It appears Cincinnati Bengals inside linebacker Logan Wilson is drawing interest from several teams ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday that the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts “have expressed some level of interest” in Wilson.

Wilson asked for a trade after seeing his playing time decrease this season, ESPN’s Ben Baby reported on October 23. While he has started in all seven of his appearances in 2025, rookies Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight Jr. have cut into his opportunities.

Cincinnati selected Wilson with a third-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, and he established himself as a starter and a key figure on the defense by his second season.

He entered the 2025 campaign with four straight years of 100 or more tackles, including last season when he tallied 104 tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pass defended in just 11 games.

Wilson was named a team captain at the start of the 2025 season and figured to be one of the defense’s most important players.

But that has not been the case.

Baby noted he played 47.5 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in the most recent victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers after playing just 19.7 percent of the snaps in the previous game against the Green Bay Packers.

Despite not playing as much of late, it still hasn’t impacted his leadership role as a captain.

“It hasn’t changed our relationship at all,” Carter said. “I still lean on him heavily with stuff, still ask him questions every single day. He’s been a great leader, just like the man he is since the day I got here.”

Wilson is signed with the Bengals for two more seasons after the 2025 one, so honoring the request and trading him ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline would take away a defender the front office surely planned to have in the middle of the defense for multiple more seasons.

But those plans may have changed anyway with this year’s shift to younger players.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is expected to miss this week’s game against the Buffalo Bills after suffering a high-ankle sprain during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, according to Tom Pelissero fo NFL Network.

Young left the game late in the third quarter after appearing to get stepped on while he was being sacked. Andy Dalton replaced him at quarterback.

Young was 15-of-25 for 138 yards and a touchdown before exiting the contest, taking one sack. He also rushed for 10 yards.

It’s been an up-and-down season for Young, who had three interceptions in the team’s first two games (both losses) but has a 7-to-2 touchdown-to-interception since.

In turn, the Panthers have turned an 0-2 start into a 4-3 record after Sunday’s 13-6 win. The Panthers won all of five games last season.

The story of the 2024 season was Young’s rough start and subsequent benching, though he was reinstated as the starter after Andy Dalton was injured in a car accident. Young was much better after returning, leading the team to a 4-6 record down the stretch after a 1-7 start.

Whether the 2023 No. 1 overall pick has proven he’s truly a franchise quarterback—or worth the price of two first-round picks and wideout DJ Moore that the Panthers dealt to move up to that selection—remains to be seen. But by the end of last year and into this season, he at least was trending in a better direction after a rough start to his career.

With Young reportedly expected to miss the game against the Bills, Dalton would return to starting duties. He was 4-of-7 for 60 yards in relief duty on Sunday.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills suffered their second straight defeat on Monday night at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons.

The surprising result led to a major shift in betting odds for both Super Bowl and MVP:

Though Allen remains a favorite, he is tied with Patrick Mahomes at +200 to win MVP, just ahead of Baker Mayfield (+400).

Allen and the Buffalo offense turned in an underwhelming performance Monday without the injured Dalton Kincaid and Curtis Samuel.

Allen had some questionable moments, including a shovel pass to the outside on a fourth down late in the third quarter.

The disappointing performance was capped by an interception as the Bills drove down the field late in the game.

Allen didn’t receive much help from his supporting cast. Joshua Palmer led the Bills with 60 receiving yards, but that came on two catches. Buffalo’s No. 1 wide out, Khalil Shakir, only had 33 receiving yards.

The lackluster showing from the Bills looked even worse in comparison to the Falcons. Bijan Robinson had 238 total yards, 170 of which came on the ground, and Drake London posted 158 receiving yards.

Buffalo has a chance to rest during its Week 7 bye. After that, the Bills have a Week 8 trip to Carolina before they face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.

The Buffalo Bills benched wide receiver Keon Coleman for the first series of their 23-20 home loss to the New England Patriots last Sunday evening due to “discipline” reasons, per head coach Sean McDermott to reporters.

On Thursday, Coleman took full responsibility for his actions and noted what he’s looking to do moving forward, per ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg.

“Just being what I’m supposed to be, doing what I’m supposed to do and showing that level of maturity,” Coleman said.

The former Florida State star also spoke about the benching in general, noting he’s better than that “as a person and individual.”

Bills quarterback Josh Allen was asked if he felt he needed to say anything to Coleman, and he provided this response.

“I think [Coleman] understands, I think he knows. At the end of the day, this locker room, this team, you don’t ever want to let your teammates down and I think he understands that, and he doesn’t want to let us down. We move forward.”

As for the game, it was a tough loss for the Bills, who dropped their first matchup of the season. Coleman did end up making an impact, catching four passes for 23 yards and a touchdown.

For the season, Coleman is second on the Bills in receptions (21), third in receiving yards (226) and tied for second in receiving touchdowns (two).

Buffalo will look to improve to 5-1 on Sunday when the team visits the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.

The New England Patriots’ social media team had the perfect image ready to celebrate a 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

The Pats called back to the quick embrace between former teammates Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen last year, when Diggs left an unmistakable side-eye toward his old quarterback:

Diggs, who finished with 10 receptions for 146 yards, had his best performance since his trade from Buffalo to the Houston Texans in April 2024.

The four-time Pro Bowler acknowledged after the game his return to Orchard Park, New York, carried a little extra edge. He told NBC Sports’ Melissa Stark it was “100 percent” personal.

“Obviously, I love those guys,” he said. “Still got a good relationship with those guys. Got a lot of respect for ’em. But I love the game of football more. And every time I go out here, I’m trying to prove it. Not only to them, but to myself.”

Diggs and the Bills had a productive four years together. He was one of the NFL’s best wideouts during that time, and Buffalo claimed an AFC East title each year. By 2024, the dynamic had run its course, however.

In general, there were broad concerns Diggs might be losing a step, and one Bills source told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler in October 2024 that “he offense didn’t need him anymore.”

Perhaps it’s not a total coincidence the 31-year-old wound up on a team that assured him of two meetings with Buffalo moving forward.

Despite being the last two undefeated teams remaining in the NFL and loaded with talent on the offensive side of the ball, the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles aren’t thrilling people across the league with their play.

Per The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the sentiment from coaches and players around the NFL about the two 4-0 clubs is that their style is “efficient” and “boring.”

The Eagles being described that way isn’t really a surprise since their own players are seemingly venting their frustrations about the offense, even as they have won 10 straight games and 20 of their last 21 dating back to Week 6 last season.

A description of the Bills using the word “boring” is odd for a team that has scored at least 30 points in all four games this season, boasts the reigning NFL MVP in Josh Allen who is playing arguably even better now than he did in 2024.

Allen has 964 passing yards, 159 rushing yards and has accounted for 10 touchdowns in four games. You could argue the Bills’ performances in their three wins since the thrilling 41-40 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 have left a lot to be desired.

The past two weeks, in particular, have felt a little bit like they were going through the motions in beating the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints in games that were closer than most fans and analysts expected them to be.

These feelings could also be a product of two teams that have been incredibly successful for several years at this point, so no one is going to pay that close attention unless things fall apart or until the playoffs begin.

For all of the concerns that have been raised about the Eagles, they still rank seventh in points per game and have scored 64 points over the past two games. They also provided arguably the highlight of the year thus far with Jordan Davis’ touchdown on a blocked field goal to seal the victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

If every team in the NFL were as “boring” and “efficient” as the Bills and Eagles, maybe there would be fewer bad teams than currently exist.

Josh Allen and Drake Maye could be facing each other for years to come in the AFC East, and the Buffalo Bills quarterback likes what he sees from his counterpart ahead of Sunday’s matchup.

“It’s a tough team coming in to play, I think Drake Maye is playing really good football,” Allen said during a discussion with Fox’s Mark Sanchez about the New England Patriots (8:45 mark). “I’m such a big fan of his. He’s such a good guy. He’s playing pretty good.”

Allen has already established himself as one of the best players in the league as the reigning MVP. He is the current gold standard in the division, and Maye is working toward attempting to close that gap in his second season.

The signs of improvement are already there for the North Carolina product, who was solid but inconsistent last season as a rookie with 15 touchdown passes to 10 interceptions on the way to a 3-9 record as a starter.

Through four games this year, he has completed 74 percent of his passes for 988 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions while adding two scores on the ground.Â

New England is 2-2 but coming off a dominant 42-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Playing on the road against the 4-0 Bills will be a much more daunting challenge, but it is also something of a measuring-stick opportunity for a Patriots squad with playoff aspirations.

While they might not win, keeping it close against Allen and Co. could be a sign they are much closer to being a potential threat in the AFC than they were last season.

And it is clear Allen believes his opponent has the quarterback for the job.
