Tessa Blanchard made her return to CMLL during the October 1, episode of CMLL Informa. During the show, it was stated that while Blanchard is under contract with TNA, her deal allows her the chance to compete in CMLL.
It was confirmed that Blanchard will be in action for CMLL on October 10, though it is unclear who she will be facing. Blanchard last competed for CMLL in November 2024, where she lost to Persephone.
In July of this year, following her return to TNA Wrestling, Blanchard claimed on Refin It Up that she had been told that she could not perform for both TNA and CMLL. At the time, Blanchard was told that ‘alliances’ were the reason why she couldn’t work for both companies, though that has clearly changed.
While fans can expect to see Blanchard in CMLL, she has been absent from the ongoing storyline between TNA and WWE NXT. Blanchard has yet to appear at any invasion of WWE NXT programming and, despite being a top star in the Knockouts division, was not selected to represent TNA at the upcoming Showdownevent.
Blanchard remains a source of controversy among many fans, but both CMLL and TNA Wrestling are ready to work with her. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Blanchard’s work in the ring.
The next ROH World title defense is in a matter of days.
CMLL has revealed the card for their upcoming show in Mexico City this Friday in Arena Mexico. In the semifinal, Bandido will defend the ROH World Championship against Hechicero. This will be a rematch from Death Before Dishonor in August that saw Bandido retain the championship in a match of the year contender.
Since returning from injury, Bandido has kept a busy schedule, wrestling not only for AEW and ROH but also CMLL, where he has become a regular. Alongside Brody King, Brodido successfully defended the AEW Tag Team titles against Difunto and Zandokan Jr. on September 12. A few days later, they also successfully defended the titles in a four-way ladder match at All Out.
This Fridayâ€s Arena Mexico show will be headlined by a womenâ€s trios match that will see Olympia team up with India Sioux and La Catalina to take on Lluvia, Princesa Sugehit, and Candela.
CMLL for Friday, October 3
- Olympia, India Sioux, and La Catalina vs. Lluvia, Princesa Sugehit, and Candela
- ROH World Championship: Bandido defends against Hechicero
- Atlantis, Templario, and Atlantis Jr. vs. Ultimo Guerrero, Difunto, and Okumura
- La Jarochita, Skadi, and Tabata vs. Zeuxis, Persephone, and Sanely
- Rey Cometa, Fuego, and Espiritu Negro vs. Raider, Espanto Jr., and El Gallero

CMLL star Zandokan Jr. will be spending some time on the sidelines as he recovers from a knee injury.
On Instagram this week, Zandokan indicated that he would be out of action after suffering a knee injury on CMLL’s September 12 event. He worked a couple of dates after the injury, including still competing at the CMLL 92nd Aniversario, but Dave Meltzer confirmed that Zandokan will now be having surgery.
“He’s having knee surgery from the injury that he suffered a week ago Friday in the match with Bandido & Brody King against Zandokan & Difunto. So he’ll be out of action for a while, which is too bad. He was really having a year,” Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“He was a guy that they were really focusing on to build to being one of their top stars. He had had a really big year this year. He beat Star Jr. for his mask. He won the Copa Junior, beating Mascara Dorada in the finals. He’d gotten the championship match with MJF. He’d gotten the [AEW] Tag Team Championship match. Headlined a lot of shows. The trio [Galeon Fantasma] was on fire, but they’re going to have to pause for a while until he gets back.”
Along with his CMLL work, Zandokan is an entrant in MLW Opera Cup 2025 and has been set to appear at Fantastica Mania UK for RevPro next month. There haven’t been any announcements made by MLW or RevPro regarding his status.

Blue Panther on his relationship with Bryan Danielson
Blue Panther made his debut at MLW Fightland this month. He spoke with WrestleZone ahead of his debut and spoke about his relationship with Bryan Danielson, who has not been shy about his admiration for Blue Panther.
The pair faced off at CMLL Viernes Espectacular in April 2024. More recently, Danielson made the save for Panther at ROH Global Wars in June. Blue Panther said heâ€s seen a lot of great wrestlers in his career. However, none have surprised him the same way that Danielson has.
“In my 47 years of career, I have seen a lot of great superstars of wrestling. It doesnâ€t matter if itâ€s an American wrestler, a Japanese wrestler, but in my 47-year career of wrestling, thereâ€s only one. And it is Bryan Danielson, he surprised me a lot. I wrestled him here in Arena Mexico and only to raise his own hand in the ring, he made everything in Arena Mexico. So, I have a lot of admiration for Bryan Danielson.â€
“And even I saw Mexican legends like El Santo, Mil Máscaras, Perro Guayo. But no one like Bryan Danielson, here in Arena Mexico, as I repeat, even when he raised his own hand, he made everything here in Arena Mexico. So, I recognize that of Bryan Danielson.â€Â
Danielson wore Blue Pantherâ€s mask as a disguise during a run-in at AEW All In: Texas. Blue Panther says heâ€s grateful for the tribute to not only his mask, but Lucha Libre too.
“Iâ€m so grateful [for] Bryan Danielson, for my teachers, for all the legends that they can do these kind of things of my career, of my mask. Iâ€m so grateful for everything that they can do with my mask and Lucha Libre in the ring.†Â
