LAS VEGAS — Golden Knights starting goaltender Adin Hill left Monday’s 4-1 win against Carolina with an apparent leg injury midway through the first period with Vegas up 1-0.
After making a save, Hill went down to the ice and stayed there for several minutes.
After a brief discussion on the ice with team trainer Kyle Moore, teammates Zach Whitecloud and William Karlsson helped Hill to the bench. Hill maneuvered his way to the tunnel but struggled to put weight on his left leg.
Hill left the Golden Knights’ game in Calgary on Oct. 14 after the first period and missed the team’s next game against Boston.

He picked up his first win of the season Saturday, when he stopped 26 shots during a 6-1 win over Calgary.
Hill was replaced by Akira Schmid, who entered 3-0 with a 3.00 goals-against average and .879 save percentage.
The Golden Knights open a three-game road trip at Florida on Saturday. If Hill cannot travel, the team likely would call up Carl Lindbom from its AHL club, the Silver Knights.
The Golden Knights were already dealing with other injuries, after placing captain Mark Stone on injured reserve just before the game, and missing forward Brett Howden and defenseman Noah Hanifin.
Vegas recently signed Carter Hart to a professional tryout contract, as he became the first of the five 2018 Canada world junior hockey players to land an NHL contract since they were acquitted of sexual assault in a high-profile case.
Hart, Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton are not eligible to play until Dec. 1 as part of the league’s reinstatement process.

This past Wednesday on “AEW Dynamite,” Kenny Omega returned to in-ring action when he teamed with Brodido to defeat Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks in a Six Man Tag Team Match. However, after the contest, Omega was attacked by a returning Andrade El Idolo, who was just released from WWE two weeks ago and will seemingly feud with the Canadian native going forward. The creative decision to have Omega and Andrade begin a rivalry confused many wrestling fans and pundits, who believed “The Best Bout Machine” would feud with Kyle Fletcher upon his return, especially since it was “The Protostar” who put Omega on the shelf. That said, according to Dave Meltzer in a recent edition of the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter,” AEW has pressed pause on the match between Omega and Fletcher to due the 41-year-old’s health status.
“Plus, it looks like [Andrade is] facing Kenny Omega … That means Omega was injured by Kyle Fletcher, and instead of coming back to face Fletcher, he’s facing someone else. There is a reason that right now they aren’t going to do the match, as basically in a normal situation that would have been the match booked but Omega’s physical situation is not 100 percent and the feeling was it was better right now not to put Omega in the situation of the kind of a match he’d be expected to do with Fletcher.”
Meltzer continued to explain that he was told that Omega and Fletcher would’ve been scheduled for WrestleDream on Saturday, October 18 in a “perfect world,” but it’s expected that Andrade will instead face the former AEW World Champion at the pay-per-view.

Knicks’ Josh Hart ejected from preseason opener after apparent injury, flinging ball into the stands
New York Knicks forward Josh Hart was ejected from the teamâ€s 2025-26 NBA preseason-opening matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for throwing the ball into the stands after appearing to suffer a non-contact injury early in the second quarter.
After rebounding a missed 3-pointer from Sixers rookie Johni Broome, Hart turned and began to dribble up the court. As Philadelphia guard Kennedy Chandler gave chase, Hart stumbled and slipped down to the floor, wincing in pain as he went down; Chandler reached down to tie him up, forcing a jump ball.

Once the whistle blew, a frustrated Hart flung the ball away before rolling and writhing in front of the 76ers†bench, with Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse leaning down to check on him. Hart stayed down for a few moments before getting up, seemingly favoring his lower back and walking gingerly back to the Knicks†locker room. He wouldnâ€t come back out: The ball-toss earned him a technical foul and an ejection, bringing a premature end to his preseason debut. Hart finished with 2 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in just over seven minutes of playing time.
After starting all 77 of his regular-season appearances in 2024-25, Hart came off the bench for the preseason opener, as new Knicks head coach Mike Brown opted to start big men Mitchell Robinson and Karl-Anthony Towns together — in keeping with a change that predecessor Tom Thibodeau made (at Hartâ€s behest) during the Knicks†Eastern Conference finals loss to the Pacers in May and in a potential preview of a starting lineup change that was one of a number of topics of discussion at Knicks media day prior to their trip to Abu Dhabi. Brown cautioned against reading too much into preseason practices and combinations, saying the teamâ€s starting lineup “will materialize throughout camp†and he planned to “be methodical with [his] approach†in determining a starting five for the beginning of the regular season.

Whether he starts or comes off the bench, though, Hart — fresh off a career year, averaging 13.6 points on 52.5% shooting to go with 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.5 steals in a league-leading 37.6 minutes per game last season — is expected to play a major role on a Knicks team that enters the season harboring championship aspirations. Heâ€s already working through an issue with his right ring finger that has him playing with a splint on his shooting hand; the Knicks and their fans will hope that the back injury that led to him grimacing on the ground before heaving the ball and getting the heave-ho isnâ€t serious enough to compound his physical woes at the start of the season.
