Despite being the last two undefeated teams remaining in the NFL and loaded with talent on the offensive side of the ball, the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles aren’t thrilling people across the league with their play.

Per The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the sentiment from coaches and players around the NFL about the two 4-0 clubs is that their style is “efficient” and “boring.”

The Eagles being described that way isn’t really a surprise since their own players are seemingly venting their frustrations about the offense, even as they have won 10 straight games and 20 of their last 21 dating back to Week 6 last season.

A description of the Bills using the word “boring” is odd for a team that has scored at least 30 points in all four games this season, boasts the reigning NFL MVP in Josh Allen who is playing arguably even better now than he did in 2024.

Allen has 964 passing yards, 159 rushing yards and has accounted for 10 touchdowns in four games. You could argue the Bills’ performances in their three wins since the thrilling 41-40 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 have left a lot to be desired.

The past two weeks, in particular, have felt a little bit like they were going through the motions in beating the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints in games that were closer than most fans and analysts expected them to be.

These feelings could also be a product of two teams that have been incredibly successful for several years at this point, so no one is going to pay that close attention unless things fall apart or until the playoffs begin.

For all of the concerns that have been raised about the Eagles, they still rank seventh in points per game and have scored 64 points over the past two games. They also provided arguably the highlight of the year thus far with Jordan Davis’ touchdown on a blocked field goal to seal the victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

If every team in the NFL were as “boring” and “efficient” as the Bills and Eagles, maybe there would be fewer bad teams than currently exist.

TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan poses on the ramp with her title before a segment on

WWE

Former NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan shocked the wrestling world when she won the TNA Knockouts Championship during her first appearance in the company last week. On Tuesday, she was named the captain of the women’s TNA team ahead of their Survivor Series-style match at the “WWE NXT” versus TNA Showdown special on Tuesday. It was something former Knockouts Champion and current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne didn’t take kindly to, calling Jordan a “traitor.” Jordan recently appeared on “Busted Open Radio” and spoke about where her loyalties lie ahead of Showdown.Â

“So Tuesday, we got people calling me a traitor on the ‘NXT’ side, but this time, the TNA people had my back,” Jordan explained. “But at the end of the day, I’m the champion. I carry this on my shoulder and my responsibility goes to being a champion, being a captain, leading my team to success. So yes, I’m an ‘NXT’ superstar and it’s always going to be in my heart, but right now, I’m a champion at TNA.”

Jordan chose former WWE stars and new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions the IInspiration (formerly the IIconics), Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee, and another former “NXT” star Mara Sade, formerly known as Jakara Jackson, for her team. She said on “Busted Open” that now, the real question was is she going to be okay with questions coming at her from both sides.

“Because I got TNA people, hopefully they can trust me, and I got my ‘NXT’ people saying I’m a traitor, not understanding I was picked as captain, so what would anyone else do?” she said.

The No. 25 BYU Cougars defeated the Colorado Buffaloes 24-21 on the road in a Big 12 matchup, as Buffs head coach Deion Sanders faced criticism from fans over clock mismanagement in the final minutes.

BYU improved to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in Big 12 play after Saturday’s win over conference rival Colorado. The Buffaloes dropped to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in league play after taking a 36-20 loss to Houston in Week 3 .

Kaidon Salter completed 11-of-16 passes for 119 yards, one passing touchdown and one on the ground with a game-ending interception throw. Salters connected with Dre’lon Miller for a touchdown who also added a rushing touchdown, finishing with 79 total yards.Â

Meanwhile, BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier had a standout game, completing 19-of-27 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns while adding 98 yards on the ground. Chase Roberts caught five receptions for 49 yards while hauling in two touchdowns and Cody Hagen added a score on the ground on his lone carry.Â

College football fans voiced frustration with Sanders’ clock management as Colorado trailed by three with possession in the final minutes.

The Buffaloes scored on their opening two possessions — first on a 3-yard run by Salter, followed by a 5-yard rushing touchdown from Miller — to jump out to a quick 14-0 lead. BYU responded with a field goal late in the quarter to make it 14-3 heading into the second.

The Cougars kept Colorado off the scoreboard in the second quarter and Bachmeier connected with Roberts for a touchdown to cut the deficit. BYU trailed 14-10 at the half.

Bachmeier and Roberts connected again in the third quarter, giving BYU its first lead of the game at 17-14. Colorado quickly answered as Salter found Miller for a 19-yard touchdown pass to reclaim the lead, 21-17, heading into the fourth.

BYU’s Hagen broke free for a 32-yard touchdown run on the Cougars’ first possession of the fourth quarter to retake the lead, 24-21.

BYU kicker Will Ferrin missed a 55-yard field goal that would have extended the lead to six with just over eight minutes remaining.

With 1:34 left, Salter and Colorado began driving, needing a touchdown to win or a field goal to tie. But on second-and-five with 50 seconds remaining, Salter threw an interception, sealing the win for the BYU Cougars.

The Buffs will hit the road to take on TCU next Saturday.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently got emotional while talking about his daughter, Ava, and her journey in the world of pro-wrestling. During a media event tied to his film The Smashing Machine, he paused, collected himself, and shared how proud he is of her for forging her own path.

Oh man, Iâ€m so proud of her,” The Rock said. “I am so proud of her because itâ€s what I did and I love what I did and I love wrestling, I grew up in wrestling. She was born into it too just like I was and when she said, ‘Hey, I wanna do what you do.†But the difference is — itâ€s where I get emotional because sheâ€s like, ‘I wanna do what you do… I wanna carve my own path,†and thatâ€s the difference and that was a big deal when I heard that.,” he added.

Iâ€m telling you, it never happened. I never got that call. Like, hey, can you call someone? I never got that call and thatâ€s the truth, and thatâ€s the thing that makes me proud… When you donâ€t get that call — look, I would have been there anyway. I would have made that call. But when you donâ€t get it, it gave me a profound sense of pride because I was like, alright, I helped, with her mom, raise an amazing human being.†(H/T: Fightful)

His remarks underscore two things: his love for the sport, and his admiration for a child who wants to earn her place rather than trade on a name. He acknowledged that, of course, he would have made calls if she had asked, but the fact that she never did made all the difference.

Ava’s Path in WWE NXT

Ava began her WWE journey at the Performance Center, where she trained extensively before making her on-screen debut in NXT. She was first introduced as a member of The Schism, a faction that gave her a platform to gain valuable experience and presence in front of fans.

Over time, she has transitioned into a leadership role, now serving as the General Manager of NXT. This position highlights WWEâ€s trust in her abilities and showcases how she is steadily carving out her own identity within the brand, separate from her fatherâ€s legacy.

She wasn’t available on the September 23 episode of NXT, which saw the invasion of TNA wrestlers during the main event of the night.

SAN FRANCISCO — With Dominic Smith likely to miss the rest of the regular season with a right hamstring strain, the Giants are turning to another left-handed-hitting first baseman to try to boost their playoff hopes down the stretch.

The Giants are calling up Bryce Eldridge, the clubâ€s No. 1 prospect per MLB Pipeline, to make his Major League debut, according to a report from Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Eldridge, 20, is expected to join the team in Arizona this week and could be an option to play first base or serve as the designated hitter now that Smith is out. The 6-foot-7 slugger is batting .249 with an .836 OPS and 18 home runs over 66 games with Triple-A Sacramento this year. He also crushed seven homers at Double-A Richmond earlier this season, giving him 25 across both levels.

Eldridge had hoped to be developed as a two-way player after he was selected by the Giants with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, but he ultimately committed to becoming a full-time first baseman last year. His defense isnâ€t quite as refined as his bat, but the Giants believe heâ€s made major strides at first base after working with instructors like Will Clark and J.T. Snow.

Eldridge is known for his huge raw power, though he also has some swing-and-miss in his game, as heâ€s struck out 88 times in 286 plate appearances (30.7%) at Triple-A Sacramento this year. The Giants will have to clear spots for him on the 40- and 28-man rosters to officially bring him into the fold on Monday.

The Giants (75-74) are currently 1 1/2 games behind the Mets for the third National League Wild Card spot with 13 games left to play, though the deficit is essentially 2 1/2 games since New York holds the tiebreaker.
