Good flexibility, raw milk and steak are among the secrets behind Erling Haaland’s “crazy goals”, the Manchester City striker said.
The prolific Norwegian has plundered a remarkable 24 goals in just 14 appearances for club and country this season, and has struck in his last 12 outings.
The 25-year-old has shared some of the factors behind his success in the first video posted to his newly launched YouTube channel, @erling.

A 27-minute film follows Haaland in a typical day, from cooking his breakfast in the morning through to a physiotherapy session, training with City and then preparing his evening meal.
“I have natural good flexibility in my groin and my hips which, for me, is so important to keep, because how do you score these goals?” Haaland said, raising his leg to reference some of his more acrobatic efforts, whilst receiving some massage treatment.
“You need to have good mobility or flexibility to score these crazy goals. This is really important.”

On this particular day, Haaland calls at a local farm shop on his way to training at the City Football Academy. Raw milk and several cuts of steak — which he later shows his passion for cooking — are among his purchases.
The channel, a personal venture not connected to City, aims to offer insights into Haaland’s training, lifestyle and interests beyond football.
He said: “People always see the matches, the goals, the celebrations — but not the hours that go into being ready for all of that.
“It’s a bit of who I am away from the pitch, and I hope people enjoy seeing that side.”
Lane Hutsonâ€s first goal of the season, scored at 11:38 of the third period, proved to be the winner as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Buffalo Sabres 4-2 at the Bell Centre on Tuesday.
Oliver Kapanen opened the scoring for Montreal (5-2-0) with his fourth goal of the season after a rush from Ivan Demidov. Kapanen leads all NHL rookies in goals, while Demidov is tied for the rookie points lead.
Juraj Slafkovsky and Jake Evans also scored for Montreal, while Alex Newhook and Nick Suzuki each had two assists. Jakub Dobes made 29 saves for the Canadiens, including 13 in the third period.
Jiri Kulich and Tyler Kozak scored for the Sabres (2-4-0), who lost for the first time in three games. The Sabres pulled their goaltender with over two minutes remaining. Alex Lyon made 27 saves.
Both teams went 0-1 on the power play.
Sabres: Zach Benson assisted on Kulichâ€s goal and now has six assists in three games after an injury kept him out to start the season.
Canadiens: With Kapanen and Demidov combining on the first goal of the game, the Canadiens lead all NHL teams with nine points from rookies this season.
After Montrealâ€s first power play of the game, Dobes made two big saves on Tage Thompson and Benson. Less than a minute later, Hutson scored the eventual winner to make it 3-1.
With his goal, Hutson has nine points in five career games against the Sabres.
Sabres: Host the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday.
Canadiens: Visit the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.
Travis Konecny also scored, Cam York had three assists and Sean Couturier added two as Philadelphia won for the third time in four games. Dan Vladar finished with 21 saves.
Jordan Eberle and Jani Nyman scored for Seattle, which snapped a season-opening five-game point streak (3-0-2). Joey Daccord gave up all five goals on 21 shots through two periods, and Philipp Grubaouer had six saves in the third.
Konecny and Foerster scored 33 seconds apart early in the second period to push the Flyers’ lead to 4-1.
Konecny redirected a pass from Egor Zamula at the right doorstep for his first of the season at 4:59, Foerster then got his second of the night at 5:32 on a power play, tipping York’s point shot past Daccord for the three-goal lead.
Nyman pulled the Kraken within two with a power-play goal at 8:33, but Tippett’s second of the game and fifth of the season with 4:20 left in the middle period made it 5-2.
Eberle got the Kraken on the scoreboard 7:16 into the game, deflecting a shot by Cale Fleury past Vladar. Berkly Catton also had an assist on the play for his first point in his NHL debut.
The Flyers then took the lead with two goals 3:23 apart in the middle of the first period.
Tippett tied it at 9:56, scoring for the third straight game. Sean Couturier took the puck away from Daccord behind the goal line, and passed to Nick Seeler on the left side and he mis-hit his attempt and the puck was redirected by Tippett.
Foerster put Philadelphia ahead with a power-play goal with 6:41 left in the first as he beat Daccord from the left circle.
Kraken visit Washington on Tuesday for the fifth of a six-game trip. Flyers play at Ottawa on Thursday.
WASHINGTON — Tyler Myers and Kiefer Sherwood scored 41 seconds apart in the first period, and the Vancouver Canucks snapped Washington’s four-game winning streak with a 4-3 victory over the Capitals on Sunday.
Washington had allowed only eight goals in its first five games before the Canucks put three past Charlie Lindgren in the first period. The Capitals contested the second tally in which Myers flipped the puck into the net with Lindgren on his stomach following a lengthy goalmouth scramble. But a Washington challenge was unsuccessful, giving Vancouver a power play, and Sherwood converted a rebound to make it 3-0.
Elias Petterson and Teddy Blueger also scored for the Canucks. Down 4-0, the Caps got goals from Ryan Leonard, Jakob Chychrun and John Carlson to pull within one.
Vancouver forward Brock Boeser missed the game for personal reasons.
Washington’s Tom Wilson delivered a big hit on Vancouver’s Filip Chytil in the first period. Chytil went slowly to the tunnel, but it was ruled a legal hit after a review.
In addition to Chytil, forward Jonathan Lekkerimaki also left the game early for the Canucks.
Myers’ goal was the 100th of his career.
Alex Ovechkin remained two goals shy of 900.
Lindgren shut out the New York Rangers in his only other start this season, but Petterson scored 59 seconds into the game Sunday to end any bid for a repeat. After starting the second with a three-goal lead, Vancouver made it 4-0 when a puck bounced off Canucks forward Evander Kane’s skate to Blueger, who was alone in front.
Leonard put a rebound past Thatcher Demko on the power play in the second to get Washington on the board. Chychrun scored during an extended push by the Capitals in the third, and Carlson’s goal with 2:14 left made it 4-3. Chychrun had one last chance in close but couldn’t convert.
Canucks: At Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
Capitals: Host Seattle on Tuesday night.
MONTREAL (AP) — Artemi Panarin had a goal and three assists as the New York Rangers rallied to beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 on Saturday night.
Mika Zibanejad had a goal and an assist, J.T. Miller also scored and Matthew Robertson got his first NHL goal for the Rangers. Adam Fox had two assists and Jonathan Quick finished with 21 saves to help New York improve to 3-0-1 on the road this season.
Juraj Slafkovsky and Nick Suzuki scored in the opening 3:42 of the game for Montreal, and Noah Dobson had a goal midway through the third period after the Rangers had taken a two-goal lead. Sam Montembeault had 18 saves as the Canadiens snapped a four-game win streak.
Zibanejad got the Rangers on the scoreboard with a power-play goal with 8:04 left in the opening period.
New York then scored three times in the first 5:51 of the third to take a 4-2 lead.
Miller tied it 34 seconds into the period and Robertson put the Rangers ahead for good at 4:11 in the young defenseman’s sixth career game. Panarin made it a two-goal lead 1:40 later.
Montreal recalled Owen Beck on an emergency basis before the game and fellow center Joe Veleno also made his season debut after the team announced injuries to Kaiden Guhle, Patrik Laine and Kirby Dach earlier in the day.
Panarin now has 33 points (eight goals, 25 assists) in 24 career games against the Canadiens.

Rangers: Host Minnesota on Monday to open a two-game homestand.
Canadiens: Host Buffalo on Monday to finish a four-game homestand.
It’s the Devils’ first four-game winning streak since a stretch of five victories in a row from Jan. 7-16, 2023. That was two coaching changes ago when Lindy Ruff was behind the bench.
Hughes knifed his way through three Edmonton skaters before beating Calvin Pickard far side for his first goal eight minutes into the second period. He made another nasty move to deke and shoot the puck past Pickard for his second with seven and a half minutes left.
Jesper Bratt scored on the power play off a faceoff and did so with Sweden Olympic coach Sam Hallam in attendance scouting ahead of the New Year’s Eve roster deadline for Milan. Bratt is a good bet to make it as a four-time 20-goal scorer who set a career high with 88 points last season.
Connor Brown, who left in free agency after spending the past two years with the Oilers and helping them go on back-to-back trips to the Stanley Cup Final, took advantage of a mistake by former teammate Evan Bouchard to score one shorthanded. Brown has three goals in his first five games with New Jersey.
All that came after the Devils did not have a shot for the first 11 1/2 minutes. Allen kept them in the game early and did not have to make a ton of quality chances, though he turned aside Leon Draisaitl and Boucher on a power play for two of his better saves.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored twice for Edmonton, and former Devils forward Curtis Lazar added another with 1.7 seconds left after Dawson Mercer had sealed it with an empty-netter.
Oilers: Visit Detroit on Sunday.
Devils: Visit Toronto on Tuesday night.
KELOWNA — Ludovic Perreault scored the shootout winner as the Victoria Royals outlasted the Kelowna Rockets 6-5 in a shootout on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.
Perreault, Cruz Waltze, Nolan Stewart, Heath Nelson and Hayden Moore provided the offence in regulation for Victoria (4-2-2). Ethan Eskit made 31 saves.
Utah Mammoth prospect Tij Iginla, with two goals, Tomas Poletin, Kalder Varga and Hayden Paupanekis replied for Kelowna (3-3-0-1). Iginla, a first-round Utah pick, was making his season debut. Harrison Boettiger stopped 21 shots.
Nelson put the Royals ahead 5-3 at 13:10 of the third period with a power-play goal.
But Varga, with 3:21 remaining in regulation, and Iginla with 25 seconds left, pulled the Rockets even to send the game to overtime.
CHIEFS 3, HURRICANES 2 (SO)
LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Mathis Preston scored the shootout winner as the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2.Â
Brody Gillespie and Smyth Rebman scored in regulation for Spokane (5-4-0), while Linus Vieillard made 30 saves.
Luke Cozens and Shane Smith replied for Lethbridge (2-8-0-1). Koen Cleaver kicked out 32 shots.
MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Tommy Lafreniere and Josh Evaschesen each scored twice as the Kamloops Blazers used a five-goal third period to earn a 7-5 comeback win over the Moose Jaw Warriors.
Nathan Behm, JP Hurlbert and Cooper Moore provided the rest of the offence for Kamloops (5-4-0). Logan Edmonstone surrendered five goals on 22 shots, while Ivans Kufterins stopped all 10 shots he faced in relief.
Aiden Ziprick, with two goals, Gage Nagel, Landen McFadden and Nolan Paquette scored for Moose Jaw (4-4-1). Matthew Hutchison turned away 25-of-31 shots.
OIL KINGS 6, WINTERHAWKS 3
EDMONTON — Lukas Sawchyn scored twice as the Edmonton Oil Kings topped the Portland Winterhawks 6-3.
Kayden Stroeder, Poul Andersen, Joe Iginla and Landon Hanson also scored for Edmonton (8-2-0). Parker Snell made 29 saves.
Jordan Duguay, with two goals, and Alex Weiermair replied for Portland (4-5-0). Ondrej Stebeták stopped 27-of-32 shots.
It looked like City’s hopes of a comeback had been extinguished after just three minutes when, as she did in the first leg, Mille Gejl opened the scoring for Koge.
The former Crystal Palace midfielder took a short corner to Rikke Madsen and latched on to her fellow Denmark international’s cutback from the byeline before steering her low drive into the far corner from just inside the penalty box.
However, City were pinging the ball about far quicker than in the first leg in Denmark and were back level on the night within six minutes.
Captain Amy Muir set Nicole Kozlova down the left wing and the former Koge player’s low ball into the penalty box was fired home by strike partner Abby Harrison.
A couple of fine saves from goalkeeper Lee Gibson denied the visitors before City were back level on aggregate on 25 minutes when Emily Whelan headed powerfully home after left-back Muir crossed to the back post.
City’s joy only lasted two minutes as veteran former Manchester City and Denmark forward Nadia Nadim turned in from the left wing and sent a right-foot drive looping over Gibson and into the far corner.
Glasgow were ahead again on the night when Harrison rose with visiting goalkeeper Ema Aleksic to meet a Lisa Evans corner and the ball deflected off Emma Pelkowski and into her own net.
Fellow midfielder Sarah Thygesen pounced on an Emma Brownlie error to slot what looked like a killer strike for the Danes six minutes from the end of normal time.
However, Brownlie made amends by rising to meet another Evans corner and level the score on aggregate as the game entered added time.
Just when it looked like extra time might be needed, Lisa Forrest headed a cross from fellow substitute forward Sofia Maatta over the stranded goalkeeper to signal joyous scenes among the home support and tears from the stunned visitors.
Glasgow City: Gibson, Brownlie, Golob, Smit, Muir, Motlhalo, Lauder, Evans, Whelan, Kozlova, Harrison.
Substitutes: Clachers, Warrington, McLaughlin, Forrest, Lockwood, Wróbel, Anderson, Määttä, Tanaka, Boyes.
Koge: Aleksic, Markvardsen, Uhre, Brandt, Schultz, Korhonen, Gejl, Jereko, Lacho, Nadim, Madsen.
Substitutes: Vingum, Moller, Ruedt, Huisman, Pelkowski, Garcia, Thygesen, Oskarsdottir, Simonsen, Callesen, Luplau, Briggs.
Kaedan Korczak also scored for the Golden Knights (2-0-2) and Tomas Hertl added an empty-net goal with seven seconds left.
Starting goalie Adin Hill stopped eight of 10 shots in the first period and didn’t return for the second because of a lower-body injury. Akira Schmid turned away all 19 shots he faced in relief.
Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman scored for the Flames (1-3-0). Dustin Wolf made 26 saves in the loss.
Eichel scored his second of the game at 6:38 of the third period. He drove by Flames defenceman Daniil Miromanov to shovel the puck past Wolf.
Korczak pulled the visitors even at 4:11 of third period when he stepped into a shot that beat Wolf stick side.
Eichel halved a two-goal deficit midway through the second period when he poked his own rebound past Wolf.
Coleman made it 2-0 for the Flames at 12:10 of the opening period when he gained the puck off a heavy Calgary forecheck and wired the puck by Hill’s glove.
Backlund and Flames defenceman Mackenzie Weegar combined on a give-and-go on the first goal of the game at 7:32. Weegar faked a shot and dished to Backlund, who snapped a sharp-angled shot past Hill.
Golden Knights: Vegas has been outscored 5-1 in first periods so far this season. Mitch Marner is still looking for his first goal as a Golden Knight, although he recorded his third and fourth assists on Tuesday.
Flames: The Flames have been outscored 6-2 in third periods to start this season. Jonathan Huberdeau participated in the optional pre-game skate, but wasn’t in the game lineup. The highest-paid player on the Flames, at a cap hit of US$10.5 million, hasn’t played since he was injured in the pre-season. Miromanov made his season debut Tuesday with Weegar as his defensive partner.
Vegas exploited a sagging Calgary defence with two goals in a span of two minutes, 27 seconds early in the third period.
Eichel has four goals and five assists, and Mark Stone has six assists in four games to start the season.
Golden Knights: Host the Boston Bruins on Thursday.
Flames: Travel to Salt Lake City on Wednesday to face the Utah Mammoth in their home opener.
Brayden Schenn contributed a goal and an assist for the Blues (2-1-0), while Nick Bjugstad buried his first of the season and Jake Neighbours added an empty-net strike with 2:13 left on the game clock.
Goalie Jordan Binnington stopped 29 of the 31 shots he faced as St. Louis won its second game in a row.
Kiefer Sherwood scored both Vancouver goals, including a short-handed tally on a breakaway midway through the second period.
Kevin Lankinen, making his first start of the season, registered 30 saves for the Canucks (1-2-0).
Blues centre Pius Suter made his return to Vancouver, where he played the last two seasons before signing with St. Louis as a free agent on July 2.
Canucks: The home side came into the game with a perfect penalty kill, but saw the streak snapped 8:13 into the second when Snuggerud popped a shot in past Lankinen on a St. Louis power play. Vancouver has killed 12-of-13 infractions to start the 2025-26 campaign.
Blues: Snuggerud led the Blues offence with six shots. The 21-year-old rookie now has seven points (three goals, four assists) across 10 regular-season NHL games to start his career.
Less than two minutes after Sherwood cut Vancouver’s deficit to a single goal with a short-handed tally, Bjugstad replied for the Blues. The centre fired a rocket from inside the top of the faceoff circle 13:45 into the second to make it 4-2 for St. Louis.
The Canucks’ power play went 0-for-1 on Monday, and is now 0-for-7 to start the season.
Blues: Host the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.
Canucks: Kick off a five-game road trip against the Stars in Dallas on Thursday.
