Matt Hardy shares his thoughts after The Hardy Boyz†emotional win over The Dudleys at TNA Bound For Glory.

At TNA Bound For Glory, The Hardys Boyz defeated Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley in a brutal Tables Match to retain both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships, ending their epic rivalry in an emotional showdown.

Following the match, both teams showed respect by embracing in the ring. In a touching moment, Bully Ray and D-Von removed their boots and handed them to The Hardys, symbolizing the official retirement of The Dudleys.

Bully Ray has announced that his upcoming event at Jimmyâ€s Famous Seafood in Baltimore will now serve as his official “retirement party.†Meanwhile, Matt Hardy has opened up about The Hardy Boyzâ€s historic and emotional victory over The Dudleys.

He shared his reaction on X, formerly known as Twitter, reflecting on the emotional moment when The Hardys put Bully Ray through the table. He wrote, “This match def consisting of strong storytelling, @Graannt. It wasnâ€t meant to be a Flair/HBK finish, it had our own personal spin on it. Not to be disrespectful towards the rest of the amazing roster on this show, but this is the match that set the new attendance record. People cared about the Hardy/Dudley rivalry. Doesnâ€t matter what internet nobodies say on social media, The Hardy Boyz sell tickets in 2025.â€

“The Hardys/Dudleys match at BFG 2025 reminds me of The Final Deletion from 2016. Itâ€s initially gonna be polarizing & people will either love it or hate it. As time passes, people will look back at this match as a masterclass performed by four 30 year+ grizzled vets. This match was historic & special. Iâ€m proud of myself, @JEFFHARDYBRAND , @bullyray5150 & @TestifyDVon for making magic together one final time. Thank you for the opportunity & platform, @ThisIsTNA.â€

One week after their Winner Takes All victory over DarkState at “WWE NXT” x TNA Showdown, Matt and Jeff Hardy are returning to “NXT” grounds at the WWE Performance Center. Matt confirmed as such on X.

“We’ll see ya tonight at #WWENXT, @ShawnMichaels!” Matt wrote, quoting a backstage video of the Hardys shared by “NXT” head booker Shawn Michaels. “We’re proud to be repping @WWENXT as the tag champs.”

Heading into Showdown, Matt and Jeff carried the TNA World Tag Team Championships with ambitions to also add on the NXT Tag Team Championships, which had thus far eluded them in their careers. That, of course, all changed when the legendary brothers defeated DarkStates’ Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox in a title-for-title match. Matt and Jeff then went on to successfully defend both the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championships against Team 3D (Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley) at TNA Bound For Glory on October 12. Afterward, Bully and D-Von removed their wrestling boots and handed them to the Hardys.

As of now, it is unclear if Matt and Jeff will wrestle on “NXT” tonight or appear in some other capacity. Elsewhere, a battle royal has been announced, with women from “NXT” and TNA competing for a future shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Matt Cardona will also mark his “NXT” in-ring return when he takes on Josh Briggs in singles action. Zaria will face Blake Monroe, while Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. battles former NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King.

WWE had a huge role to play during TNA Bound for Glory’s controversial finish.

On October 12th, TNA Wrestling held one of its biggest shows ever in Bound for Glory 2025. While The Hardy Boyz retained their dual titles and Mike Santana won the World Championship, the X-Division Championship match between Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans ended in a no-contest after The Dark State interfered.

Initially, the match finished in a time-limit draw, following which TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that the match would instead continue until a finish occurred. However, soon, NXT’s Dark State interfered and caused a no-contest finish. The controversial finish was called out by both fans and critics, and the creative decision to not provide a clear winner in one of the most hyped matches of the night was heavily criticized.

Soon enough, sources close to Sports Illustrated (The Takedown on SI) noted that WWE had a significant say in the match’s creative and booking direction. WWE and TNA are currently working together on booking decisions and the use of talent as part of their working partnership.

Sports Illustrated was further notified that even before the positive reaction for the Bound for Glory match arrived, Evans and Slater were already planned to have another singles match soon. Currently, Halloween Havoc is being discussed as the potential next stage for them to collide.

Former WWE Star Believes TNA Can Overtake AEW To Become The Official Number Two

Last month, in an interview with Lucha Libre Online, Santino Marella openedup about TNA’s recent growth and how the promotion could soon overtake AEW.

Yeah, itâ€s incredible. People from TNA in the past are happy for us, and the current locker room is ecstatic about the growth. When I came here, it was not like this. Sometimes we were in Nashville or even in Toronto with 350 to 500 people, but we believed in ourselves.

Now we have the audience size that feels right, and we deliver every time. Every time weâ€ve had a sold-out crowd, weâ€ve never had a bad show. Weâ€ve never wasted an opportunity, and Lowell, Massachusetts, Bound for Glory is going to be another one. Weâ€re going to capitalize on that audience. Weâ€re going to send the message out to the wrestling world: weâ€re here, weâ€re knocking on the door, and you better look out. Once we get that TV deal, weâ€re number two.

I know Tony Khan has lots of money, I get it. But the fans speak. The fans dictate whoâ€s number one, number two, or number three. not your bank account. Of course, WWE is number one. Theyâ€re so far ahead weâ€ll never catch them in my lifetime.

But number two is attainable. Number two is really something we can do, and if we accomplish that, itâ€s humongous.â€

TNA Wrestlingâ€s Bound For Glory pay-per-view on October 12, 2025 featured an X-Division Championship match between Leon Slater and Jeâ€Von Evans. The contest was part of the ongoing crossover between TNA and WWEâ€s NXT brand. However, fans didnâ€t like how it ended in a time-limit draw.

After fans protested the inconclusive finish with chants of “Bullsh*t,†TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella restarted the match for five more minutes. The restart created new energy, and Evans appeared close to victory before the arena lights suddenly went out.

The interruption led to the arrival of NXTâ€s DarkState faction. They attacked both wrestlers and ended the match without a decisive winner. Now we know that WWE had a hand in that.

Jon Alba reports on SI that WWE played a major role in determining the controversial ending of the Leon Slater vs. Jeâ€Von Evans match at Bound For Glory. Obviously, they wanted to see the result that we got on the pay-per-view.

We will have to see how things pan out in this situation. Fans really want to see Jeâ€Von Evans and Leon Slater go at each other again. They had a fantastic match, but the conclusion left a lot on the table.

Only time will tell if WWE plans on continuing this storyline with Leon Slater and Jeâ€Von Evans. The fact is that WWE didnâ€t want Evans looking bad, and that run-in from DarkState certainly gave them a reason to make an additional pay-per-view appearance.

Following their historic and emotional victory over their legendary rivals, Team 3D, at the TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view, Matt Hardy has shared his thoughts on the match and the shocking post-match retirement ceremony. The Hardys defeated Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley in a brutal Tables Match to retain both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships, bringing an end to their 27-year rivalry.

Speaking in a post-show interview, Matt Hardy discussed his confidence going into the match, but also his genuine shock at what transpired after the bell.

“I knew we were going to go to war with Team 3D, I was confident we would beat Team 3D. Weâ€ve been on an absolute regular grind, weâ€re doing well for ourselves, especially at our age. Weâ€re both very healthy, very physically fit. Those guys havenâ€t done this in a while, so I thought we would be able to pull off the win tonight and get that W, establish ourselves as the greater of the two teams. They came out looking for a knockout, no doubt, 3Ds right off the jump, right out of the gate. But what I was shocked about was that when the match ended, they took off their boots. They called it a career, I did not expect that. And they gave us their boots, which was the ultimate sign of respect.â€

Hardy also reflected on what has been one of the most successful and decorated weeks of his entire career, in which The Hardy Boyz captured three different sets of tag team championships.

“What a week. We became the NXT Tag Team Champions, we became House Of Glory Tag Team Champions, and then we went on to retire Team 3D, the Dudley Boyz, our biggest nemesis over the last quarter of a century. If you donâ€t think weâ€re the best in the game right now, I donâ€t know what youâ€re thinking. I have four words for everyone, the GOATs are here.â€

AJ Styles has spoken out after seeing Frankie Kazarian break out one of his signature moves during Bound For Glory 2025.

The October 12 pay-per-view from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, delivered plenty of big moments, including the unprecedented ending of the Call Your Shot gauntlet match where Kazarian and Nic Nemeth were declared co-winners.

During the gauntlet, Kazarian caught Steve Maclin with a Pele Kick that instantly reminded fans of Styles†classic offense. The Phenomenal One noticed the move and dropped his reaction on Twitter with a short but pointed response, “ðŸ˜â€

Kazarian followed up the Pele Kick with an Angel Wings, the trademark of Christopher Daniels. The timing drew even more attention since Styles himself had used an Angel Wings against John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel in their own throwback-heavy clash.

While Bound For Gloryâ€s main event saw Mike Santana defeat Trick Williams to win the TNA World Championship, Kazarianâ€s decision to pull out a move made famous by Styles added an extra layer of buzz to the show. Styles†reaction made it clear that he recognized the moment and appreciated the nod to his arsenal.

Do you think Frankie Kazarian using AJ Styles†move was a respectful nod, or should Styles step back into a TNA ring one day to show how itâ€s really done? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.

TNA Wrestlingâ€s Bound For Glory 2025 ended with a twist nobody saw coming. The October 12 pay-per-view from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, closed with Mike Santana defeating Trick Williams to capture the TNA World Championship. But the real shock came moments later when Elijah made his surprise return.

Nic Nemeth hit the ring after the main event, trophy in hand, ready to cash in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet win. Just as it looked like the former Dolph Ziggler was about to strike, the lights went out. When they came back on, Elijah was standing there. The former Elias didnâ€t hesitate — he smashed a guitar over Nemethâ€s head, taking him completely out of the picture.

Frankie Kazarian quickly tried to take advantage of the chaos by cashing in his own trophy, since he and Nemeth shared the win earlier in the night. Before he could do any damage, Santana drilled him with a Spin The Block, keeping the championship around his waist to officially close the show.

Elijahâ€s return came after months away due to a torn triceps injury he suffered on the June 18 episode of WWE NXT. At the time, the injury required surgery and pulled him off TNAâ€s scheduled summer tapings. Before that setback, he had been building momentum across multiple promotions, including WWE, TNA, and North Shore Pro Wrestling. His last TNA match before surgery happened on June 7, when he teamed with Joe Hendry, Leon Slater, and The Rascalz to defeat Moose, Steve Maclin, The Nemeths, and Trick Williams.

Seeing Elijah back on such a big stage instantly raises questions about his role in TNA moving forward. The crowd erupted at Bound For Glory, and with Santana standing tall as champion, the former Elias might be entering the companyâ€s top storyline in a major way.

Elijahâ€s return at Bound For Glory couldnâ€t have been timed better, and fans are already speculating on whether heâ€ll stand beside Santana or step into his way.

Do you think Elijah is about to become one of the top stars in TNA after this return? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.

It was the last time for the Hardy Boyz and The Dudleys on Sunday.

In the co-main event of TNA Bound for Glory, The Hardys and The Dudleys met in what was billed as a One Final Table match. Brother Runt, aka Spike Dudley, accompanied the Dudleyz to the ring as they were identified by both their WWE and TNA names, wearing their WWE gear and glasses.

The first to be eliminated was Jeff Hardy after the Dudleys put Jeff through a table with a 3D. Jeff retaliated by putting D-Von through a table after hitting a swanton bomb off a ladder. This left the Hardys to go after Bubba Ray, who attempted to remain in the match but the Hardys whittled him down with chair shots. Bubba struggled to get to his feet and ultimately gave up, allowing himself to be put through a table by both Hardys to give them the win.

After the match, the Hardys were given their NXT and TNA Tag Team titles by TNA President Carlos Silva as the Dudleyz recovered. Both teams hugged as the Hardys started to leave. However, the Dudleyz stopped them and started to take off their boots, giving them to the Hardys as a sign of their retirement. Both teams embraced as The Dudleys made their exit, allowing The Hardys to celebrate back in the ring.

The two teams are best known for their rivalry dating back to 2000 when they, alongside Edge & Christian, battled in the first TLC matches in WWE history.
