Tyler Breeze believes one of his most popular gimmicks was killed by accident.

Prince Pretty was recently a guest on In The Weeds podcast. Among other things, he told the origin story of the Fashion Files skits with his former partner Fandango, that became widely popular at one point before being pulled off the air abruptly.

According to the former NXT star, the gimmick was not something that was pitched by writers. The whole thing was born out of the duo’s desire to do something to get back on TV. They used spare cameras available in the social media department to film some early vignettes they released online.

Fandango and Breeze got their wish as the duo were put back on SmackDown when the skits went viral. Though, despite the big numbers on social media, Vince McMahon was seemingly never a fan of the whole thing:

“To this day, I think it got cancelled by accident because there was a pay-per-view coming up, and we werenâ€t booked on it, but they had a Fashion Files. So Vince said, ‘Why do we have one?

Like, why are we doing this? Because they donâ€t have a match on the pay-per-view, so why are we doing it?—

That Was The End Of It: Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze explained that it was the SmackDown head writer at the time who put them on the show. McMahon originally questioned their presence on the episode, but decided to keep the skits going upon learning that it was their best-performing social media video of the week.

After the incident of the PPV, however, the members of the creative team freaked out. They misinterpreted the boss’ directions and killed the whole thing:

“And I think all the writers freaked out, and they went, oh God, he hates it. Never do it again. Then we never did another one after that. And that was the end of it.

And I was pretty sure it was just a mistake. Iâ€m pretty sure he just said donâ€t do it before a pay-per-view where theyâ€re not wrestling.”

Overall, the Fashion Police gimmick lasted about eight months before being retired quietly. You can check out their first SmackDown vignette below:

Sometimes a WWE Superstar will get injured outside of the ring, and the company has to deal with it. They handled things uniquely with Jacob Fatu.

WWE SmackDown went down at the SAP Center in San Jose, California on October 17. Sadly, that episode included getting Jacob Fatu off television, and that absence could be a longer one.

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis opened up the show this week by stating that Drew McIntyre versus Jacob Fatu is now a #1 contender match for Cody Rhodes†Undisputed WWE Championship. Then Cody came out to a roar from the crowd.

Cody Rhodes addressed his WWE Crown Jewel loss, but then he moved it along by saying that he will handle SmackDown business. He then hyped the upcoming #1 contenders match, including Jacob Fatu in San Jose, as those fans cheered big time for their hometown boy.

Later on in the night, Jacob Fatu had a backstage segment with Cody Rhodes, where he promised to show him the real meaning of “ghost ride the whip,†after he beats Drew McIntrye. Rhodes seemed down to face Fatu as he said, “I hope youâ€re right.â€

Later on, right before the main event started, Jacob Fatu didnâ€t make it to the ring. Instead, he was shown pinned to the ground under a bunch of production equipment, bleeding from his mouth.

The show cut to commercial after that, as WWE SmackDown personnel flocked to Jacob Fatu as he laid bleeding on the ground. This was a shocking move, but it also wrote him out of the storyline, and itâ€s likely he will be out of action for the rest of the year. After that, Drew McIntyre took to the ring as Jacob Fatu was left injured backstage.

Fans were shocked to hear that Jacob Fatu was sidelined due to a non-wrestling related injury. He will be out of action for some time now. That certainly halted his momentum just as he was really picking up steam.

It was later revealed that Cody Rhodes was set to replace Jacob Fatu during tonightâ€s SmackDown. That was a shame for fans who wanted to see the Samoan Werewolf do his thing.

Whatâ€s your take on Jacob Fatuâ€s WWE absence? Will you miss seeing him on television? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Angel Reese and Suni Lee made history on Wednesday.

The WNBA star and United States gymnastics star walked the stage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York, becoming the first athletes to ever participate in the event.

Reese walked down the stage while Madison Beer, the girlfriend of Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, performed. Lee came out a few moments later.

Reese announced last week that she had been selected to participate in the event.

Reese attended the event last year and knew it was something she wanted to do at some point in her career.

“I literally could not stop smiling!” the two-time All-Star told People‘s Catherine Santino and Hedy Phillips. “It’s such a surreal and full-circle moment — just last year I was in the audience manifesting being on that runway, completely inspired and in awe of all the powerful women walking down the runway, and now I get to return as an Angel. This will be an unforgettable night that I’ll forever be grateful for.”

Reese is obviously most known for her WNBA career, but she’s emerged as a fashion icon as well, showing off her outfits in the tunnel before games.

Both Reese and Lee have made history in their respective sports, and now they’ve made history on the runway as well.

After a 4-1 victory in Ottawa against the Senators Monday afternoon, the Nashville Predators faced their first test of finishing a back-to-back on the road.

Tuesday night, the Preds traveled to Toronto for the second of a four-game swing through Canada. They fought hard, but came up short in a 7-4 loss to the Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena.

Jake McCabe, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, John Tavares, Bobby McMann, Auston Matthews (2) and William Nylander scored for the Maple Leafs.

Michael McCarron, Erik Haula, Roman Josi and Nick Perbix tallied the Preds’ goals. Josi scored his first goal in nine months after coming back from an upper-body injury and a POTS diagnosis.

The Maple Leafs were coming off two consecutive losses to the Detroit Red Wings, and took out their frustrations on the Predators. They built a 2-0 lead before the Preds roared back early in the second with two goals in 44 seconds to tie the score.

The Leafs answered with three goals of their own and staved off a spirited comeback by the Predators, who suffered their first loss in regulation and fall to 2-1-1 for the season.

“A little bit slow early, but we got to our game in the second period,” Preds Head Coach Andrew Brunette said during his media availability after the game. “I thought we played fast, thought we got in there, and we had some opportunities.”

Brunette scratched Brady Martin for the second game in a row. He told reporters earlier in the day this was part of Martin’s development plan.

With Martin sitting, Tyson Jost skated on a line with Filip Forsberg and Ryan O’Reilly. Ozzy Wiesblatt made his season debut and collected two assists on the night.

Here are three takeaways from the game.

The Preds Showed A Lot Of Heart

Toronto was desperate to play well in front of the home crowd, and showed it in the opening period.

The Preds couldn’t register a shot through the first six minutes, but finally began narrowing the gap and ended the frame with eight shots to Toronto’s nine. Problem was, two of the Leafs’ shots went into the net, and built a 2-0 lead.

The second period saw the Preds outshoot the Leafs 14-6, with McCarron and Haula bringing them even 2-2 with goals just 44 seconds apart.

Once again, Toronto refused to give in, and the Preds found themselves sinking in quicksand despite showing grit throughout the game.

“Probably gave up a little bit more than we wanted to…a couple weird bounces for them, but in saying that, we maybe shot ourselves in the foot a little bit,” McCarron said. “We gave up too many chances against. At the same time, we scored four goals, good PK. You’re going to run into some good teams here.”

The two teams traded a total of four goals in the final four minutes of the game. The Preds tallied eight goals in their first two road games, twice the number they scored in the first two home games combined. They left Toronto without a win, but didn’t allow the Leafs to run away from them.

Big Juice Was Outdueled

Oct 14, 2025; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann (74) shoots the puck against Nashville Predators goalie Justus Annunen (29) in the third period at Scotiabank Arena. Dan Hamilton-Imagn Images

It was a battle of the backup goalies, with Justus Annunen getting his first start of the young season. Cayden Primeau was in net for the Leafs.

It was Primeau who came out on top, stopping 22 of 26 shots. Annunen saved 18 of 23 Leafs shots.

While Annunen kept the game from getting completely out of hand, he was out of position on McMann’s goal after Brady Skjei made a great defensive play on the initial shot. That gave the Leafs their two-goal lead back after the Predators had worked hard to get back in the game.

“There were times when I thought we carried the play and we looked great,” Perbix said. “We were pressing on them, leaning on them, and then we just kind of gave something up. There’s a team over there (that will) capitalize on almost every opportunity you give them. So we’ve got to tighten that up.”

Juuse Saros has been virtually unstoppable through his first three games, posting a 2-0-1 with a 1.64 goals-against average and .947 save percentage. No one is expecting Annunen to be Saros’s equal, and the No. 1 guy has to be rested once in a while.

One game is too small a sample size to judge, but Big Juice will need to have some big games to keep hopes of a turnaround season alive for the Preds.

The Power Play Has Lost Power

Stop us if you’ve read this before: the Preds’ power play was stalled again.

The unit seems to be more inclined to pass rather than take a shoot-first approach. They’re failing to get penetration and find consistent chances to score.

Nashville came into the game a paltry 1-for-15 with the man advantage, an Tuesday did nothing to raise that percentage. They didn’t have as many opportunities as they did against the Sens the day before, but failed in both their tries against the Leafs.

“You just got to flush it, got to move on from this one,” Perbix said. “Obviously, we’ll do some video, learn from this, from the mistakes we made, and build off the stuff that we did good, because I do believe there was plenty of good that we did out there.”

The penalty-kill unit didn’t have to work as hard, either, compared to the penalty fest in Ottawa. They successfully killed off both penalties and are now 11-of-12 through four games.

Their only blemish on the young season came Monday against Ottawa, when they gave up an empty-net goal on a 6-on-4. Otherwise, they are perfect in 5-on-4.

The Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at TNA Bound For Glory 2025 lit up the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, but fans werenâ€t thrilled with how it ended — and they werenâ€t quiet about it either.

TNAâ€s annual spectacle went down on Sunday, October 12, with the intergender Call Your Shot Gauntlet match once again offering the winner a future title shot of their choosing. The rules were clear: survive the battle royal, make it to the final two, and win by pinfall. But this yearâ€s match took a left turn nobody saw coming.

Léi YÇng Lee entered the match at #1, followed by Mara Sade. The early minutes were full of surprises — Ryan Nemeth entered third, but quickly got jumped by both women. Nic Nemeth entered fourth to back up his brother, and Cedric Alexander hit the ring next in his Bound For Glory debut.

As more names entered — including Rich Swann, AJ Francis, Eric Young, Jake Something, and even YouTuber BDE — the eliminations piled up. The Rascalz stormed in as a unit, while Dani Luna, Rosemary, and hometown surprise entrants added even more chaos.

One moment drew major heat: Jody Threat was scheduled to enter at #17 but never made it to the ring. Frankie Kazarian ambushed her and stole her spot. Santino Marella came out next, Cobra in hand, and dropped Kazarian before being swiftly tossed out by Nic Nemeth.

Then Matt Cardona entered at #19 to a thunderous ovation and quickly cleared house, only to be double-teamed by the Nemeth Brothers. Mance Warner was the final entrant, taking the match down to the final stretch.

It all came down to Kazarian — who was never officially eliminated — and Nic Nemeth. After both men appeared to score a pin at the same time, the referees couldnâ€t come to an agreement. In the end, TNA declared them both winners.

That announcement set the crowd off. Fans erupted in boos, chanting “bullsht!â€* as both Kazarian and Nemeth celebrated their dual victory. Social media lit up with fans calling the decision a “joke†and demanding TNA make it right.

The Call Your Shot Gauntlet may have produced two winners, but it left the audience with zero satisfaction. Now the big question is — will both men actually get a title shot, or will TNA be forced to revisit this messy finish?

What did you think of the double win at TNA Bound For Glory? Should there have been a clear winner? Drop your comments below and let us know how youâ€d fix this finish.

As Xander Schauffele was outdueling Max Greyserman to win the Baycurrent Classic on Sunday in Japan, Matt McCarty was trying to make history.

Instead, he ended up collapsing in brutal fashion on the 72nd hole at Yokohama Country Club.

The left-hander started Sunday’s final round on the 10th hole. He shot a bogey-free four-under 31 on his first nine and then reeled off eight straight birdies beginning at No. 1. That put McCarty in position to shoot 59 with a par at the last or join Jim Furyk in the 58 club with a birdie.

The golf gods had other plans.

Standing on the tee box at the 490-yard par-4 ninth hole, McCarty seemed destined to finish his trip to Japan on a high note. Instead, he blocked his tee shot out of bounds to the left. The 27-year-old had to reload from the tee box. He found the fairway with his third, knocked his approach shot to seven feet, and rolled in the putt for a closing bogey and a round of 60, a career-best on the PGA Tour.

What could have been.

McCarty was on track to become the 16th player in PGA Tour history to shoot a sub-60 round. The last to do so was Jake Knapp in the first round of this year’s Cognizant Classic. But one poor drive ended those dreams and turned a good round sour.

“Yeah, I don’t know, just [got] a little tight [on that swing] and just kind of tried to guide it a little too much and just wiped it,” McCarty said. “[Chasing 59], I actually feel like it’s similar to being in contention. I came out of it and shoved it in the trees.

“I thought I kind of had a chance around the corner [to find the ball] but it probably hit one of those trees and kicked left. Yeah, tough finish to a really good day. One swing away from a 58.”

The 2024 Korn Ferry Tour graduate was still pleased with his round. It got him a T14 finish and moved him to 84th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings ahead of his title defense at the Black Desert Championship in Utah in two weeks. And while the blocked tee shot on the ninth hole sticks out, McCarty also looks at the missed eight-foot eagle putt on No. 4 as a reason he didn’t break 60.

“I hit it close on 4 for eagle and missed that, but I was kind of thinking if I made that I had a chance,” McCarty said. “But you never really think you’re going to birdie eight in a row or whatever. With three to go, I was like, I can get two and have a chance. I had two kick-ins on 7 and 8. I just hit it really well and played solid. It’s weird to play that well and come off the course feeling like this, but yeah, [overall] a good day.”

Seth Rollins finally put an end to a wrinkle that’s been bothering him the most at Crown Jewel in controversial fashion.

The World Heavyweight Champion is winless against WWE Champion Cody Rhodes coming in to their WWE Crown Jewel Championship match in Perth, Western Australia. This has been eating Rollins alive for the past three years. He even abadoned his teammates in The Vision at one point to primarily focus on beating Rhodes and informed them he need to do it by himself.

Both men pulled all the stops but couldn’t quite upend each other. During the match, the Visionary shocked the WWE universe by hitting the Coast to Coast headbutt on the American Nightmare. He followed it up with a Rock Bottom, only for a near-fall.

Rhodes countered with a super Cross Rhodes on his own but Rollins kicked out. The WWE Champion set up the World Heavyweight Champion for a pedigree but what happened next is more shocking.

Seth Rollins Hit Cody Rhodes With his Rolex Gift From WrestleMania 40

Seth Rollins was able to escape from Cody Rhodes’ impending pedigree and crawled right into the Rolex watch that the WWE Champion gave to him in 2024. The Visionary hid it and allowed himself to get kicked by the American Nightmare.

Rollins struck into the referee which allowed him to nail Rhodes in the jaw with the watch. He then stomped the latter and for good measure, unleashed the super Stomp from the second rope.

The shenanigan led to the World Heavyweight Champion finally getting the monkey off of his back by pinning the WWE Champion to become the Men’s Crown Jewel Champion. This is Rollins’ first singles win against Rhodes after being winless in three matches in 2022.

Ina Kim-Schaad won the 2025 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship for the second time on Thursday, draining an 18-foot putt on the fifth extra hole at Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Dunes Course to claim a dramatic victory over her opponent, Hanley Long. The 23-hole final match was the longest in U.S. Women’s Mid-Am history.

At 42 years old, Kim-Schaad is a USGA event veteran, with this year marking her 20th USGA championship appearance. With the win, she became the fourth-oldest champion ever at the U.S. Women’s Mid-Am, and the first woman to win the Mid-Am twice since Julia Potter-Bobb in 2016. Kim-Schaad won her first Mid-Am title in 2019 at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, Ariz.

“I’m still overwhelmed with emotion, honestly,” Kim-Schaad said Thursday. “I truly love this place, and my husband and I got married in Carmel. To do it at such a special place, golf course, with my family here and my husband on the bag, his birthday day week, and for a second time, it’s like there’s not even enough language to put around just all the feels that I’m feeling.”

Kim-Schaad fired stroke-play rounds of 72-79 (seven over) to take the 45th seed in the match-play Round of 64. She won her first match 1 up; her Round of 32 match 2 and 1, her Round of 16 match 3 and 2, her quarterfinal match 3 and 1, and her semi-final match 2 and 1, where she took out No. 1 seed Katherine Zhu.

In the final match against Long, 27, Kim-Schaad won the first hole and never trailed, but Long managed to tie the match four different times — including on the 17th hole. Kim-Schaad ultimately prevailed with a dramatic birdie on the fifth extra hole.

“Downhill left-to-right ticklers are not my specialty, but I just wanted to give it a chance,” Kim-Schaad said. “I thought if I nestled it up there and two-putted, [Long] was going to have a really difficult par anyway. My genuine intention was nestle it up there and give it a chance, and it just happened to drop.”

“It was an absolute battle out there the entire day,” Long said. “Hats off to our champion. She absolutely crushed it today. Honestly, I’m just so proud of my grit and determination throughout the entire day, keeping my head up and held high and never giving up.”

With the win, Kim-Schaad will receive an exemption into the next 10 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships, the 2026 and 2027 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships and the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Championship at Riviera Country Club.

The 2026 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship will be played at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, N.J., Sept. 29-Oct. 3.

Is there anything Mary Fowler can’t do?

On Monday, the Australia and Manchester City superstar became the first professional footballer to hit the runway for L’Oréal Paris at Paris Fashion Week.

“Stepping onto the runway was an exhilarating experience and different from anything I’ve experienced on the football pitch, ” Fowler said.

“To walk alongside such inspiring figures … reinforced my belief that beauty is about embracing who we truly are and the confidence that comes with it.”

– Soccer’s most stylish 2025-26 kits: The world’s best jerseys
– Premier League 2025-26 kits: Ranking every jersey released
– Concept, design, launch: How a Premier League kit is created

Some of those inspiring figures included model Kendall Jenner, actress and activist Jane Fonda, Dame Helen Mirren, and EGOT winner, Viola Davis.

“I hope every young woman watching, especially back home in Australia, felt that sense of empowerment and is inspired to embrace their individuality and walk with pride, knowing they are worth it,” Fowler said.

The Matildas’ fan favourite swapped her usual green-and-gold kit for a black gown by American designer, Christian Siriano.

While the world is much more accustomed to seeing Fowler fly down the wing, the Man City attacker is currently sidelined after sustaining an ACL

However, Fowler recently hit a milestone in her recovery, taking to the grass for a run in August.

Matildas fans will be hoping her recovery continues to progress smoothly with the Women’s Asian Cup taking place in Australia in March 2026.
