A recently released WWE talent is already shooting their shot with All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan on social media.

On Friday evening, during WWEâ€s tour of Australia, the company released multiple NXT talents. Fans found out about a majority of the releases during SmackDown when it aired on the USA Network.

The following names were released by the company on Friday:

  • Wes Lee
  • Stevie Turner
  • Lance Anoaâ€i
  • Jin Tala
  • Drako Knox
  • Haze Jameson
  • Summer Sorrell
  • Brayden “BJ†Ray
  • Jamar Hampton

So, which released talent is already reaching out to Tony Khan?

Brayden “BJ†Ray to Tony Khan: Your boy is ready

Former NXT Superstar and LFG competitor Brayden “BJ†Ray took to social media this afternoon to reach out to All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan, looking for an opportunity from WWEâ€s biggest competitor, tweeting out:

“@TonyKhan Your boy is ready… call me *phone emoji* – The Ratings Machine (aka SexyBJRay),†Brayden Ray said in a post.

While Ray is particularly new to the pro wrestling scene, with only 19 matches currently under his belt, you canâ€t question his passion or dedication for the industry, as he recently revealed that he competed on both seasons of WWE LFG with a completely torn labrum and rotator cuff.

Whether or not Tony Khan is interested in bringing Ray into All Elite Wrestling is another question entirely. Regardless, you have to give credit to the former WWE talent for putting himself out there and openly campaigning to Khan to give him a phone call.

AEW President Tony Khan made sure to visit Kota Ibushi in the hospital as the Japanese star continues to recover from broken femur surgery. On Instagram, Ibushi was grateful that Khan took the time to see him in the hospital, though was somewhat embarrassed that Khan had to see him this way.

“The boss came around alone and everyone was surprised, and I was surprised in the first place. You don’t usually show up like this, why do you do all that?”

Ibushi was stretchered out of the latest taping of AEW Collision, and later confirmed on social media that he was dealing with a broken femur. After the taping, Khan appeared in front of the crowd and expressed his appreciation for Ibushi.

In a previous post, Ibushi shared that he could be out of action for over a year and reflected on dealing with injuries and setbacks for years. Kota went as far as to say that another setback like this will leave him living like a normal person, seemingly indicating a potential retirement from wrestling.

Ibushi signed a new contract with AEW in August 2025 after a near-two-year hiatus from the company. While Ibushi won’t be wrestling anytime soon, he clearly has the support of all of AEW on his side.

Tony Khan has reacted to the recent injury to AEW star Kota Ibushi on tonightâ€s episode of Collision.

In a recent post on X, Khan said that he was very grateful for Ibushi and believes heâ€s one of the best wrestlers in the world. He said that he wishes Ibushi the best in his recovery, and confirmed Ibushi had suffered a leg injury.

During a planned match with Josh Alexander on AEW Collision, Ibushi fell off the turnbuckle and onto the ground outside the ring. According to fans in attendance, Ibushiâ€s leg buckled, and he was promptly checked on by officials. After some time, Ibushi had to be stretched off and into the back.

Later reports confirmed that Ibushi had suffered a broken femur during the match. Itâ€s unclear how long Ibushiâ€s recovery will take, but heâ€ll be away from action for some time as a result.

Kota Ibushi first joined AEW in 2023 and has, unfortunately, had a string of injuries throughout his time with the company. He suffered injuries in 2024 and earlier this year, before returning in June. Itâ€s currently unclear how serious Ibushiâ€s injury is. But on behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish him a quick and painless recovery.

Tony Khan has commented on Kota Ibushiâ€s injury.

On Saturday, AEW ended up airing the Kota Ibushi vs. Josh Alexander match that was taped on Wednesday at Daly’s Place that ended after Ibushi broke his femur, landing badly on his leg after losing his balance off the top rope. Ibushi will require surgery as a result of the accident.

“We are all very grateful for The Golden Star @ibushi_kota,†he wrote. “In my opinion, heâ€s one of the greatest wrestlers that Iâ€ve ever seen. He is adored by the AEW locker room + fans worldwide. We wish him the best as he recovers from the leg injury he suffered on #AEWCollision tonight!â€

The injury took place when Alexander had Ibushi on his shoulders as he went to the top rope, but Ibushi appeared to lose his balance and both ended up falling out of the ring. Ibushi was unable to move as Alexander re-entered the ring. Ibushi ended up losing the match via count-out.Â

After the match was called, Mark Davis made his return and attacked Ibushi briefly before he was stopped by Kenny Omega, who attacked both Alexander and Davis.

Tony Khan stepped into the ring at Dailyâ€s Place during the October 8 AEW Collision taping to address the crowd directly after Kota Ibushi was stretchered out following a scary fall. The footage from the moment shows the AEW President pausing the show to recognize the seriousness of the situation and the respect shown by fans in attendance.

Ibushiâ€s match against Josh Alexander was cut short when he took a hard fall outside the ring. EMTs rushed to ringside, and after a long delay, Ibushi was stretchered out and later taken to a nearby hospital. The injury left a somber tone in the venue, and Khan personally acknowledged it before resuming the show.

“Most challenging sport of all. When it comes to injuries, the hardest hitting sport of all is professional wrestling. Thank you for being so respectful. And letâ€s give it up for Kota Ibushi. Thank you.â€

The show eventually continued, with Kenny Omega attacking Alexander after the bell and throwing a trash can at the returning Mark Davis. But despite the chaos, the crowd remained focused on Ibushiâ€s condition—and Khanâ€s appearance served as a rare moment of transparency from the AEW frontman.

While AEW has yet to release an official medical update, the fact that Ibushi was transported directly to the hospital rather than evaluated backstage has raised concern about the severity of his injury. Ringside News will continue to provide updates on this developing story.

What are your thoughts on Tony Khan speaking to the crowd during a real medical emergency? Do you think AEW should provide more regular updates in situations like this? Let us know in the comments—we want to hear from you.

Jon Moxley isnâ€t just one of AEWâ€s biggest stars—heâ€s one of the companyâ€s key backstage leaders.

Thatâ€s according to AEW President Tony Khan, who had nothing but praise for the former world champion during a new interview with Dirt Sheet Radio. Moxley has been with AEW since 2019, stepping in whenever the company needed a dependable main eventer. Even during his stint in rehab, fans and management alike continued to rally behind him. According to Khan, Mox is far more than just a top name on the card.

“Itâ€s incredible. Jon Moxley since day one has been one of the most important stars in AEW, but backstage Jon Moxley is also, as youâ€ve correctly assessed, one of the most important people backstage in AEW.â€

Khan mentioned how respected Moxley is by the entire locker room and described just how committed heâ€s been to AEW since the beginning.

“Everybody in AEW has so much respect for Jon Moxley and he arrived in AEW as a huge star. Since we started AEW, heâ€s been the most consistent presence on the show week in, week out on all of our shows.â€

Itâ€s not just Moxleyâ€s ring work that earns praise—itâ€s also his leadership and wrestling IQ that sets him apart.

“Jon Moxley works so hard. Heâ€s a phenomenal wrestler. Heâ€s a phenomenal leader. Heâ€s a genius about pro wrestling, and Jon Moxley is one of my favorite people Iâ€ve ever gotten to work with.â€

Khan made it clear that Moxleyâ€s contributions have directly shaped AEWâ€s growth:

“Everything heâ€s done in this company has been to the benefit of AEW and Jon Moxleyâ€s a phenomenal, phenomenal wrestler.â€

Moxleyâ€s legacy in AEW is already solidified with multiple title runs and a rep for being the guy who always shows up when needed. But hearing Tony Khan put it into words shows just how valued he is both on and off camera.

Do you think Jon Moxley is AEWâ€s true MVP? Should he get another world title run? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.

Jon Moxley is one of Tony Khan’s favorite people that he’s ever worked with in any line of business.

During an interview with 3NT Wrestling, Khan spoke incredibly highly of Moxley’s work in the ring and as a locker room leader. Moxley debuted on the first-ever AEW show in 2019 — and Khan believes Moxley has been the most consistent presence in AEW through its first six years.

“Jon Moxley, since day one, has been one of the most important stars in AEW. But backstage, Jon Moxley’s also — as you’ve correctly assessed — one of the most important people backstage in AEW,” Khan said. “Everybody in AEW has so much respect for Jon Moxley. He arrived in AEW as a huge star. And since we started AEW, he’s been the most consistent presence on the show week in, week out on all of our shows.

“Jon Moxley works so hard. He’s a phenomenal wrestler. He’s a phenomenal leader. He’s a genius about pro wrestling. And Jon Moxley’s one of my favorite people I’ve ever gotten to work with. And I’m really, really proud that Jon Moxley is in AEW. I think he was a fantastic World Champion time after time after time in AEW. Everything he’s done in this company has been to the benefit of AEW. And Jon Moxley’s a phenomenal, phenomenal wrestler.”

Moxley has had four reigns as AEW World Champion. The most recent of those occurred from October 2024 to July 2025, when current champ Hangman Page dethroned him for the belt. Moxley is the leader of the Death Riders, a faction that now consists of Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir, PAC, and the recently added Daniel Garcia.

A singles match between Moxley and Tomohiro Ishii is part of the lineup for tonight’s Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite in Jacksonville, Florida.

Throughout this year, it’s no secret that WWE’s ticket prices have continued to rise, with a standard seat to most of their weekly shows becoming much more expensive since TKO partnered with the promotion. However, fan outrage reached an all-time high last month when the ticket prices for WrestleMania 42 were revealed, with the cheapest seat being priced at $850, and lower bowl and floor seats costing well above $1,000. Following the announcement, many fans felt that WWE was beginning to out-price families from attending their events, and amongst the chaos, AEW President Tony Khan reassured that his company’s ticket prices will remain affordable.

“I think we have really always made it very family friendly from the very first AEW show. It’s always been important to have affordable tickets for he fans and we’ve always kept the entry price very affordable and that’s been consistent for AEW from the very beginning … it’s really been over the years for me something that we’ve always made a point of emphasis and we bring it up time after time throughout the year,” Khan explained speaking with “The Sportster.” “I do think in professional wrestling AEW is absolutely the best value you get for your tickets … we’ve been having a lot of people this past year, really positive feedback from them, saying that the ticket prices for AEW are a big positive point for the company.”

Khan continued to explain that setting tickets at a reasonable price has not negatively affected sales, stating that AEW has more gates over a million dollars than ever before this year. Khan stated that All In, All Out, and Forbidden Door all reached that threshold, with each event being some of the biggest gates that the company has ever done in its six-year history.

Andrade made his AEW return during the October 1st edition of Dynamite, having already signed a deal with the company. Many people were happy to see him back but journalist Dave Meltzer was not one of them and now Andrade has called out Meltzer in a big way.

Andrade took to Twitter and fired back at Dave Meltzer, telling him he talks too much without any proof. He explained that when his AEW contract ended, he personally went to thank Tony Khan face-to-face for giving him the chance to work there.

Andrade said that was all he wanted to say, but if he chose to speak more, he could prove Meltzer wrong on many things. He ended his message by saying Meltzer keeps hurting the wrestling business and wished him the best.

“@davemeltzerWON You talk too much s*** without proof, and Sir, Iâ€ll only tell you one thing: when my contract with AEW ended, I personally went man to man to thank MR. TONY KHAN for the opportunity to be in AEW, and thatâ€s all Iâ€ll tell you. If I wanted to talk more, I would show you that youâ€re wrong about many things. But you keep killing the business! Yo le deseo lo mejor!!â€

This comes after Dave Meltzer talked about Tony Khanâ€s choice to re-sign Andrade on Wrestling Observer Radio. He claimed Tony thought they had a new deal ready, even though nothing was signed. Tony tried to keep Andrade until the very last moment, but Andrade had already decided to go back to WWE. When his contract ended, he left.

“Andrade led Tony Khan to believe he was re-signing; Khan thought they had a renewal agreement in place, though it wasnâ€t signed yet. Khan pursued him until the last moment, despite insiders knowing Andrade was headed to WWE. When Andradeâ€s contract expired, he left.

Heâ€s talented in the ring, but so is everyone these days. Five years ago, Andrade was uniquely special, but now many wrestlers match or surpass him in skill, mic work, and charisma.â€

Melzer compared Andradeâ€s situation to others like Malakai Black, William Regal, and Miro, saying they didnâ€t have long-term success in AEW and mostly saw it as a backup plan.

Meltzer claimed that people close to Andrade said he always saw WWE as more important than AEW, which could cause problems. Meltzer ended by saying that if Tony Khan doesnâ€t learn from these mistakes, heâ€ll keep making the same ones again.

“AEW has enough talent. They donâ€t need— I see everyone like celebrating, ‘Oh my God, this is so great.†When all this… I—He had lots of problems in AEW— also over disciplinary reasons.

One of the biggest problems with this company has been the usage of WWE guys that were not pushed in WWE. As people who know Andrade have told me: heâ€ll always think of Tony Khan as secondary to WWE— no matter what. And thatâ€s—youâ€re asking for trouble.

If Tonyâ€s not going to learn lessons, then heâ€ll repeat mistakes. I hope Iâ€m wrong. But the track record isnâ€t good.â€

Andradeâ€s response makes it clear heâ€s not only motivated in the ring but also ready to defend his integrity off it. So weâ€ll just have to wait and see if Andrade will redeem himself during his second run in AEW.

What are your thoughts on Andradeâ€s response to Dave Meltzerâ€s claims? Do you think Andrade will thrive in AEW this time around? Sound off in the comments.

Bandido isn’t backing down from his upcoming match against the Don Callis Family, despite recently suffering a shoulder injury. On October 3, Bandido defended the ROH World Championship against Hechicero at a CMLL event. During the match, Bandido’s shoulder would pop out of the socket and the masked star put in back in place before continuing the match.

This setback came ahead of a high-stakes tag-team match pitting ‘Brodido’ against Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita. On X, Brody King hoped that Bandido would be able to make it to the match. In response, Tony Khan shared that Bandido plans to fight through the pain and make it to AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday.

This match won’t see any gold on the line, but will lead to a title match. If Brodido win, whoever scores the pinfall will earn a shot at Okada’s Unified Championship. If Takeshita and Okada emerge victorious, the pair will earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday will face stiff competition as the show will air the same night as the ‘Showdown’ between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling. Nevertheless, Bandido remains determined to compete against the Don Callis Family despite his recent setback.
