WWE legend compares Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, criticizing the latter.

Bret Hart has shared the squared circle with several legends throughout his illustrious, decade-long career. Some of these names include Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Roddy Piper, The Undertaker, and more. Some of them are remembered fondly by The Hitman, except for Goldberg, whom he has been criticizing for years. Now, the Hall of Famer doubles down on his thoughts about the former WCW star while talking about Brock Lesnar.

In a recent appearance on the Johnny 1 Pro Show, Bret Hart shared that there are several current WWE stars that he wished he could have wrestled, among them being Brock Lesnar. The Hitman stated that The Beast Incarnate was a professional and knew wrestling, unlike Goldberg.

I would like to wrestle Brock Lesnar. I’ve always understood that Brock Lesnar, like I heard that he wished that he had wrestled me one time. And I’ve always heard from different guys that Brock Lesnar is like a professional, like he’s really good. He’s not like Goldberg. I’m just saying, he knows what wrestling is all about, and he does it right, and some guys like Goldberg never understood it ever.”

Goldberg officially retired from in-ring competition on Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, 2025. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar is still actively competing in WWE. The latter is scheduled in a WarGames match on November 29 with Paul Heyman’s team.

WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart’s Hatred Over Goldberg Began In 1999 At WCW

Bret Hart officially retired from wrestling in October 2000. It was stated that one of the main contributors to this decision was because of his title match against Da Man.

At WCW Starrcade 1999, Bret defended his championship against his fellow WWE Hall of Famer. During the bout, the challenger kicked Hart, causing a concussion and the eventual end to The Hitman’s career. Since then, Bret has given many insults to Goldberg, including the statement that he was an unsafe worker.

This past Monday on “WWE Raw,” Brock Lesnar returned at the end of the episode to align himself with The Vision, Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre for Survivor Series. Before being interrupted by Roman Reigns, Lesnar unleashed a beatdown on Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, with the 48-year-old delivering his patented German suplexes to both competitors. Lesnar would eventually be taken out by Reigns, but WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray gave credit to “The Beast” for his appearance on Monday, and explained how he continues to prove that he’s better than the entire roster on “Busted Open Radio.”Â

“I popped huge when Brock came in the ring because Punk tried to kind of stop Brock and Brock just got behind Punk and rag dolled the living piss out of him and just threw him and then he picked him up again and he took a little bit better care of him … you can think who the hell you are in the WWE, your ego can be running rampant, you can think you’re all that and a bag of chips and then Brock Lesnar stands there and does whatever the f**k he wants to you and you can do nothing. And that’s what makes Brock better than everybody else in and out of the ring. Brock can manhandle you, if Brock Lesnar wants to he can expose you and tell the world in a second you’re not everything that you say you are.”Â

Bully also claimed that Lesnar aligning with Paul Heyman, who is currently “The Oracle” for The Vision, just felt right and predicted that fans will see both long-time friends together more often in 2026.

Brock Lesnar flexes on stage while heading to the ring before his Wrestlepalooza match with John Cena.

WWE

The men’s WarGames teams appear to be set after the main event segment of “WWE Raw” from Madison Square Garden in New York City Monday night, and a returning Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns evened out the field for the heel and babyface teams, respectively. Following a packed night of excitement, from John Cena’s final match on the red brand, to Maxxine Dupri winning the Women’s Intercontinental Championship with a little help from AJ Lee, the heel team came out to end the night.

Paul Heyman started to cut a promo, flanked by the team of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre. He said he had walked a lot of teams out to WarGames, but this was the best assembly of men for the match. He didn’t get too far in his promo before World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk’s music hit.

Punk was followed by Jey and Jimmy Uso, who entered from the crowd, then finally by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The babyfaces surrounded the heels in the ring, and a brawl ensued. As Punk motioned for the GTS in the ring on Paul, Lesnar’s music hit. Punk immediately went after “The Beast Incarnate,” but Lesnar overpowered him. Lesnar and Rhodes then stared each other down. Rhodes threw a right hand, but Lesnar hit him with multiple suplexes.

Right as the copyright graphic came up on the broadcast, Reigns’ music hit and he headed down the ramp while staring Lesnar down. When he got in the ring, Lesnar went for a spear, but Reigns hit him with a Superman Punch that sent him out of the ring. The brawling continues, and the NYPD came out to try and separate the men as the show went off the air.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar made their returns to WWE RAW tonight to fill out their respective Menâ€s WarGames teams at Survivor Series.

During the closing segment of RAW, during the Menâ€s WarGames Face-Off, there were no words exchanged, only fists as the eight announced participants of the match brawled all around the ringside area.

The babyface team quickly got the advantage, which led to the return of Brock Lesnar. The fifth and final man on Paul Heymanâ€s Vision WarGames Team.

Punk tried to attack Lesnar as he entered the ring and was absolutely obliterated. Cody Rhodes tried to assist but got beaten down as well. Triple H tried to pull his NXT “throw up the closing tag†to make you think the show was over, but out came Roman Reigns as the fifth man for the other team.

Reigns and Lesnar would face off in the ring, much to the delight of the Madison Square Garden crowd. Lesnar tried to attack first, but Reigns countered with a Superman Punch, sending Lesnar stumbling out of the ring.

This led to Bronson Reed attacking Reigns from behind. Reed tried to go for a Tsunami, but Reigns got back up before he could and hit him with a Superman Punch as well. The NYPD (thatâ€s what they said) gets involved to try and calm down the chaos as Reigns spears Reed through the barricade as RAW goes off the air.

Brock Lesnar made his return at WWE SummerSlam and immediately got to settling scores with his longtime opponent, John Cena. The two had a match at Wrestlepalooza, where Lesnar dominated Cena. However, The Beast Incarnate has been off television with no indication when he would be coming back.

However, a segment on tonight’s episode of RAW teased his return and indicated that he would be involved in a massive match.

Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return Match A First For The Beast Incarnate

On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman shocked the world when he added Drew McIntyre to his team for Survivor Series: WarGames, which consists of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul. This highly infuriated Nick Aldis, who had suspended McIntyre.

Aldis was seen meeting Adam Pearce and discussing the same; however, they were interrupted by Paul Heyman, who walked in and appreciated the posters for Survivor Series: WarGames and WrestleMania on Pearce’s walls. He then apologized to Aldis and Pearce and said he played within the rules. Heyman then told them that if they were angry at him picking McIntyre, they would definitely be incensed at his last pick and handed them a folder.

This is a major tease for The Beast Incarnate being a part of Heyman’s team, as they both had reunited during Wrestlepalooza, and Heyman’s admiration of the WrestleMania poster where Lesnar is present seems to indicate The Oracle making a 4D Chess move against CM Punk’s team.

He made his professional wrestling debut in the WWE in 2002, where he was tag-lined as “The Next Big Thing” and was managed by Paul Heyman. However, after he faced Goldberg at WrestleMania XX in 2004, Lesnar left the WWE for a professional football career with the Minnesota Vikings.

WWE has released a list of superstars who have moved the most merch in 2025.

The official WWE shop website released a list of ten superstars who have been the top sellers for the company so far in the year. The list includes expected names such as Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and John Cena, as well as breakout stars like Jacob Fatu.

One name who surprisingly made the list is AJ Lee, who has only had a brief run with WWE this year. The former Divas Champion made her much-anticipated return to the company during September 5 SmackDown.

Though she has not been seen since the September 20 WrestlePalooza PPV, where Lee teamed with CM Punk to defeat the duo of Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins:

Notable Names Missing From Top Sellers List

There are also a number of notable names missing from the list. Perhaps the most surprising is of Brock Lesnar, who the officials also brought back despite considerable backlash for a match with John Cena at WrestlePalooza.

Another name who missed out on the top ten is LA Knight. The former Max Dupri has remained over with the crowd. Fans have complained about his place on the card, but the ranking partially explains the reason officials have been reluctant in pushing him above his current status.

Other notable names who did not make the cut despite their popularity are Drew McIntyre, Stephanie Vaquer, The Wyatt Sicks, and Charlotte Flair.

The San Francisco 49ers will start Mac Jones at quarterback against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday while Brock Purdy continues to recover from his turf toe injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that Purdy is listed as questionable heading into the matchup with Los Angeles and could be active, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The fourth-year passer only appeared in two of San Francisco’s first nine contests of the season due to a turf toe injury that he suffered in a Week 1 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Purdy was sidelined for two games after sustaining the injury in the 49ers’ season-opener, returning to participate in a Week 4 clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars before aggravating the toe issue and subsequently missing the team’s next four games.

2025 marks the first year of Purdy’s career that he’s been seriously impacted by injuries, as he missed just three total games over the past two seasons combined.

The 2023 Pro Bowler wasn’t as efficient in the pocket during his two starts this year compared to the beginning of his 49ers tenure, completing 65.8 percent of his throws for 586 yards and four touchdowns compared to four interceptions.

San Francisco still sits at 6-3 and remains within the NFC playoff picture largely due to Jones stepping up from a reserve role, as he’s led the team to a 5-2 record in his seven starts.

WWE had the wrestling community in their palms and on the edge of their seats with their series of trailers over the weekend. Until a few hours ago, it was fully revealed to be about WrestleMania 42 and the combo ticket sales available.

The entire clip featured Triple H, Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Brock Lesnar. This led to heavy speculation on the potential main events for the epic annual showdown hosted by the company.

The backlash that came in after the reveal was for multiple reasons. Some called out top stars like Randy Orton, not being a part of it. Some highlighted the useless connotation of the theme, given how WrestleMania 42 was already promoted and featured, and there was no new aspect to the teaser, given the suspense around it.

The WWE WrestleMania 42 Teaser Received Backlash For Featuring Brock Lesnar Over Rhea Ripley

One crucial aspect that stood out to fans was that no female WWE stars were a part of the teaser. Especially, as pointed out by many, that someone of Rhea Ripley’s stature could’ve been featured and replace Brock Lesnar. Additionally, a debate sparked on social media on the bigger star in WWE in 2025 between Brock Lesnar and Rhea Ripley.

The Beast Incarnate’s nearly two-decade-long association with WWE and wrestling made him an impactful talent in the ring. His return after being named a part of the Janel Grant lawsuit divided the WWE Universe. He showed up at SummerSlam this year and set up a final match against John Cena at Wrestlepalooza in September.

.With his inclusion in the WrestleMania 42 teaser, fans were divided. No doubt Rhea Ripley is one of the biggest stars in WWE, not just in the women’s division but across the entire roster. Her association with The Judgment Day in 2022 saw her popularity surge despite being a heel.

The WWE WrestleMania 42 teaser sparked a debate online

WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium on April 18 and 19, 2026.
