A neck injury has prevented Kevin Owens from being around for much of John Cena’s retirement tour, but the former WWE grand slam champion still found a way to honor his longtime rival.

Owens got an early start on Halloween by dressing up as Cena:

“Can you see me?” Owens wrote in a post on Instagram.

Even though Halloween is still a few weeks away, true believers know it’s never too early to start celebrating as soon as the calendar flips to October.

Per Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News, Owens and his family were cosplaying as different pop-culture figures during a recent trip to the Magic Kingdom.

Owens went all out with his Cena attire, including wearing the knee pads with the jorts. The former WWE universal champion has been out of action since March due to a neck injury that resulted in his planned WrestleMania 41 match against Randy Orton being called off.

There has been no definite return date for Owens after he underwent neck fusion surgery, or if he will be able to get back in the ring at all, but he has said the hope is to be back at some point in 2026.

One of the many sad parts about Owens being out of action is it prevented fans from getting one more match between him and Cena. The two had a terrific feud in 2015 when Owens made his main-roster debut, challenging Cena for the United States title.

Owens even spoke about his hope of getting a match with Cena this year, specifically on May 31 to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of their first showdown at Elimination Chamber.
