With the bases loaded, Eugenio Suárez’s grand slam in the eighth sealed it for the Seattle Mariners, lifting them to a 6-2 win Friday and a 3-2 lead in the American League Championship Series.

Seattle jumped out to a 2-0 series lead on the road before Toronto battled back to even the series on Thursday.

The Mariners regained the advantage when Cal Raleigh hit a clutch home run in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game, setting the stage for Suárez’s grand slam to seal the win.

Suárez went 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs, while Raleigh added a RBI on a solo homer, finishing 2-for-4 at the plate.

Mariners ace Bryce Miller got the start, striking out four while allowing four hits, two walks and one earned run over four innings.

Fans erupted over Suárez’s grand slam that secured the Mariners’ series lead.

Suárez put the Mariners on the board with a 396-foot home run in the second inning, giving Seattle a 1-0 lead over the Blue Jays.

In the top of the fifth, a double from Blue Jays’ George Springer brought home Addison Barger from second to even the score at 1-1.

Alejandro Kirk followed with a double in the sixth, setting up a RBI from Ernie Clement that gave the Blue Jays their first lead of the game, 2-1.

Raleigh delivered the game-tying home run in the eighth, a deep shot that just cleared the wall to even the score at two. With the bases loaded later in the inning, Suárez launched an opposite-field grand slam to send the crowd into a frenzy and give Seattle a 6-2 lead and the win.Â

While the Mariners and Blue Jays battle in the ALCS, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers are facing off in the National League Championship Series to determine who advances to the World Series.

Los Angeles currently leads that series 3-0 and will look to complete the sweep Friday night.

The series between the Mariners and Blue Jays will shift back to Toronto for a decisive Game 6 on Monday, with first pitch scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET.

The Toronto Blue Jays secured a Game 4 American League Championship Series 8-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Thursday on the road, evening the series at 2-2.

Blue Jays ace Max Scherzer had a solid night and even appeared to refuse to come out of the game in the fifth inning, striking out five over 5.2 innings while allowing three hits, one home run, two earned runs and four walks.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. made history after going 2-for-5 at the plate and hitting his fifth home run of the postseason, setting a new Blue Jays record for most home runs in a single postseason, surpassing Jose Bautista (2015), per SportsNet.

Andrés Giménez went 2-for-3 on Thursday, hitting a two-run homer and a two-run single for four RBIs, while George Springer and Daulton Varsho also added RBIs.

“Mad Max,” Vladdy and the Blue Jays thrilled fans on Thursday, evening the ALCS with an electrifying performance on the road.

Josh Naylor sparked the Seattle Mariners’ offense with a leadoff home run to center in the bottom of the second, giving Seattle a 1-0 lead, but it was short-lived.

Giménez responded in the top of the third with a two-run homer to right and a bases-loaded walk to Varsho added another run, putting Toronto ahead 3-1.

Springer extended the Blue Jays’ lead in the fourth with an RBI double and later scored on a wild pitch by Matt Brash, making it 5-1.

Eugenio Suárez singled to right in the sixth to drive in a run, but a rocket throw from Addison Barger in right field nailed Josh Naylor at third to end the inning with minimal damage.

Guerrero Jr. launched a 359-foot home run to center in the seventh, reclaiming the run and giving the Blue Jays a 6-2 lead.

Giménez added a RBI double in the eighth to blow the game open, and the Blue Jays went on to win 8-2.

As the Mariners and Blue Jays duel in the American League, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers clash in the National League to decide who advances to the World Series. Los Angeles currently holds a 3-1 series lead.

Game 5 will stay in Seattle on Friday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:08 p.m. ET, as Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman and Mariners’ Bryce Muller are set to face off.

It was a night of veteran quarterbacks going vintage, as Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers combined for 591 yards and seven touchdowns in the Cincinnati Bengals’ 33-31 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Flacco threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns, completing 31-of-47 passes. He connected with Ja’Marr Chase for a touchdown, with Chase totaling 161 yards, while Tee Higgins added a score on 96 yards and Noah Fant also found the end zone. Chase Brown rushed for 108 yards on the night.

Rodgers battled, finishing with 249 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions, completing 23-of-34 passes. He connected with Pat Freiermuth for two touchdowns covering 111 yards and threw a touchdown to Jonnu Smith. DK Metcalf added 50 receiving yards on three catches.

With the home win, the Bengals improved to 3-4 on the season, snapping a four-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Steelers dropped to 4-2, suffering their first loss in three games.

Fans praised the two veterans for putting on a show in an epic match on Thursday night.Â

The Steelers struck first in the opening quarter, with Rodgers connecting with Smith for a touchdown on their opening drive to take a 7-0 lead.

Cincinnati lit up the second quarter, scoring on all three possessions and forcing turnovers on two of Pittsburgh’s drives, limiting the Steelers to just a field goal.Â

Rodgers threw two interceptions, while Flacco connected with Chase and Higgins and added a field goal, giving the Bengals a 17-10 lead at halftime.

The Bengals controlled the clock after the break, adding a field goal, and Rodgers responded with a touchdown pass to Freiermuth to cut the deficit to three heading into the fourth quarter.Â

Flacco connected with Fant early in the fourth for a touchdown, but Rodgers answered with a score to Washington to keep the game within three. A field goal by Cincinnati later extended their lead to 30-24.

A 68-yard pass to Freiermuth with 2:21 left gave the Steelers a late 31-30 lead. However, with time on the clock and a deep connection from Flacco to Higgins set up the Bengals in field-goal range and Evan McPherson drilled the game-winning kick.

Rodgers and the Steelers will face his former team, the Green Bay Packers, at home next Sunday, Oct. 26, while Flacco and the Bengals host the New York Jets on the same day.

Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon was charged with one count of reckless driving and one count of following too closely, resulting in a motor accident over the summer.

TMZ broke the news that his charges were going to be dropped as he was willing to participate in a special program where he had to meet some conditions. A Stamford judge allowed the former WWE Chairman into an accelerated pre-trial rehabilitation program that would ensure that if McMahon kept his nose clean, donated $1,000 to charity, and adhered to driving lawfully, his case would be tossed out in October 2026.

Fans Greet Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon Outside The Courthouse

Vince McMahon was surrounded by many fans outside the courthouse. The fans apparently wanted to get his autograph, with one X/Twitter user stating that eBay resellers were also part of this group.

They were stalking the courthouse to get McMahon to sign a bunch of stuff. The 80-year-old obliged, quietly signing each of them before walking into the building.

You can WATCH the video in the tweet below:

After Marissa Alter originally posted the video above, many fans online were astounded by the people who seemingly did not find Vince McMahon appalling. Nobody has forgotten the allegations of the Janel Grant lawsuit, which were made public in January 2024, deeply affecting the former WWE CEO’s reputation.

It also forced McMahon to step down from his role as the Executive Chairman of the Board in TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE and UFC.

Interestingly, Brock Lesnar is back on television. He was brought back at SummerSlam to kickstart a program with John Cena, one that culminated at Wrestlepalooza, WWE’s debut show on ESPN. The Beast dominated Cena en route to defeating the 17-time World Champion. Lesnar is expected to do more shows in 2026.

While the former UFC Heavyweight Champion’s comeback sparked controversy, it has proved to be a massive commercial success for WWE.

Samantha Irvin is once again using her platform to speak out—this time to protect her fans from falling for an impersonator.

The former WWE announcer took to Twitter to alert her followers about a fake Facebook account thatâ€s pretending to be her, and the numbers are shocking.

The phony page has racked up more than 237,000 followers, fooling thousands into believing itâ€s connected to Irvin. But the real Samantha wants fans to know it has nothing to do with her. She posted a clear message to her followers:

“this fake Facebook has HOW MANY followers?! Oh no… Please report! This is NOT ME! Thanks guys ðŸðŸ½ðŸðŸ½ðŸðŸ½â€

Irvin has stayed active since parting ways with WWE in October 2024, especially focusing on her rising music career. With that kind of momentum, itâ€s no surprise scammers are trying to ride her name for attention—and possibly money.

Fake social media profiles targeting public figures have become a growing issue, and Samanthaâ€s situation is a reminder that not every blue-check or big-following account is legit. Her warning to fans is simple: if it looks suspicious, donâ€t engage—and definitely donâ€t share your personal info.

Have you ever come across a fake celebrity profile online? How do you spot the difference? Drop your thoughts and share your tips in the comments.

Fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv will not be allowed to attend the Europa League match at Aston Villa on 6 November owing to safety concerns.

West Midlands police said it had classified the fixture as “high risk†based on “current intelligence and previous incidents, including violent clashes and hate crime offences that occurred during the 2024 Uefa Europa League match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Amsterdamâ€.

The police said it believed the measure would “help mitigate risks to public safety†and that it remained “steadfast in our support of all affected communities, and reaffirm our zero-tolerance stance on hate crime in all its formsâ€.

The move was condemned by the prime minister, Keir Starmer, who said: “This is the wrong decision. We will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets.

“The role of the police is to ensure all football fans can enjoy the game, without fear of violence or intimidation.â€

The Conservative leader, Kemi Badenoch, said the decision was a “national disgrace†and urged Starmer to reverse it.

Villa said the local safety advisory group had instructed the club that “no away fans will be permittedâ€.

“The club are in continuous dialogue with Maccabi Tel Aviv and the local authorities throughout this ongoing process, with the safety of supporters attending the match and the safety of local residents at the forefront of any decision,†Villa said.

There was significant unrest when Maccabi played Ajax on 7 November. A report by Dutch police into the disorder, which lasted two days, found that Maccabi fans had torn a Palestinian flag down from the facade of a local building and burned it, shouted “Fuck you, Palestine†and vandalised a taxi, among a series of incidents before the fixture. After the match, what were described by Amsterdamâ€s mayor as a series of “hit-and-run†assaults on Maccabi fans, led to five people being taken to hospital and a further 20 to 30 being slightly injured. Sixty-two people were arrested, mainly for public order offences.

The Israeli foreign minister, Gideon Saâ€ar, posted on X: “Shameful decision! I call on the UK authorities to reverse this coward decision!†The Palestine Solidarity Campaign said the match should be cancelled, writing on X: “Israeli football teams shouldnâ€t play in international tournaments whilst it commits genocide and apartheid.â€

The Independent MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, Ayoub Khan, said: “I welcome the Safety Advisory Groupâ€s decision. With so much hostility and uncertainty around the match, it was only right to take drastic measures.â€

Ajax were prevented last month from having fans at a Champions League match in Marseille after the French interior ministry banned “anyone claiming to be an Ajax Amsterdam supporter†from travelling between the French border and the southern city. Ajax said they had been informed the decision had been taken “on grounds of public safety and securityâ€.

The same week, the prefecture of Naples prevented the selling of tickets to Eintracht Frankfurt fans hoping to travel to their Champions League match against Napoli.

Uefa said: “In all cases, the competent local authorities remain responsible for decisions related to the safety and security of matches taking place on their territory, such decisions being determined on the basis of thorough risk assessments, which vary from match to match and take into consideration previous circumstances.â€

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

It’s WrestleDream week and a three-plus-hour go-home show was on tap to get fans ready for this Saturday night’s PPV event. There are some intriguing matchups as well as some rematches scheduled for this weekend, so let’s see how they did to get viewers ready.

HITS

MOXLEY-DARBY FACE-TO-FACE

This was a great segment. They just sat two guys down in chairs across from each other and had them talk. They had a conversation that did not come across as scripted. Viewers could hear both wrestlers explain their reasons for doing what they’ve been doing for the past few months. This was well constructed and well delivered by both. This is clearly the most anticipated match of the PPV for many fans and Tony Khan should really think about making it the main event.

The sequel to this later in the show was fine and the images of Darby crawling through all the abuse to get to Moxley was well done, but it wasn’t necessary to add any more anticipation in my mind. Needless to say, this is the match that has the most long-term emotional build and should be wild come Saturday night.

JURASSIC EXPRESS AND KENNY OMEGA

Early in the show, Jack Perry gave us a little more clarity, but he was still too vague in his explanation of his motives. If he is going to be a babyface again, he needs to show remorse over what he did in the past. The six-man tag match an hour later did a better job in that regard. The match was not only fun to watch and a hard-hitting affair, but there was a lot of narrative that made it more clear the role that the new Jurassic Express will play.

Perry sacrificed himself for Omega, which was the clear babyface decision I was hoping for as they eventually came out on top and got a much better fan reaction after the match than they did at the start. Omega coming to their aid when The Young Bucks arrived was another step forward for Omega to build some allies, since most of his friends are no longer available to help.

QUICK HITS

– The Toni Storm-Kris Statlander opening interview and short fight was weird, but strangely, it made me anticipate the match on Saturday a little bit more than I did previously, so I suppose that was the purpose of the segment!

– Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue was a very good match. Blue has continued to improve every week. Thekla did a great job in her promo setting up her match with Hayter for WrestleDream and it was nice that they didn’t have another beatdown to lead into the PPV. The match and words were all that was needed. I like Thekla and I think she should be built into a title contender sooner rather than later.

– The Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong match was a lot of fun and very hard-hitting. It was a nice reminder what a force Claudio can be.

– The Opps vs. LFI match was more solid wrestling, but what stood out was “Hangman” Adam Page and his interaction with Bryan Danielson on commentary. They had some great insight on the World Title match at WrestleDream and the post-match angle did enough to make this another one I’m looking forward to watching on Saturday. I have really liked the build to this despite how quickly they had to pivot to this storyline.

– Once again, the six-man tag match to end the show was good and gave you more Don Callis and Bryan Danielson on commentary and set up the Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher TNT Title match for WrestleDream as well as set up the Tag Title match with Brodido vs. Kazuchika Okada & Konsuke Takeshita. All are intriguing matchups that should deliver at the PPV.

MISSES

HURT SYNDICATE/DEMAND OUT OF ORDER?

Why are getting a six-man tornado tag match with The Hurt Syndicate and The Demand at WrestleDream when we just got a street fight between them a week ago? This is an example of a match that certainly could have been left off the PPV, especially since we got another tag match between the two teams on Dynamite It’s just too much and makes it hard to get excited about what’s to come this weekend, even if they made it a tornado tag. I like both teams, but they need to move on from each other. The street fight should have been the blowoff.

TOO MANY MULTI-PERSON MATCHES

That sure was a lot of multi-person matches on a three-hour broadcast. While I understand their need to get as many wrestlers on the show and preview WrestleDream this weekend without any of the main participants taking falls, this could have been better executed. Why not have some singles matches to determine opponents for the PPV matches lower on the card? Why not have a tag match that gives the winner a spot in the show or have a match for a stipulation. There were no stakes in 90 percent of the matches on Dynamite this week and that is a problem that should be fixed immediately.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent caught fire from behind the arc in the first half of the team’s preseason matchup with Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

Vincent scored 22 points and dished out three assists through two quarters, shooting 6-of-10 from three-point territory. The Lakers led the Mavericks 66-53 at the half.

LeBron James gave a shoutout to the performance, while fans were also impressed with Vincent’s scoring outburst.

Rui Hachimura recorded 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting for the Lakers at the half, while Jaxson Hayes chipped in with nine points and six rebounds to go along with four assists.

Meanwhile, Flagg scored nine points in 17 minutes while shooting 4-of-7 from the field in the first half.

As for Vincent, he’s entering his third season in Los Angeles after signing a three-year deal worth $33 million with the organization during the 2023 offseason.

He was limited to just 11 appearances in his first year as a Laker due to a knee injury that eventually required surgery.

Vincent eventually came back to play in 72 contests last season, averaging 6.4 points and 1.4 assists in 21.2 minutes per game on 40.0/35.3/71.4 shooting splits.

This year, he’ll look to stand out in a crowded guard rotation that includes Luka DonÄić, Austin Reaves, Marcus Smart and Jake LaRavia. Dalton Knecht is also a candidate to receive more playing time.

If Vincent can carry his momentum from Wednesday night into the regular season, it’ll be difficult for Lakers head coach JJ Redick to take him off the floor.

After dropping the first two games of the ALCS to the Seattle Mariners, the Toronto Blue Jays have regained some momentum with a dominant 13-4 win in Game 3 on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays collected 18 hits and blasted five home runs in the win, which was far too much for a Seattle offense that had eight hits and three homers.

The Mariners struck first with a two-run homer from Julio Rodríguez in the bottom of the first, but from there it was all Toronto. They scored five runs in the third, with Andrés Giménez hitting a solo home run, and George Springer added another homer in the fourth.

Toronto then went up 8-2 fifth and added four more runs in the sixth to make it a 12-2 run lead. The Mariners showed some signs of life in the eighth with back-to-back home runs, but Addison Barger added some insurance for the Jays in the top of the ninth with a solo shot.

It was an offensive display all around for Toronto, but star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. led the way, going 4-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored.

Blue Jays fans were thrilled with the offensive showing in Game 3.

The Blue Jays still have plenty of work to do after the win. They still trail 2-1 in the series and will be on the road for the next two games.

But after the way their offense came to life on Wednesday, it’s hard to imagine the Jays won’t have plenty of confidence heading into Game 4 on Thursday.

CM Punk has had enough — and heâ€s calling out fans who are crossing the line in a big way.

In a message posted to his Instagram Stories, the WWE star issued a public warning to individuals who have been showing up at airports and hotels just to catch him off guard. Punk didnâ€t sugarcoat it — he made it crystal clear that this type of behavior is not fan support, itâ€s harassment.

“We unfortunately have to have this conversation again,†Punk wrote. “Do not turn up at airports. Do not show up at hotels. I cannot believe I have to say this. DO NOT FOLLOW PEOPLE.â€

Punk went on to say that these repeated invasions of privacy have been addressed before — and that enough is enough.

“Youâ€ve repeatedly been politely told no, respect it,†he continued. “You are not a fan, you are a stalker and will be treated as such. Respect the boundaries. Stop harassing people.â€

This kind of statement isnâ€t new in pro wrestling. Top talent from WWE, AEW, and other promotions have dealt with increasingly aggressive behavior from fans using flight tracking apps, social media tips, and hotel searches to track their every move. What might seem like an innocent autograph opportunity to some has spiraled into full-on privacy breaches.

Wrestlers have shared horror stories over the years — from being followed through security lines at airports to having strangers request their hotel room numbers at the front desk. Some have even been approached at dinner while sitting with their families. Itâ€s become a serious problem that blurs the line between fandom and obsession.

CM Punk, being one of the most well-known figures in the industry, has long dealt with the darker side of fame. But this latest outburst shows the frustration is reaching a boiling point — and heâ€s no longer staying silent.

CM Punk Rips Into Fans Who Follow Him to Airports and Hotels

Should fans respect wrestlers†personal boundaries more? Where is the line between dedication and disrespect? Let us know what you think in the comments.
