and Pajaree Anannarukarn. Thitikul’s victory on Sunday felt inevitable. Even when Anannarukarn got within two at the turn, it was never felt in doubt. When Thitikul birdied No. 10 and Annanarukarn bogeyed No. 12 up ahead, the lead was back to four, and the only battle was between Thitikul and history. She entered the day just decimal points behind Annika Sorenstam for the best single-season scoring average in LPGA history, needing to shoot a three-under 69 or better in the final round to eclipse a mark that has stood for 23 years.

She birdied No. 13 to get to three under on the round and then poured in a 10-footer on the final hole for good measure, finishing with a scoring average of 68.681 to top Sorenstam’s 2002 mark of 68.897.

“It just such an honor,” Thitikul said of breaking Sorenstam’s record. “I mean, like I never ever dream of having that record at all. I mean, like that’s really amazing [record] that I am going to have.”

Nelly Korda looks on as Jeeno Thitikul plays a shot

‘Double-edged sword:’ LPGA’s big conundrum has no clear answer

The win was Thitikul’s third of the season and seventh of her career. While the wins don’t tell a story of dominance, Thitikul was undoubtedly the player who levitated above this LPGA season. She finished the year ranked first in wins, runner-ups, top 10s, Strokes Gained: Total, Birdie or Better Percentage, Bogey Avoidance, Par 3 scoring and Par 4 scoring. She won the Player of the Year Trophy and the Vare Trophy for top scoring average.

Thitikul has been great, but the 2025 season, which culminated with a $4 million winner’s check on Sunday, had its share of ups and downs. She overtook Korda as World No. 1 and won three times. But she also lost to Grace Kim in a playoff at the Evian, had a costly late bogey to lose the FM Championship and four-putted on the 72nd hole at the Kroger Queen City Championship to lose to Charley Hull.

It was that loss in Cincinnati that defined Thitikul’s season — in the pain it brought, the resolve it revealed and the message it, and the season at large, delivered to the 22-year-old star.

“I remember the day that I came to Dallas after the Kroger,” Thitikul said Sunday when asked what she’d remember about 2025. “I have the ice pack put in my eyes because I cried so bad. That’s what I’ll remember.”

She took a picture of herself with the icepack on her eyes so that a rock-bottom moment won’t get lost when the highs of professional golf arrive.

“I just want to remind myself that the day that you reach there or the day that you — like the happiness in your life, this day will come definitely. Like the sadness will come. So just kind of like whatever you had in your career doesn’t define who you are and doesn’t define like who I am.”

Thitikul bounced back from the devastation in Cincinnati a few weeks later when she pulled off an improbable Sunday comeback to win the Buick LPGA Shanghai, becoming the LPGA’s first repeat winner of the season. One month later, she arrived at Tiburon Golf Club ready for the long, grueling season to be over.

Then, she went out and torched the Greg Norman design to become the second player to win back-to-back CME Group Tour Championships and put an exclamation point on a season that has been about more than birdies and bogeys for the World No. 1.

“This year had taught me to be more humble, to be honest,” Thitikul said before the tournament. “You know, like you’re there and definitely one day you’re not going to be. [It won’t] last forever in my career for sure.”

Nothing lasts forever. But Jeeno Thitikul’s 2025, one she punctuated on Sunday in Naples, will be remembered for quite some time.

Bandido says he’ll always be by Brody King’s side.

King and Bandido lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships to FTR at Full Gear, concluding Brodido’s three month reign with the belts. Following the loss, Bandido shared a message to his partner on Instagram:

“Hermano!! I write this to say thank you for everything!! Tonight was not our night but we went so far! In the beginning, nobody believed in us. Now, we made wrestling history!!! So donâ€t be sad. The diamond was discovered & itâ€s impossible to cover its brightness!! Remember you taught me how to never stop fighting!!! And thatâ€s what we need to do now! I love you hermano! And I will always be by your side!”

Brodido won the titles in a three-way match at AEW All In: Texas against FTR and the then-champions Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. Throughout their 90-day reign, they successfully defended the titles against Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta, Galeon Fantasma in CMLL, against JetSpeed, the Young Bucks and Hechicero & Josh Alexander in a four-way at All Out, and GOA’s Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona. Their final successful title defense came against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada at WrestleDream.

Full Gear was the 18th time the AEW World Tag Titles have changed hands. FTR and The Young Bucks are the only teams to have won them more than once, having each had three reigns with FTR’s win on the pay-per-view.

blankIn the potential absence of Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant will step up to lead the side. (PTI Photo/Shahbaz Khan) Rishabh Pant offered a brief look into Indiaâ€s preparations for the must-win Guwahati Test, sharing a set of photos with teammates and captioning them, “In good company.†The post came at a time when the team is under scrutiny after going 1–0 down in the two-match series against South Africa.

India batting coach Sitanshu Kotak shares key update on Shubman Gill’s fitness ahead of second Test in Guwahati

Pant appeared at ease in the images, a contrast to the pressure India face heading into the second Test. With Shubman Gill still a question mark for the 2nd Test due to a neck spasm, Pant may lead India for the first time in Test cricket. His debut as captain will make him only the second wicketkeeper to lead India in the format, after MS Dhoni.Screenshot 2025-11-20 230057

Rishabh Pant’s post on X

Notably, in the pictures, Shubman Gill was absent, as the vice captain and teammates Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep & Kuldeep Yadav posed for pictures. India will also be adapting to modified playing hours in Guwahati. Owing to early sunsets in the region, the match will begin 30 minutes ahead of the usual start time. The opening session will be followed by a shorter tea break, with lunch moved to early afternoon to maximise daylight. His comments and energy from behind the stumps have stood out, adding layers to an otherwise difficult match for India, who were bowled out for 93 in the fourth innings at Eden Gardens.

Poll

Do you believe Rishabh Pant is ready for his debut as Test captain?

As the team regroups, Pantâ€s social-media post has been read as a sign of calm within the camp. The squad arrived in Guwahati knowing that only a win will help them salvage a draw in this series, and Pantâ€s leadership, if asked to do so, will be under close watch as he steps into a role previously held by MS Dhoni. The second Test at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium begins on Saturday, with India seeking to avoid back-to-back home series defeats and reshape the narrative after a challenging start.

NAPLES, Fla. — The champion of this week’s CME Tour Championship will take home a $4 million check, but that player might be this week’s second winner behind new commissioner Craig Kessler — and the league he now oversees.

Kessler has been on the job for just four months but has already shown he understands where the LPGA needs to grow — and that he’s willing and able to make the necessary moves to push the Tour in that direction. The LPGA already announced a new tournament in partnership with Golf Saudi. The announced the relocation of the Chevron Championship to upgrade the event experience. And on Tuesday, the Tour announced a groundbreaking new partnership with FM, Golf Channel, and Trackman to improve and elevate the television broadcast in 2026. The investment from FM will make it so that every round of every tournament is broadcast live in the United States. The broadcasts will come with 50% more cameras, drone footage and improved shot-tracking data.

When Kessler was announced as commissioner, he outlined “four pillars of success” to help the LPGA grow. The second was “visibility.” Tuesday’s deal made that pillar stronger than ever, and the players understand how important it is to the present and future of their Tour.

“Television partnership is everything really,” three-time major winner Minjee Lee said on Tuesday. “Essentially, we’re entertainers, so if we don’t have TV times, live TV times, or the slots are when a lot of people are watching TV, it’s hard to really build the Tour the way we want to build it. … I think having more exposure as players that’s everything to us, too. It’s really cool to see how Craig has — with his short time being on Tour how he’s trying to elevate our Tour, and see how we go.”

The former Topgolf and PGA COO has a new gig: leading the way for the LPGA, where, he’ll be the first to tell you, the stars are already aligned.

Craig Kessler Q&A: The LPGA’s new commissioner on goals, ‘pillars’ and what success looks like

By:

Dylan Dethier

Lee watches her brother, Min Woo, play on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. She has seen firsthand how different the two television products are and is hopeful that this partnership will begin to put the women’s golf product on a similar footing with the men’s game.

“I do think they have good TV times, so that’s why I can just turn it on and it’s live,” Lee said of the PGA Tour and DP World Tour broadcasts. “I think that’s kind of an important part of building a better tour. Just having more exposure as players. That’s sort of what we are always working towards.”

Hall of Famer Lydia Ko has seen the LPGA Tour struggle to elevate its product for years. There are a number of reasons why the LPGA hasn’t broken through to a larger sports audience, but visibility and television coverage play major roles in elevating the players and the sport. Kessler’s move is one Ko has been hoping to see for a long time, and one she knows is fitting for the talent on the Tour. Making the Tour visible every week and making it easier to follow with ShotLink data can be a game-changer for women’s golf.

“I think it’s what the players and the Tour deserve,” Ko said. “I do believe this will just grab more attention of some people that just have a hard time tracking things before. I think I’ve been in that position where I don’t play a tournament, and I kind of want to watch or see what happened or see some of the data, and it’s been an aspect that I felt like we could really improve on.

“So to see the growth in that and see how much more coverage we’re going to get domestic and overseas, it’s a very exciting thing. I think there has been a lot of exciting announcements these past couple months. I think Craig has officially been the commissioner since July-ish. In four months, I think we’ve seen a lot of great improvement in things that I feel like we should have been in that position more a long time.”

Added 2025 Evian champion Grace Kim: “I think we need all the exposure that we should be getting. I think sometimes, especially overseas, the times might not match, so being able to have that extra time on the broadcast could definitely boost our views. … To be able to have that connection to get it globally for a longer period of time I think is huge.”

Kessler has a lot on his plate as he looks to strengthen his four pillars — trust, visibility, building a fan base and securing a financial future — and help the LPGA break through on a bigger level. It will take time to bring his vision to reality.

But his first moves are big swings that show Kessler understands the assignment, and the broadcast change sent a clear message that Kessler has both a plan and the vision to lead the LPGA to its desired destination.

“I think the last couple months have been a little bit of the fast-forward pace, and it’s been great to be part of that and to kind of see the growth from that perspective,” Ko said of Kessler’s early run as commissioner. “I think we’re growing as an organization and becoming — and having a much stronger, I guess, foundation to the organization outside of just playing for more money and what kind of directly impacts us day-to-day. I think having those kind of things set is really important for us going forward.

“I’m excited for what’s next. And I truly believe that Craig is going to take our tour to that next step, and I’m excited to be part of that.”

John Cena took to social media with an emotional message to WWE fans ahead of his final Monday Night Raw appearance tomorrow at Madison Square Garden, directly addressing the iconic crowd reactions that have defined his career.

“Tomorrow night on @netflix is the end of an era in WWE. Don’t miss the final episode of #WWERaw U will ever C ME perform in,” Cena wrote on X/Twitter, employing his signature “You Can’t See Me” wordplay one last time for Raw audiences.

The 16-time World Champion specifically acknowledged both sides of his famously polarizing fan reactions, inviting fans to participate in the dueling chants that have followed him for nearly two decades. “No better stage than the iconic @TheGarden to chant ‘Let’s Go Cena’ or ‘Cena Sucks!’ Whatever it is, The Last Time is Now because after this … I can’t wrestle,” Cena stated.

The message carries extra weight as Cena’s retirement tour continues through 2025, with tomorrow’s Raw marking his final appearance on the red brand where he built his legacy. His acknowledgment of the “Cena Sucks” chants alongside supportive ones demonstrates his embrace of the unique relationship he’s maintained with WWE audiences throughout his career.

The November 17 episode airs at 8 PM ET on Netflix from Madison Square Garden.
