Format and structureThe 2026 edition will feature 20 teams, following the same format introduced in 2024.
- Four groups of five teams each
- Top two from each group progress to the Super Eight
- Super Eight split into two groups of four
- Top two from each enter the semifinals

Hosts and key arrangementsIndia and Sri Lanka will jointly host the event. As per a mutual agreement between the BCCI and PCB, Pakistan will play all their matches in Sri Lanka.
