Former WWE star Braun Strowman has finally spoken about his recent Twitter clash with Paul Heyman, suggesting the WWE manager might be overly sensitive or perhaps misses having him around. The Monster Among Men seemed confused about why Heyman came at him so strongly when he never directly addressed the veteran wrestling personality in the first place.
Speaking on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Strowman explained that
I keep getting this tweeting with Paul Heyman. I never even talked about Paul or acknowledged Paul. I donâ€t know why he got so upset and came at me… Especially because he gets to see my face every commercial break on SmackDown, and letâ€s be for real, if anybody knows about me having a show about ordering everything on the menu, you think Paul would know.
I have no idea (why Heyman wrote what he did about me). I guess I struck a nerve or something. I donâ€t know. I didnâ€t deliberately, intentionally mean to talk to him or any of that stuff. I donâ€t know whatâ€s going on, and maybe heâ€s just sensitive or something or maybe he misses me. Thatâ€s probably what it is. I think the ratings are struggling a little bit and they realize that when The Monsterâ€s on TV, he draws ratings so who knows?†(H/T: WrestlePurists)
Strowman also took a subtle shot at WWE’s current television performance, suggesting that the ratings are struggling a little bit, and they realize that when The Monster’s on TV, he draws ratings. The comment seemed to reference his absence from WWE programming since his departure from the company in May 2025.
The Exchange Between Paul Heyman and Braun Strowman
The social media back-and-forth began after the October 6 edition of WWE RAW, when Heyman claimed during a segment that Bronson Reed was the only person who ever put Roman Reigns on a stretcher. This statement caught the attention of Strowman, who famously feuded with Reigns back in 2017 and had his own brutal moments with the Big Dog, including overturning an ambulance with Reigns inside.
Strowman responded on Twitter by posting emojis and calling Heyman ‘Oswald Cobblepot,’ referencing the Penguin character from Batman. The jab was a clear shot at Heyman’s appearance and his revisionist history about Reigns never being stretchered out before.
Paul Heyman didn’t let the comment slide and fired back with a brutal response on October 8. He wrote a sarcastic message saying he had nothing negative to say about Strowman, but added that he was actually relieved and celebratory to learn that Strowman was still alive, something most people didn’t realize and even fewer cared about. The cutting remark was classic Heyman, mixing fake politeness with a harsh dig at Strowman’s reduced visibility since leaving WWE.
John Cena is grateful for his time at the WWE Performance Center.
Cena is just four dates away from hanging up his boots. Cenaâ€s retirement match is scheduled for WWE Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event on December 13. While his opponent has yet to be announced, reports suggest that Gunther may be given the honor of facing John Cena at SNME.
The Cenation Leader seems to be making the most of the limited time he has left on the WWE roster by imparting his wisdom to up-and-coming superstars. The former 17-time WWE Champion recently visited the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, where he met with NXT and EVOLVE talents, including Blake Monroe and Nikkita Lyons.
John Cena reflected on his visit to the WWE PC in a new post on X, sharing a heartwarming message for the superstars of tomorrow and noting that such interactions always leave him with new perspectives.
“Thank you to everyone at the @WWE PC for allowing me to learn from our incredibly gifted future,†Cena posted. Staying curious and open minded is a gateway for new knowledge and ideas. Any time I get to spend with the present and future of the business I love challenges the way I see it and I always leave with new perspectives. I canâ€t express how meaningful these visits are for me. Truly grateful.â€
Tonightâ€s episode of WWE NXT will emanate from the Performance Center. Hereâ€s whatâ€s on tap for the show:
- Leon Slater (c) vs Channing ‘Stacks†Lorenzo – TNA X-Division Championship match
- Axiom vs Shawn Legacy – WWE Speed Menâ€s Championship Tournament match
- Jasper Troy vs Zachary Wentz – WWE Speed Menâ€s Championship Tournament match
- OTM vs Hank and Tank – Tag team match
- Ricky Saints & Trick Williams sign contract for Halloween Havoc
Thank you to everyone at the @WWE PC for allowing me to learn from our incredibly gifted future. Staying curious and open minded is a gateway for new knowledge and ideas. Any time I get to spend with the present and future of the business I love challenges the way I see it and I…

It was a bittersweet night at TNA Victory Road as Ash By Elegance announced that she’d be stepping away from in-ring action and accordingly vacating the TNA Knockouts Championship she had won just a month earlier. Within hours, Ash’s former protege Kelani Jordan then claimed the title for herself by conquering a battle royal and Lei Ying Lee. While appearing on the “Battleground Podcast,” Jordan reflected on her Knockouts Championship win.
“It doesn’t feel real,” she said. “It’s honestly like just a surreal moment. I still feel like I’m in a fever dream because I never would have thought in a billion years that I would have an action figure. And also being able to be champion, it’s crazy.
“The day was crazy. I was not expecting that,” she continued. “Of course, I believe in myself and all that, but I was not expecting that. It was my first time in TNA. When I found out Ash was vacating the title, I did feel sad because I know how much she cares, how much she wanted to elevate that title. Also, Ash has a special place in my heart because she was my mentor here in NXT. So I’m happy that I was able to get the title from her and be able to carry what she wanted to do.”
Following her triumph at Victory Road, Jordan faced the first test of her Knockouts Championship reign when she defended the title against Indi Hartwell at TNA Bound For Glory. Hartwell, the in-ring veteran, put up a valiant effort against the former gymnast, but it wasn’t enough to defeat her. Jordan retained the Knockouts Championship by nailing Hartwell with a split legged moonsault.

The reign of the “Mad Dragon” has begun with a stern warning to its potential challengers.
After more than a year on the shelf, Ilja Dragunov returned to WWE television in grand fashion by answering and conquering Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the WWE United States Championship on “WWE SmackDown.” Fresh off his win, the new champion then reflected on his time away from the ring; at the same time, he looked ahead to the possibilities that his comeback may bring about.
“It’s been such a long year,” Dragunov said in a backstage video posted to Instagram, “and nobody understands how I feel sitting on the sidelines for a year, waiting and hoping and training to come back better than anybody else. More ruthless, more ambitious, fearless, more courage, all these things and everything that I accomplished over this year, this is a symbol of it. Me as a United States Champion. One thing is so clear to me right now. I got a very, very clear message to everyone who is coming for this. My dear friends and my dear enemies, if you step with me into the ring, pain shall entertain you.”
Initially, The Miz emerged as the latest answer to Zayn’s open challenge. Before he could enter the ring, however, Carmelo Hayes attacked him from behind, rendering him unable to compete. On cue, Dragunov seized the opening (new neck tattoo and all) and stepped up to Zayn in his place.
The closing of Dragunov vs. Zayn saw Zayn’s Helluva Kick countered with a Torpedo Moscow from Dragunov, who then delivered an H-Bomb for the win. With it, Dragunov started his first reign as WWE United States Champion, while Zayn’s own first came to an end at 49 days.
WWE star Blake Monroe, previously Mariah May, subtly took a shot at AEW.
Mariah May was among the AEW stars who recently jumped ship to WWE, joining the likes of Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, Lexis King, and Shawn Spears. After parting ways with All Elite Wrestling in May this year, she debuted as a superstar in May as a member of the NXT roster, now going by Blake Monroe.
The former All Elite star made her in-ring WWE debut in July and has since feuded with former tag team partner Jordynne Grace and currently with the Women’s North American and Speed Champion Sol Ruca.
Safe to say, the former Mariah May has been doing well as a WWE Superstar, and her recent comments have clearly reflected these sentiments.
What Comment Did WWE Star Mariah May Say That May Have Been A Dig At AEW?
The former Mariah May appeared on The Ringer Wrestling Show’s The Masked Man Show and discussed her early beginnings as part of the NXT roster, stating that she was learning a lot from the coaches and fellow superstars themselves.
Later in the conversation, Blake Monroe was asked if she always planned to wrestle in the developmental brand or if it was more of a “make the best of the situation” type of deal. The superstar answered that she has no problems starting in NXT, which she noted was the highest-viewed show she has ever been featured on.
I mean, NXT’s got the highest viewership of any show I’ve been on.”
The former Mariah May further explained that being in NXT gives her more exposure to fans who are unfamiliar with her, giving her a better chance of success once she goes to the main roster with top superstars and former champions like Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair.
Dominik Mysterio has commented on a potential match with John Cena.
Despite all the accolades in his long career, the Cenation Leader has never won the Intercontinental Championship. With only four dates left in his retirement tour, there has been a lot of talk on whether or not we’ll see Cena holding the belt.
During a recent interview with tonyfree27, Dirty Dom was asked about the potential match with the Peacemaker star. The current IC Champion said that if the ‘old geezer’ wants him to put the final nail in his coffin, he knows where to find the Judgment Day star:
“At the end of the day, Iâ€m here. If John Cena wants some, he can come get some. Heâ€s got four dates left, you said.
If that old geezer wants me to put a final nail in his coffin, Iâ€ll be more than happy to. Thatâ€s what Iâ€m here for. Iâ€m here to be and stay your dirty double champ.â€
John Cena is set for two Raw appearances in November, followed by a match at Survivor Series. It’ll be his last PLE as an active competitor before his retirement match at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Reports suggest that the 17-time world champion will indeed challenge Dominik Mysterio for his title at the next WWE PPV, but we’ll have to wait for his TV return next month for the confirmation.
Along with former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, Stevie Turner was the most notable of cuts made by WWE from “NXT,” “WWE LFG,” and the WWE ID program over the weekend. The 28 year old UK native had been with the promotion going back to the days of “WWE NXT UK,” and had recently been wrestling sparingly while serving as an authority figure on “NXT” and “WWE EVOLVE,” a fact that hadn’t gone unnoticed by Turner in one of her few statements following her release.
Today, however, Turner decided to be a bit more formal, taking to X in the afternoon to give her full thoughts on the release in a lengthy statement.
“I wanted to give it a few days to process my feelings and deliver a genuine message; I’m overwhelmed with love and I am so, so bloody proud of all I did as Stevie Turner,” Turner said. “From working in ‘NXT UK’ in my home of London, to leaving it all and flying across the world and achieving a life goal by moving to ‘NXT’ Orlando. I was 4D, a streamer, made history in the first ever TNA/’NXT’ matc and became the Prime Minister of Evolve. I loved every second of everything I did, and despite not having the simplest journey, I’m proud I always gave 100% to everything presented to me.
“I have no regrets, no loss of love – just a heart full of gratitude and wonder for the future. I’m excited to keep working on the feature film ‘Welcome to Paradise with Crucible Films and show what I can offer the world of voice acting/acting. And of course, I’m excited to lace my wrestling boots again. My one hope is that in all I’ve done, that I would have made my late tag partner Hana Kimura proud, because without her, I would have never had the confidence to push further for my dreams. See you all soon!”
I’ve left WWE and wanted to share some thoughts. The future is bright and of course I’m still in my Prime ðŸ’ðŸ¼â€â€ï¸ðŸ˜† thank you for reading!

Summer Sorrell is opening up regarding her release from WWE.
The now ex-NXT talent wrote about her departure on social media on Monday, sharing that she had developed a passion for the business and loved what she was doing prior to her release on Friday.
“It is hard to find the right words to express what wrestling means to me. I have developed a passion and love for this business that is unlike anything I have felt before,†she wrote. “I have loved every second. From long, stressful days filming, to challenging days in the ring, to many hours of rehab. Not a moment went by where I didnâ€t feel like the luckiest girl in the world.â€
She also said she had an “ongoing injury†during her time with the company that kept her from being able to show what she could do in the ring.
“The reality is that I struggled with the same ongoing injury during a majority of my time at the performance center. This held me back from ever being able to show my true potential in the ring,†she said. “Knowing that I only got the opportunity to show you a small fraction of what I am capable of is what is hurting me the most.â€
It was announced on Friday that WWE had released multiple talents including Sorrell. She only started wrestling earlier this year, losing to Wendy Choo on an episode of WWE Evolve. She also competed on WWE LFG, with her last match airing on September 7 losing to Bayley Humphrey.

Earlier this weekend, WWE released a number of talents from the “WWE NXT,” “WWE EVOLVE,” and WWE ID brands, including Jin Tala. Tala, real name Leigh Laurel, signed with WWE last year and later competed in season one of “WWE LFG,” which rewards the winners with “NXT” contracts.
Tala says she has long been a “jack of all trades” with multiple hobbies. Still, she admittedly couldn’t find her one true passion, until she signed with WWE that is. Tala expanded upon this sentiment in a departing statement posted to X.
“I found my passion, and I was all-in,” she wrote. “I wasn’t just fascinated by the physical aspects of pro wrestling, what hooked me was the psychology…the emotions that can be expressed by wrestlers & felt by the audience. So for those questioning my commitment, dedication…I can say with a hand on my heart that I didn’t falter. I knew I had weak points, so I put 110%, fed myself with knowledge from my coaches & main roster talent who came through the PC. And in the past month, I saw it & I think everyone saw it. I broke down some of those big walls I had failed to break during LFG.”
“My promos were showing range because I finally let go,” Tala continued. “My move set I recently developed in the ring showed aggression, everything the Legends were looking for. And I was able to showcase that in recent matches. And for me…that was a win.”
While uncertain of what exactly led to her being released from WWE, Tala remains proud of the progress she made in season one of “WWE LFG” as well as “WWE EVOLVE,” where she even vied for the EVOLVE Women’s Championship. Looking ahead, Tala plans to continue her professional wrestling journey as Leigh Laurel. Her next destination, wherever it may be, is currently unknown.
Tony Khan has commented on Kota Ibushiâ€s injury.
On Saturday, AEW ended up airing the Kota Ibushi vs. Josh Alexander match that was taped on Wednesday at Daly’s Place that ended after Ibushi broke his femur, landing badly on his leg after losing his balance off the top rope. Ibushi will require surgery as a result of the accident.
“We are all very grateful for The Golden Star @ibushi_kota,†he wrote. “In my opinion, heâ€s one of the greatest wrestlers that Iâ€ve ever seen. He is adored by the AEW locker room + fans worldwide. We wish him the best as he recovers from the leg injury he suffered on #AEWCollision tonight!â€
The injury took place when Alexander had Ibushi on his shoulders as he went to the top rope, but Ibushi appeared to lose his balance and both ended up falling out of the ring. Ibushi was unable to move as Alexander re-entered the ring. Ibushi ended up losing the match via count-out.Â
