It was a bittersweet night at TNA Victory Road as Ash By Elegance announced that she’d be stepping away from in-ring action and accordingly vacating the TNA Knockouts Championship she had won just a month earlier. Within hours, Ash’s former protege Kelani Jordan then claimed the title for herself by conquering a battle royal and Lei Ying Lee. While appearing on the “Battleground Podcast,” Jordan reflected on her Knockouts Championship win.
“It doesn’t feel real,” she said. “It’s honestly like just a surreal moment. I still feel like I’m in a fever dream because I never would have thought in a billion years that I would have an action figure. And also being able to be champion, it’s crazy.
“The day was crazy. I was not expecting that,” she continued. “Of course, I believe in myself and all that, but I was not expecting that. It was my first time in TNA. When I found out Ash was vacating the title, I did feel sad because I know how much she cares, how much she wanted to elevate that title. Also, Ash has a special place in my heart because she was my mentor here in NXT. So I’m happy that I was able to get the title from her and be able to carry what she wanted to do.”
Following her triumph at Victory Road, Jordan faced the first test of her Knockouts Championship reign when she defended the title against Indi Hartwell at TNA Bound For Glory. Hartwell, the in-ring veteran, put up a valiant effort against the former gymnast, but it wasn’t enough to defeat her. Jordan retained the Knockouts Championship by nailing Hartwell with a split legged moonsault.

Shohei Ohtani ended his playoff slump in spectacular fashion on Friday night, hitting three homers and striking out 10 in six innings in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers back to the World Series with a 5-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
As the Dodgers are trending toward becoming a dynasty, Mookie Betts invoked Michael Jordan’s name to describe Ohtani’s historic performance on Friday night.
“It’s like we’re the Chicago Bulls,” Betts told reporters after the game, “and he’s Michael Jordan.”
The Jordan comparison might actually be underselling how amazing Ohtani’s feat in this game was. His stat line is one that has never been accomplished in the history of Major League Baseball.
Even more fitting is Ohtani did that at the same time his postseason struggles were starting to draw scrutiny. He did have a very un-Ohtani-like slash line of .202/.336/.384 in 25 playoff games dating back to last season, though some of his 2024 numbers were impacted by a torn labrum suffered in Game 2 of the World Series that required offseason surgery.
Whatever issues Ohtani was having at the plate, it didn’t impact what he was doing on the mound. His first playoff pitching performance in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies saw him allow three runs on three hits with nine strikeouts in six innings.
The Dodgers have steamrolled their way through the NL to reach the Fall Classic for a second consecutive year. They are 10-1 in the postseason with wins over the Brewers, Phillies and Cincinnati Reds.
Ohtani and the Dodgers will await the winner of the ALCS between the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of the World Series on Oct. 24.
WWE crowns a new Womenâ€s Evolve Champion. AEW heads to St. Louis for WrestleDream. Kelani Jordan retains her Knockouts Championship, and more!
Kendal Grey Wins WWE Womenâ€s Evolve Title
While she came up short in pursuit of an NXT Womenâ€s Championship match on Tuesday, Kendal Grey bounced back with a major win on Wednesday.
On this weekâ€s WWE Evolve Succession special, Grey challenged Kali Armstrong for the Evolve Womenâ€s Championship. Grey previously defeated Chantel Monroe in a number one contenderâ€s match to earn the opportunity. Upon match time, she then made the most of it.
In the final moments, Armstrong ran the ropes with the intention of nailing Grey with a spear. Grey, however, countered it with a match-winning powerslam to solidify herself as the new Evolve Womenâ€s Champion.
Grey, a former amateur wrestler, first signed with WWE in 2023. The following year, she made her pro debut in a tag match at an NXT live event. Since then, Grey has appeared on both NXT and WWE Evolve television. In May 2025, Grey competed in a fatal-four-way elimination match to determine the inaugural Evolve Womenâ€s Champion; Kali Armstrong outlasted the other three to claim the title.
Last weekend, WWE released several other developmental talents, including Jin Tala, Summer Sorrell, Haze Jameson, and Evolve General Manager Stevie Turner.

Kelani Jordan Retains Knockouts Title
Following the news of Ash By Elegance vacating the TNA Knockouts Championship, WWE NXT star Kelani Jordan survived a battle royal and a singles match with Lei Ying Lee to become the new champion. Her first test as Knockouts Champion then pitted her against the number one contender, Indi Hartwell, at TNA Bound For Glory on October 12.
Hartwell fought hard with the Hurts Donut and a top rope elbow drop. In the end, it was Jordan who captured victory when she landed her split-legged moonsault and pinned Hartwell to retain the Knockouts Championship.
Elsewhere at Bound For Glory, Tessa Blanchard defeated Gia Miller. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay) also retained their Knockouts Tag Team Championships by beating Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance.
Fellow Knockouts Mara Sade, Lei Ying Lee, Rosemary and Dani Luna later competed in the 2025 Call Your Shot gauntlet as well. Frankie Kazarian took Jody Threatâ€s spot in the match after attacking her on the entrance ramp.
Before all of the in-ring action, The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) and Mickie James took their places in the TNA Hall of Fame.

Hayter vs. Thekla Set For WrestleDream
This Saturday, All Elite Wrestling returns to St. Louis, Missouri, for its 2025 WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
The card features an AEW Womenâ€s Championship rematch pitting reigning champion Kris Statlander against the former one, Toni Storm. Statlander claimed the respective title by pinning Storm in a four-way bout at AEW All Out, after which Storm said she felt “nothing.†Now, the two will meet for their first-ever singles match, with the AEW Womenâ€s Championship on the line.
Elsewhere at WrestleDream, Former AEW Womenâ€s Champion Jamie Hayter and Thekla will continue their feud in a non-title match. Upon her AEW debut, Thekla attacked Hayter, rendering her unable to compete for multiple months. Since then, Hayter has been out for revenge, with an equally angry Queen Aminata in her corner. Following WrestleDream, Hayter looks ahead to AEW Dynamite on November 12, where she has challenged Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue to a battle inside Blood and Guts.
On the WrestleDream pre-show, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford will face Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron in tag team action. This comes after Cameron saved Nightingale from an attack at the hands of Bayne and Ford on AEW Collision.

Jordan Chiles is once again moving on in the 34th season of Dancing with the Stars.
Week 5 was Dedication Week, giving stars a chance to dedicate their dance to someone important to them. Chiles chose to dedicate her dance to her father, who she said was the one who decided to get her into gymnastics when she was a child.
Most dancers on Tuesday incorporated the person they dedicated their dance to into their performance, and Chiles was no different. Her father joined her for much of her Viennese Waltz, which she performed alongside Ezra Sosa to “Daughters” by John Mayer.
The dance was technically sound with very few errors, and she earned a score of 32 out of 40. Her score likely would have been enough to advance anyway, but the judges announced at the end of the show that each dancer would advance to the next week.
But she had more than just a technical element. It was an emotional performance that certainly pulled on the heartstrings of the audience. Chiles’ father also received some praise for his performance.
Last week, during Disney Week, Chiles performed the quickstep to “Special Spice” from The Princess and the Frog and earned a score of 24 out of 30 possible points.
After another strong performance, she’s moving onto Week 6.
Athletes have historically fared well on Dancing with the Stars, with former NBA player Iman Shumpert and former NFL running back Rashad Jennings winning in past seasons.
Chiles is the only athlete remaining after former NBA star Baron Davis’ elimination, so she’s looking to represent well against the other actors, influencers and other celebrities.
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama named former franchise legend Tim Duncan as part of the best NBA starting lineup of all time.
Wembanyama listed the Hall of Famer alongside LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal when describing his all-time starting five at the 12:40 mark of Tuesday’s episode of LOL Network’s Cold As Balls with Kevin Hart.
The episode aired after Wembanyama debated in September on a live Q&A broadcast on the Spurs’ Instagram whether Duncan or Kobe Bryant would be ranked higher on the NBA’s all-time list.
Duncan, who won two MVP awards and five NBA titles during his legendary 19-year career with the Spurs, has reportedly been involved in Wembanyama’s development since the franchise drafted the star in 2023.
Wembanyama, who missed the end of the 2024-25 season following the diagnosis of a blood clot in his right shoulder in February, has reportedly gained both height and weight while training for his return. ESPN’s Michael C. Wright reports that he has also “added upper- and lower-body strength” ahead of his age-22 campaign.
The 7-foot-4 center will look to follow in Duncan’s footsteps by leading the Spurs back to postseason contention, starting with next Wednesday’s season opener against the host Dallas Mavericks.
As they like to say in the US, dee-fense wins championships. The sentiment is not an exclusively American thing. “Attack wins you games, defence win you titles,†Sir Alex Ferguson once said. And he should know, having won quite a lot of them with Manchester United.
As England look forward to next summerâ€s World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico, the idea has come to resonate, mainly because of how miserly they have been at the back under Thomas Tuchel.
They will secure automatic qualification with two games to spare if they beat Latvia on Tuesday night. It ought not be beyond them given Latvia could only draw 2-2 here with the Group K whipping boys, Andorra, on Saturday. And given England have been virtually impregnable in the campaign under Tuchel.
The table shows five wins out of five with five clean sheets, Jordan Pickford keeping them all. The goalkeeper returned another last Thursday in the 3-0 friendly win against Wales at Wembley, his eighth in a row for England, breaking a record he shared with Gordon Banks. You have to go back a year to find the last England game when Pickford conceded; the 2-1 Nations League defeat against Greece at Wembley. Tuchelâ€s England have been breached in one match – the 3-1 friendly defeat against Senegal in June when Dean Henderson was in goal.
That was no slight on Henderson, rather a reflection of Senegalâ€s superior quality compared with everything else Tuchel has faced. This really cannot be overlooked. Wales are the next-highest country at No 30 while a Serbia team in disarray are 34th. Albania are 66th; Latvia and Andorra well into the triple digits.
Drill a little deeper into the numbers and it is hard to ignore the one about how Pickford has been required to make two saves during qualification; one against Latvia, the other against Serbia. But this is not only about Pickford, rather the unit he anchors. As he was quick to point out, it is about the XI as a defensive collective, starting with the captain, Harry Kane, up front.
It is about good habits and relationships; the setting of standards. If it is not the glamorous side of the game, the one that excites the fans, it remains fundamental. England were criticised for their lack of spark under Gareth Southgate at Euro 2024. Their resilience almost overcame everything as they conceded four goals en route to the final, which they lost 2-1 against Spain.

“What weâ€ve got is that solid base,†Pickford said. “Once we know weâ€re defending like that as a unit, it gives us the freedom to go and create chances at the other end. Keeping clean sheets is good, but if you keep having that momentum defensively, you get better positions on the ball and you create more opportunities to score and win the game.â€
Pickford, who is primed to sign a new long-term contract at Everton, has been the constant in Tuchelâ€s defensive unit during qualification and it feels as though it is John Stones, who is back to fitness, and Marc Guéhi as the preferred centre-half pairing, with Ezri Konsa also pushing. The worries are in the full-back positions.
It seems like a long time ago that Southgate was ribbed for having a right-back fetish. Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier are out of the picture and Trent Alexander-Arnold does not appear to have Tuchelâ€s trust. He is also injured at present. Reece James is the first choice, but his fitness problems are well documented; he, too, is out with an injury. Konsa is in line to fill in against Latvia, as he did against Wales.
At left-back, Tino Livramento started in the 5-0 away win against Serbia in September, which was surely Tuchelâ€s biggest game. As such, Livramento is probably the player in possession of the shirt, although he is another injury casualty. Which leaves Djed Spence, who, like Livramento, has been repurposed from right-back, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who has lost his place in Arsenalâ€s starting lineup. Tuchel has made clear that he needs Lewis-Skelly to “perform at club level on a regular basis … to just be a good citizen in camp will not be enough to stay the whole yearâ€.

Pickford is poised to win his 80th cap against Latvia and he is seeking to play at a third World Cup, having made his name at Russia 2018 with his penalty shootout heroics against Colombia in the last 16. “Every time you get that England call-up, you should be proud,†he said. “My mum texts me every time after the announcement to say well done and congrats.â€
Pickford has had his doubters; those who pick holes in his technique, who say he is not tall enough. But there is a reason why he has remained the undisputed No 1 – his shot-stopping reflexes are excellent and his concentration levels have improved as he has grown in experience. The most recent example came against Wales when he was a virtual bystander for the first 55 minutes and then made two good saves.
“Iâ€m always moving with the game,†Pickford said. “I always stay in the moment when I am not doing anything. My coaches used to say: ‘Donâ€t be bored, donâ€t go trying to invent work, let the work come to you. If there is a cross 16 yards out, donâ€t come and think you have to go and do it because you have not done anything for 15 minutes.†That is something I have definitely learned and there is a big improvement on that side of it.â€
Of Pickfordâ€s remarkable England statistics, one stands out. He has made a single error that has led to a goal – in the 2-2 friendly draw against Belgium in March 2024. He has never let England down. He intends to be the foundation stone for glory.

WINNER: Steve Maclin in 9:00 to win the TNA International Title.
(D.L.’s Take: This was fast-paced all the way through. I was surprised that Frankie’s reign was so short. But it was a good, energetic start to the show.)

Tessa ripped off a turnbuckle pad and pressed Gia’s head into the corner. While the referee was getting rid of the turnbuckle, Tessa hit Gia with a roll of coins and got the pin.
WINNER: Tessa Blanchard in 7:00.
(D.L.’s Take: The match had a lot of moving parts, perhaps to distract from Gia’s lack of experience. Crowd seemed into it though. This appears to be the first part of the feud and they may be building towards Gia’s big win.)
(3) CALL YOUR SHOT GAUNTLET MATCH
The winner of this match earned a title shot of their choice over the next year. A new wrestler came in every two minutes. Lei Ying Lee and Mara Sade were the first two wrestlers. BDE turned a chokeslam from AJ into a cutter. Nic superkicked BDE.
All three of the Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed) entered next. Hannifan explained that Santino Marella said that all three Rascalz counted as one entry. Santino decided there would be two winners. Fans booed. Frankie and Nic argued over the trophy as they walked to the back.
WINNERS: Frankie Kazarian & Nic Nemeth in 32:00.
(D.L.’s Take: As battle royals go, this was decent. Crowd was with it throughout. The dual winners was a cop-out, and fans were clearly dissatisfied. It does give Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth, two of TNA’s prominent players, a storyline going forward though.)
(4) KELANI JORDAN (c) vs. INDI HARTWELL — TNA Knockouts Title match
Indi hugged her family during her ring entrance. Indi gave Jordan a spinebuster for an early two count. The wrestlers exchanged punches. Jordan gave Indi a jawbreaker for a two count. WINNERS: The System in 19:00.
(D.L.’s Take: This was really good and the fans were into it throughout. There were some crowd-pleasing stunts and the System got revenge. It seems like the end of the feud.)
The TNA Knockouts World Championship is still in the hands of an NXT Superstar.
TNA Wrestlingâ€s Bound For Glory event went down on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. A lot of titles were on the line, including the Knockouts Title in a big match.
At TNA Bound For Glory, NXT Superstar Kelani Jordan defended the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Indi Hartwell. The match marked a major crossover moment between WWEâ€s NXT brand and TNA, as Jordan represented both companies while putting her title on the line against a fellow WWE talent.
This match went down after the controversial Call Your Shot Gauntlet ended in a tie. The Knockouts World Title took the stage, and Indi Hartwellâ€s family even flew in from Australia for the occasion. The match also had a big fight feel thanks to the ring introductions.
Indi Hartwell fought hard throughout this match, but Kelani Jordan wasnâ€t going to give up the title without a fight. There were plenty of near falls in this match, even one spot where Jordan kept pinning Indi, forcing her to kick out several times in a row.
Fans were into this match as Kelani Jordan tried to put her challenger away. However, Indi Hartwell had the height advantage, which she used several times in this match.
At one point, Indi Hartwell nailed her Hurts Donut finisher, but Kelani Jordan kicked out at two. After that, Jordan moved out of the way of a top rope elbow, and then she nailed a kick to the face before hitting her Split Legged Moonsault to retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
We will keep a close eye on the TNA Knockouts Division. They are full of talented stars, but only time will tell who rises to the top next.
Whatâ€s your take on how TNA Wrestling is booking their Knockouts Division? Do you believe that they have the title on the right woman? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
WWE
TNA Knockouts Champion, and current “WWE NXT” star, Kelani Jordan has had a very successful start in WWE’s developmental brand since signing with the company via its Next In Line (NIL) program back in August 2022. Jordan was first a gymnast at Michigan State, and while she never initially aspired to become a WWE star, she watched wrestling growing up with her four older brothers. The former Women’s North American Champion spoke on “Busted Open Radio” about her start in WWE and how the company first reached out to her.
“They reached out to me on Instagram about the SummerSlam ’22 tryout,” Jordan explained. “I remember, I told my mom, ‘There’s no way this is real. How is this real? They messaged me?’ And I remember my mom told me, ‘You should do it, you should do it!’ And so me, I did watch wrestling with my brothers, so I was like, ‘What? This can’t be real.’ So, that’s kind of how they presented to me, like ‘Come to a tryout. Try this. You can get a chance to change your life.’ But I already knew what wrestling was and what WWE was. I just literally never thought it would be me.”
Jordan got her first big victory in “NXT” when she ascended a ladder to pull down the Women’s North American Championship at Battleground 2024 and become the inaugural champion. Two more WWE names have signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency, as the company continues to grow its portfolio of pro wrestlers. According to Sports Business Journal, Paradigm has signed NXT star and current TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan, along with WWE LFG season two winner Shiloh Hill. The pair are the first developmental talents in WWE to sign with Paradigm.
Paradigm will support the pair in contract negotiations, as well as with branding outside of the ring and media opportunities. Speaking to SBJ, Paradigm agent Nick LoPiccolo spoke highly of the connection to WWE.
“Paradigm is bullish on WWE talent because the marketplace dictates the demand. If the marketplace takes a turn, we will be at the forefront of that cultural change.”
Paradigm launched its sports initiative in November 2024, after brokering the Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson fight on Netflix. Jordan and Hill join CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Sheamus, Jade Cargill, Liv Morgan, and Alexa Bliss, among other WWE names, to sign with Paradigm.
Both Jordan and Hill are riding high in their current WWE roles. Jordan recently captured the TNA Knockouts Championship that had been vacated by Ash By Elegance. As for Hill, his victory on WWE LFG season 2 has earned the young wrestler an NXT contract.
It remains to be seen what opportunities await Hill and Jordan now they are being represented by Paradigm. For now, it’s clear that the duo are ready to make major moves in and out of the ring.
