TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater has suddenly pulled out of two major independent wrestling events this weekend, and all signs point toward a potential WWE appearance at Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event on December 13.
Slater was originally scheduled to compete at wXwâ€s 25th Anniversary show in Germany on Saturday in a four-way match for the vacant European Championship, and then head to the UK for RevProâ€s Uprising 2025 on Sunday. But both promotions have now confirmed that Slater is off the card. wXw issued a statement announcing Slaterâ€s withdrawal, writing:
“Leon Slater has informed us that he will unfortunately no longer be available for #wXwAnniversary on Saturday. We are working on a solution for his announced match.â€
Over in the UK, Slater was set to challenge for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match at RevPro, but heâ€s since been removed from the lineup there as well.
While no official reason has been given, the timing is impossible to ignore. Slater just competed at NXT Deadline as part of the menâ€s Iron Survivor Challenge, and his tag team partner Jeâ€Von Evans won the match to earn a shot at the NXT Championship at New Yearâ€s Evil.
With WWE pushing cross-brand matchups for Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event, Slaterâ€s absence from the indie circuit may signal a surprise NXT appearance on the undercard. WWE has already announced several exhibition matches for the special, including Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi and Bayley vs. Sol Ruca. The nightâ€s main event will see John Cena wrestle his final match against Gunther.
Slater has been gaining traction across multiple brands, splitting time between TNA and NXT, and this sudden schedule shake-up could be WWEâ€s way of integrating him further into the fold—especially on a show that blends main roster stars with NXT talent.
Do you think Leon Slater is about to show up at Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event? Would you want to see him mix it up with WWEâ€s top-tier talent? Sound off in the comments—we want your take.

The former Dakota Kai is getting back into the ring.
Since her release from WWE back in May, Kai has been on a break from wrestling. That will be ending soon, though, with Pro Wrestling Eve announcing that Kai will be competing at its Wrestle Queendom VIII show on March 8, 2026. She is being billed as “Charlie” and is set to challenge AEW star Kris Statlander for the Eve International Championship.

Wrestle Kingdom VIII is happening on International Women’s Day in 2026. The show will be held in London, England at Indigo at The O2.
It remains to be seen if this will be Kai’s first match back or if she will be taking more bookings before then. During a stream on her “charliegirl” Twitch channel this September, Kai said she missed wrestling and would be returning after taking some time away.
“I miss wrestling, you guys. Weâ€re going to get back into it,†she said. “Itâ€s just one of those things where itâ€s been nice to have a little bit of a break. Iâ€ve been doing it for a long time, longer than the last seven years I was with WWE, you know what I mean? So it is nice to take a step back… but I really do miss it.â€
Along with streaming on Twitch, Kai co-hosts a podcast with WWE’s Zelina Vega.
Pro Wrestling Eve is a UK-based women’s wrestling promotion that has existed since 2010. Will Ospreay is involved with helping the promotion behind the scenes.
Wrestle Queendom is Eve’s biggest event. The name of the show is a takeoff of NJPW’s annual Wrestle Kingdom spectacular.

Controversy broke out in the Illinois indie wrestling scene after Bull Bronson appeared on the Ringside Rivalries podcast and later claimed the interview crossed the line. Now, Victoria Sloane, the mother in the mother-daughter duo, is speaking out.
Bronson said the hosts asked sexually charged questions after he told them he did not want that kind of conversation. His comments sparked a wider debate about conduct in independent wrestling media. He addressed the situation on Facebook, saying the interview made him uncomfortable and created tension at home with his wife.
In his live video, Bull Bronson said that he warned the hosts before the interview that he did not want sexual jokes or comments because he was married. Bull said that people knew about his marriage issues, and it should be noted that his public relationship status is now “separated.†He claimed the hosts ignored this and continued making remarks he felt were inappropriate. He then said he tried to stay calm and professional, but now believes he should have ended the interview.
Bull Bronson went on to say his wife contacted the podcast to ask for the video to be removed and was met with a dismissive response. Bronson added that if a male interviewer spoke that way to a woman, it would be labeled harassment, and he expressed regret for not stopping the conversation himself.
Tori Sloane responded by saying Bronson willingly joined the interview and had messaged them in a friendly way beforehand. She claimed she had screenshots showing he was aware of the showâ€s flirtatious tone. Tori also said many wives have been upset at their behavior on the show and that this situation was not unusual.
Victoria Sloane, one of the members of the Ringside Rivalries podcast, logged onto Facebook, where she dropped a video to address this situation head-on.
“For those of you who donâ€t know, I play a part in a scripted podcast called The Sloanes present Ringside Rivalries, and recently an independent wrestler by the name of Bull Bronson took it upon himself to go live on his Facebook page to spread lies about me. Well, Iâ€m here to say enough is enough and set the record straight. According to Mr. Bronson, when you asked us to take the podcast down when your wife approached me and told me that you had left her in the dark, I took it down out of respect to her, but that doesnâ€t mean it was deleted.†“In fact, now, it awaits patiently next to the live video that you put out, and I screen recorded, so anyone who is really interested in listening can compare the two, so everyone can see what weâ€re talking about that every word that came out of your mouth during that live is nothing but a bald-faced lie.â€
Victoria Sloane then mentioned Ringside News†article on this scandal, and how we said that they are not backing down. She doubled-down on that bold statement, and confirmed that she wonâ€t let this situation slide, one where her reputation was soiled by what she claims are lies out of Bull Bronsonâ€s bearded mouth.
She then went on to address some of the comments on Bull Bronsonâ€s post. Victoria Sloane confirmed that her podcast has been used as a scapegoat in the past, but this time theyâ€re ready for it.
“You know what Ringside News? You are absolutely right! Some of those commenters, theyâ€re right, this isnâ€t the first time that someone has tried to use us as their scapegoat. But, Iâ€m gonna tell you, this time we were prepared. It may not be the first, but Iâ€m gonna guarantee that this is the last.â€
Victoria Sloane was not happy, to say the least. She seemed serious, and although no direct threats were laid out, she concluded her video to address Bull Bronson directly by saying, “Bull Bronson, you said that I shouldnâ€t f*ck with me in this industry, but you shouldnâ€t f*ck with me in this lifetime. Go ahead, and spread your lies, and Iâ€ll go ahead and spread your truth.â€
As of this writing, Bull Bronson has not publicly responded to this story. We will keep you updated on any further developments.
Whatâ€s your take on this controversial story out of the indie wrestling scene? Which side do you believe? Should Bull Bronson stay silent or respond? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Controversies can pop up all over the pro wrestling world, and theyâ€re certainly not limited to WWE and AEW. The indie wrestling scene has a lot of interesting characters, and a few of those stories have been quite scandalous. This is no different.
The Ringside Rivalries podcast recently featured an interview that they arenâ€t backing down from, but it still caused a lot of trouble. Indie wrestler Bull Bronson was their guest, and the line of questioning was quite out of line the way he saw things. His wife agreed, and this caused a lot of issues for him at home.
Bull Bronson jumped on Facebook to address this podcast appearance. He stated that the questions that he was asked were not okay, as they were quite sexual in nature. After the fact, he realizes that he should have just hung up the call to end things, but he kept going. Now, he is speaking out about what happened.
“I did a podcast with these two girls, mother/daughter combo, you probably know who Iâ€m talking about. Before the podcast, I told them that they can keep their sexual comments off the air, because Iâ€m a married man, and people know me and my wife are having problems, thatâ€s not the point. I told her that I was married, and I didnâ€t want her talking to me like that, and she went on there and talked to me just disrespectfully and perverted and gross the whole time. She wants to say itâ€s a character, but she was just belligerent about the sexual references in the sh*t she said to me.â€
“I should have told her to f*ck off and hang up on that interview, but I stayed professional and placate it and, f*ck it, trying to do business, but it wasnâ€t business, f*ck it, it was a straight-up sexual harassment.â€
Bull Bronson went on to say that, “my wife watched it, and she politely contacted her and asked her to take it down. My wife didnâ€t say anything bad to her, where she said she felt disrespected. The response she got was b*llshit.â€
In a separate post, Bull Bronson also stated, “If a man spoke to a woman wrestler the way I was spoken to after asking her to not talk like that numerous times, the man would be accused of sexual harassment. Should I have stopped her and quit the call? Yes! But I was uncomfortable and trying to keep professional with Tori, who, by the way, was professional and also tried to get her mom to stop numerous times. Before I went on the podcast and while we were live, I asked her to not speak like that because Iâ€m married, and she refused. I should have held my ground, and I didnâ€t. Iâ€ll regret that forever. That being said, the Sloanes are no longer welcome at Mayhem Pro or any other show Iâ€m on, whether the promoter likes it or not. I will not be friendly or professional from here on out!â€
Someone commented on that post to say, “Sadly, not the first time theyâ€ve done BS to good people. But as was stated before me, you deserve better.†Others have reached out to support Bronson during this time. However, there are two sides to this story.
Tori Sloane of the Ringside Rivalries podcast, who is the daughter in the duo, responded to this controversy on Facebook live. She didnâ€t show any remorse at all for the podcast going this way, in fact, it seems like she had a great time upsetting Bull Bronson and his wife.
“I am sick and tired of seeing people pushing off this and that. I know that you have seen the video from Bull Bronson. Where he talked about doing the podcast with us, Carnage Chronicles, on Monday, on Ringside Rivalries, and he is going on and on about the disrespect. I donâ€t know what the f*ck that is all about.â€
“You came on willing talking to me, and I sent you the link, I have screenshots galore, and I will be releasing those, because of the fact that you sent a message talking about, ‘Oh yeah, me and Brian need to come and kick it with yâ€all. If all goes well Iâ€ll be moved out by the end of the year, things arenâ€t going well with me and the wife. You know?†All things go well you should be out — so you should be happy there.â€
She went on to say that Bull Bronson seemed fine with the topics of the previous podcasts, where they were very edgy. It was also complained that screenshots will be released to back up their stories. She claims that these screenshots will prove that Bull Bronson knew about the flirtatious nature of their show, and he also liked “what they brought to the table.â€
Veronica chimed in while in the background to proclaim that wives get mad at her on a daily basis. To that, Tori confirmed this as she wrapped up her live video.
“Youâ€re getting mad about a comment, when do you realize how many people message Veronica [her mother] message us, youâ€re not the only one. Sheâ€s not the only wife whoâ€s got mad and pissed off.â€
Tori went on to reiterate that the interview was kayfabe, and now Bull Bronson is attacking her mother, Veronica. The podcast was taken down “out of respect†for Bronsonâ€s wife, but that doesnâ€t seem that the controversy is over yet. These two sides certainly donâ€t seem happy with each other.
Whatâ€s your take on this controversial story in the pro wrestling world? Do you think that these girls are going to get any more interviews out of wrestlers? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Los Tranquilos de Japon will not be making their scheduled indie appearance in Germany this weekend.
Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI were supposed to compete for wXw in Limbach-Oberfrohna this Saturday (November 15) on the promotion’s 25th anniversary tour. But wXw announced that, on short notice, Naito & BUSHI have had to cancel their appearance. Those who purchased meet and greets with Naito & BUSHI will have that money refunded, and wXw said the promotion still plans on giving fans a great show.
wXw’s statement regarding the cancellation said the deal for Naito & BUSHI to work the event was identical to the one they made when Los Traquilos de Japon wrestled for the promotion back in September. There were also plans for further collaborations between wXw and Naito & BUSHI, though the statement does not say if those will still be going ahead.
In their own statement, Naito & BUSHI apologized for the cancellation and said it was due to unavoidable circumstances.

“We deeply regret that due to certain unfortunate circumstances, we have decided to cancel our appearance,” Los Tranquilos de Japon wrote. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this has caused to all parties involved.”
Naito & BUSHI have competed in a limited number of dates globally since departing NJPW in May. They were part of Los Ingobernables de Japon in NJPW, with Naito being one of the top stars in the company. He and BUSHI have now rebranded to using Los Tranquilos de Japon as their team name. The two had been hoping to work a United States tour earlier this year, but that could not happen because of issues obtaining a work visa.

AEW
Former TNA executive Scott D’Amore has asked AEW’s MJF if he is still keen on facing TNA’s Nic Nemeth at his Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling [MLP] promotion.
MJF had challenged Nemeth to a match at MLP, but the bout has yet to take place since the AEW star has seemingly not confirmed his participation. In a recent edition of his “D’Amore Drop” column, D’Amore, the founder of the Canadian promotion, once again posed the question to MJF.
“Speaking of champions appearing at Maple Leaf, it’s been a month since MJF publicly challenged Nick Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) to face him in MLP. Are we doing this, MJF?” asked D’Amore.
D’Amore, in the column, also dismissed suggestions that TNA had blocked its stars from wrestling in the promotion, noting how TNA World Heavyweight Champion Mike Santana will take part in one of its events, as will other TNA stars like Matt Hardy. MJF and Nemeth have never faced each other in professional wrestling, and if they were to compete in MLP, it would mark their first encounter. MJF has mostly wrestled in AEW, with occasional appearances in indie shows, while Nemeth, on the other hand, has wrestled in TNA and a few indie shows. Neither star has wrestled in D’Amore’s promotion, which began operations last year.Â
MLP is reportedly seeking a deal for a weekly television show, with the promotion aiming to broadcast it primarily in Canada.
Mercedes Moné is making waves outside AEW by collecting championships across independent promotions—but sheâ€s not doing it just for the love of the game. Her indie rate is steep, her conditions are locked, and thereâ€s one non-negotiable rule: she doesnâ€t show up to lose.
Promoters are shelling out $25,000 per appearance to have Moné wrestle on their shows, and theyâ€re not calling her in unless sheâ€s walking out with with a win. Thatâ€s not just a coincidence—itâ€s by design.
According to Sean Ross Sapp during a Fightful Select Q&A, Monéâ€s bookings are initiated by indie promotions looking to capitalize on her star power and the belt-collecting gimmick that comes with it. But the deal only gets done under specific terms.
“Well, I can tell you the bit of insight that Iâ€ve gained: she could, if they end up paying the rate that she asks for. And as best I know, people contact her management wanting the exposure of her working on their shows and winning their championships.â€
Multiple promoters confirmed to Sapp that Moné wonâ€t work for a company unless she wins, and she doesnâ€t demand full creative control—because thereâ€s no scenario where sheâ€s booked to lose.
“Now, itâ€s not just me saying this—multiple indie promoters have also said this. Theyâ€ve also indicated she doesnâ€t have creative control there either, because youâ€re not going to contact Mercedes Moné to come into your company and lose.â€
AEW is also reportedly strict about her indie protection. Sheâ€s not allowed to take a loss outside of AEW unless she loses there first. As for her fee, that $25,000 price tag is consistent with other top-tier names/
“And AEW would not be okay with her taking an indie booking to lose—unless she lost on AEW TV first. Theyâ€re well aware that theyâ€re booking her to win it all on their own.â€
“The price is negotiated, and then itâ€s done. And as best I know, people contact her management wanting the exposure of her working on their shows and winning their championships. So, I mean, Mercedes is a certifiable draw for these companies—like, itâ€s been repeated many, many times.â€
Mercedes Monéâ€s indie run isnâ€t just about adding gold to her collection. Itâ€s a calculated, high-value operation—one where every outcome is pre-approved, and every title win is part of a bigger play.
