WWE and TNA have moved forward with their working relationship in a major way this year. The recent historic showdown between The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz saw the legends take more than a few brutal bumps, and one veteran has just revealed how he suffered an injury.

D-Von Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley officially retired after losing to Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy at TNA’s 21st Bound For Glory PPV, held on October 12 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA. The co-main event of the evening ended just under 16 minutes, and saw Matt and Jeff retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship and the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship in a Tables Match to make Team 3D’s retirement official.

Brother Devon recently appeared on the Duke Loves Rasslin podcast and revealed that he suffered a shoulder injury during the match at Bound For Glory, which was billed as One Final Table as it took place 25 years after Matt and Jeff defeated D-Von and Bubba Ray in the first-ever Tag Team Tables Match at the 2000 WWE Royal Rumble.

WWE Legend D-Von Dudley Injured In Trying To Protect Opponent At TNA Bound For Glory

Jeff Hardy previously revealed how he suffered a cut on the back of his head while protecting D-Von Dudley on a ladder bump at TNA Bound For Glory. Regarding D-Von’s shoulder injury, he recalled how the unfortunate incident occurred when he and the wrestler also known as Bully Ray delivered a 3D in the first minute of the brutal match, while trying to protect Matt Hardy.

D-Von noted that he was hurting so bad he couldn’t move his arm the next day.

“I actually jarred my shoulder coming down on the 3D in the first 30 seconds of the match. I jarred my shoulder trying to protect Matt instead of just falling flat on my back. I went to my side and came down on my elbow, which shot up into my shoulder so badly that the next day I couldnâ€t move my arm,” D-Von Dudley said.

The Dudleyz retired as one of the most-decorated tag teams in wrestling history, with 10 championship reigns in WWE, 3 in TNA, 2 in NJPW, and 8 in ECW, among other title wins in smaller promotions. The 2014 TNA Hall of Famers, who are the inaugural World Tag Team Champions, were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

TORONTO, ON – JULY 21: Aaron Judge #99 of the New York Yankees makes a throw in the outfield during a game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on July 21, 2025 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Photo by Vaughn Ridley/Getty Images)

In the seventh inning of Tuesday’s Game 1 of the Yankees-Red Sox Wild Card series, Eric Sogard hit what appeared to be a line-drive single to right field to put runners on the corners with Boston trailing 1-0.

Though the ball was hit into the gap, nothing about it seemed to indicate that Sogard would have a chance to stretch it into a double. Sogard has plus speed, but when Aaron Judge fielded the ball, Sogard had just rounded first base. He had to run roughly 85 feet before Judge could throw a ball 170 feet.

In any kind of normal situation, Sogard likely would have slammed on the brakes. But the Red Sox know what anyone scouting the Yankees in the playoffs will know: Aaron Judge can’t really throw since returning from a flexor strain injury.

Judge’s throw to second base was just 73.2 mph. That meant it only carried 137 feet in the air, then bounced the rest of the way. Sogard just beat the throw. That meant that when Masataka Yoshida singled to center, Sogard was able to score instead of just advancing to third. The Red Sox got no more hits in the inning, so Sogard likely would have been stranded at third. Instead, he scored the go-ahead run.

This is a perfect example of how little moments can change playoff series. It’s not Judge’s fault. When he went down with a flexor strain in late July, the Yankees’ offense understandably suffered. He hurried back, and his bat has been the driving force in the Yankees’ run to the playoffs. He still fields his position solidly, as he showed to catch a screaming line drive from Nathaniel Lowe to end that seventh inning.

But he can’t throw because his arm isn’t healthy.

Pre-injury, Judge maxed out at 95.3 mph. He had 11 throws of 90+ mph, 25 throws of 85+ mph and 42 throws of 80+ mph. He could regularly reach back to throw a ball 200+ feet if needed.

Post-injury, Judge’s hardest throw is an 85.8 mph throw on Sept. 24. He only has one other 80+ mph throw. More often, even on sacrifice flies and throws to try to catch runners going to second, he’s unable to uncork a throw harder than the mid 70s. His 73.2 mph throw was actually his fourth-hardest since the IL stint. He’s twice failed to top 70 mph on a throw on a sacrifice fly.

To put that in perspective, only five of 195 qualified MLB outfielders in 2025 averaged under 80 mph with their throws. Daulton Varsho (73.7 mph) was the only one to average under 77.

Ideally, Judge’s ailing arm would mean he would DH to avoid having a liability in right field on key throws. But Giancarlo Stanton’s defense and risk of injury if he moves to the outfield narrows the Yankees†options. Judge is a rangy right fielder with a poor arm. Stanton is a range-limited outfielder who has struggled to stay healthy when he plays in the outfield regularly.

So, Judge will keep playing right field. He is the best hitter in baseball and one of the best the game has ever seen. He’s also a good fielder with an above-average arm when he’s healthy. But from now until the end of the playoffs, his throws from the outfield will be a liability.

In May this year, Shotzi parted ways with WWE, ending her six-year tenure with the promotion. While many fans have wanted her to either return to WWE or sign with AEW, Shotzi has since been competing on the independent circuit, where she seems to be enjoying herself. Unfortunately, she recently suffered a broken arm, just as she was finding her footing.

“When I first got back on the indies, I was thinking like: oh, well, like if WWE or AEW hit me up, I’m, you know, I’m gonna take whatever comes at me!” she admitted during an interview with “TMZ Sports” recently. “Like, I don’t want to go back on TV, I want to, like, rehab my arm and get my strength back, so that plays into it too. I really just want to like, finish off this year and just have, like, a really good time on the indies…If I go back to TV, I’m like at full Shotzi-potential, full ballsy bada**, and I have all of my strength back in my arm.”

Shotzi has surprisingly been wrestling with a broken arm for much longer than most fans realize.Â

“I took a steel chair to my arm while I was doing a dive, and I knew immediately,” she recalled when asked if getting her arm run over by her tank was the moment she injured herself. Shotzi then added that she pushed through the aforementioned match despite knowing her arm was broken. Shotzi got more X-rays on her arm and admitted that multiple doctors said she needed surgery. Shotzi didn’t want to stop her momentum on the indies and asked for a thicker cast. Shotzi also added that her doctor was worried that she might lose rotation in her arm permanently, but recent X-rays have put her at ease.Â

“I think we’re good and I just need a few more weeks in the cast while I’m wrestling and, yeah, we’re going to be golden,” Shotzi said.

The Los Angeles Chargers jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first half of Monday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, but it wasn’t all good news for the visitors.

Pass-rusher Khalil Mack was ruled out for the remainder of the game because of an elbow injury. He was seen on the sidelines with his arm in a sling.

Mack was limited to just seven games in 2021 but has otherwise been durable throughout his career.

He appeared in at least 14 games in each of his other 10 seasons since he entered the league as the No. 5 overall pick of the 2014 NFL draft, including when he played 16 contests in his age-33 season in 2024.

However, it seems like the Buffalo product may miss some time moving forward following Monday’s setback.

Mack has been more than just durable during his dominant career. He has also been one of the league’s best defensive players with a list of accomplishments that includes the 2016 Defensive Player of the Year, three First-Team All-Pro nods and nine Pro Bowl selections.

While he is 34 years old and perhaps not as unstoppable as he once was, he was still a Pro Bowler last season and is just one full year removed from when he posted 17 sacks during the 2023 campaign.

He also figured to be even more important for the Chargers’ defensive front this season with Joey Bosa no longer on the roster, but it will be up to others to anchor the pass rush until he is ready to return.

That could mean more playing time for Bud Dupree or Caleb Murphy in the immediate future.
