Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Justin Credible has opened up about his past issues with substance abuse and stated that heâ€s been sober since last year.

ECW original Justin Credible reunited with his old on-screen valet Francine in her Eyes Up Here with Francine podcast, where he spoke about his battle with addiction. He stated that it started with opioids during his ECW and WWE days and credited the latterâ€s rehab program in 2011 and the medication Suboxone for saving his life.

He said he hasnâ€t taken opioids since 2011, but stated that he relapsed with alcohol later.

“I havenâ€t taken an opioid since 2011. Something in me said, ‘Well, you know, itâ€s not that bad if I have a drink once in a whileâ€â€¦ that led to me just being a full blown drunk, drinking day and night,†Credible said (h/t WrestlingNews.co).

Justin Credible said his addiction led to legal issues, which stemmed from domestic incidents while being intoxicated. It led to the issue of a protective order, which he violated repeatedly and spent 45 days in prison as a result.

“The first incident was with my father… I specifically said to him, ‘Oh, Iâ€ll kill you.†He called the cops, and thatâ€s a threat. Every time there was a an argument or a drunken fueled debauchery, theyâ€d come and Iâ€m not supposed to be on the property. I spent 45 days in jail.â€

He then stated that heâ€s been sober since December 14 last year. Speaking about how his life outside wrestling is going, Jutin Credible revealed that he is starting a new job at Chiliâ€s in December.

Justin Credibleâ€s most recent in-ring appearance took place on August 2, 2025, when he competed in a Hardcore match against Sycho Simon at a Memphis Wrestling event.

Naoyuki Kataoka entered the week at No. 500 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He hadn’t won a tournament since the Japan Players Championship in 2021. He had just two top-10 finishes this season on the Japan Golf Tour.

On Sunday night, Kataoka stood alone at Nikko Country Club with a ticket to the 2026 Masters and 2026 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in his hand after winning the 2025 Japan Open.

A recent decision by Augusta National Golf Club and the R&A changed the qualification criteria to award winners of certain national opens entrance into their fields. That meant the 2025 Japan Open came with added incentive for those in the field.

Kataoka shot a final-round 68 and then made a par on the first playoff hole to beat Satoshi Hara and clinch the first two major starts of his career. Scores were high at Nikko Country Club. Kataoka shot 70-70-69-68 to finish the 72 holes at three under par.

“It’s really a dream come true for me,” the 27-year-old Kataoka said after the win, via The Japan Times. “I’m really happy to be able to play in the Masters and The Open.

“I’ll work as hard as I can, prepare by April, and do my best to be able to compete. I felt a really strong sense of accomplishment as I finally won again after enduring so many near misses during those barren four years [since the 2021 Japan Players Championship].”

With the win, Kataoka jumps to No. 355 in the OWGR, which puts him right behind Dylan Wu and in front of NIcholas Colsearts. Kataoka is the second player to earn a trip to the Masters and Open Championship since the qualification criteria changed. Marco Penge won the 2025 Spanish Open, which was his third win of the year on the DP World Tour.

The decision by Augusta National Golf Club and the R&A show the governing bodies, at least these two, are shifting their priorities to embrace international golf and its history while adjusting to the more tiered structure of the PGA Tour. Our Dylan Dethier dove into that here.

“The Masters Tournament has long recognized the significance of having international representation among its invitees,” Augusta National Golf Club and Masters chairman Fred Ridley said in a statement. “We, along with The R&A, have a shared commitment to the global game and are proud to work together.

“Today’s announcement strengthens our organizations’ collective vision of rewarding top talent around the world who rise to the top of historic national open championships.”

“We share the same goal as Augusta National to offer places in both The Open and the Masters to players competing in national opens and by doing so to help to showcase and strengthen our sport in those regions,” added R&A CEO Mark Darbon.

The tournaments that now have tickets to the Masters and Open Championships include the Japan Open, the Spanish Open, the Australian Open, the Hong Kong Open and the South African Open.

The 2025-26 campaign will be Jaxson Hayes’ first full season playing alongside Luka DonÄić, but the Los Angeles Lakers big man is hoping to take that on-court relationship to international basketball in the near future.

Hayes told reporters Wednesday he is attempting to obtain a Slovenian passport to join the star guard on Slovenia’s national team.Â

NBA insider Marc Stein noted he would become the team’s naturalized player if he is successful.

According to Eurohoops, the Slovenian Basketball Federation released the following statement:Â

“As previously mentioned, we are exploring the possibility of a new naturalized player in the center position. We are aiming to secure this player for a longer period to ensure the team’s stability in the coming years. At this stage, we cannot disclose names or details. Once all matters are finalized and the procedures successfully completed, we will inform the public.”

Hayes is just 25 years old, so he is someone who could play “for a longer period to ensure the team’s stability in the coming years.”

The Texas product got his first experience teaming up with DonÄić toward the end of last season after the Los Angeles Lakers acquired the five-time All-Star via trade from the Dallas Mavericks.

There wasn’t much time to adjust, but they now have some experience and will be starting a new season on the same team. That should lead to notable on-court chemistry, especially since DonÄić is someone who is so reliant on the ability to get into the lane and then throw lob passes to bigs when opposing defenders collapse on his penetration.

He was dominant in Dallas doing that with Dereck Lively II and will surely look to consistently do the same with Hayes.

DonÄić led Slovenia to the quarterfinals of EuroBasket 2025 before losing to a German team that featured multiple NBA players despite scoring 39 points. Adding another NBA player such as Hayes to the roster will help the Slovenian National Team compete in those high-profile tournaments and not be quite so reliant on DonÄić to carry as much responsibility. Â

That player having NBA experience as teammates with DonÄić would only be an additional boost.

Roman Reigns has learned and stolen ideas from those who came before him, even if they arenâ€t actually pro wrestlers.

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was a recent guest on The Pat McAfee Show. When asked if he learned from people like The Rock or outside greats such as Michael Jordan or Tom Brady as he climbed the ranks to the top of the company, Reigns admits to stealing plays from their playbook as well as some legendary professional wrestlers.

“Outside of talking to Dwayne Johnson, I havenâ€t had the privilege of talking to those guys,†Roman Reigns said. “Iâ€ve definitely studied that. I watched Michael Jordan, Tiger, Tom Brady, all these guys. The GOATs of their sport. Itâ€s an easy watch.

“You can dive into that and look into the psyche of what these guys are thinking, feeling, and going through. A lot of times, theyâ€re going through some shit in real life. Theyâ€re going through personal stuff, which is interesting, because to chase greatness when your life is nuts is a skill in its own right. Iâ€ve definitely studied.

“You take pages from peopleâ€s playbooks. Rock, Cena, older guys like Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker. Everybody has something that they do, ‘Thatâ€s so smart. Where did you figure that out?†You just steal that. Itâ€s just stealing plays. Like football, itâ€s copycat. Take what you like, make it your own, and they are singing your praises.†[H/T: Fightful]

WrestleZone will have live coverage of Crown Jewel later this weekend.

Weâ€ve all seen the movie that played out with Giannis Antetokounmpo on Wednesday before. A new report lights a fire under rumors that Antetokounmpo is eyeing another team — right now the Knicks — but then he comes out and throws cold water on it, calming things down. For now.

Here is what Antetokounmpo said on Wednesday, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

“Iâ€ve said this many times, I want to be in a situation that I can win and now Iâ€m here. I believe in this team. I believe in my teammates. Iâ€m here to lead this team to wherever we can go and itâ€s definitely going to be hard. Weâ€re going to take it day-by-day, but Iâ€m here. So, all the other extra stuff does not matter. I think Iâ€ve communicated with my teammates, communicated with the people I respect and love that the moment I step on this court or in this facility I wear this jersey, the rest does not matter. Iâ€m locked into whatever I have in front of me.

“Now, if in six, seven months, I change my mind, I think thatâ€s human too, youâ€re allowed to make any decision you want, but Iâ€m locked in. Iâ€m locked in to this team. Iâ€m locked in to these guys, to this group and to this coaching staff and to myself.â€

Unsurprisingly, coach Doc Rivers was trying to play things down as well.

“If you read [Antetokounmpoâ€s] comments this summer, every comment heâ€s made is about being in Milwaukee, loving the city, but for some reason. And itâ€s funny, whatâ€s the old saying, you create the story and then you report on the story you created. And thatâ€s what it feels like. And it gets old for us. But at the end of the day, thereâ€s nothing we can do about it, but I can tell you Jon has never called a team about Giannis. That has never happened. And until that happens, you really donâ€t have a story.â€

Notice Antetokounmpo said, “if in six, seven months I change my mind,†which would be next offseason, not him pushing for a trade at the February deadline. Antetokounmpo realizes that trading his $54.1 million salary in-season to a place he wants to be is incredibly difficult and unlikely to happen.

The real inflection point in this relationship between the Bucks and Antetokounmpo comes next offseason, when Antetokounmpo is extension eligible and the Bucks can offer a max deal of four years, around $260 million (or more, depending upon the salary cap). In the past, every time he was extension eligible, Antetokounmpo has used that as leverage to get the Bucks to do more to build a contending team, but he ultimately signed the deal and stayed in Wisconsin. He may well do that again, or he might refuse to sign it and then the trade talks are on.

Until then, Antetokounmpo says he is all in with the Bucks for this season.

With more reports surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo and a possible trade to the New York Knicks coming to light in recent days, the Milwaukee Bucks star reassured his commitment to his current team.

He said that he could change his mind eventually, but for now, he’s “locked in” with the Bucks.

“First of all, I haven’t read that story. When the season starts, I try to get off social media and I try to focus on my craft and the team, but yeah, I’ve said this many times, I want to be in a situation that I can win and now I’m here,” Antetokounmpo said, per The Athletic’s Eric Nehm. “I believe in this team. I believe in my teammates. I’m here to lead this team to wherever we can go and it’s definitely going to be hard. We’re going to take it day-by-day, but I’m here. So, all the other extra stuff does not matter. I think I’ve communicated with my teammates, communicated with the people I respect and love that the moment I step on this court or in this facility, I wear this jersey, the rest does not matter. I’m locked into whatever I have in front of me. Now, if in six, seven months, I change my mind I think that’s human too, you’re allowed to make any decision you want, but I’m locked in. I’m locked in to this team. I’m locked in to these guys, to this group and to this coaching staff and to myself.”

Antetokounmpo leaving Milwaukee seemed like a realistic possibility heading into the offseason, but the trade talks quieted down in recent months. However, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that the Bucks and Knicks had engaged in trade talks in August, and New York was the only team Antetokounmpo would entertain being traded to this offseason.

Charania added that the two sides “never got traction on a deal” and the Bucks “insisted to the Knicks that they preferred not to move Antetokounmpo.” Charania also noted that “those in Milwaukee believe New York did not make a strong enough offer to continue even discussing a trade.”

In May, Charania reported that Antetokounmpo was “open-minded about exploring whether his best long-term fit is remaining in Milwaukee or playing elsewhere.” At this point, it seems Antetokounmpo is willing to start the season with the Bucks, but eventually asking out is not inconceivable.

Milwaukee has exited the playoffs in the first round in three consecutive seasons, and its roster heading into the year doesn’t exactly look like a championship-caliber group.

Antetokounmpo has made it clear he wants to compete for a championship, and if at any point he feels that Milwaukee isn’t the place to do that, he could officially ask for a trade.

He also has a player option after the 2026-27 season, so his potential exit could come then, if not before.

For now, he appears committed to working with the Bucks roster to try and compete in what should be a relatively weak Eastern Conference. While Milwaukee no longer has star point guard Damian Lillard, it added center Myles Turner over the offseason, which will give Antetokounmpo some support in the paint.

WWE legend Randy Orton provided another subtle hint that he’s turning heel soon.

The latest episode of WWE SmackDown saw Randy Orton team up with Cody Rhodes to take on The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. The stars were in for a great challenge and had a heavy task ahead of them. Things were going well until Seth Rollins showed up to ruin the occasion.

However, a subtle tease from Randy Orton suggests the alliance with Cody Rhodes may not be for long.

WWE Legend Randy Orton Could Not Move His Eyes Away From The Undisputed WWE Title

Last week, Orton was seen quite ardently looking at the title before handing it over to Rhodes. The star was once again caught doing the same during a backstage segment with The American Nightmare.

Orton was having a conversation with Cody Rhodes on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown and did not move his eyes from the title.

It was an interesting tidbit into the psyche of Orton, who is unwilling to let his passion and love for the 15th world title go away just yet. The star may have to put his friendship with Rhodes on the back burner and finally turn heel for a chance to win the Undisputed Title.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out during and after Crown Jewel.

This week’s WWE SmackDown gave a heartbreaking update on Corey Graves’ medical condition.

On September 19, Brock Lesnar shockingly took out Corey Graves on SmackDown before Wrestlepalooza. Lesnar was supposed to sit with Michael Cole for an interview, but he hijacked the opening segment and was about to attack him. Graves interrupted to protect his fellow senior commentator, but couldn’t escape the wrath of the Beast. Lesnar delivered two F5s on the retired wrestler, putting him out of action.

Following these actions, fans were curious about a medical update on their favourite commentator, but they received an unexpected one.

Booker T Claims Corey Graves “is Finished”

The October 3 episode of WWE SmackDown kicked off from Cincinnati, Ohio, with Michael Cole and Booker T as the commentators. The show had some explosive matches along with some shocking surprises and betrayals. Right after the contract signing between Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer, and the sneak attack from Giulia, the camera zoomed in on Cole and Booker T, and they had this conversation:

Cole: Booker T with me, here at ringside. Corey Graves still convalescing at home after the attack by Brock Lesnar.

Booker T: He’s finished. He’s finished. He’s done. He’s done.”

This was a shocker for the fans as Graves has been an important part of the WWE commentary team. Be it NXT, RAW, or SmackDown, his voice echoes around during the matches. His sarcastic comments, along with the playful banter with the wrestlers during the show, are what fans love about the WWE star. Cole added some more information about Graves’ return after this, saying,

Cole: He’s not finished. He’ll be back in a couple of weeks, from what I understand.”

This latter part of the conversation gave a breath of relief to the fans who were worried about Graves following the attack. The Miz filled up for Graves on that show as Cole was frightened following the incident. WWE usually takes action against the wrestlers who attack their staff, but there is no official statement from the promotion, nor have they imposed any penalty on Lesnar.

Manchester United host Sunderland tomorrow, sitting 14th in the Premier League table after a continuation of their bad form under Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils slid to 15th last season after Amorim’s appointment – the club’s lowest finish since their return to the top flight 50 years earlier.

Last weekend they lost 3-1 at Brentford, to leave them on only seven points from their first six games of this season, once again increasing the scrutiny on Amorim.

Paul Scholes won an incredible 11 Premier League titles during his time at Manchester United, and still deeply cares about the club with which he spent his entire playing career.

FourFourTwo met up with the midfield legend as we visited a recording of his new podcast The Good, The Bad & The Football with his Class of 92 team-mate Nicky Butt and presenter Paddy McGuinness, and asked him to predict where Manchester United might finish this season.

“I’d take top 10 now,” Scholes said. “It’s not been a great start. They can’t seem to put two wins together. Potentially they could do better, but at this point it’s looking unlikely.”

Asked to choose which summer signing he was most excited about, he said: “Bryan Mbeumo. Obviously, he had Premier League experience at Brentford, he looks a really exciting player and a type of player who should get United fans off the edge of their seats.”

Which player from his great Manchester United team would be the first he’d put into the current team? “I’d go for Ryan Giggs,” he said.

“I think Man United at this moment in time are lacking a bit of entertainment. Ryan Giggs lifted people, lifted the crowd and lifted the players around him.”

Scholes was also asked his views on Amorim’s current predicament, with the pressure ever increasingly on the Portuguese boss after last weekend’s defeat at Brentford.

“You talk about managers being sacked, and none of us like doing that,” Scholes stressed.

“But if he’d have been sacked on Sunday, I think we’d have all been saying ‘Yeah f***ing hell it’s about time, there’s no surprise to it’.

“I think he did have an excuse last year. He couldn’t train – well, he could train, but every three days they had a game. He’s had everything now, they’ve spent £200m and he’s got three weeks in between games to do everything he wants to do and get his style across.

“There’s just no sign of it getting any better, is there? Look, you’d like him to do well but he’s got to win games of football and he’s not winning enough games of football to warrant doing the job at the minute.”

The Good, The Bad & The Football with Scholes, Butt and McGuinness is a brand-new weekly video podcast, available on all major podcast platforms and YouTube. There will be an in-depth chat with the trio about football and their careers in an upcoming issue of FourFourTwo magazine.

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud recently discussed his offseason training trying to improve his quickness, although he is finding it tougher than earlier in his football career (39:33 mark).

During those remarks, the 23-year-old Stroud noted that he feels like he’s “getting old” and that he’s not as fast as he used to be.”

“The program that I was on with [Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Clint Martin] was really good for me. I was in here really early. Just trying to, you know, take a step forward in my…like being 23 (years old), I’m not, like, fully in my grown-man body all the way yet. You know, I’m still growing every, like, every year. And I just think like, I got to just continue to be harder myself about not only just lifting weights but eating the right foods, like, that’s been a big thing too. So, yeah, that’s just a thing where I think the explosiveness comes from, like, being better on my diet, being better with, you know, stretching.

“I feel like I’m getting old. I’m not as quick as I used to be. I was watching my high school stuff a couple of days ago. I was like (180 pounds), and I was rolling. But not no more. But yeah. I try to just be better with that stuff so I can run fast.”

Stroud has notably run more this year (17 carries for 92 yards in four games). Over the first 32 games of his career (two seasons), Stroud rushed 89 times, or 2.8 times per game.

It’s admittedly jarring to hear Stroud say he’s lost some speed at the age of 23, simply because it’s still such a young age and barely into his third NFL season. On the flip side, it does make some sense, as he’s added more weight these days at 218 pounds compared to 180 in his high school days.

As far as the overall picture goes, Stroud and the Texans got off to a rough 0-3 start, with the team scoring just 38 points. However, Houston looked far better in Week 4 in a 26-0 victory. That win was against the winless Titans, but Stroud was sensational, completing 22-of-28 passes for two touchdowns and 224 yards.

The Texans will look for two straight wins on Sunday when they visit the Baltimore Ravens.
