Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s coverage of “AEW Collision” on October 4, 2025, coming to you from the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida!
After new Don Callis Family member, El Clon, cost Orange Cassidy the TNT Championship on Wednesday, Cassidy will team up with Paragon against the DCF’s Hechicero, Lance Archer, and Rocky Romero.
Last week, JetSpeed came to Willow Nightingale’s aid when she called out Dax Harwood for his rude attitude. Kevin Knight will face a member of FTR tonight and will find out who when he arrives to the ring.Â
Now that Kris Statlander and “Timeless” Toni Storm for the Women’s World Championship match is set for WrestleDream, the two will come face-to-face. Anna Jay challenged Jamie Hayer to a one-on-one matchup.
Tommy Billington and Adam Priest have been teaming up on “Collision” and they’ll join forces once again to team with Jay Lethal to take on the Death Riders’ Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Claudio Castagnoli.
Sammy Guevara issued a challenge to Eddie Kingston, but instead of facing “The Mad King” himself, his LFI stablemate, Dralistico will be stepping up. Guevara is one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions alongside RUSH and they will be in action. Over on ROH, MxM have been teaming with Johnny TV (and sometimes Taya Valkyrie). They make their way to “Collision” for an MxM TV Casting Call.

The following are spoilers for the AEW Collision episode airing on Saturday, October 4.
The show was taped Thursday night, October 2 in Lakeland, Florida.
**********
AEW Collision spoilers —
Kevin Knight (w/Speedball Mike Bailey and Willow Nightingale) defeated Dax Harwood (w/Cash Wheeler and Stokely Hathaway) —
A great 20+ minute match, crowd loved this. Post-match Stokely tried to step up to Willow who almost got Stokely in a powerbomb before Megan Bayne w/Penelope Ford stopped it and then put Willow down.
Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia (w/Marina Shafir) defeated Adam Priest, Tommy Billington, and Jay Lethal —
Post-match, Daddy Magic tried to yell at Garcia again with Garcia finally taking a mic and speaking back, saying he loved Matt like a brother but he was a loser and now he’s with winners. Moxley was enjoying this off to the side as the Death Riders allowed Garcia to handle it on his own before leaving through the crowd.
ROH Tag Team Champions Rush and Sammy Guevara (w/Dralistico) defeated Shane Stetson and Cha Cha Charlie —
This was a quick match.
Eddie Kingston (w/Hook) defeated Dralistico (w/Rush and Sammy Guevara) —
This happened immediately after the previous match with referees running down to prepare for Eddie who was making his entrance. Crowd loved Kingston.
Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Josh Alexander (w/El Clon) defeated Johnny TV, Mason Madden, and Mansoor (w/Taya Valkyrie) —
MxMTV w Taya asked who they were facing and out came Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander and El Clon who defeated MxM quickly.
Jamie Hayter defeated Anna Jay —
Toni Storm and Kris Statlander segment —
Kris Statlander called Toni Storm out to talk. Toni laid down, Statlander laid next to her and they talked about how it isn’t personal and while they respect each other the title is what makes it personal to Toni, who says there’s no one she would rather lose to but also there’s no one she would rather beat. Statlander said they can fight right now for no belts just to have at it and they started crawling before Triangle of Madness jumped them both. Harley Cameron evened the odds and fought off Skye Blue, Thekla, and Julia Hart. Toni and Kris had another stare down before they all went their separate ways.
PAC issues a challenge —
PAC challenged Orange Cassidy to a match in Jacksonville. No Death Riders, No Don Callis Family, just one on one.
Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly defeated Rocky Romero, Lance Archer, and Hechicero —
Post-match Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander, and El Clon joined the rest of the Don Callis Family on the entrance to intimidate the winners

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…
Kris Statlander (AEW Womenâ€s World Champion) vs. Mina Shirakawa – Dynamite 9/24
What a great main event to end Dynamite this week. I thought this was a strong match to start Statlander’s title reign, and in my opinion yet another reason Mina Shirakawa should be featured as much as possible. Her charisma is off the charts.
My favorite part of this match was Shirakawa working Statlander’s knee throughout the match, and commentary bringing up the fact that Statlander has had multiple surgeries on her knees. It was a good way for the champ to battle back and eventually get the pin. Shirakawa is so much fun to watch in the ring, and I thought she had a brutal spinning backfist to Statlander in this match.
This match was a great showing for both.
It’s amazing how someone can go from an after thought ( sorry Statlander fans) to interesting in the span of less than a week. I thought she really came off as a big deal throughout this episode of Dynamite. I also really got a kick out of Statlander giving Moxley the double birds and then running the hell out of the ring after the match.
This match was a great follow-up to the story they are trying to tell with Statlander. I was just as shocked as everyone else when Statlander won the title at All Out, and AEW showcasing her in this episode of Dynamite was a really smart way to kind of settle that shock fans had and get them invested in how Statlander is going to navigate the Death Riders, now that she has literally flipped them the bird.

Kyle Fletcher (AEW TNT Champion) vs. Komander – Collision 9/27
This match started off a little slow but then really picked up, and I thought these two guys absolutely killed it. Iâ€m really digging this new vicious streak from Fletcher. The second powerbomb he gave to Komander on the ring apron was some nasty work, and towards the end of the match he threw Komander into the turnbuckle like a dart which I thought was another great spot.
Komander really had a great showing here as well. I still roll my eyes at the rope walking where its clear his opponent can just knock him off the ropes instead of just standing there looking at him, but this match was so good it didnâ€t bother me as much. I thought Komander’s mid-flight adjustment into the destroyer on Fletcher was impressive, and he took some really nasty bumps throughout this match. The leaping Michinoku Driver he took from Fletcher looked so painful.
This match was just another notch in Fletcher’s belt on the absolute heater he has been on this last month. It’s fun as a wrestling fan to watch someone start to have it all come together like its coming together for Fletcher right now.
There was a spot in the match where he chopped Komander and then did a pose like he just hit a baseball and was watching the home run he just hit. I thought it was really fitting because all he has been doing this last month is hitting home runs in the ring and on the mic.

Gates of Agony (GOA) vs. Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) AEW World Tag Team Champions – Dynamite 9/24
What a pleasant surprise this pairing of Brody King & Bandido have been these last few months. I thought this was a fun match, and I think the chemistry between Bryan Danielson and Ricochet on commentary just made this match that more enjoyable. Bandidoâ€s gorilla press slam of Bishop Khan onto Toa Liona in the corner of the ring was so impressive, and just really highlighted the strength of Bandido.
One of the things that really struck me at the beginning of the match was the size difference between GOA and Bandido. They looked like giants standing next to him which made that gorilla press slam even more impressive. I also hated myself for laughing at the Macarena spot, but hey funny is funny.
I also really liked the spot GOA does with the backstabber into headbutt from the top rope. Brody King diving through the ropes is also always so insane to me for a big man. Just a great match to start off what I thought was a very enjoyable episode of Dynamite this week.
Emptying out the notebook
– I thought Kyle Fletcher did a fantastic job with his follow up promo after the loss to Hangman. “Looked in the mirror and remembered who the hell I am†was a great line.
– FTR line about CTE was a really big miss in their promo on Dynamite.
– Beth Phoenix obviously approved the lines (I hope), but I really did not like FTR taking multiple shots at Beth Phoenixâ€s physical appearance.
– After Moxley or Darby inevitably get lit on fire at WrestleDream (sigh), it is time to retire the fire spot for a while.
– Harley Cameronâ€s charm is wearing thin. She is becoming too self-aware. I do not want that to happen, because she is great.
– It was a small little touch, but I loved when Kris Stalander grabbed Harley Cameron and put Cameron behind her when Jon Moxleyâ€s music hit. Protecting her from the Boogeyman.
– The World Heavyweight Champion should never come out first for a match and certainly should never have to sit and wait in the ring while a promo package plays for his opponent.
– Hechicero reminds me of the Bane character from the Batman and Robin movie from the ’90s. I cannot unsee it, and now neither will you.
– The Jack Perry video package on this weekâ€s Dynamite was well done by AEW . I am rooting for Perry. What a crazy two years for that kid. The butterfly effect of “ cry me a river†in wrestling may never be topped again.
About the Author
My name is Taylor Halley, and I am from Boston, Mass. I am the proud father of two young boys aged 4.5 and 1 years old. I have been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember, honestly. Saturday morning WWF superstars was just as important to me as Saturday morning cartoons. In the sixth grade, my class had to do a biography on a famous character from history. Most kids choose ex-presidents or famous Boston athletes at the time. I picked Shawn Michaels, my favorite wrestler of all time. My first wrestling show was at the Boston Garden, and it was a house show where Shawn Michaels was the main event. I can still remember the feeling of walking into the arena and seeing the ring live for the first time. I still have the ticket stub too. So yes, if you have not guessed yet, I am a proud Attitude Era kid. Other than wrestling, I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends, cheering on my Boston sports teams and Notre Dame college football (Go Irish!). I am also obsessed with fantasy football. If you ever need lineup advice, I am your guy. I am excited for this opportunity to write for PWTorch, and Iâ€m happy to be on the team.

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s coverage of “AEW Collision” on September 27, 2025, coming to you from the Marshall Health Network Arena in Huntington, West Virginia!
Since joining the Death Riders, Daniel Garcia has turned his back on his friend and mentor, Daddy Magic. Tonight, they’ll face off in a Trios match. Garcia will team with Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli while Magic will team with Garcia’s former friends, Paragon.
Although Kyle Fletcher did not become double champion by beating Hangman Adam Page at ALL OUT, he is still a fighting champion. On Wednesday, he challenged a returning Komander and put the TNT Championship on the line. The winner will face Hologram next week on the 6-Year Anniversary episode of “Dynamite”.
At ALL OUT, Eddie Kingston made his long awaited return to the ring after 497 days to face Big Bill. Kingston was victorious and Bryan Keith had a problem with it. HOOK came out to even things up. Tonight, Kingston and HOOK will take on Bill and Keith.
Jamie Hayter competed in the 4-Way for the AEW Women’s Championship and one of her opponents was Thekla. Thekla’s actions in the match made them a non-factor in the result. In a promo, Hayter was fed up with Triangle of Madness and challenged any of them to step up. Julia Hart answered her challenge for tonight.
During the residency at 2300 Arena, Blake Christian and “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson attacked Jerry Lynn. Anthony Bowens and Max Caster fought them off. Against their will, Bowens and Caster are being forced to team up against Swirl.
AEW
This past Saturday’s edition of “AEW Collision” aired on TNT just one hour before AEW All Out, with the episode featuring the pre-show of the pay-per-view. Therefore, with “Collision” broadcasting during a different timeslot and only running for one-hour last weekend, its viewership numbers significantly dropped from the previous episode, which aired immediately after “AEW Dynamite.”
According to Wrestlenomics, “Collision” averaged 184,000 viewers and posted a 0.04 in the key 18-49 demographic, making it the least watched episode of the series this year and the third lowest audience the program has ever drawn. When comparing results from the previous instillment, total viewership declined by 66% after recording 535,000 preemptive viewers following “Dynamite.” This also meant that the 18-49 demo took a hit, with the category dropping by 67%. Although “Collision” was at a disadvantage by airing earlier in the day, the show’s average total viewership has plummeted by 24% since September 2024, with the key demographic being down by 45% since this time last year. This past summer, “Collision’s” numbers began to improve, with the program averaging an audience above the 300,000 mark for several weeks, but it has struggled to meet that threshold as of late.
Next month, the 2025-2026 NHL and NBA season will begin, meaning “Collision” will once again face stiff competition on Saturday nights. That said, AEW President Tony Khan has found success when airing the show either before or after numerous sporting events and could consider implementing that strategy again come October. Hopefully “Collision” will bounce back once it returns to its usual timeslot on Saturday, especially with both of AEW’s programs set to feature the aftermath of All Out.
NFL head coaches are usually the ones telling their players to hit hard on the field, but Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn was on the receiving end of one during Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota took off running and was shoved out of bounds right into Quinn. The head coach fell to the ground and was bleeding near the top of his nose when get got up, although Tom Schad of the Washington Postreported he was “all smiles as he jogs to the locker room” at halftime.
Mariota was only on the field because starting quarterback Jayden Daniels was sidelined with a sprained knee.
The Oregon product kept the offense afloat in the first half and went 9-of-13 for 85 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions while adding 41 yards and a score on the ground. His running ability was part of an overall effort by the Commanders to control the game with the rushing attack in Daniels’ absence.
Jeremy McNichols also scored on a 60-yard run, and Washington averaged 10.2 yards per carry in the first half.
But no carry made more headlines than the one by Mariota that ended with Quinn on the ground. Fortunately, the head coach appeared to be alright, and Matt Gay’s 56-yard field goal on the ensuing play to end the half likely made him feel even better.
It gave Washington a 20-10 advantage at intermission as the NFC East team attempted to move to 2-1 to start the season.
Quinn, who is in his second season as the head coach of the Commanders, will surely address his own status after the game.
