[HOUR ONE]
-Joe Tessitore introduced the show as a drone flew over a neighborhood in Anaheim, Calif. and then a shot of the arena. They showed Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss sharing a coffee drink backstage. Then Penta striking a pose as he rolled his bag backstage. They cut to the arena. As the camera panned the audience, Tessitore said, “This is the type of card that brings a sellout here.”
-A video package aired on Jey Uso winning a battle royal last week on Raw to earn a match against no. 1 contender C.M. Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Title.
-They showed the belt in the ring. Jey Uso then made his full ring entrance. He “eyed the prize,” as Tessitore put it, as Jey entered the ring. Tessitore said it’s been six months since that “magic night at WrestleMania” and he wants it again. They “ran it back.” Fans were into it, but when the music stopped nearly ten full minutes into the show at this point, fans loudly chanted, “C.M. Punk!”
Jey said he has a lot of people in his ears these days including Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso, plus “everyone’s mama.” He said he doesn’t give a damn what they think about him, though. He said it’s just him who is going to be in the ring against Punk on Saturday night and he’s going to become a two-time champion. Punk’s music interrupted Jey.
Punk encouraged his song to play again. He cut it off a few seconds in. “Alright, alright, I apologize for stealing your stuff,” Punk said. Jey winced and seemed a bit irritated. Punk said, “Four letters, one word,” he said. He pointed at his hoodie and said, “Punk.” Fans cheered. This is now 13 minutes into the hour, but the way. Punk said he’s happy Jey is listening to himself now.
He said he likes Jey so it makes it harder for him to lace it up against him. He said he always listens to himself, but that’s harder to do when you’re losing or about to lose. He said he had a lot of questions tonight, but Jey’s body language and his action last week answer a lot of them. He said he watched him throw his brother over the top rope. He told fans not to boo that because it’s well within the rules of a battle royal. He said Jey showed everyone that he’s got what it takes. He asked Jey how far he was willing to go. He said he needs to be champion like he needs air in his lungs. He said he knows how far he has to go, but does Jey.
He told Jey he will realize against him he’s a situation he can’t “yeet yourself out of.” He asked how far was he willing to go. Jey stared him down and tried to look brave. Jey said, “Let’s go, Punk.” He said he’s been in deep waters before and he knows how to swim. He said he gets the fans behind him and he’ll paint a picture that he’s the bad buy. “Screw you, Punk,” he said. With increased volume and intensity, he said he will show him who the best in the world. He ended with, “Four letters, one word!” Fans yelled, “Yeet!” Jey’s music played and he leaned into Punk.
(Keller’s Analysis: Nice segment. Both wrestlers felt true to themselves there. Punk is confident and an alpha on the mic, but he stopped short of being arrogant. Jey seems like someone who is trying to overcome insecurity and prove he is good enough.)
-They cut to Tessitore and Wade Barrett at ringside. Tessitore toured a sellout of 13,812. A clip aired of A.J. Styles & Dragon Lee winning the World Tag Team Titles last week.
-Backstage, Dominik Mysterio walked up to Finn Balor, J.D. McDonagh, Rozanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez and said he they had a problem. He said G.M. Adam Pearce has a vendetta against him by booking Penta vs. Rusev and he has to face the winner at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Raquel said, “Well, if you weren’t such a habitual cheater.” Dom sai dhe’s never cheated. He asked what they’re going to do. McDonagh said he and Balor are focused on regaining the tag titles. Balor said Dom cost the the belts. McDonagh said he’s on his own. Dom got on the phone and said he needed their help. Raquel told Perez to focus on themselves, not Dom.
-They showed Nikki Bella arriving backstage. [c]

Alexa Bliss calls late WWE star Bray Wyatt a creative genius.
In an interview with In The Kliq, Alexa Bliss recalled how Wyatt pushed her to deeply understand her character. He encouraged her to study documentaries, horror movies, and other materials to help her fully dive into the world of her on-screen persona.
“I remember when I first started working with him. He gave me this whole – because he does deep dives on his characters, deep, deep dives, all this research he was like, ‘Watch these documentaries, watch these scary movies, watch this, take notes on this.†And it really made me appreciate the fact that it wasnâ€t just doing research on your character.â€
“He created a whole world for his character. And that was something that I took with me, you have to know your character inside and out, you have to know where they grew up, you have to know the world that they live in, you have to know what is reality to them and not just what we see in front of us.â€
Alexa Bliss Says Bray Wyatt was a creative genius
Alexa Bliss said working with Bray Wyatt completely changed how she viewed character work in WWE. “That was something that really opened my eyes character-wise he was a creative genius, and he saw the world of WWE in a different way than anybody else ever has. And he created this whole alternate universe within the WWE universe. And that was something that I found so fascinating, his creativity, and any time that he wants to talk about creative, it was like you had to keep up, because his mind was just going.â€
“It was so cool to not only witness but be a part of. And the fact that weâ€re continuing his story with the Wyatt Sicks and we have the Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks House at the Universals, I think itâ€s so cool. “I just love that the WWE as a whole is keeping his vision alive and keeping him alive. I think that he would be super happy with everything that weâ€re doing to keep it going.†[H/T: Wrestletalk]

Alexa Bliss has revealed the origin of her tag team with Charlotte Flair.
The Goddess recently had an interview with In The Kliq podcast. She talked about things such as balancing her wrestling career with being a mom, her work with Bray Wyatt and more.
During the interview, one-half of the current Women’s tag team champions explained how her tag team with Charlotte Flair was formed. She revealed that creative had a list of talents in need of storylines and Alexa Bliss herself pitched the idea of working with Charlotte Flair:
“This was something that came about very kind of randomly, we were talking to creative, and I kind of like threw it out there.
I was like, well, what about- they gave me like a list of names of people who were kind of like in this little bubble of needing storyline, and I was like, ‘well, what about Charlotte?—
That’s Been Super Fun: Alexa Bliss
The WWE veteran mentioned how the success of their tag team has allowed both of them to show a different side of their characters. Before this, both Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were only shown as stars who were after singles titles:
“We have this long past. They said Charlotteâ€s name and I was like, yeah, we have a long past I think it would be a fun dynamic to see what do these two people who donâ€t normally interact get along with other people or have success with other people look like getting stuck together and thatâ€s been super fun.”
The alliance of convenience between Bliss and Flair was first teased on TV in June. They have gone on to become a popular and successful tag team, winning the tag titles at SummerSlam this year.
Alexa Bliss and WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker are coming to the world of Call of Duty: Mobile as part of a new cross-promotional campaign with WWE. On social media, Call of Duty: Mobile shared that the duo will take center stage in the game on Wednesday, October 1.
This isn’t the first time WWE has allowed its talent in non-WWE video games. In 2023, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair were added to Fortnite, a game that has also seen John Cena and The Rock involved. A year earlier, The Undertaker, Asuka, and Xavier Woods were all in-game costumes in Fall Guys.

Back in the world of WWE gaming, Bliss and The Undertaker continue to be regulars in the WWE 2K franchise. Including the Deadman Edition of WWE 2K25, The Undertaker has been on the cover of 18 WWE video games, an honor Bliss has yet to reach.
Now, fans and gamers alike can look forward to Bliss and the Phenom being part of the world of Call of Duty: Mobile. Their role in the game proves how the popularity of the pair is able to extend far beyond the squared circle.
