“It’s an honour – for the players to vote for me, when it’s your peers and your team-mates, that really means the world,” said Cox.

“I was pleased how I went in all formats and it’s nice to get your first ever T20 hundred, that was an amazing evening, but in The Hundred I was consistent, which I really enjoyed.

“I love it, it’s my favourite competition and to play at The Oval in front of a packed crowd every single time was very cool.”

“I’m very surprised to win,” said Lamb, who is part of the England squad at the Women’s World Cup. “I wasn’t expecting it but obviously I’m very happy.

“It’s really lovely that my peers have taken the time to recognise my performances this year. It’s such an honour to receive this award.

“It’s been a very enjoyable 12 months. Lots of highs playing with Lancashire this year and winning two trophies. I was gutted I couldn’t be there in the final of the One-Day Cup but it was a special moment watching us win it.”

TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan poses on the ramp with her title before a segment on

WWE

Former NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan shocked the wrestling world when she won the TNA Knockouts Championship during her first appearance in the company last week. On Tuesday, she was named the captain of the women’s TNA team ahead of their Survivor Series-style match at the “WWE NXT” versus TNA Showdown special on Tuesday. It was something former Knockouts Champion and current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne didn’t take kindly to, calling Jordan a “traitor.” Jordan recently appeared on “Busted Open Radio” and spoke about where her loyalties lie ahead of Showdown.Â

“So Tuesday, we got people calling me a traitor on the ‘NXT’ side, but this time, the TNA people had my back,” Jordan explained. “But at the end of the day, I’m the champion. I carry this on my shoulder and my responsibility goes to being a champion, being a captain, leading my team to success. So yes, I’m an ‘NXT’ superstar and it’s always going to be in my heart, but right now, I’m a champion at TNA.”

Jordan chose former WWE stars and new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions the IInspiration (formerly the IIconics), Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee, and another former “NXT” star Mara Sade, formerly known as Jakara Jackson, for her team. She said on “Busted Open” that now, the real question was is she going to be okay with questions coming at her from both sides.

“Because I got TNA people, hopefully they can trust me, and I got my ‘NXT’ people saying I’m a traitor, not understanding I was picked as captain, so what would anyone else do?” she said.

After losing in the Western Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons, Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards sought advice from one of the greatest NBA players of all time.

Per ESPN’s Myron Medcalf, Edwards revealed that he had the opportunity to speak with the legendary Michael Jordan through a mutual connection this offseason to learn how to take the next step in his game.

“[He helped me with] getting to my spots, pulling up, shooting over the defender,” Edwards said Monday during the Timberwolves’ media day.

The 24-year-old added that he received a tip that could help his post-up game this season.

“I think the best tip that he gave me is that most people lean on people in the post with their [butt], and he does it with the top part of his back,” Edwards said, pointing toward his right shoulder as he talked. “So I think I learned that from him.”

Edwards has drawn comparisons from Jordan throughout his young career because of his scoring prowess. He averaged a career-high 27.6 points in 2024-25, but many feel that he still hasn’t yet reached his full potential.

It sounds like Edwards is bringing a new mindset to the 2025-26 season, and the advice from Jordan should help propel him to new heights. However, he made it clear that his relationship with the Hall of Famer is still growing.

“We don’t really have the relationship y’all think we’ve got right now,” Edwards said. “It’ll come.”

Rehan Ahmed, Jordan Cox and Sonny Baker have been named in an England Lions squad that will shadow the senior side on the tour of Australia.

Leg-spinner Ahmed, 21, missed out on the main Ashes squad and instead joins a Lions group that will provide back-up and warm-up opposition for Ben Stokes’ Test side.

England’s only warm-up match in Australia is against the Lions, a three-day match a week before the first Test in Perth.

Ahmed is one of four players in the Lions squad that have won Test caps, alongside fellow spinner Tom Hartley and pace bowlers Matthew Fisher and Josh Hull.

From the 18-man Lions squad, Ahmed, wicketkeeper-batter Cox and pace bowler Baker appear most likely to provide reinforcements to the Ashes squad if needed.

Essex’s Cox, 24, would have made his Test debut in New Zealand last year had he not suffered a broken thumb, an injury that gave an opportunity to Jacob Bethell.

Hampshire’s Baker, 22, was expensive on both his one-day international debut against South Africa and Twenty20 bow against Ireland, but is highly rated.

He is set to be awarded a central contract for the upcoming year when England announce a new list of players in the coming days.

Coached by England legend Andrew Flintoff, the Lions squad also includes promising batting brothers from Somerset, James and Thomas Rew.

Joining Baker and Hull in a youthful pace-bowling attack are Hampshire’s Eddie Jack and Lancashire’s Mitchell Stanley.

Glamorgan pair Ben Kellaway and Asa Tribe are rewarded for their fine form with first call-ups. Kellaway is an ambidextrous spinner, while batter Tribe has played international cricket for Jersey.

Following the game against the England senior side, the Lions play a Cricket Australia XI, a Prime Minister’s XI and Australia A.

Their tour ends on 8 December, the final day of the second Ashes Test in Brisbane.

Separately, Rehan Ahmed’s younger brother Farhan has been named captain of an England Under-19s squad to tour the Caribbean in October.

Flintoff’s son Rocky, 17, has not been considered for either the Lions or Under-19s because of an unspecified injury.

Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons was “pissed off” by having to settle for a 40-40 tie with the Dallas Cowboys and “very disappointed” by his defense’s performance.

Green Bay allowed 436 total yards, but it stayed into the game thanks to quarterback Jordan Love throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Josh Jacobs also had 86 yards and two scores on 22 carries.

“I even told Jordan to the side, you know, ‘Thank you for having our back today,'” Parsons told reporters. “You know, that’s why it’s so pivotal to, you know you play complementary football. Because today, Jordan played like the player he was, and we let him down. We didn’t live up to the level of expectation on defense.”

The four-time Pro Bowler also acknowledged how well former Cowboys teammate Dak Prescott fared on the opposite side.

“You look how precise No. 4 looked tonight, just getting through his throws, getting to his receivers, the timing,” Parsons said about Prescott. “I think he played a better game than we played defense. So, you know, shout-out to Dak, and I told him, I said, ‘You go watch that film. You lucky if you wasn’t on your s–t, it would’ve been a long day, it would’ve been a real long day for you,’ but he played a hell of a game, and I give him kudos for that.”

The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers ended in a 40-40 tie in an overtime thriller at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, as both quarterbacks turned in standout performances.

Dallas moved to 2-1-1 on the season behind strong outings from Dak Prescott and George Pickens, while Green Bay, despite a near-overtime blunder, improved to 1-2-1 behind Jordan Love and Micah Parsons.

Prescott completed 31-of-40 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Pickens, who finished with 134 receiving yards. Jake Ferguson added a score, and Javonte Williams contributed 85 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Jordan Love went 31-of-43 for 337 yards and three touchdowns—all to Romeo Doubs. Josh Jacobs added 86 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Micah Parsons, facing his former team, finished with three tackles and one sack on Prescott.

In overtime, Love nearly spoiled his day by mismanaging the clock, leaving just one second for the Packers to attempt a game-tying field goal.

Green Bay jumped out to a 7-0 lead after scoring on its opening possession, then reached the end zone again to start the second quarter. However, the extra point was blocked and returned by Dallas for two points.

The Cowboys got on the board with under a minute left in the half, then capitalized on a Green Bay fumble to punch in another touchdown and take a 16-13 lead into halftime.

Both teams closed the third quarter with clock-draining touchdown drives, but Dallas maintained a three-point edge heading into the final quarter.

The scoring continued in the fourth as both teams found the end zone on their opening possessions. Green Bay remained within three, trailing Dallas with 4:50 left in regulation and the ball in their hands.

Green Bay connected with Doubs for his third touchdown of the game to take a 34-30 lead with 1:45 remaining, setting the stage for a high-pressure two-minute drill for Dallas at AT&T Stadium.

In classic Cowboys fashion, Pickens hauled in a touchdown pass to cap a 62-second, four-play drive, helping Dallas retake the lead by three.

Green Bay’s Brian McManus nailed a 53-yard field goal to send it into overtime, tied at 37.Â

After an impressive downfield drive, Dallas settled for a field goal to take a three-point lead. Green Bay’s McManus responded with a successful kick as time expired to seal the 40-40 tie.

The Cowboys will hit the road to face the New York Jets next Sunday and the Packers will head into a bye week before facing the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 12.

Kelani Jordan is said to be fine after a scary spot during the Knockouts title match against Lei Ying Lee at TNA Victory Road.

Jordan appeared to be attempting a hurricanrana from the ring apron to the floor, but she hit the back of her head hard on the landing. However, she popped up immediately afterward and continued the match.

Our own Bryan Alvarez reports that the word from TNA is Jordan “seems fine†following the spot.

A clip of the spot is available below:

Ash By Elegance announced she was vacating the TNA Knockouts Championship at Victory Road last night in Edmonton. This led to a change to the lineup as a battle royal was scheduled, with the final two participants facing off in a singles match later in the show to crown a new champion. Jordan then defeated Lee to become the 68th champion in the titleâ€s lineage and the 30th wrestler to ever win the belt.

Kelani Jordan looking up at the TNA Knockouts title

“TNA” has a new Knockouts Champion in “WWE NXT” Superstar Kelani Jordan. She defeated Léi Ying Lee (formerly known as Xia Li in WWE) at Victory Road to become champion.

Earlier in the night, Ash By Elegance unexpectedly vacated her championship. While she didn’t go into detail, she said “I am no longer able to compete and do what I love to do. So with that being said, I’m stepping away from in-ring competition. And with a heavy heart, I have to forfeit this title.” She was originally scheduled to defend her title against Masha Slamovich, who is currently under investigation by TNA for domestic violence allegations.

With the title being vacated suddenly, an impromptu battle royal took place to determine the two women who would compete for the title. Heather By Elegance, M By Elegance, Jody Threat, Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee, Xia Brookside, and Lili La Pescidita competed alongside Lee and Jordan in a match that lasted less than five minutes. Indi Hartwell will be challenging for the title at Bound For Glory and was the special guest referee for the match between Jordan and Lee. Following the match, Ash By Elegance held Jordan’s hand in the air.

Jordan was the inaugural NXT North American Champion and she held the title for 140 days. WWE and TNA have a multi-year partnership. Since the partnership began, NXT’s Jacy Jayne has held the Knockouts title (Ash defeated her last month at “NXT Heatwave”) and Trick Williams is the current World Champion. This week on “NXT”, a TNA invasion began with several TNA talent showing up at the WWE Performance Center.

Kelani Jordan has recorded a history-making win tonight.

Earlier tonight, during the initial moments of the Victory Road 2025 show, Knockouts Champion Ash By Elegance seemingly announced her in-ring retirement and relinquished her title.

Soon after, Santino Marella announced a battle royal to settle the finalists for the Knockouts Title tonight, where Jordan and Léi YÇng Lee emerged victorious.

Later in the night, as the show continued, NXT star Kelani Jordan defeated Léi YÇng Lee to become the new Knockouts Champion. She created history by becoming the first active WWE-contracted female star to win a TNA Championship. Jordan has now joined the list with Trick Williams to hold a TNA title while being an active WWE star.

Special guest referee Indi Hartwell was not pleased with the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling title heading back to NXT and is scheduled next to face Jordan at Bound For Glory.

Jordan is also a former NXT Women’s North American Champion.

We at ITR Wrestling share our heartiest congratulations to Kelani Jordan.

WWE Hall Of Famer Once Wanted To Be Kelani Jordan’s Manager

Earlier this year, during the NXT 2300 show, fans witnessed a backstage segment between Jordan and Hall of Famer, Rob Van Dam. Later, during an interview with B4 The Bell, RVD expressed his interest in managing Jordan.

“Kelani Jordan. I’m on board. We did a really cool little backstage vignette in November or December when I was at NXT for a second.

We both did the splits across the chairs, facing each other. So that’s my answer—I’ll be her manager.”
