TNA Wrestlingâ€s Victory Road pay-per-view was a big show for the company. That being said, they also saw a new Knockouts Champion crowned.

Ash by Elegance had to vacate the Knockouts Title during the show, and that was a big shock. However, the title didnâ€t remain vacated for very long at all.

At TNA Victory Road, it was announced that the final two in a battle royal would face each other later in the show for the title. Indi Hartwell was named special guest referee.

Kelani Jordan from NXT was one of the entrants. She and Léi YÇng Lee were the final two. Jordan and Lee were then set to compete later in the show to decide the new champion.

This match finally got going later on in the night, and it had a big fight feel as well. The two got going and really took each other to the limit early on with back-and-forth action. Then they spilled to the ringside area, but the action didnâ€t stop. They got back to the ring where the two tried to best each other with chain wrestling while Indi Hartwell kept a close watch over things.

Things eventually resulted in a shoving match as Jordan came out on top. Then Léi YÇng Lee moved and almost got a pin off a roll-up, but turned it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Later on, Jordan was able to nail a powerbomb to the outside, and then she threw her opponent back in the ring, however, Jordan soon found herself in a crossface from Léi YÇng Lee. Jordan was able to get out of that move and take control once again.

Kelani Jordan climbed to the top rope and nailed a frog splash for a two count. Indi Hartwell took a bump, and she was out of commission, so she couldnâ€t make any sort of pinfall. She came to, but the former NXT Superstar didnâ€t make the three count. The two continued until Kelani Jordan nailed her finisher to win the match. Now the TNA Knockouts Champion is once again around the waist of an NXT Superstar.

We will have to see what happens next, because TNA has a lot of attention at this point. Only time will tell what they do next to spark attention and make some more history?

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Michael Jordan did not arrive at the 13th hole camera tower at this year’s Ryder Cup so much as he appeared.

He was not among the people at Bethpage Black, and then he was. All 6 feet 6 inches of him, draped in white Team U.S.A. gear and burning with a blue flame of competitive fury.

Jordan likes golf, and his biennial appearances at the Ryder Cup have made the inverse true. His sudden emergence on Ryder Cup Friday morning was a cultish experience for the Long Island golf faithful, who delighted in the sight of His Airness riding in a cart alongside the American team, and who clearly believed Jordan’s mythical powers of winning could be transferred into his country’s best golfers by osmosis.

But a problem was brewing by the time he sidled up against the 13th hole camera tower. The Americans were notwinning, and unless Jordan’s powers started working fast, the home team might be in trouble.

Jordan leaned over as Tyrrell Hatton, part of the day’s first European pairing, stared down a 10-foot birdie putt to sink his high-energy American counterparts, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas. Hatton aimed his putter and fired. The ball fell into the hole. DeChambeau and Thomas wilted. Jordan winced.

He was walking away before Hatton retrieved his ball from the hole. But before he disappeared again, Jordan could not help himself. He looked off with contempt, and then he delivered three foreboding words.

“We got problems.”

Ryder Cup’s biggest hero, biggest dud from Friday at Bethpage

The truth was much more damning. The Americans did not just have problems, they had oldproblems. Familiar problems. Problems that were supposed to be solved before the Europeans walked into Bethpage and stole a 5.5-2.5 Day 1 lead.

The truth was the Americans of Friday at the 2025 Ryder Cup looked an awful lot like the Americans of Friday at the 2023 Ryder Cup — and that was the biggest problem of all.

On thatFriday back in ’23, the U.S. went down 6.5-1.5 at Marco Simone on a lopsided morning session and an uneven afternoon session. In ’23, the Europeans revealed a three-headed monster the Americans could not answer in four-ball and could not compete with in alternate shot. On that Friday, the Americans started flat and stayed there, watching as their best players faltered and the Euros holed everything. And on that Friday, the Euros displayed a deep knowledge of their roster’s strengths and weaknesses while the American pairings were disjointed and easily second-guessable.

Two years of soul-searching followed that wicked Friday in Rome. The PGA of America eventually settled on Keegan Bradley as next U.S. captain largely because he represented a “break” from the traditional American leadership. He entered the post preaching change and backed it up by hiring the first-ever team manager and a brand-new suite of vice captains. Bethpage, another home game, promised to be different.

On thisRyder Cup Friday, though, the problems were the same. Much like ’23, they went down after a lopsided morning and an uneven afternoon (though the Americans scraped away another point to merely go down three, 5.5-2.5). Much like ’23, they were trounced by a three-headed European monster (this time it was Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood). Much like ’23, the Euros holed everything and the best American players faltered. And, much like ’23, the American roster decisions — particularly the playing of Datagolf’s 132nd-ranked alternate shot pairing, Harris English and Collin Morikawa — seemed overmatched.

The scoreboard is intimidating, but as Bradley pointed out on Friday evening, it is not eliminating.

“Well, we’ve played 25 percent of the points. We’ve played the first quarter of a football game or a basketball game,” Bradley said. “They went out there and they played better than us today. They made more putts.”

That is all true, but the scoreboard isn’t the only thing that needs to change for the Americans at this Ryder Cup. More than any change in outcome, the U.S. needs a change in spirit.

“0-2 today, pretty disappointed,” DeChambeau said. “I played good golf, just not good enough, and they made everything. Luck is on their side right now.”

Luck, maybe, but the Americans know winning is about much more than luck. They have a few powerful voices in that arena at Bethpage, none more powerful than the man in white pressed against the 13th camera tower on Friday morning.

It was Jordan, after all, who proudly told the world he had “failed over and over again, and that is why I succeed.”

The Americans certainly hope that’s true for this Ryder Cup Friday. Otherwise, Jordan was right: They’ve got problems — and at Bethpage, they’re only getting bigger.

Logan Paul isnâ€t playing games when it comes to his collectibles—especially when over half a million dollars is involved. The YouTuber-turned-WWE-star has filed a lawsuit in Texas over concerns that he may have been sold a fake piece of Michael Jordan history.

According to ESPN, Paul recently filed an injunction against Heritage Auctions after winning a $562,555.42 auction for an 8-by-8-foot section of the Chicago Bulls†United Center court, allegedly signed and used by Jordan during the 1994–98 seasons. The piece includes multiple inscriptions from MJ himself, including “Air Jordan,†“5X MVP,†“6X Finals MVP,†and “HOF 2009.â€

Heritage claims the floor was game-used from the arenaâ€s debut through 2005–06 and backs the sale with certificates of authenticity from Upper Deck Authentication, PSA/DNA, and Beckett. But Logan Paul isnâ€t convinced and wants answers—legally.

His legal team says Paul wasnâ€t given a fair chance to verify the piece before being pressured to pay by the September 25 deadline. His lawyer, Josh Bernstein of Akerman LLP, made their position clear:

“It goes without saying that authenticity is everything in the collectibles community. Collectors like Logan deserve, and are entitled to, proof of authenticity that holds up under scrutiny and addresses glaring holes and inconsistencies.â€

In court documents, Paul points out that the wood design doesnâ€t appear to match the 1995–98 court. The filing also questions whether the floor was resurfaced, repainted, or replaced—and raises doubts about whether the timeline Heritage gave holds up.

Emails included in the court filing show Heritage admitting they donâ€t have documentation linking the piece to the 1998–2001 seasons. Their photo-matching team could only verify the Bulls logo, not the unique wood grain—raising red flags.

A judge has already granted a temporary restraining order, freezing the sale while the case plays out in court. Heritage isnâ€t backing down and insists the item is the real deal.

“We stand behind every item that we sell… This lot would not have been included for sale at auction unless we were fully confident in its authenticity.â€

For Paul, this fight isnâ€t just about one item—itâ€s about setting a precedent for how high-value sports memorabilia should be verified. As the court prepares to hear the case on October 9, the outcome could shape future standards in the collectibles world.

Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars continued on Tuesday night, featuring the first double elimination competition of the year.

The current season of the show features multiple athletes including Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and former NBA star point guard Baron Davis.

Tuesday’s episode contained the theme of one-hit wonder night, as the couples performed to popular songs from musicians known for a single hit. Chiles ultimately moved on, while Davis was eliminated.

Davis and his professional partner, Britt Stewart, performed a samba to “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison late in the show.

The two-time NBA All-Star dealt with a brief misstep during the dance, which was called out by the judges. While he still showed poise throughout the rest of his routine and earned a score of 18 out of 30 points, it wasn’t enough to stay alive in the competition.

Chiles and her partner, Ezra Sosa, took the stage earlier in the evening with a jive to “Maniac” by Michael Sembello. Chiles’ gymnastics background was also incorporated into the routine, leaping over Sosa off the top of the stairs.

They received an impressive score of 22 out of a possible 30 points from the judges, while fans were amazed by the performance.

With Davis eliminated, Chiles will attempt to become the first athlete to win a season of Dancing with the Stars since former NBA guard Iman Shumpert in 2021.

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Long before Luke Donald was Europe’s captain at the Ryder Cup, he was an amateur golfer at Northwestern University in the late 1990s and early 2000s. That time in the Chicago area overlapped with the tail end of Michael Jordan’s heyday winning six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls.

Jordan liked to play golf, the two became friends and remain so, now living nearby each other in Florida. Donald has not let that connection go to waste.

“Michael is someone I’ve been very fortunate to get access to and pick his brain occasionally about what made him tick, what motivated him, how he was able to get the best out of himself,†Donald said Tuesday. “It’s nice to have someone that is a legend of their sport — the greatest ever, quite arguably — to sit down occasionally and pick their brains.â€

Donald expects Jordan, an American, to be supporting the U.S. at the Ryder Cup this week (U.S. captain Keegan Bradley is also tight with Jordan). But one of the lessons of MJ’s career — which came through in the “Last Dance†documentary that Donald watched during the pandemic along with countless others — could help in the captain’s role.

“You can be a team of champions but not a championship team,†Donald said. “You always need the people around you. You’re always stronger being a collective. I think that’s something that I certainly took from him, and I’ve tried to implant on my teams the last two times, that we’re always stronger together.â€

In what was his sixth international outing across all formats, Cox’s maiden half-century easily surpassed his previous best of 17 in an England jersey.

After leading The Hundred in runs scored and being named Most Valuable Player as he helped the Oval Invincibles to a third consecutive title last month, he said he had looked to bring some of that confidence to his international return.

“It’s only a ball coming down, don’t worry about it. Whoever is bowling it, just have a bit of fun and show what you can do. That’s what I tried to do.

“I seemed to do well in that Oval shirt so I just was like ‘come on, this is just franchise cricket and I’m playing for the Oval, just enjoy it and have a bit of fun’.

“That’s what I do when I’m there so why not try and do it everywhere?”

Cox said he has “really struggled” with missing out on a Test bow against New Zealand last winter.

In his absence, 21-year-old Jacob Bethell made his Test debut on the tour and now seems sure to be a part of the squad that will be named this week for this winter’s Ashes series in Australia.

Cox added: “To have the opportunity to play for your country in Test cricket is something that I always dreamt of doing, and am still dreaming about doing, so to get that taken away was really hard.

“My friends and family, the people closest to me, said it would have happened for a reason. If that means I wasn’t quite ready to play Test cricket yet, that was someone telling me I wasn’t ready.

“There’s a reason why I didn’t play; there was a reason why Bethell did and why he did so well. But I really struggled with it.”

Jordan Davis came up with arguably the biggest play of the Philadelphia Eagles season thus far, both blocking a potential game-winning field goal by the Los Angeles Rams as time expired on Sunday and returning it for a touchdown.

Davis, a defensive tackle, is a large man, but he motored down the field to score. After the game, Saquon Barkley joked that Davis showed off some running back speed on the play:

“I ain’t run that fast since my 40-yard dash,” Davis told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo after the contest. “Real glad I got a touchdown, man.”

The 25-year-old has been quite the story to start the season. He was a rotational player for the Birds during his first three seasons, often called on for early downs due to his massive frame, though he often struggled to make an impact against the pass.

But he lost 26 pounds in the offseason and improved his conditioning, hoping to be a three-down presence in 2025. And he was fantastic on Sunday, coming up with several important plays, including stuffing a Rams’ run play on fourth down in the fourth quarter and chasing down Matt Stafford on a third-down attempt earlier in the game.

It was an elite performance for Davis as the Eagles stole another win, moving to 3-0 on the season as they look to defend last year’s Super Bowl title.

Before Salt quickly eradicated any doubt over Wednesday’s result, Ireland would have felt their 196 in the series opener represented a competitive total.

However, after England’s stand-in skipper Jacob Bethell again won the toss and put the hosts into bat, Sunday’s innings was a much more laboured affair.

With the heavy rain overnight ensuring a slower wicket, conditions were always going to make things more challenging with the bat.

But the variation and discipline of England’s bowling played its part too, with their spinners taking six of the eight wickets.

While opener Ross Adair produced 33 from 23 deliveries, before falling to the bowling of Rehan Ahmad in the first over after the powerplay, Ireland’s top order struggled to score at a rate of better than a run per ball.

It took an 123-run partnership from Loran Tucker and Harry Tector to settle things on Wednesday but Ireland were never able to find their rhythm in this series finale.

Only against Baker, whose first two overs brought 24 runs, could they accelerate their run-rate.

It took the arrival of Gareth Delany, who led the way with an unbeaten 48 off 29 deliveries from number, to improve matters – but even on the slower pitch, 155 never felt a total likely to be defended.
