At stumps, India were 448 for 5, with Jadeja unbeaten on 104. The West Indies spinners found some turn, but India looked firmly in control and on track to finish the match quickly. Rahul brought up his 11th Test hundred, ending a long wait for a home ton. Jurel scored a stylish 125 for his maiden Test century in only his sixth match, while Jadeja added his sixth hundred, continuing a purple patch of consistent high scores.Each batter had a distinct way of celebrating: Rahul for his infant daughter, Jurel for the Indian Army, and Jadeja with his trademark sword. Starting the innings with KL bhai helped a lot as he kept advising me on what shots to play.†KL Rahul also praised the debutant, saying, “I have spent a lot of time talking cricket with him.
