For the first time in ROH history, the Men’s World Champion was determined in a Survival of the Fittest match. Bandido defended and retained his title against Sammy Guevara, The Beast Mortos, Komander, Blake Christian, and Hechicero.
Earlier in the night, Guevara and Mortos claimed the vacant tag titles with the help of Hechicero. The three had formed an alliance ahead of this match. Bandido and Komander formed an alliance as well. Christian was the only one without an alliance. Everyone brawled on the outside, except for Christian after the bell rang. When he eventually made it to the ring, Hechicero and Mortos attempted to double team him. He then brawled with Guevara. Christian landed a Spanish Fly on Guevara and Mortos landed a slingblade and gut wrench on Christian. LFI and Hechicero held their hands up in the air when LFI turned on Hechicero and double teamed him while everyone else was laid out on the outside. Bandido and Komander double teamed LFI and Hechicero. Christian dove on Hechiero and wanted to form an alliance, but Bandido and Komander hit him with stereo kicks to the gut. Bandido took out Hechicero and Christian with a tornillo before Komander used Bandido’s shoulders to take them out. Bandido walked across the ring with Hechicero on his shoulders to dive on Hechicero, Christian, and Guevara. Bandido did a Fosbury Flop on Mortos. Komander and Bandido stared each other down before taking on Christian.
Komander did a hurricanrana on Hechicero before turning his sights to Bandido. Guevara interrupted and they double teamed him and eliminated Guevara. Mortos took on Komander, Christian, and Hechicero. Komander landed a poisonrana on Mortos and Bandido took him out. Christian used Komander and Bandido’s shoulders to land a Destroyer. Hechicero pinned Mortos to eliminate him. He attempted to eliminate Komander and Bandido. Christian broke up the pin so Bandido wouldn’t be eliminated.

They took turns trying to pin each other. Bandido with a poisonrana from the apron on Hechicero. Bandido sent Christian onto Hechicero. Bandido puts Christian back in the ring and landed a Frog Splash, but Christian got a shoulder up. Bandido landed the 21 Plex. Christian with Lethal Injection on Bandido, but he got a shoulder up. He hit another Lethal Injection, but was caught and hit with X Knee. Hechicero with a spinning hammerlock into a neckbreaker. Bandido did a Code Red to eliminate Christian. He attacked Bandido’s shoulder afterwards. Bandido is writhing around in pain on the floor. Hechicero continued to work his shoulder. He attempted to get to Bandido, but Doc Sampson and the ref kept him away. Bandido eventually got back in the ring. Hechicero tried to bring a chair, but the ref stopped him.
Back in the ring, they exchanged chops until Hechicero kicked him in the face. They attack each other in the corner. Hechicero suplexed Bandido on the apron. He pulled the steps on its side before putting Bandido on the apron. Bandido fought him off briefly. Hechicero hit him with a knee strike on the stairs and Hechicero dove on him, but Bandido rolled out of the way before hitting a tornillo. Bandido followed with a Shooting Star Splash, but Hechicero kicked out. Bandido chopped Hechicero before he dumped Bandido on his shoulder and then rolled him around and attempted to pin him. Bandido connected with a poisonrana and locked Hechicero’s arms between his legs to pin him and retain the title.
Brody King came out to celebrate afterwards. He celebrated with a young fan. Komander also came to celebrate.

La Faccion Ignobernable now has gold again as Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos are the new ROH World Tag Team Champions, thanks to help from Hechicero. They defeated Tommy Billington and Adam Priest.
Last week, Guevara and RUSH had to vacate their tag team championships due to an injury to RUSH. RUSH was originally set to face Bandido for the ROH World Championship. The match will now be a Survival of the Fittest match for Bandido’s title that will include Guevara and Mortos, along with Hechicero, Blake Christian, and Komander.
Priest and Billington took Mortos down with a combination suplex and lariat. They attempted to follow with a double suplex, but Mortos threw them off. Priest connected with a hurricanrana. While Hechicero is a member of the Don Callis Family, he formed an alliance with Guevara and Mortos for the Survival of the Fittest match that he’s also in. That alliance spilled over into the tag title match as he shoved Priest to the floor while Guevara low blowed Billington. Mortos landed a moonsault on Billington for the win and to become the new champions.
They’re not the only new champions. Deonna Purrazzo won the inaugural Women’s Pure Championship while Red Velvet became the first two-time Women’s TV Champion.
Mercedes Moné just took her first major loss since joining Ring of Honor, dropping the Womenâ€s World Television Championship to Red Velvet at Final Battle.
The loss marks the first title Moné has relinquished in her post-WWE run—and now sheâ€s down to 12 career championships.
The match carried plenty of backstory. Moné captured the interim ROH Womenâ€s World TV Title while Velvet was sidelined with a serious neck injury and shoulder dislocation. The two eventually collided in a high-profile unification match on AEWâ€s Dynamite/Collision special, where Moné came out on top to become the undisputed champion.
But at Final Battle, Red Velvet got her shot at redemption—and made it count. After a physical battle, Moné locked in her submission finisher, the ‘Statement Maker,†appearing to have the match in hand. Velvet, however, managed to use her ring awareness to bounce off the ropes and flip the submission into a deep pinning combination. The referee counted three before Moné could escape.
Just like that, Velvet reclaimed the title she never technically lost, and Monéâ€s undefeated ROH title streak came to a sudden end. While Moné still holds multiple accolades across promotions, this moment resets her momentum and shakes up the ROH womenâ€s division. Red Velvet now leads the division as undisputed champion, while Moné is left to regroup after a shocking first title loss.
Do you think Mercedes Moné will bounce back stronger after this loss? Or is Red Velvet now the new face of ROHâ€s womenâ€s division? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know what you think.

LA Knight gave a stern warning to Gunther ahead of their Last Time Is Now Tournament finals on WWE SmackDown.
The December 5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured one of the most important weekly matches in the history of WWE. The Finals of the Last Time Is Now Tournament between Knight and Gunther was scheduled for the night in the main event. Right after Ilja Dragunov’s US title open challenge against Carmelo Hayes, Knight appeared backstage with Cathy Kelley, who had sharp words for the Ring General ahead of their match.
LA Knight Warns Gunther Before Last Time is Now Tournament Finals on SmackDown
Knight, in all confidence, appeared for the backstage interview. Kelley asked him about facing multiple mystery opponents in the tournament and still succeeding and reaching the finals, but now, as he faces Gunther, how sure he is of his victory. Knight gave a brilliant answer,
I don’t want repeat myself too much, but I’ve already said before. I’ll say it again. As far as dream opponents things like that. I
don’t really care about that. What I care about is if I beat John Cena, that means I cement my legacy. Now, there’s one man standing in my way, but the last time is now. The last time is now for either me or for Gunther. Now you got to think about it. Gunther is a former intercontinental Champion. He’s a former world heavyweight champion, but you don’t understand. You’re looking in the eyes right now of an unstoppable force. Something you ain’t never seen before. Something you ain’t ready for. So I tell you what Gunther, it’s gonna be a bit of a fight.
And if it’s a fight you want? Alright, alright, alright. You can get dropped on your head, like all the rest, with everybody saying. L! A! Knight! YEAH!” (0:16 – 1:16)
The last time is NOW!

— WWE (@WWE) December 6, 2025
Knight began the tournament against his first mystery opponent, Zack Ryder, and overcame the challenge to proceed to the next round. He was scheduled to face Sheamus, but the Celtic Warrior ended up getting injured and replaced by another mystery opponent, who turned out to be The Miz. Knight overcame the Awesome One and faced Jey Uso, beating him surprisingly.
Now, just one last obstacle remains in his way: Gunther, and it would be interesting to see who wins the match or what chaos erupts during the finals, and who goes on to retire John Cena on Saturday, December 13.

There has been a lot of talk in the wrestling circles about the potential presence of Vince McMahon for John Cena‘s last WWE match. It is no secret that Cena and McMahon were very close and that the former CEO treated the GOAT like his own child. As a matter of fact, Cena has gone on record to hail Vince McMahon on a number of occasions. McMahon himself has not been seen in WWE since the Janel Grant saga broke, with the company also cutting ties with him. Now, there has been an update on whether Mr McMahon will be present for John Cena’s last-ever match.
Vince McMahon ‘Increasingly Unlikely’ To Attend John Cena’s Last WWE Match

The former WWE owner could very well make an appearance in the stands, as it was “not impossible”, according to Alvarez. However, he reiterated that it was “unlikely.”

The tight relationship between John Cena and Vince McMahon has been well publicized with Cena saying earlier this year that he still loves McMahon and doesn’t care who hears it.
That has led to speculation as to whether McMahon will be in attendance next Saturday when Cena wraps up his storied WWE career on Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, DC.
Our Bryan Alvarez reported Thursday that the current feeling that the chances McMahon attends are “increasingly unlikely — not impossible, but unlikely.”
McMahon’s last on-screen appearance came in June 2022 when he coincidentally introduced Cena in recognition of his 20th anniversary during an episode of Raw. The former TKO chairman has been working on his new company 14+I, a private investment firm with a focus on sports, media and entertainment.
The sexual misconduct & trafficking lawsuit filed against McMahon and WWE by Janel Grant in January 2024 is still ongoing as is the “ring boys” lawsuit against McMahon and his wife, Linda, claiming they were aware of the sexual abuse of young boys in the 1980s by the late ring announcer and crew chief Mel Phillips and failed to do anything about it.

AEW President Tony Khan spoke with the wrestling media on Thursday, December 4, 2025, to promote Fridayâ€s ROH Final Battle pay-per-view.
Tony Khan said heâ€s had chances to put ROH on TV with good media partners, but AEW is the main priority because of its $500 million deal. He doesnâ€t expect ROH to get the same kind of deal, but any TV deal for ROH needs to make sense and be the right fit. He confirmed there has been interest. Tony Khan added that HonorClub still brings in solid revenue, even without a TV deal.
When asked if Zayda Steel has signed with AEW or ROH, Tony Khan said to “stay tuned.†He called a potential match between Steel and Leila Grey an “interesting match,†hinting that an announcement could be coming soon, possibly for Fridayâ€s Final Battle event.
Tony Khan said the best part of buying Ring of Honor was getting the Briscoes. He compared it to Jim Crockettâ€s acquisition of the UWF, saying the best thing he got out of that deal was Sting.
Tony Khan joked that the “secret†to good booking is doing tapings. He said he enjoys them because they save money and help prevent injuries, among other benefits. He also called this year the “most complete†and best year for ROHâ€s TV and streaming specials since he took over the company.
Tony Khan was asked about using a Jack Harlow song for Blake Christianâ€s entrance. He said thereâ€s been no real progress so far—just “1% approval.†Khan joked that if he can get the other 99% of stakeholders on board, heâ€ll make it happen.
When asked about Nick Wayne and the possibility of an interim ROH Menâ€s TV Title, Tony Khan said the timeline on Wayneâ€s injury changed. He admitted he wouldâ€ve bet money that Wayne would be back before Final Battle, and if that had happened, they wouldâ€ve gone with an interim title. Khan added that Wayne is getting closer to returning.
Tony Khan confirmed that Queen Aminata is still injured, which is why her ROH Womenâ€s Pure semifinal match against Deonna Purrazzo didnâ€t take place. As a result, Purrazzo advances to the final by forfeit and will face either Billie Starkz or Yuka Sakazaki this Friday.
